14th floor colonial-style jungle for modern British dining (or drinks at the bar) with city views.
"When you need somewhere in the area that’s undeniably feelgood and arguably a little bit silly, there’s 14 Hills. This sky garden situation at the top of 120 Fenchurch Street looks like The Jungle Book got a makeover by the producers of Made In Chelsea. Although prices can be hefty, they have great desserts, affordable set menu options, and some seriously great views across London. Whether you’re hosting a G&T-fuelled birthday in one of their huge circular booths or swinging by for a post-work drink at the 360-degree bar, get involved in the long list of cocktails." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"What automatically makes a meal feel special? A 14th-floor view of London. But you know what makes it feel even more special? When that view is from this sky garden situation at the top of 120 Fenchurch Street. 14 Hills looks like The Jungle Book got a makeover by the producers of Made In Chelsea. The set brunch menu includes salmon with crème fraîche and a mushroom benedict, but you’re not really here for the food. You’re here for a big birthday brunch that starts with their signature cocktails and ends four hours later with a blueberry compote cheesecake that might very well be the ultimate compensation for ageing. 14 Hills is a glitzy, feelgood forest with 10/10 photo opps. "For the plant person who has an “online presence” (a.k.a. 300 Instagram followers) The truth is you don’t even need to necessarily be a “plant person” to enjoy this foliage-filled restaurant. But you do have to appreciate beautiful things. Like artsy light fittings and hot pink lampshades, and a dressed-up take on a chicken kiev. While the brasserie classics here are perfectly nice, albeit pricey, you’re not here for the food—because ultimately that’s the least of your concerns when you’re surrounded by this much flawless leafage." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak
"The excellent lighting and abundance of greenery in this 14th-floor restaurant in the City means that whatever’s going on outside can be ignored for a few hours. Is it raining? The chicken kiev and 500 pillows will drown that out. Is it grey outside? The yellow lighting and OTT foliage will give everyone’s face a warm glow. Is it sunny outside? Their outdoor terrace doubles up as a perfect tanning location (closer to the sun than the patch of grass down your street) and a great place to get brunch on the weekends. Basically this spot can fix your summer blues. And yes, it will probably be at least £40 per head, but isn’t happiness priceless?" - Rianne Shlebak
"Calling all plant moms, 14 Hills is for you. Concerned you’re going to get separation anxiety from your beloved snake plant? Don’t worry, you’ll feel right at home at this foliage-packed City restaurant in the sky. Their plush leather booths are full of cushions and scream big birthday energy. Will you fancy a cosy nap after the ribeye and a couple of cocktails? Absolutely. But that’s just the risk we all take when dining amongst velvet cushions." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
