The Best Restaurants and Bars in Ahuntsic | Eater Montreal

"Unarguably the best place to grab a cocktail in Ahuntsic, 132 Bar Vintage is a Montreal mixology destination in its own right. The bar’s drink experts are slinging classics (white negronis, mai tais, and east sides) and creative twists like the “peg leg” mixing Irish whiskey and scotch, or the El Maillette, owner Jean-Maxime Giguère’s reinterpretation of the Cuban El Presidente. Expect a super cozy space that feels more like hanging out in a friend’s basement than a raucous cocktail bar." - Eater Staff

"I note Le 132 Bar Vintage in Ahuntsic is described as a cocktail hot spot, and Jean-Max Giguère from that bar is a partner in the new Tiki Room." - Tim Forster

I went for the Christmas bar experience and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival there was a bit of a lineup, but we were very quickly greeted by such a nice man - reassuring us the wait wouldn’t be very long. it wasn’t - 5/7 mins we were inside. So the simplest way to describe it - the whole bar is wrapped up and it’s like Christmas vomitted. (In a good way). I didn’t have a drink from the drink list. (If you read some of my other reviews. I’m picky!) but they did accommodate me. Christmas spirit high. Truly felt like I was in a hallmark movie. I feel like this place could be the perfect meet cute for a rom com. Everyone is singing along to the Christmas carols. The staff was extremely friendly. Thank you to Brittany and Micheal made the evening special! Until next year. ✨

We went purposely for their annual pop up Christmas themed bar and it did not disappoint. Christmas decorations in the entire bar. The drinks come in adorably shaped cups which you can also purchase to take home. The drinks are quite expensive and also very very sweet. Definitely can’t drink more than two. The service was very attentive and all around had a very festive and cheerful mood. A cute outing to do during the holiday season.

Great place in a calm neighbourhood. If you live in Ahunstic and want to have a peaceful date or a good time among friends without heading to downtown, I would advise to go there. We were lucky to meet Alex, the bartender. He was very friendly funny and welcoming. Thank you for bringing your cool vibe to this place!

Excellent bar tender. Maybe me a vodka and orange juice from fresh squeezed oranges. Good price too! Highly recommend

Google
"Welcome home" says it all. J-Max and his team whip up excellent cocktails, and provide top notch flavours in a friendly neighborhood bar.

Google
One of the best bars in Ahuntsic. They make great custom drinks and every first tuesday of the month they have a special bottle for tasting at reasonable prices. This little gem is located near a park and plenty of free outdoor parking. Enjoy

Google
This is a great bar... great selection, great owner who knows about his liquors. Great amaro collection if you are a fan. Great spot on Fleury street... in an amazingly revitalized area

Yelp
The people behind the bar there are very talented and make awesome drinks probably one of the best pimps cup I've ever had they make a phenomenal Moscow mule! And the friendly neighbourhood bar atmosphere just makes it warm and friendly for anyone to just walk in and have a great cocktail

Yelp
It's spooky season once again . And we can't help but love Halloween themed activities. So, to start it off we went to @blacklagoonmtl a pop-up at @132barvintage for the whole month of October and we were not dissapointed. Great decorations including floating Harry Potter-like candles, a full sized coffin and skull candles with a delcious drink menu that doesn't skimp of the booze. Seriously. And great freindly service rounded out a great night.

Yelp
Lovely bar with lovely Christmas decors, interesting selection of cocktails that are Christmas themed + very nice staff. Would definitely stop by again

Yelp
This place was amazing. We spent our honeymoon in Montreal and this was the final destination of our first night. The pop-up @blacklagoonmtl had amazing decorations, ambience, music, etc. The owner/bartender was super friendly and very entertaining (especially in combination with some local regulars), and the drinks were creative and delicious. Public transit makes it easy to get here even if you're staying in downtown Montreal. If you're into a local bar scene with professionals who appreciate the art, service and science of tending bar, this is a must-see. Also, get a shirt. The design alone is worth it.

Yelp
Amazing experience with the best selection of interesting drinks! Jon and Jmax go out of their way to create the best cocktails and atmosphere for their clients! Best bartenders and best cocktails to tailor your taste!

Yelp
This place was weird. It looked nice and all.. I was excited to try it, but I was less impressed by the crowd inside.. looked like the crowd from Moe's in the Simpsons. Also I pass by rather often and it always looks empty. We went a saturday night and for some reason it felt like a tuesday night at 4am. The bar and the street were empty. Not the most cheerful atmosphere. They have some drinks variety in general, but not a lot of types of beers (only 2 IIRC). I'll probably give this bar another chance though, and hope to catch a night with more people, and more ambience.

Yelp
If this place was closer to me I'd end up dancing here all the time I think. Feels kind of like the Dakota Taverne in Toronto, but smaller. Just a tiny little traincar of a bar with a dance floor up front, a crazy mix of music, and a well-stoked bar. The cocktails we sampled were enthusiastically imagined, but way oversweet for me. I loved the sweet staff who took care of us though and the general feeling of a crowd of anglos and francos of a wide age range (ok mostly young and franco, but still, a range) hanging out together and having a ton of fun. I was there for the anniversary party so take this review with an extra dose of birthday celebration, but definitely check it out if you are partying along the newly interesting Fleury.
