Zack was a great server. Loved the beer and sandwiches out on the huge dog friendly patio.

I didn't have a good experience here. First, our chicken caesar wrap was sadly inedible. The lettuce was wilted and soggy, chicken was cold, the wrap itself was wet. Second, when I called to order the wrap (and other items), the girl said "what sides would you like with that?" - making it seem like these meals came with sides at no clst. She did not mention they were extra money! I thought this was pretty rude. Third, they didn't cut any of our sandwiches in half, and didn't give us any cutlery (we got takeout). Safe to say we won't be returning. This is unfortunate because I really wanted to like it! Ugh.

I searched for breweries in between Folly Beach and West Ashley and stumbled on Fam Brewing. Located right off Folly Road in James Island. It has indoor and outdoor seating with a big wraparound bar. Got to talking to the waitress and there are multiple football games on during the season, so this might be my new spot. On Sundays they do half priced appetizers. I got the pepperoni rolls and pretzels. The pretzels were so so. It claims that it came with beer cheese, but it was more like the yellow nacho cheese that you would get at a baseball game, the pepperoni rolls on the other hand were delicious! They were wrapped in egg roll paper and deep fried. They came with four rolls and marinara dipping sauce so it was just enough for two people to share. Couldn't decide which beer to get so I tried the sour up, beach, light, business launch, and skinny vanilla latte. They were all very unique flavors, but with my like of light fruity beers, I went with a sour. Second runner-up was the Business Launch, but might've been a little too much for a couple beers..

I've been here twice now in the last two weeks and am kicking myself I haven't been here more. The outdoor patio is my favorite, it's spacious and dog friendly and there's always a seat for me at the bar. Lately I've been getting the Chokes-n-Chicken pizza and adding mushrooms and bacon. It's so good and hits the spot every time. Even with a small pie u have enough leftovers for a snack or light meal later. I've only tried two of their lagers/pilsners on hand and a small ipa (sorry I can't remember their names off hand but I'll snag them next time) that have been really good. I have no complaints with the food or beverages. The service is always quick and friendly.

Such a great burger! I've been here often. Their Pizza, meatball sub, cheese sticks. Everything is great! Bonus is that it's also a brewery with exceptional brews! I love this place!!

We went here for the Jimmy Buffett concert. The place was completely packed with people inside and out, but no matter what the bartender always got our drinks at a very quick pace. They were hustling for sure we went on the waitlist to get a seat. And it only took about 20 to 30 minutes for us to sit seven people. We had great service and ordered our pizzas. They came out promptly and my word were they delicious, I got the spicy Hawaiian pizza and I ate the entire thing which I am not ashamed to say. I honestly think that was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. They had a great beer selection. The music was phenomenal. It was extremely loud in there, but it was because they were having the special night.

It can be challenging to find good gluten free pizza. This one is really good! I appreciated it was only a few bucks more. Our group ordered three different pizzas. We all enjoyed what we got. The large pizza- was HUGE. My spouse enjoyed his beer. Pay attention to your bill esp bc its read to you and not shown to you. Our server put my pizza on our friends bill. We did clarify with him ahead of time to clarify what should have been on the bills. (No apology or offer to remedy. That was odd. )But we will be back to get more yummy pizza! We owe our friend a pizza anyway since he paid for one of ours!

Stopped by on our way to our hotel. Watched the Packer-Tennessee game. Yay Pack! Food was great! Pomegranate Breeze was so good! Service fabulous! Servers/bartenders wonderful!

Always a nice place to eat on James Island. It took a little while for the waitress to initially come to the table, but I think that we were just lost in the mix of things. It was nice out this evening sweetie ate on the side patio which is very nice. We had the feta pizza which is always one of our favourites and overall great experience.

I used to love Fam's but lately the service has gotten pretty bad. The last two times we had the same server and both times left me less than satisfied. First time we had literally just gotten our food and I was mid-bite when he came and asked if we needed anything else. We said no thanks so he says ok, you can go ahead and close the tab. Literally eating and I had to stop to get my card and pay. I let it go. Today, the exact same server completely forgot my salad when bringing my family their food. He was no where to be found for a significant amount of time so I told my family to eat before it got cold. He finally comes back and is ready to close us out when I tell him I never got my salad. He goes to get it and forgets the dressing. I'm seriously a pretty patient person but this was a lot. He did comp the salad which was appreciated but I just wish the service was better. Fams used to our favorite place but it's just not the same as it used to be lately.

I've found it! Having searched for years to identify the place, I'm declaring the search over. This is the worst pizza to be found across Berkeley, Dorchester, and Charleston counties. Truly wretched. I almost don't know where to begin...the crust is terrible (like eating a stale biscuit or a soggy saltine. They truly have no idea how to incorporate and apply sauce. This place is just nasty. The Buffalo wings don't suck or my rating would be a negative number. I described my feedback to our server. His response was classic: "I'm from outside New Haven." He left it at that but my guess is that his agreement was clear. Anybody from the pizza capital of the US wouldn't eat this garbage either.

Nothing encapsulates the spirit of friendship more than sharing a side of fries. Sharing a side of fries is the perfect complement to any occasion - a new job, a devastating breakup, even something as simple as a Wednesday afternoon with nice weather. Fam's fries are a perfect example of the ideal fry to share with a friend. The texture, flavor, and garnish all make for an exemplary fry. Unfortunately, you will never be able to share them with a friend. Behold -- a side of Fam's fries. Beautiful at first glance, but something about the photo is sinister. How many fries could one be reasonably expected to share with a friend? 1? 2? Certainly not 3? Either party is put in an uncomfortable position. The person who ordered them may feel stingy if they don't offer, and the friend may feel they don't have the right to ask. You see the predicament here right???? Overall ratings - Vibe 10/10 Staff 10/10 Burger 8/10 fries 2/10 purely for portion size. MORE FRIES PLS THIS IS INSANITY

Everything was excellent from the ambience to the service to the food. Haven't had that great of pizza in such a long time it was truly appreciated! Will definitely return.

I've been eating and enjoying quality craft beer from Fam's for several years now. Everything is prepared nicely and the beer is always good. Service can be hit or miss sometimes but the folks are always polite.

Overall the pizza I had was ok but they gave me the wrong toppings. Poor service. Difficult to get servers attention as she was more interested in carrying out long-winded conversations with customers she knew than actually seeing if anyone else needed anything. No need to go back. Too many better places around.

What a great spot. Love to sit at the bar and grab a pint and a slice. Staff is always friendly. Best pie on James Island, in my opinion.

Stopped in during our vacay to Folly Beach on a very hot and humid evening. The hostess sat us at a high top inside. I think if it wasn't 98 degrees we would have enjoyed our meals more. It was quite warm inside even with the large ceiling fan running. First we ordered the meatball appetizer, and a doz. Wings; Teriyaki and BBQ and drinks. The meatballs were tasty with the red sauce and basil. The chicken wings would have been better had they been fried vs. oven baked which was an option. My son got a salad (smart on a hot night), my girls split a chicken California wrap and my wife and I ordered the Italian Grinder. I liked the Italian Grinder and the fries were hand cut and covered in Parmesan. The girls were not fond of the wrap. They both said it was bland and there wasn't any Avocado in the wrap which is the one ingredients that is synonymous with anything with California in the name. The service was great and the place was very inviting. I would definitely try this place again when it's cooler and I anticipate a 5 star hit! Thanks.

Great beer. Friendly efficient service BUT the kitchen needs a shake up. The chicken wings came out many minutes after everybody else's meal and they were only just cooked. Tasted awful. They'd also run out of every type of salad. Very embarrassing when we were the hosts.

We took our two dogs to this wonderful brewery on James Island. What a delightful space very welcoming of animals. Melaney was our server. She did a fantastic job of anticipating all our our needs and making great recommendations. The wings were awesome. The pizza is the best the beer on tap is a great selection. Would definitely come here again.

I've left reviews for this place before. When we moved here to James island in summer of 2020 this became instantly our favorite spot. It stayed that way for a while. We have seen a great decline in this establishment over the past 1-2 years. The quality of the food has went down slightly but that not the biggest issue. The service has become not only inconsistent but lots of the time horrendous. On more than one occasion people at the table finish their meals before everyone has even received there's . Servers bringing you your check while you are still eating. It's at the point where we won't even go unless we are sitting at the bar. Sad turn of events for a place that use to be so amazing.

Best cheese bread in town I love the crispy crust. This is a real pizza restaurant that has big pizzas with a lot of options and toppings. Their other food is great too it's just hard to stray from pizza. Local beers too.

Visited Fam's Brewing for the first time last night for Harry Potter trivia. I've had takeout from their other location, but this was my first visit to the brewery. We sat at the bar and I loved that the bar top was wide enough for us to have drinks, trivia sheets, and pizza + plates. Our bartender, Jess, was great! She was slammed all night, but still took time to chat with us and took great care of our group. Of course the pizza is always good, as were the drinks. If you're not a beer fan, there are plenty of wine and cocktail options. I loved that they decorated the interior for the HP trivia and staff were all wearing themed outfits. It was definitely a fun night and I'll be back!

Fams Brewing was great. Sampled many apps and some drinks. Staff and service was excellent and very friendly. Would recommend a stop in if in the Folly Beach area.

Fam's is fab!! Seriously, what a great spot situated on the corner of a James Island strip mall. Be prepared to be surprised at how much seating is a available, especially outside during good weather (which is almost always in Charleston). We spent our time outside at the bar - there are A LOT of craft beers of various varieties brewed by Fam's. The outside bar is covered which helps with shading the sun. Doggies are welcome on the patio, too. Pizza rolls and fries were yummy - we will be back for those and to hang out! And, great service!!

We love a good pizza from Fams. The atmosphere is great especially out on the patio on a nice sunny day. Once or twice we had to deal with a rude staff member, but Overall everyone there is great, Check it out.

We were in from Pittsburgh visiting our kids. And my wonderful daughter in law recommended this joint. We got two pizzas a stromboli and wings. The food was very good the chunky sauce was excellent. We had a few different beers that were also very good. This will be a staple of all future visits. Thanks for the good service and excellent food.

Great place to chill and watch sports or share drinks/apps with friends. I liked the options to sit inside the taproom or large patio outdoors with a full bar and picnic tables - also super dog friendly! Sundays are half price apps so I suggest you try them all! The pepperoni bread and spinach cheese bread were crowd pleasers!

Huge brewery with nice size bar and a really awesome menu. The moment you walk in they greet you and make you feel welcome. I came for the first time looking for flight of beer and this definitely was the spot. I love the fact that there is food menu along with the beer menu at this brewery. They also have a decent size outdoor area and it's perfect for cool weather and big size groups. I will come back for more when passing the area for sure. Friendly service from beginning to end. I felt too awkward trying to take pics of the crowd in the areas but it's something you have to check out yourself. The place is big and happening. :)

Friendly staff, great beer choices, and decent bar food. The beer could be a bit colder but that's a personal choice. I typically get the wings. Always juicy and full of flavor. They are dog friendly, so I bring the pup every time I go and sit outside. Last visit I had their pizza. It's worth a taste if you like pizza. Overall, great experience.

You need to try the Sweet Thai Chili wings!!! They were sooo tasty and flavorful- you'll never want a regular hot or mild wing again! (Trust me- - I live an hr from Buffalo, NY!) We were in town for a family gathering and wanted to check this place out. The beers and cocktails are sooo good. We ordered a pretzel, the wings and a small pepperoni pizza! ALL of the food was excellent! The staff were sooo friendly and accommodating! I will def be back.

Yum! Pizza with balsamic vinegar reduction!! Overall, scrumptious. Service was quick, friendly, and gave feedback.

Enjoyed pizza and wings this evening! We had the 12 wing special. The wings were delicious. We then had the Fam's feta which is always good. Excellent service as always. A great neighborhood spot.

The Fam Brewing is amazing. We were visiting the area from Ohio and We found it on Yelp with great reviews. The reviews were correct. We ordered the Chicago style pizza and a cheeseburger. They were both fantastic. It is really hard to find a great Chicago style pizza and I am so happy we stubbled on this restaurant. They had a huge amount of toppings in the pizza and it was delicious. I will definitely eat there again when I am in the area.

I work about 3 minutes from this place and I don't come here enough. They have a big outdoor patio/bar area. Super dog friendly. They also have a large indoor area with a few games for kids or adults. I have come here many times with big groups from work for an early happy hour and the staff has always been kind and accommodating. They even off a discount for teachers and other public service workers! They have great daily deals. We happened to come in on a Wednesday and we're surprised by half off bottles of wine. They also have half off apps on Sundays. Be sure to get the cheesy bread! The pizza is good. We got the white and it had an incredible garlic butter sauce. Be sure to check this place out when coming back from a beach day!

Outside patio/bar, good food, and house beers! What more can you ask for on James Island? The vibe is chill, and the mix of clientele makes it always interesting. Sundays 1/2 off appetizers let's you sample the apps but still leaves some room for the pizza, which is the best on James Island.

They are now my favorite place for pizza. I love fam's. My previous review had 4 stars because I had only tried of their New York style pizzas (thin crust small cheese pizza), but I have now tried many of their specialty pizzas and they have become my go-to pizza spot!

Omg you have to have the Muffaletta pizza (drooling emoji) and yes the beer is great too! Love the hazy. Dark embers black ale, and Russian imperial stout. They have a great selection and guest beers too. And the service could not have been better and still be legal haha. As a restaurant i would give it 5 stars and as a brewery i would give it 5 stars bc of the gud beer, great vibe, outdoor bar and great service

Great beer selection, nice pub grub. Service was spot on. Can't wait to come back to our new neighborhood spot for a cold one!!

Service was excellent, food was great. We sat outside and server was good to move heaters close to our table.

The pizza here is really really good. We get the individual slices of supreme and pepperoni instead of ordering a whole pizza which is really nice. One slice is a good portion for one person. Philly cheesesteak that we had was very very good too but I do feel like there could be a little more fixings in the middle. The beer is excellent as we had the double IP problem child. The atmosphere is great outside seating when the weather is nice. The service is very good as well. We really enjoy this place every time that we go.

This is a really interesting place to visit on James Island. They offer pizza, beer, and dessert. It is always very busy and I chose to do takeout during my visit. I ordered the tiramisu cake and really enjoyed it! My expectations were pretty low, but the cake tasted homemade and was perfectly moist. It cost me somewhere around five dollars and it's worth every penny. Definitely check this place out the next time you're on James Island!

My wife, myself and another couple came over the holiday on a Wednesday around 2 pm. We sat at the bar and we ordered a few appetizers and every beer on tap. The wives loved the bruschetta and the guys loved the curds. The sandwiches were massive and the pizzas were pretty good too. Now my favorite part, the beers! After trying everything they offered I was thoroughly impressed. For context, I am a very big sour and heavy, dark beer guy. Their sours were decent and so were the darker beers. What surprised me were all their IPAs and DIPAs were really damn delicious.

We went for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday and everything was on point. The service was amazing, the wings were some of the best I've had and the patty melt was amazing. This is one of the only breweries I've been to where the food and drinks are great. We are only here for a weekend but this place is on the list again before we leave.

Came here with my toddler to grab a quick appetizer and we were sat outside next to the bar. Waited 10 mins and no one came to say hello or take our order. Two different bartenders stared our way, but said nothing and did nothing. Another server walked by and again the same thing. We waited another 3 mins and left. What terrible service.

Formally known as Famulari's Pizza. It's used to be, but the changed the sign out front. Great crust when it's cooked properly & toppings. With all the cheese and toppings the crust (bottom of the pizza) is always soupy. Very cheesy which is a super plus. And their small pizzas aren't worth the price. Sadly they have turned into more of just a small brewery then restaurant. They are very family friendly and with out a doubt will hear kids screaming at some point. Plus the service is pretty slow.

I'm late to the party for Famulari's Pizza, but met up with a few work girlfriends Sunday afternoon for a 'catch up' session. I hadn't had a calzone in years, just because they are so big and so high in calories. But, on this day, I chose to not eat anything except that (well 1/2 of one). The Famulari Calzone comes with ricotta and mozzarella cheese, but I asked to have some red onions and roasted red peppers added to it as well. As expected, it was huge, but so delicious and that marinara...my oh my. If they jarred it, I'd buy it! They also had a particularly yummy Petite Syrah that I enjoyed with my meal....I should have taken a pic of the label!!!

Got pizza for takeout. It was soooo good, ready on time and the staff seemed so kind!! Would most def order again!

Once I was introduced to the pretzel and beer cheese I never looked back. I can make a meal out of that and half a dozen spice bbq wings. Just enough heat to getcha and not too much to keep you from licking your fingers. Try them with the chocolate stout. They call it banana chocolate, but don't let that deter you. It's divine.
