Here’s What Nickelodeon’s New Good Burger Pop-Up Looks Like Inside | Eater LA

"I saw that easy-drinking, locally-made Mexican lagers are showing up on shelves and taps at 14 Cannons up in Westlake Village." - Farley Elliott

Google
If you’re looking for Brisket, Ribs, or any other smoked meats, Jesse in the kitchen has got you covered. Greatest smoked meat I’ve ever tasted. Atmosphere was fantastic too. It felt like we’d traveled to another place in a mountain town. Greatest vibes and food around.

Susan J.

Google
Went with my boyfriend today, he got the Disco Pirate IPA. The beverage itself was good, but the service was not. One of the servers passed around samples to everyone at the bar but skipped us. Normally, I wouldn't take personally but it felt intentional. He did it a second time as well only coming back to me after I made a face at him. My boyfriend loves going to breweries and usually I like going with him. This one didn't feel welcoming, so instead of getting a second beer, I asked him if we could leave. Don't think we will be returning.

Google
Unfortunately, Jenelle and the staff were incredibly unreliable, irresponsible, and disrespectful. My 1/2 ribs were $22.60 with a “free” side, plus two sauces at $1.03 each, yet my total was $42.59. They only refunded $7 for the “free” side they “accidentally” charged me for, then they tipped themselves $6.50 on my card. It was a pickup order, and my girlfriend was never shown a tip screen, they turned the screen away after she tapped the card. I was very understanding when I called, and was told to email Jenelle, who didn’t respond. When I called again days later, she was incredibly rude, even though all the mistake were on their end. I ended up sending the correct pricing in an email, I got no response. What a shame, the food is pretty good too. Avoid this place at all cost’s.

Google
Great chill spot for Sunday football ( they have ALL the games many TVs but not too loud). Beer is perfect and the new BBQ menu is amazing. We will be back

Google
My company recently moved into the Westlake Commerce Center next to 14 Cannons. I discovered, besides a variety of tasty designer brews, they make an amazin' huge soft pretzel. Bavarian style, I believe, perfectly seasoned & accompanied w/ cheese (or caramel) dippin' sauce. A perfect companion to any ale, IPA, lager, stout, pilsner or seltzer they brew.

Jared G.

Google
Friendly service but This review is on the food. I ordered a $10 salad and added chicken for $6. I thought it was a joke when I got the food. Don't order the salad.

Google
Tasty beers! The oatmeal stout and barrel aged strong ale were impressive! Also enjoyed the Point Duke double IPA and the Flying Duchess IPA collab. EVERYONE here was super cool too!

Neil E.

Google
The staff is top quality. Extra friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is so unique but comfortable and modern. I was able to hang out with the owner and he was super cool and down to earth. Made the experience so much more delightful. The brews are top quality with a selection of light brews, IPA's, and a few coffee choices. Five stars all day!

Yelp
14 Cannons - BBQ So Good I'd Fight My Dad For the Last Rib 14 Cannons is not a restaurant, it's a barbecue cult, and I have fully joined. No questions asked. Take my money, take my dignity, just don't take my plate. The barbecue is insanely good. Like, "I just took one bite and mentally unfollowed every other BBQ place I've ever been to." The meat is so tender it falls apart faster than my last three relationships. Perfect smoke, killer flavor, juicy as hell - I was two bites in like, "Is it too early to propose to a brisket?" You know food is good when the table goes quiet and everyone's just making those low "mmm" noises like a weird family choir. That was us. No one talked. We just locked in and spiritually connected with the ribs. The beer? Dangerous. The kind of good where you're like, "Yeah I can do one more," and next thing you know you're emotionally confiding in a bartender about your childhood. Vibe is awesome - chill, fun, no pretension. Staff actually smiles, checks in, and doesn't vanish like your dad when the bill comes. If you like: * Barbecue that slaps harder than a Latina mom with a chancla * Beer that goes down way too easy * A place you'll "accidentally" start going to once a week 14 Cannons is an easy 5 stars. Stretchy pants recommended. Self-control not included.

Yelp
Good beers, cool ambiance, good service, good food and plenty of parking. Must be hard for a smaller brewery to compete with TH and Fig Mt but honestly i think the beers here taste better than the two big dogs. Def will be back!

Yelp
First off amazing local brewery / dinner and drinks spot. Shoutout however... With the addition of Cuckoo's Nest BBQ the game has changed. Listen up. 14 Cannons is now the host to without a doubt the best BBQ in CA. We've had a lot of incredible BBQ over the years, from MOOs, to SLAB, to SNOWs and Blacks in Texas. We originally found Cuckoos through a friend when they were working out of a garage up a long driveway hidden in the mountains. The whole crew was super friendly and while we were picking up our order (online pre-order at the time) they offered some samples of their homemade beer and burnt ends. We couldn't be more stoked that they have now located to a more official spot at 14 Cannons in Westlake. We had an amazing time hanging out and catching up with the team tonight. This is without a doubt the BEST BBQ offering California has to offer. You won't be sorry.
google avatar

Lori W.

Yelp
Fantastic beer and FANTASTIC BBQ! Cuckoos Nest BBQ was the best. Being from VA - we have missed great BBQ. This places fills the void for excellent BBQ! Sorry - no pics. We ate it too fast. Recommend Brisket and Pulled Pork. And the best coleslaw I've had!
google avatar

Jenn W.

Yelp
We went here yesterday for lunch and beer. It was great. Had two beers and a sandwich. Really good all around.

Yelp
Summary: Fantastic beers, and quite a variety. Brandon, Janelle, Mike, and Ashley are all super friendly, attentive, and helpful. The pirate ship vibe is fun and clever with the aesthetic and beer names. Live music, sports, and food make this a pretty solid place to enjoy some brews when in the area. Highly recommend the Peanut Butter Cup Golden Stout and Baltic Porter, but everything we tried was very good. My wife and I went here for the first time after seeing a show at the Thousand Oaks performing arts center. Reviews and the tap list made visiting a no-brainer. We ended up sampling a wide variety of beers and talking to Brandon, the owner. The place was lively and spirited, but not overwhelmingly packed. A couple of bands were playing live music in a tent outside. Patrons were enjoying loaded nachos and a variety of pizzas to go with their pints. We look forward to seeing their beers featured at Disney California Adventure in the near future.

Yelp
Horrible service, horrible management. If you read the bad reviews, you can see multiple cases of sketchy instances involving the customer's money. The BBQ is the only good thing about this place, and it's not worth being wrongfully charged. This is not the type of establishment that takes its customers seriously. They just want your money, and that's it. Go ahead and read the other 1-star reviews for yourself and you can see a repeat pattern. I've never been spoken to by a company representative the way these people spoke to me. Extremely disappointing and upsetting.

Yelp
This place was hard to find but is hidden gem ! I was allowed to sample before I ordered my drink which was nice The decor is simple and the staff is friendly . They have an outdoor patio and hold special events- I actually came for the R&b sing along and had a great time ! Very laid back environment, I will definitely come back because I want more of their pizza

R P.

Yelp
Hidden secret. Cocoo's Nest BBQ opened inside of 14 cannnons. Best bbq you've ever had. Get the mustard sauce and mix it with the Thai sauce. The guy that owns the bbq company makes everything from scratch. it will blow your mind. Ribs, chicken, tri tip are all insane. Will be the best BBQ you've had in LA, without question.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
Chill place to hang with sports on the tv and good music playing in the background. They have a nice selection of beer, wine, seltzer and food.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
Interesting little place hidden in a business park. It took some navigating at first but found once we got to the back of the building. The place has great bar food to start off, I suggest getting the hot pretzel. The beer list is unique with lots of choices to choose from depending on your tastes. I got the award winning lager beer and some additional ipa's. All really good. Highly recommended.

James D.

Yelp
Came here after looking for new breweries. Right away. Ambiance was super cool. American civil war era themed Staff was very helpful and welcoming Beer was super good. Did a flight and pints. Would definitely recommend and return.

Jared G.

Yelp
Friendly service but This review is on the food. I ordered a $10 salad and added chicken for $6. I thought it was a joke when I got the food. Don't order the salad.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
The food was out of this world! Best bbq I've ever had from the pop up they are showcasing The Cuckoo's Nest! Can't wait to go back!

Madi B.

Yelp
Great place to watch football! We went for Monday night football got some beverages and we're able to watch and HEAR the game without having to scream over other people. Had two options for red wine which is pretty good for a brewery. IPA was delicious as well. We got some food tastings which were all delicious. Def a hidden gem.

Yelp
Fun time hanging with a friend on a Saturday night. 14 Cannons is consistently good. Nice assortment of their own brews, plus they have a partnership of sorts with Rock and Roll Pizza, which is located on site and is paid separately. Parking is easy in this industrial complex location. There was a nice, loud crowd when we arrived. Everyone having a good time. You order at the bar. Plenty of tables to sit at inside, as well as under a covered patio outside. The night air was crisp, so we stayed in. I had the Wreck Yo Ship - a triple IPA with a 10.5% ABV. Very smooth and delicious. My friend opted for the Reaching Sail, a Red IPA carrying a 6.9% ABV. Also ordered a couple pizzas. Highly recommend for a casual, fun time. Good for groups, too!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent brews and great service! Try the peanut butter ale it's off the hook.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
Leased the whole brewery for my wife's 50th birthday. 5 stars aren't enough for Janelle and the staff at 14 Cannons. Atmosphere, food, and beer/wine/seltzers were amazing. Best kept secret in the Conejo Valley. CHEERS!
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the atmosphere in here. They have a wide beer selection and lots of fun games. Their pizza is honestly better than most larger pizza companies in my opinion. The bartender was upbeat and personable, and knew a lot about the menu.
google avatar

Gordon V.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a good beer or wine with a delicious pizza. The pizza is awesome! Great service very friendly and welcoming. Nice indoor area where you can also enjoy Sunday football. Outdoor Seating is under a tent providing shade. Highly recommend

Yelp
I can't wait for tomorrow night! It's gonna be another great night playing Bingo with my friends. I've been at 14 Cannons in the past and it's way better under new ownership. But the best part is... Belal and Kristen, who make BINGO NIGHT so much fun! I've been looking for a bingo place; besides the rec and church for 30 years. About time! So sad now that I'm moving P.S get the pretzel bites, because the cheese is amazing
google avatar

Jeremy F.

Yelp
I was on my DYNA Motorcycle coming from Up North CHICO and had to get gas off of Lindero Canyon Road, so I looked up a local bar and 14 Cannons came up. So I established the business and didn't know what to expect so I said XXXXXXX WHY NOT. This Establishment makes you feel like you are at home and the staff were on top notch service. It's Home. ROCK AND ROLL PIZZA. Pizza and Antipasto salads so good it's a favorite of mine fuck the other pizza shop's. Well the Ambient is for the kids and parents and the locals and for the ones that are on travel for work. You will find no other place like this that is more inviting and relaxing and respectful.
google avatar

Lizzie D.

Yelp
This place is absolutely adorable. There's a whole story behind the origin related to a ship called the Tyranicide. Very cool decor and delicious pizza. The Nitro Frappuccino is surprising and amazingly similar to a cold coffee beverage topped with whipped cream. Trust me!
google avatar

Asya Z.

Yelp
Tyrannicide was an American revolutionary ship. It had 14 cannons. No wonder then that the 14 cannons brewery attracts Los Angeles pirates who come here to recall their rebel roots. Makers no mistake, mate, at Tyrannicide you are inside a captain's cabin! The velvet seats, the chandeliers and the mirrors- this is a perfect place to plot your next adventure on the high seas! 14 cannons is a fun place to spend an evening with friends or family. However, they don't have a kids menu and the grown up choices are somewhat limited. The only non-alcoholic beverages are sodas and water. BBQ pizza is really good, but small. The food isn't inexpensive - be prepared to either pay a pretty penny or walk the plank. While you are at it, enjoy the excellent live music! Aye, fellow rebel, 14 cannons is where X marks the spot! Ahoy!
google avatar

Olga A.

Yelp
We went for the 1st time to this brewery this past Saturday and they were celebrating Oktoberfest, I gotta say we had a blast! The beers were good, the nachos were good and we won collectively 4 of the contests. The ambiance was great and fun and the DJ was playing some good tunes! The service was excellent, we will definitely be going back! Only thing missing was they should have given out merch as prizes for the winners, it would have been good to promote the brewery. But maybe next year
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed the football breakfast specials that 14C has started to do. I had the Chorizo Burrito and wife had the breakfast sandwich. Both were generous and tasty. With an few excellent Arse To Anchor Baltic Porter it mean't for a lazy Saturday afternoon.
google avatar

Leti J.

Yelp
I had an amazing time at the comedy show! It was held at the 414 Canyon and Westlake Club, and the atmosphere was fantastic. There were several comedians, and the service was outstanding. We had a blast - I haven't laughed that much in ages. I highly recommend checking them out. The service was incredible. They work really hard to make sure you have a great time. Best comedians; we couldn't stop laughing. It was so funny. Oh my God, it was the best laugh. It felt so good to be able to laugh and enjoy myself. My friend Melissa contacted me and suggested going out for a nice laugh. What a Saturday to go out and just enjoy myself.

Sande A.

Yelp
We came here because we loved the Tyrannacide beer from Plata. We decided to come to the source! This place is a cool as could be. I love the vibe so much and think this can be a regular stop for us. Love it!!

Maddie O.

Yelp
14 Cannons and Rock and Roll Pizza are great! After moving to southern CA 2 years ago I almost gave up on good beer and pizza, let alone in the same location. We started with the Brooklyn style pizza. The sausage was some of the best in SoCal and reminded me of little Italy in Chicago. The pizza crust was light and fluffy but hearty at the same time. Overall there was a good balance of meat, cheese, sauce, and crust. After eating it was on to the beer. I was able to test as many as I wanted and found each better than the next. Each was well crafted with the right blend of boldness and flavor. I recommend this place to anyone coming to the area. You will not be disappointed.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
A Heff! Hard to find a good Hefeweizen and they have an amazing one! Love this place good beer and fun atmosphere, will be back!!

Kirk H.

Yelp
As graduates of the class of 2000 at Agoura High School, we just wrapped up our 25th Reunion at 14 Cannons. It exceeded all of our expectations! The food was fantastic. The service was impeccable. The ambiance at the brewery was totally perfect. It provide the perfect location for an incredible reunion that got rave reviews from all of our class and guests. I hope we can schedule our next event here too!
google avatar

Sheila S.

Yelp
I really like this brewery. The R&B brunch was fun and lively. The music was great until the end. The DJ switched off from R&B but it was still good. One thing I will say is the $20 for the ticket didn't include anything. We still had to purchase all food and drinks. I felt like that was slightly deceiving. The staff was excellent, courteous, friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Maximus M.

Yelp
Fun place to go for both beer and wine. The service is good and vibe is very chill. Fun place to go with friends.

Renee L.

Yelp
14 cannons is the absolute bomb! The food is awesome, service is amazing and the ambiance is such a warm friendly atmosphere. My friends and I go to bingo every Wednesday and have the best time. 14 cannons is our place. The owner and the employees make u fee so welcome.

Trent F.

Yelp
Food was great, awesome vibe and make sure to get at least a four pack of tyrannicde to go!
google avatar

Lisa F.

Yelp
First time visiting and we'll definitely be adding this place to our rotation! Relaxed and comfortable vibe, tasty buffalo chicken flat bread, and a great selection of quality beers! They seem to have something for everyone, and if you're on the fence when deciding, the gracious owner will spend time explaining the nuances of each and pour samples to ensure you're happy with your choice! Also, such great live music from 7 -10! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Ryan F.

Yelp
Great selection of Beers with funny and punny names. It has a nice covered outdoor space and food on site.

Jolly T.

Yelp
We used 14 cannons in May for our daughter's rehearsal dinner. We had about 75 people gathered for about 3 hours in the evening. We chose buffet style pizza party for our guests. Working with Jenelle Kagay to arrange the event was stress free. All our guests enjoyed the dinner (high quality pizza). She blocked the whole outside patio for us plus some tables inside if people needed some air conditioned area. All the staff were super nice and attentive. I will recommend this place if you need a place for a party

Hayley T.

Yelp
We hosted a retirement party and 14 Cannons was absolutely the best! From the helpful staff to the delicious food. . . everything went smoothly. Jenelle answered all my questions and responded to my emails almost immediately upon getting them. I highly recommend this venue if you are hosting a party, reunion, etc. The indoor/outdoor locations, great food, fantastic variety of beers and wines, and friendly staff make this place the best!
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
I attended the first annual Brews and Crews on Saturday. $50 all-you-can-drink beers? Game on! My strategy was similar to my buffet strategy- drink more than my money's worth. And then drink more than my friend's money's worth. The event was at the rear of the 14 Canons Brewery. There were 15 breweries under canopies that formed a triangle around the perimeter of the lot. Each side of the triange had 5 breweries. After sampling only one side of the triangle, I was already drunk. I drank only five 3oz flights. Some notable beers were the west coast IPA's that were strong but not bitter, for example the Burnin Daylight. We enjoyed the 14 Canons cherry beer. The michelada place was memorable because of their rim job. The blue Smurf jizz from Sandbox Brewing Co. was out of this world. We probably got 4 samples of this one. Shout out to Montclaire! They had about 3 food trucks: an empanada truck, a taco truck, and a Nathans hotdog cart. Surprisingly, they had food starting at $3 for a taco and $5 for a hotdog. I was expecting $18 for a snack at food trucks. Not too shabby. The entertainment was unique. They had a John Mayer acoustic dude who played familiar songs. I was enamored by the all-girl punk band. I don't remember the band's name. I just remembered how hot they all looked. Then finally, Incubus (Scuba Kids) played some magnificent ska set that drew a large crowd. I saw cholos, bikers, Country girls, and hip hoppers all bobbing their heads to the exceptional performance. All the performers hung out and were rubbing shoulders with the audience. Everyone was super friendly. The event space didn't seem very big. However, it was crowded yet there was plenty of space to feel socially distanced. There were all races and ages (21 and over). The women at the event were dressed to impress. The weather was perfect. It was a 71-degree May Grey Day. We brought jackets but we didn't need them. The event had 3 clean Andy Gumps with a portable sink. They had picnic tables under a canopy in one section of the lot for people to sit and eat. We took an Uber to the event which cost $45 from the San Fernando Valley. It was money well spent as we were intoxicated in survival mode after the festival. Needless to say, I didn't achieve my goal to teach the event a lesson. By the end of the event, we drank only 15 flights of beer which is only 45 oz of beer. That's only 4 bottles of beer over a span of 4 hours.
google avatar

Darren M.

Yelp
Amazing service.... Beers and food are delicious. Great vibe with live music!!! Hidden gem but they know what they are doing. Inside is cozy and outside has an amazing patio. Plenty of TVs.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
Bingo Night was a blast! Wednesday night was super fun! Brandon and Ashlee are on hand to greet their customers with a welcoming smile! Great food, drinks and people

Yasmin T.

Yelp
It's tucked away in a commercial/industrial area, and it took me awhile to find it using my navigation. Look for the patio in front. Really cute place with some very good brews! I had a Belgium style brew that was strong and quite good. Tyrannicide IPA also good. Not the average brewpub beer. They also have their own brewed seltzer - a sugar fermented 6.5% clear, carbonated beverage which they use to make a variety of drinks using added flavors to order. Did not try the food because I just had dinner. Good music and sound system. Employees were helpful. Prices are reasonable. Outdoor enclosed patio in front. You'll understand the "14 Cannons" name if you google the Ship Tyrannicide. It's nice!

Lance L.

Yelp
On March 23, 1775 a true U.S Patriot said it best... "Give me Liberty, or give me death" -Patrick Henry Well I can't top this guy, but I'll give it my best shot. On July 15th, 2021 a true New England Patriots fan said it best... "Give me Pizza, or give me death" -Lance L. Ok ok... Maybe it was the beer talking or maybe it was the wine that I was sipping on, but this pizza is literally to die for! So if you're willing to see where it all began, let's go back in time to March 23, 177... just kidding, not that far back. Lets go back to that beautiful night of July 15th 2021. My wife and I went out with our favorite date night friends whom are also married. The wives each signed up for a Conejo Deal (similar to Groupon) for a $50 dollar credit to the winery, Club 14 located within 14 Cannons Brewery. Upon our arrival, we found a table inside and headed straight to the wine bar. The Sommelier Lauren whom is part owner with her brother Charlie (to Club 14) was absolutely amazing. She not only treated us like we were family, but she made our wine tasting experience so much more than just tasting new wines. She took the time to give us an in depth view of why a wine has the characteristics it has (acidity, tannin's, alcohol, sweetness, etc.) and it really gave us all a new appreciation for wine tasting. We loved our experience so much, we even became wine club members and we encourage you to do the same. Ok, so let's talk pizza!!! So just like the winery, Club 14 that's located within 14 Cannons Brewery and operates separately, there is also a pizza company, Rock & Roll Pizza which works independently from the Brewery and they serve up one mean pie! With 5 standard pies available & 1 rotating pie that gets swapped out on occasion, you are bound to find a pie for you! That night and every visit since, we always go with the Hot Hawaiian Pie with Pepperoni, Pineapple & fresh Jalapeños. Our friends stick with their go-to, the Brooklyn Pie which has Pepperoni, Italian Sausage & sliced meatball! And don't you worry about us not getting in our greens; each couple orders a Caesar Salad that will knock your socks off! Ok I know what you're thinking... I come to a Brewery and all you've heard me rave about is the wine, the pizza and the Caesar salad... wait has anyone seen my socks?? But don't you worry, the beer has not been forgotten and let me tell you, not only is their beer picture perfect for your InstaGram post, but it's tastes pretty damn good too! From Lagers and Pilsners to Ales & IPA's, their selection is just right to quench your thirst and feed that (beer) belly. Location! Location!! LOCATION!!! This hidden gem of a brewery, wine bar and pizza joint is a one-stop shop for a guaranteed fun night out on the town. The crowd is a mix and everyone seems to be having a good time. Large screen t.v.'s to watch your favorite sports game, table games to play while you are having a date night with friends, and staff that are all friendly, helpful and glad you are there makes me want to keep coming back. So what are you waiting for!?!?! Like my review already, haha and get your buns over to 14 Cannons and try Everything!! The wine, the pizza, that salad and duh...the beer, it is a brewery you know. ;) Be safe, have fun and Designate a Sober Driver (Or Uber for Gods sake) Cheers!

Yelp
The atmosphere was good! Came and sat outside to watch the game and they allowed dogs which was nice! It was interesting set up outside as it felt like we were in the parking lot but still did the trick with good beer!

Angela D.

Yelp
We just had an awesome Corporate event at 14 Cannons. The staff are amazing and went above and beyond to make our Oktoberfest event amazing, we will definitely be back! A2 Bio

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I found 14Cannons on Google maps as a place to visit after a day at Reagan Library. I didn't think they had food, but a second look I saw pizza. We loved this pizza. Ate the entire thing between the 2 of us. The beers great too and grabbed a 4-pack to go. Sadly we live too far away to go often.
google avatar

Randy B.

Yelp
Love the brews. I like it better than most of the other breweries in the local area. The draft brew, Marooner Marzen, is an Oktoberferst-like beer that is so so good! Love the service. A people-friendly, smiley, customer service crew. Everyone. Love the ambience. They began seating inside, and it's very woodsy and much bigger than I expected. But they also have a nicely built outside-under-the-tent seating area with 8-10 tables. Semi-liked the pizza. It's Rock and Roll Pizza, formerly of Simi Valley. Well, nice crust, but honestly, it's very similar to a Shakey's pizza. Pepperoni is low quality. Nice and pleasant "Pizza Kitchen" crew. I'll be back.

Yelp
Randomly stopped in on the way home from a little road trip and very happy we did. The place has the office park/industrial microbrewery setting, but the interior is dressed up perfectly to be warm and inviting with wood paneling and cool light fixtures. Easy place to feel comfortable. The pizza was actually really good; perfectly cooked crispy crust and cheese and toppings right to the edge. Regular size was big enough for two hungry people. Plenty of delicious beer options. The Czech Pilsner was my favorite. Service is all pleasant with recommendations if requested. They even have a wine bar inside. Something for everyone in an inviting setting; great spot!
