Haven't been in years but now that I live in the area, decided to drop in for an early lunch to give it a try (in the past I've only been for dinner).
Really enjoyed everything from seating, to service and of course - food!
I grew up on homemade artichokes, but haven't had them in so many years I thought I would try the roasted artichoke.
The following statement is a personal preference - I would have preferred the leaves a bit more tender. However, the flavor was excellent as was the dipping sauce, a nice treat - REALLY enjoyed the heart. Great texture and flavor without a doubt and absolutely no issues at all. Clean of "pricklies" tender and a good size.
Tried the prime rib sandwich, and at first thought that it would be plain because I believe it had what looked like just a little bit of mayonnaise on it. Wow! So juicy, so tender, the flavor was amazing and the bread was light and buttery. Excellent job - I opted for a side of horseradish, which was a great compliment and the au jus was also wonderful.
Lastly, I will say I really really enjoyed the Thai peanut coleslaw, which was my choice of side and the red cabbage with goat cheese. Oh without a doubt, they are going to be my new favorite sides.
I ended up eating the other half of my sandwich the next day and the tenderness, juiciness and flavor of the roast beef absolutely held up with no issues.
Highly recommend stopping for lunch and by the way, I'm glad I went in early because by the time I left it was packed - and I understand why!
