It was my first time going to a Haunted House, and it was very good. Lots of spooky moments. It helps to go with friends or family. The staff are very professional and do their best to entertain and frighten you. The most memorable part is the Dark Room, I had to keep my left hand out towards the walls to navigate my way along with my friends to the very end where you actually are encouraged to enter or in our case exit into the white light. It's family friendly, so the kids can come along and they will have fun and there is plenty of food to appease your appetite, mobile bathrooms just in case you pea your pants from the surprise scares you occasionally get from literally out of nowhere. I'm definitely coming back for a Sequel.

Google
This haunt used to be great, but was very disappointing this year. We were initially excited because it was relatively empty for a Friday night (less than a 10min wait), but the pacing was terrible - 2 groups ahead were so slow we caught up to the pair in front of us quickly walking at a normal pace (the couple in front of us kept apologizing), and the large group behind were on top of us for the duration. In the Darkside haunt these same groups used their phones as flashlights, defeating the purpose of the haunt. The actors made no effort to separate groups to alleviate pacing (as other haunts do), and there was only one actor in the Darkside haunt - in years past there were far more actors, they put forth more effort, they tried to separate groups within the haunt, they called out phone usage, and there was music in the Darkside haunt that would add to the atmosphere which was not used this year. Though I'm grateful we didn't need fast passes, I still felt that it was overpriced at $90 for 2 people for a disappointing and frustrating experience.

Google
So sooo much fun!! One of the best haunted houses I’ve been to! There were 3 haunted houses in 1 and it took 30-40 minutes to go through all 3, so for the price it was totally worth it! The props & decor were incredible and very elaborate, plus I love how interactive the actors were!

Jay

Google
This would be a really good house but they do a terrible job of keeping space between groups. They need to work on their timing. We were bunched up with several groups ahead of us, and at times even stopped walking for a few minutes. Could never get scared cause you would watch it all happen to the group in front of you. There are others out there that do care about your experience. Definitely not worth the $50 min for a ticket.

Google
This place even attracts celebrities. There are so many fun things about this place. It’s in a perfect location with tons of parking and it was very easy to get in once you had your tickets. The stuff was all very friendly everyone make sure not to break character. The different rooms are all very fun and creepy they had a separate dark room which was totally unexpected. I felt safe I didn’t feel like this would be challenging for anyone to do. Such a great fun haunted house experience

Google
My friend bought the wrong date tickets and they just looked at us and shrugged after they told us we wasted $150. I wish they would have helped us just enjoy our night instead of paying for another set of tickets because this place is not cheap either. Also it is a service not a product so what would they have lost if they had just let us in even though the mistake was on us.

megan B.

Google
Fantastic!!! Scary and fun! Will definitely do again next year. The actors were great and they “got me” a couple of times even when I was looking out for it. My husband, who is not a major Halloween person like me even said “that was worth the money” 😊

Google
The wizard of Oz room was really really cool. Probably the best escape room we have done so far we've not done millions but we've done a lot. No 20,000 combination locks I hate those ones. Really cool effects. The people were really nice. When I bought tickets I even told them it was my niece's birthday ahead of time and they added her name to the experience. The only weird thing is when we pulled in it look like an abandoned place . we were a little confused and went in the wrong door. But I'm guessing since it's at a haunted house it's supposed to look like that. 😂

Yelp
On a weekend trip to Shawnee Village Resort in PA, I found 13th Hour online and brought the family on Sat. 9/6/25. The parking lot looked deserted and we were a little skeptical but wow, what a great experience! And after we started, we heard shrieks from another spot in the giant warehouse, so it was clear other folx were there having fun. We chose to do the Great Room, partly due to the difficulty level and "secret passages". This is the 4th place DD, g'kids and I have done together, and we much prefer those that aren't just one room. Our host was friendly and gave us good starting information, then took a photo of us before we started. We thought this was a very nice touch. The room was indeed very challenging & we're pretty sure we were unobtrusively given a few extra seconds here & there ;) We got 30 free clues, and I didn't count but I'll be we used a lot of them. It really was that tough! Very clean and well-maintained. We live in MD but will probably go back if we travel up that way again, even though it's pricier than many other escape places we've been ($178 for the four of us!)

Yelp
All 3 rooms I did were creative and flowed with story so well. I did Grand Parlor, Oz, and Campground ( new). Surprisingly interactiveness- especially with their new room, Campground. The game masters work well as a team from putting the room and mechanics together to working with every individual groups' preferences. While Oz is one of the easier ones, there is still enough for your average person including myself. This is not just a superb room but this is an outstanding escape room company. Where else can you reserve a room with only one person? Highly not recommended to go solo but at least people can pay on their own if they wish upon arrival. I like how they allowed cell phone flash lights but also provided regular lights as well. The game masters focused on customer experience rightly so and not over or under challenging respective participants. There were probably spots that were too dark and many of my teammates and myself coughed on some "snow" in one of the escape rooms which added an excellent interactiveness, but the flexibility and the accommodations provided and the game masters being on point really make people's experiences one of the best. There are reasons this escape room company gets a lot of escape room prize praise from reputable escape room companies. It was worth the 2 hours and 15 minutes one way!! It would be worth a 5 hr drive one way if you plan your day or overnight out and do multiple rooms in a day.

Yelp
I love escape rooms, especially ones that have multiple rooms and physical aspects (ie, crawling through a trap door, pulling ropes, etc...not just all puzzles and locks) - this escape room - the trophy room at least- had that. Great decorations, nice staff, good puzzles to solve, fun story line. I want to try it again in the Halloween months to see what it's like with the live actors.

Yelp
Just went yesterday for my first time and experienced the terror that is the dungeon, every part of the experience was great, the place was well run with helpful staff, the escape room itself was amazing and my overall experience was incredible and immersive. My only complaint is that I don't live closer to it because I would go all the time.
google avatar

Tara T.

Yelp
The Wizard Of Oz escape room experience was amazing! It was so much fun with excellent props and graphics to accompany the storyline. I highly recommend it to others and can not wait to go back.

siena k.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars. My friends and I booked an escape room here but unfortunately one of us had a family emergency and couldn't make it. We contacted the business immediately to reschedule and we were even willing to pay a rescheduling fee. However they refused to work with us in any way no reschedule, no refund, nothing. The customer service was incredibly unhelpful and lacked basic empathy. Life happens and we weren't asking for anything unreasonable just some flexibility or even a credit. Very disappointed with how we were treated.

Evelyn H.

Yelp
This was our first time at 13th Hour but not our first escape room. We experienced the Wizard of Oz room with 3 generations of our family, ranging from age 73 to age 5. All I can say is WOW! This room was so much fun, so immersive and challenging enough that we all had something to contribute. The puzzles were varied and the props were excellent. We'll definitely be back to experience another room.

Yelp
I loved this place !!! I'm an October baby so every year I look for the best haunted houses and this one is definitely in my top 3! The haunted houses had so many cool props , almost like movie sets . I did appreciate that they made your groups wait and my group of 8 did get to experience the houses and feel like we were alone . We did catch up to some groups but we didn't mind it . The actors are all great and best part , they don't touch you . My group did the escape room and haunted house combo and I am so glad we did ! We chose the wizard of OZ escape room as it is new and I read reviews saying it was amazing and WOW they were right . Without giving anything away - I must say it's unlike any other escape room I have done . It's like being in universal studios with how great the props are . When doing the combo option you do get VIP ticket to the haunted house and boy was that handy as the line when we got out to the haunted houses was super long . I will 100% be recommending this place and will be coming back to do the rest of the escape rooms . Great job everyone !

Yelp
Went here with 3 friends to do the dungeon escape room. It was awesomely put together and challenging! Staff was very nice and really added to the experience
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
It was a fun experience. Our time arrival was 7pm & we were done at 8pm. The line wait wasn't long at all. I was hoping for it to be a bit more scary, but overall we enjoy it.
google avatar

Jenna J.

Yelp
This is the 3rd or 4th year we have attended the haunted houses. We really enjoy the storyline and how it all flows. The staff is amazing and helpful whenever you have questions. Our slot time was 8pm and line moved quickly even as busy as it was. Very well run and will continue to come here for my haunted house experience.
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
One of my favorite haunted houses of all time!!! Axe throwing was great too. Would highly recommend

Frankie R.

Yelp
Really fun and well thought out escape room! Came here with a group of 6 and managed to escape the trophy room with several minutes to spare. It was interactive and had a bunch of fun puzzles. Everyone was able to get involved and it was just the right amount of difficulty for us. I would definitely come back to try another escape room!

Dean H.

Yelp
We booked 4 people for The Grand Parlor. The venue was clearly short staffed. Our game started late, we received repetitive and unhelpful clues as well as misleading clues that made us waste significant time. Most of the game we would ask for a clue and were left waiting 3-4 minutes at a time just standing there, only to again receive a clue that was unhelpful or repetitive. I followed up with an email to 13th Hour to discuss the situation and never received a response, which was very disappointing. We had done another game that same day which was great, but this one left us with great disappointment. $285 for an escape room to leave aggravated is not what you want for an afternoon, and it is unlikely we will return after this experience. Hard to risk such a large expense when a similar experience may come up and especially knowing that customer service is clearly not a priority.

Paul P.

Yelp
Rooms were very well done and captured the theme perfectly. Staff was friendly. I would recommend highly.

Amber S.

Yelp
We had such a fun time in the Dungeon escape room!! The staff was very friendly and helpful when we were stuck or needed clues - we definitely wouldn't have been able to escape without the extra help. The escape room itself was very well designed, and the puzzles were difficult but not impossible. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
In the past couple of years haunted houses have been really watered down, expensive, and not fun - the 13th hour was definitely not one of those houses. From the easy parking, the decorated entrance, to the very fast moving lines, and of course the scares - it was a great experience. I do wish it would have lasted longer and that some groups weren't so close to us. We lingered a bit to cause some space between other groups so we could feel like we were on our own. The actors did not disappoint and I can tell the production was really up there. Those props looked so really I thought everything was going to move at one point. I haven't tried their escape rooms but I'm sure if the haunted house did not disappoint neither will they.

Francesca C.

Yelp
So much fun! Extremely organized. There are food trucks while you wait and explore the spooky decorations. Haunted mazes were awesome. Best I've been to yet.

James W.

Yelp
SHOUTOUT to the maid and the other game masters. All the actors were super fun to be around and really dedicated to their job. The "cookhouse" room was super interactive and beautifully set up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Nanci M.

Yelp
The best escape rooms anywhere!! Hands down no contest. Super accommodating and friendly. Go now, don't wait

Heidi S.

Yelp
It was so frustratingly fun with a whole group of 6. Highly recommend this attraction for your next group activity
google avatar

Lily Z.

Yelp
it was great!!! i've been to two escape room here: the cookhouse and john hayden's room. both were really great. the puzzles are challenging but i escaped both rooms! very creepy decor and story, as a fan of horror i love this place.

Sydney J.

Yelp
We had such a great time! The mazes were awesome and very nicely designed. The line for Priority was a long/time consuming and they really shoved a lot of people in the maze at once which arguably messes with the experience. But overall, we had a great time!

Tara T.

Yelp
I took my 13 year old daughter and two friends to the haunted escape room. When we got there, a zombie actor kept yelling at us and telling us to knock on the door first and he would let us inside. He then started making fun of my 11 year old son's hair. This guy was trying to be scary but he was rude and obnoxious and didn't stop yelling even when he could see the kids were uncomfortable. They were too scared to go inside so we left, no refund .
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
Excellent haunted attraction. 13th Hour skews slightly adult, with gorier displays than you'll see at a lot of other haunted hayrides, barns, etc. Hey, if you live in PA or NJ, you know that we have a lot of these attractions to choose from, and I've been to 13th Hour two years in a row, it's that good. Definitely worth your time, and a head above most other haunts. Also, as a bonus, the staff is very cool and friendly. Also also, I recommend the timed entry pass. It's like five bucks more and will absolutely get you in faster than the standard ticket.
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
We wanted to go back for the valentines haunt OMG they did this perfect Gave a couple minute break between parties entering the house so your party got all the scares it was like an all out scare attack! It was the best ! Honestly they do an amazing job there and when they have time to just "attack" you it's 10000% scarier! Love this place

Connor S.

Yelp
I was really pleased with all of the workers along with the environment. Easy to tell that a lot of effort was put into the production
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
This place is SO COOL. I especially loved that our large party of 9 was able to stick together in one room. We did the Grand Parlor and it was just a very cool puzzle to break down as a team. There were multiple rooms needed to be unlocked so it was a lot of fun to have a few smaller teams of people working on different aspects of the puzzle simultaneously. The creepy/scary Christmas music and decorations are right up my alley and were an awesome touch. Maybe it was a little extra creepy because of how grey and rainy it was this day but 13th Hour is not like any other escape room that we have done before. Definitely check it out!
google avatar

Yesenia R.

Yelp
Great set up and very thought out escape rooms. We were suppose to be a large group and decided to do the largest room, the John Haydens escape room for 10 people. Half of our group couldn't make it last minute and we lost. Stick to the recommended amount of people listed online because they were right. You will need the men power and brain power to escape. Actors dressed as dead victims kept coming into the room tying to help us figure it out because they saw us struggling. Even though we did not win they came in at the end and basically guided us to see how we should of had done it. Really awesome and well thought out room. Just stick to the recommendations on their website and you will be good. The haunted house was amazing. Again very well thought out and designed. It took about 30 minutes to complete and my favorite part besides watching my friend scream for his life was the carousel room and the swamp room. SO COOL! Actors were phenomenal and their costumes and make up was well detailed. We also were able to do their second haunted house that was walked through in complete darkness. Also amazing! Will try them again next year.
google avatar

Steph S.

Yelp
Our family booked an escape room here and we had a blast. The room was definitely very challenging and we just about made it out. The theme of the place is really cool. You feel like the entire time you're in a haunted, older house. Staff were friendly and the hints were pretty helpful but not too much where we were given the answers. We really had a nice time here and I would go back to see the other rooms and other fun things they have to offer.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
The haunted house itself was pretty legit. However, this place is NOT well managed and the organizers badly oversold the tickets. I purchased timed (reserved spot) tickets for 10PM on a Saturday night. My girlfriend and I showed up at 9:55PM and, even though I received several texts and emails urging me to be on time or risk forfeiting our spots, this policy was NOT enforced and we ended up sitting in line until about 11PM. It wasn't until about 10:30PM that the 10PM tickets were even permitted to enter the egregiously long line -- previous to that we were sequestered to another area to sit and wait. To top it off, the staff was extremely rude (granted they were overwhelmed) and clearly had no customer service experience. Because of this horrific experience, I'm not sure it's worth going again next year.
google avatar

Belle R.

Yelp
The best haunted house I've been to in years! It takes a lot to scare me but I genuinely was pretty freaked out. This was a great value and the length was perfect. I felt like they were very creative with finding ways to freak you out. Whatever spooks you will be there waiting for you!

Yelp
Best best Halloween house ever. Hands down. Just listen... There were other events too. Escape room and ax throwing with carnival food trucks. Movie studio quality sets and themes. This is the best Halloween House I've ever, ever been too. I've been too a lot. The set design was next level, the amount of actors and their effort 10 Star!!? Yelp
We had a huge group play a bunch of rooms including John Hayden's Room, the Great Room, the Grand Parlour, and the Gate. I played the Grand Parlour and we really enjoyed it! It was definitely difficult and had a great creepy vibe, very immersive and huge! Good puzzles, really encouraged teamwork and required multiple people to solve each puzzles, which we loved so everyone was involved and no one was standing around. We will definitely be back to play more rooms here, really enjoy this company!

Ken M.

Yelp
Tickets are listed as PRIORITY but all they do is charge a little more money and tell you that you are a time frame which is a lie. We booked for 9:30, we didn't finish going thru it till 11:15pm. We were watching people get on GM line after we were on line already and they were finishing the attraction while we were still on line to get in. What made us not enjoy the attraction once we were inside were the groups being on top of each other. The actors were overwhelmed with how close all the groups of people were coming in. We got separated into a small group which contained me and my husband then 4 other teenagers who were disrespectful, grabbing us when they were scared and they were also recording on their phone almost the whole time. They should of been kicked out especially since the vendor says NO RECORDING OR PHOTOS. We paid over $110 to do this and we were very disappointed. We had the most fun in the dark room, the last part of the attraction and that's because we were able to branch off and be alone! You should allow the groups to be separated especially when someone asks for it like we did but were denied even though I explained that the teenagers kept touching and grabbing us. Another place just looking to make a buck instead of putting the customer first.

Daniel M.

Yelp
Super fun haunt for sure. I'm sayin, tho, they oversell the "timed admission passes" and you can end up waiting just as long as you would with the regular admission then walking through the haunt 30 people deep which, y'kno, isn't great. So yeah, try and avoid going on nights and at times that are likely to be mobbed (e.g. 9pm on Halloween, which was WAY dumb on my part) and you'll probably have an awesome time because they clearly put a lot of time and effort into their events and it shows. Easily the best haunt I've experienced.
google avatar

Aishath S.

Yelp
Had a lot of fun. It was scary and entertaining. Specially the part where it was complete darkness. I love horror stuff and usually it takes a lot to scare me but this place can truly scare the living daylights out of you.

Jack M.

Yelp
I had booked the escape room and timed tickets for the actual attraction at 7:00. The 2:30 escape room was a lot of fun, and Josh was incredibly helpful when my little brother and I got stuck in the dungeon. The axe-throwing that we also did was a lot of fun to pass the time before we entered the haunt. Unfortunately, the haunt could have gone better. While the actors we did interact with were amazing, and kept in character, the experience was ruined by this group of people behind me and my brother. They were very disrespectful to the actors and scenery, and even began filming the experience to where an actor had to reprimand them. Even though the atmosphere of Scenes 1 and 2 were incredibly detailed, it felt like we were being rushed through at a pace that we couldn't fully be scared. However, it all came to a head for us at the final scene. That was the only part I wished could be changed to something else. The first two scenes took 13 minutes overall, and when we exited the first part we were more confused than scared, and it did not feel like we got our money's worth during our experience inside of the 13th Hour Haunted House. Overall, it was a fun experience, but a few things soured our experience. I wish I could give a more positive review, there were some things that were great, and some things that weren't. Escape Room : 10/10 Axe Throwing: 10/10 The Haunt itself: 6/10 Edit: For some reason this says I am from Cali. I am a New Jersey Native, so please disregard the location of my review.

Alex C.

Yelp
The perfect haunted house experience!! Spending a little more money and getting the VIP pass is WORTH EVERY PENNY. Skipped a long line and showed up when it was convenient for me and my brother. The actual haunt was altered slightly from previous years but the scares are there!!! The actors timed their jump scares SO WELL and the rooms looked like movie sets. 13th Hour have been improving their business throughout the years and it shows!! To top it off, we were given a 13th Hour Haunted House branded hand sanitizer!! Masks had to be worn throughout of course (COVID-19 rules). If you're on the fence about whether or not to go here, I am telling you to go for it. You are going to have a blast and if you get the VIP pass, your experience will be that much better!!
google avatar

Jamie R.

Yelp
I travel for work and try to get a room in wherever I go. I'm a single player and this place was specifically recommended to me. Chase and Christian are amazing game masters! I have done John Hayden and The Cookhouse and love the way the games are set up and the full vibe of the facility. The location is great for the creepy feeling they strive for and the building just adds to that perfectly. The skeletons climbing the brick are awesome. They don't disappoint with the games and I'll be back for more! Thank you for amazing experiences and more to come!

Darrin P.

Yelp
They only charge $45 for "fast pass" vs Brighton Asylum who charges $63. Their Google reviews are real vs Brighton Asylum whose Google reviews are fake and submitted by the owner Rich Gonci himself. Most of all, you will NEVER wait 3 hours to get into a haunted house. Scares are real and not designed for kids. I look forward to going there!

Paul R.

Yelp
We have been to many escape rooms...this was by far the most amazing, complex, and entertaining escape room we have ever completed (barely)!!!

Dawn G.

Yelp
My son and five of his friends went to the John Hayden room for his 16th birthday and had a blast - they solved all the puzzles with only 3 minutes to spare! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun activity to do!

Debra H.

Yelp
The line is a mile long to get in. I waited for 2 and a half hours just for the haunted house to be over in 10 minutes and the staff is rude ! Don't waste your time.
google avatar

Kenneth M.

Yelp
I went to this haunted house about 8 years ago and thought it was outstanding. I went to it again this year (2023) and it was next level. The organizers of this place managed to up their game significantly. When you arrive, it looks like a carnival from hell (in a really good way). Food trucks, music, and plenty of amazing creatures to look at. The line was long (should have opted for the shorter line) but they keep you entertained while you wait with chainsaw people and random actors sneaking up behind people. The haunted house itself was stupendous. It took 30 minutes to do both floors. Countless people working this thing -- it was staggering and they are all committed to creating a good experience. They let groups of people in followed by about a 5 minute wait. This is what could make or break something like this because if they let too many people in it would ruin the experience. This way, every group gets their own treatment and it feels like you are the only ones in the building. Nice going 13th hour - see you next year.

Niki B.

Yelp
Terrible and overpriced. Staff is extremely rude - cursing at customers. It was brought to the attention of the mgr Steve- he didn't care. And be careful in the dark there - lots of ways for you to get hurt. Would NOT recommend.
google avatar

T C.

Yelp
First haunted house and I would definitely recommend! The only complaints were the parking, long wait despite getting timed tickets and the overall crowd. But would have been longer wait without the timed tickets. Overall, not too creepy but just right. I would have liked it better if the house itself wasn't as crowded. It sorta took away from the scary mood. No one touched us which I'm glad about. Most of them were jump scares so nothing too crazy. I loved the dark room!

Yelp
The kids had a great time!!! Scarey!!! We recommend take the family everyone will enjoy it!

During COVID you would think the bathroom would be clean and have soap and sanitizer for the clients. I'm very disgusted and disappointed as the gentlemen at front with the pumpkin was very kind. However, this is unacceptable and the workers should be doing there job to maintain the health and safety of there guest. The ratchet throwing experience was a good experience overall but will not return due to this!!!
