And this foliage-clad, glitzy, feel-good forest with excellent views of London will definitely have you feeling that. "The excellent lighting and abundance of greenery in this 14th-floor restaurant in the City means that whatever’s going on outside can be ignored for a few hours. Is it raining? The chicken kiev and 500 pillows will drown that out. Is it grey outside? The yellow lighting and OTT foliage will give everyone’s face a warm glow. Is it sunny outside? Their outdoor terrace doubles up as a perfect tanning location (closer to the sun than the patch of grass down your street) and a great place to get brunch on the weekends. Basically this spot can fix your summer blues. And yes, it will probably be at least £40 per head, but isn’t happiness priceless?" - rianne shlebak

It’s not your fault, it was either that or rewatching the entirety of Grey’s Anatomy and we all know you opted for the choice involving less Snow Patrol and weeping. Good for you. But seeing as foliage is now one of the few things that makes you feel calm, 14 Hill’s new takeover of 120 Fenchurch Street’s rooftop should be on your radar. Not only is there some serious plant action and skyline views, you can also get involved in their tarted-up take on a chicken kiev or their huge fruits de mer situation. "For the plant person who has an “online presence” (a.k.a. 300 Instagram followers) The truth is you don’t even need to necessarily be a “plant person” to enjoy this foliage-filled restaurant. But you do have to appreciate beautiful things. Like artsy light fittings and hot pink lampshades, and a dressed-up take on a chicken kiev. "What automatically makes a meal feel special? A 14th-floor view of London. But you know what makes it feel even more special? When that view is from this sky garden situation at the top of 120 Fenchurch Street. 14 Hills looks like The Jungle Book got a makeover by the producers of Made In Chelsea. The set brunch menu includes salmon with crème fraîche and a mushroom benedict, but you’re not really here for the food.
