20 Essential Boozy Brunches in New Orleans

"This Oak Street destination for Jamaican specialties serves serves an exciting menu of smaller brunch items like fried green tomatoes, cornmeal porridge, and French toast bites; and bigger plates of ackee and salted cod served with yam, banana, and dumplings; beef stewed oxtails with scrambled eggs; plus several vegan options. Try a mimosa flight or the mimosa kit, a full bottle of bubbles with three of the restaurant’s famed juices: raspberry, pineapple, orange, strawberry, grapefruit, peach, or mango." - Beth D'Addono, Clair Lorell

The Best Restaurants in New Orleans’s Algiers Point Neighborhood | Eater New Orleans

"The newest outpost for Charles and Lauren Blake’s 14 Parishes Jamaican Restaurant opened in December, just steps from the levee in the Point. Decorated with island art and the colors of the Jamaican flag, the menu channels Jamaica’s irie flavors, with dishes like jerk lamb chops, N.Y. strip steak and wings, curry goat and whole red snapper. 14 Parishes offers lots of tasty rum drinks, too." - Beth D’Addono

Where to Eat the Best Caribbean Food in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"14 Parishes is on the move, soon to open a second location in Old Algiers. The Oak Street restaurant opened in 2021, with chef Charles Blake in the kitchen diving into his native Jamaican cooking. Curry goat, jerk chicken, and coconut shrimp are go-to favorites, but the jerk ribs are hard to resist. Try the $75 family meal, two meats and three sides is a good deal for four." - Beth D’Addono

"Great news that 14 Parishes has its own digs after being part of the Pythian Market for so long. All the better to enjoy this down-home destination named for the 14 parishes of Jamaica. Drinks are amazing! Food is so good. I don’t eat Jerk many places but this was yummy the jerk pork! Brown stew was out of this world and our waiter was nice. Wasn’t crowded and had open seating! We will be back, thanks for having us ❤️❤️

Google
Food was good but I’m Jamaican so I’m biased that it’s good nor great! The prices are the reason I can’t return. $30 for. Plate of oxtail with no rice and peas….like wth. I was asked what two sides I wanted and I said plantains and Mac and cheese casue rice and peas is a given to us: that’s not a side. That’s literally what makes it a full meal is oxtail and rice and peas. Paid $55 for an oxtail leak and a serving of jerk chicken then the machine made me rip where the min tip was 18%. 18% tip to take my to go order!!!! Eating out has gotten insane! Likes it but won’t redo. Can’t do $66 for some oxtail a few pieces of fry plantains and a two pieces of jerk Chicken. Nope!

This was my first time trying Jamaican food and the food was delicious. There is street parking in front of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive and recommended a few of his favorite dishes. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. The cornbread was good and 3 came in a order. I would highly recommend checking out the fish bites.

Google
Overall I enjoyed 14 Parishes food and the island vibes. The food was tasty. I love Jamaican food and the oxtails hit the spot. The king bites were pretty good. The staff was very nice. I like the fact that they don’t serve your typical soft drinks. My mom loved their bathroom lol. She was so amazed by it and the fact that it smelled good. I would visit again on my next visit to New Orleans.

Google
First night in New Orleans and this is what we ordered! $100+ on food that was barely seasoned! The macaroni barely had cheese and definitely wasn’t seasoned! The Salmon sliders were pathetic! No seasoning, no sauce, no nothing, not even butter on the bread! The jerk chicken was dry and the curry goat… I don’t even have words to describe it! So disappointed! 😔

Google
I am a fan of this place. Atmosphere is good w/ fitting music, fairly casual. The staff is sociable. The menu was fascinating to me - I didn’t know what anything would taste like before I ordered it. Or what it would look like. I was pleasantly surprised - the aroma of the flower mixed with the curry chicken and the rice was very pleasing. The rice with peas - unique seasoning that worked. The curry chicken…falling off the bone as someone else pointed out. Extremely tasty and a very Jamaican-y type of curry. The plantains…good but could have been hotter with the rest of the dish. Timing issue. Ultimately, great food. I liked it!

Google
First time here, will definitely be returning, Flavor was all through my food. (I read the reviews prior to visiting) Everything was seasoned to perfection, fresh, and hot. I took my friend here for their birthday dinner. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The staff was really nice and accommodating. We had the Island kabob (shrimp) for the appetizer. We both had the salmon filet for our entree. The fruit punch was good also. I demolished my food on sight lol. My friend had leftovers. Overall rating 10/10

Google
Drinks came last. Groan. Fish bites were dry and had little flavor. The salmon sliders were delicious. Service was pleasant.

Yelp
Came to NOLA for a conference and I got so many recommendations for this place so me and my friends tried it! And wow - this is the best Jamaican food I've had in a LONG time. On a Thursday night the restaurant slowly became packed. The food did take a bit long to come out but I also think that's just encause of how hungry we were. Mow onto the main course. The drinks were pretty good. We both got strong drinks and the alcohol was hidden (in my opinion lol). As for the food, it was so delicious. I'm ALWAYS going to refer some oxtail, cabbage, and plantain and I have no complaints at all.all my friends loved their food as well. One of my friends actually said this was the best cornbread she's ever had, she ate 5?!!!! LOL. What really stood out to me was the portions! I feel like many times when I've had Jamaican food there is usually not alot - especially with meat. But I can't say the same for 14 Parishes. I feel like this is the most oxtail I've ever been served at a restaurant!!! So it's safe to say I found my new go to Jamaican spot for whenever I'm in NOLA!!!

Yelp
We had a taste for Caribbean cuisine and thought about this spot. It was a Sunday night so we were quickly seated. It took awhile for our food to come out. Plantins were super old while the rest of food was barely warm. I ate a little and saved the rest for lunch the next day. I had curry chicken, rice & peas, and plantins. He had jerk chicken which all he had left were bones. LOL
google avatar

Yelp
Just okay. The Mac and cheese tasted premade and was terrible. Everything except the meat felt like it wasn't salted at all. The chicken was dry like the desert and was almost all bone sadly. Bad quality chicken but good flavor. Curry goat was fine. Just okay. The best part of the meal was the jerk sauce and mash potato's. Plantains were too thick and no salt again. Don't recommend it but maybe it was just an off night

J M.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for lunch and it was SO GOOD. Everything was fresh and homemade. I tried the fresh squeezed soursop juice which was fun since I'd never had soursop before. If you go, you must get an order of festival which is like a sweeter, less dry hush puppy. It's amazing, trust me. Service was great - we were greeted by the chef/owner(?) and our waiter was a very sweet young man. So glad to have any kind of ethnic food in New Orleans and double glad to have it in my neighborhood. Will come back with a couple friends and try the big captain's platter deal and the cocktails. They also have a lounge upstairs on Fridays, the Hummingbird Lounge, that looks intriguing.

Yelp
I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to Jamaican food however I was very impressed with the quality and flavor of 14 Parishes. Our sever was nice and willing to answer any questions;however, she wasn't able to be fully attentive due to the busy kitchen. As I waited for my food I just knew it was gonna hit based off the flood of customers coming in for to-go orders. If I'm in the area again I would definitely revisit to try more amazing dishes. I highly recommend the jerk chicken, oxtails and curry shrimp.

Yelp
If you love Jamaican food this is the place for you. The food was hot and fresh with plenty of flavor. The service was very good as well. Will definitely return when back in New Orleans.

Yelp
Excellent!! I attended a work function at 14 Parishes this week and had a great time. From the food to the service, all was great. We had drinks and appetizers and I can't wait to return to enjoy some of their main dishes. I started with the coconut mojito, and it was BY FAR the best mojito I've ever had. It was sweet but still refreshing, which can be a tough combination to find. If you like coconut, please do yourself a favor and order this drink - you won't be disappointed. We shared several appetizers and all were delicious. Some notes: King fish bites - very tasty Coconut shrimp - perfectly fried, super fresh Fried cauliflower - so good Jerk wings - amazing but beware of the kick if you are spice sensitive Jerk chicken quesadillas - y'all - just get them. The jerk chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Like I said earlier, I'm looking forward to my return visit.

Yelp
The snapper with the picked vegetables with plantains and cabbage was top tier! We will be back again!

Yelp
It all started with a waitress who seemed like she didn't want to be there. We were excited to try this place but she made us feel like a burden. We ordered 2 apps. We waited and waited. In the meantime I ordered a cocktail, the Bobsled. My cocktail came and I slowly drank the entire cocktail and still no food. We then watch tables getting food that came a while after us. We then requested to pay for the drink and leave. Somehow that was difficult for them to understand. The one plus was that the cocktail was good. We never got to try the food. Nothing special about the ambiance of the place.

Yelp
All I have to say.... You WIL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. My favorite Jamaican spot on Oak Street!! I had the ox tail and jerk chicken too.... AMAZING. The service is 5 stars and the ambiance of the restaurant makes me want to come back for more each time

Yelp
LOVE THÉ FOOD! 10000/10 recommend. Everything was tasty. Even the guava and pineapple drink I had. Curry goat was tender and rice and peas were filling. Everybody was nice and welcoming. We were able to get a reservation same day. Great music taste. Great family oriented place

Yelp
This Jamaican restaurant provide some of the best Jamaican cuisine I have ever had. The service here was excellent as the waiters were very attentive to our needs. I really like the inside as well. It gives you the feeling of a nice table restaurant while still being inside of a family environment. The food here was excellent. We ended up getting a combination of the wings as well as the steak dishes that came with two sides. I'm not used to jerk sauce and seasoning, but all the jerk dishes were absolutely delicious. I love the fact that it was not too spicy either. During my brief time in New Orleans, I would have to say this was the best food I had here.

Yelp
Service was wonderful, every bite took me to the flavors of my childhood! It was sincerely good! My only regret was they were out of Rum Cake and their other dessert option. Just another reason to go back!

Yelp
When I walked inside the place, reggae was in the background. I noticed immediately how clean the place was and the decor was simple yet nice. My husband and I were hungry so we got a vegetarian platter with Mac and cheese, rice and peas, curry Chana, and cabbage. We also got coco bread and a veggie patty. The coco bread and veggie patty sent my taste buds into orbit. I was so embarrassed by the moan I released. The cabbage wasn't heavily seasoned but still good. The curry Chana had a lot of spices and a good taste and kick. The Mac and cheese and rice and peas were delicious. I had rum punch. It was tasty but it made me sick, and I woke up with a headache. This hardly happens when I drink alcohol, so I'm not getting it again. Our server was a sweetheart! I can't remember her name but I remember her demeanor and her beautiful braids. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and she was the one who suggested everything we tried. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
This place is so cute and quaint. Very clean and overall good vibe and customer service. The food was OK. We came for brunch but didn't realize we couldn't get the traditional jamacian cuisine. I got oxtail and grits. I wasn't fond of that combination. Oxtails were OK alone. Rum punch was delicious. Family had waffles and jerk chicken. It only came with one little chicken thigh. It was really hot but was different with the waffle combination. They said the waffle was good alone too. I wish I could have tried the rice and peas and plaintains.

Yelp
Delicious dinners all around our table. My curried goat stew had a distinct Jamaican curry flavor not typical Indian or Asian. This was deep brown and had a medium spicy note. Tender goat meat falling off the bones with potato chunks full of curry flavor from a long slow cook. Yum! Jerk lamb was also great. Perfect medium-rare cooking with spice rub all over. Jerk shrimp were a tender, perfect cook with exciting jerk rub. Jerk chicken a solid classic with slow cooked callaloo chopped fine with extra goodies. Home made Mac and cheese, rice and peas, cornbread muffins to mop up the sauce and dead ripe plantains were great sides for us. Our food took awhile to come out, we could see through the kitchen pass through that they were working hard. They also had a lot of takeout orders. Restaurant was clean and casual. They had some beautiful Jamaican painted scenes on the walls. Highly recommend for authentic Jamaican meal.

Yelp
The food here was delicious! It came out plated beautifully. We sat at the bar where the service was fast and the drink's specially crafted. We loved the location and views at the bars! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is delicious! Amazing food and tiki drinks. We felt so satisfied after and their happy hour runs later than other places. I can't wait to go back and try the curry goat. The quesadilla is the best quesadilla I've ever had. The veggies were fresh, and the jerk chicken was perfect. Everything had its own distinguished flavor. They definitely make us want to come back for more! Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Oh and the beats had me dancing in my chair at the bar even while eating. Overall happy experience!

Yelp
My husband brought me here for Valentine's Day this year. I've never heard of this restaurant before nor have I eaten anything Jamaican. I was a little hesitant about going. When we got there, we were greeted by this man who just beamed with joy. He was very cheerful. He walked us to our table and the waitress introduced herself to us, she told us about the specials and what people whose never been here, get. She was very attentive and super nice. The place was quaint and decorated with all things Jamaica. It definitely has an island feel. The kitchen is just towards the back of the restaurant and its open so you can hear the cooks talk in the back. Everyone seems to be happy and enjoying themselves. There is a bar to the right of the restaurant as well. The whole downstairs is small but very cozy. If you plan on bringing a group, they have an area upstairs that can accommodate a larger crowd. We ordered a rum punch for our cocktails. It was delicious! Mine was a bit strong, so I had to get an extra punch on the side. We had the kingfish bites for our appetizers - it was crispy and very flavorful. My husband got the roasted beef short ribs and it came with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I had the salmon filet. Sounds ordinary enough right? But the flavor is incredible. The jerk flavor really comes out in every bite. It was a wonderful experience, all in all. I will definitely go again and I am glad I took the chance.

Yelp
WOW! This was my first time dinning here and I absolutely loved everything about this place. The location is great for parking and there is plenty of seating inside. We came right before the dinner rush and I am glad we did because that place was packed! All the staff that we interacted had the beaitiful accent of the islands and I could listen to them talk all day. We ordered the shrimp for starters. They were HUGE! There three total and we enjoyed the flavors. We each othered jerk chicken, jerk pork and oxtails. The oxtails were melting off the bone, they were so very tender and great meat flavors. The jerk chicken had all the spices, I loved it! And the pork wasn't too bad either. I loved the extensive rum list because now that Palace Cafe is closed since IDA, there is not many places with such an extensive rum list. I think maybe Rum House might be the next biggest list. Anyway, they have plenty of rum to choose from if you are rum-o like us. We had the rum punch and it was good. But when it was sat on the table my the waitress, we smelled something a little funky. I couldn't tell what it was so I smelled the garnish and it was coming from that one round thing. I thought it was an onion and when we asked the waitress, she said it was an onion - I think - we had a lot of rum, So we fixed that by requesting no garnishments on the next rum punch ha. And the waitress even though it was funny. We of course were rude about it, we just couldn't take the interesting smell. The restaurant has off street parking, it isn't too hard to find a spot. It is located near a couple of beer places so you can plan your evening accordingly. I think there was a step to get in. There are also a huge set of stairs to go to the bathroom so if there is a handicap person with you, I am unsure about any elevators for them to use the restrooms. We had plenty of rum and food. I have told so many people about our great experience here and can't wait to share it with the next group. Thank yall for being awesome!

Yelp
Disappointed is an understatement for this place. When my husband walked in on a Thursday night it was basically empty which I guess should've been a sign. However I figured that would just make for a more intimate experience. The waiter was nice and made a great rum punch. Not as attentive as I would've cared for but she did start to get a little busy and she was the only one on the floor. We started with the grilled jerk wings which were unfortunately dry but the sauce helped. I ordered the jerk chicken with Mac and cheese and rice and peas. Hubby was served ice cold oxtails with cabbage and cornbread. The cornbread was at least edible. It made no sense that the food was cold seeing as the place was not busy when we ordered. I was so excited to try authentic Jamaican food and this place totally missed the mark. The manager did stop by and offered to recook the chicken but honestly it wasn't even worth it. $$ down the drain. I would try another local place instead. Just skip it!

Yelp
Been there twice... and have never been disappointed! Plan on going back again! The servers were pleasant and answered all our questions!

Yelp
Was hungry in need of a break after studying and decided to stop and get some good, definitely wasn't a mistake. It has a nice atmosphere and great place to stop by close to many study places. I had the jerk chicken( see attached photo) which was lovely! The jasmine rice was a great compliment to it as well. Great waiters, and food presentation!

Yelp
Horrible service, cold food and rude waitress. Avoid going here, they messed up our order served watered down drinks and verbally attacked my sister.

Yelp
It's been about a month since I visited this restaurant. Most of the group that was there didn't enjoy their food. I really think the only person who enjoyed it was the bday girl. The restaurant is pretty small and I don't think they can handle heavy volume. We had a large party plus the other patrons who came in for dinner. There were only two servers. One doubling as the bartender. She was amazing btw! But it was hard trying to order things when she's also having to make drinks for the entire restaurant. Drinks were blah. The rum punch was extremely sweet. I tried another drink and it was just ok. And they literally only offered rum and Jamaican soft drinks. Nothing else. I'm not a rum drinker and I had no other options. Not even a regular sprite because I needed something fizzy. Be aware of this before you're disappointed. On to the food. Most of us ordered oxtail. I ate it, but there's better options in the city. The rice and peas had no taste at all. Everyone who ordered rice and peas didn't eat them. Someone sent theirs back. Someone in the group ordered the jerk lamb chops and was told their food was probably going to come out last due to the cook time. Well when they came out after everyone else's food they were cold! Not even exaggerating. Extremely charred, dry, and cold. They remade them but that took even more time while everyone else was close to finishing their food. Also, I ordered a chicken patty that came out after my entree. It was ordered as an appetizer. And it was just ok as well. Which made me so sad because I love chicken patties!!

Yelp
As a fan of 14 Parishes since their first stand alone location and a frequent visitor of the Pythian Market location, I was super excited to see that they were branching out. This Oak Street location is perfect and a very cute space. Same great quality food and service, but now with more seating and a bar. I got one of my favorites--the oxtails with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. The portion sizes are a bit smaller than at the Pythian location, but the food is still just as good. While we were dining we heard some pretty heavy bass coming from somewhere close and when we asked our server, they informed us that there was a lounge upstairs. How cute! It's called the Hummingbird Lounge and it has a bar, some seating, and a cute balcony. You can even order bites from downstairs to enjoy while you hang out and enjoy some music. Highly recommend making your way over to check out this space if you're already a fan of 14 Parishes. If you haven't tried it yet, add it to the top of your list!

Yelp
Hospitable staff, amazing food!! Came for lunch on a Friday and ordered the Rum Punch, Jerk Chicken, Beef Patty, plantains, cornbread, and rum cake. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dishes were paired w/ complimenting sauces. Cornbread was very moist, sweet & didn't even need butter. Venue is small, but the vibe is immaculate. I'm so glad I found this spot & would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try 14 Parishes forever and was excited when this location opened on Oak Street. We went on a Saturday evening and reservations were a must! Our server was amazing and very friendly. The food was average. I've had some great Jamaican food and 14 Parishes didn't meet the mark. I started with the Coconut Mojito. It looked nice and tasted nice, but it was very weak. I felt I was only drinking coconut and mint. The plantains were yummy! The filling in the meat patties was good but there wasn't enough in the pastry. The jerk chicken was bland and it was cut in a bunch of pieces, so I had to keep picking bone fragments out of my mouth. My friend gave me a piece of her festival (similar to an unpowdered beignet). It was completely raw inside and our server had to get them remade. They were pretty good once cooked properly. Overall, none of us were overly impressed by the food or the drinks.
google avatar

Shalon P.

Yelp
There was a bit of a wait when we went, but much shorter than quoted. Our server was very friendly! (Idk her name but she had red dreds.) I ordered the Bobsled. It's sorrel and Jamaican white rum. And it's awesome! It's exactly what sorrel needed Lol. I ordered the Brownstew chicken with Mac n cheese and festival. Omg!! The brownstew chicken was incredible! That flavor was phenomenal! The mac n cheese and festival were great compliments to it. Perfection! My only complaint is that there really wasn't much chicken in my dish. It was lots of potatoes and only a small amount of chicken. I'm not sure it that was because it was late or if this was their normal portion size. In the bowl it looked like a lot. But once you're eating it it's mostly potatoes. Overall I enjoyed my meal a lot. I'd be back, just probably order something else

Yelp
The service was great, the staff were all very friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. They were also playing the all divas satellite station - Mariah, Whitney, Diana. The combination of all of those things is perfection imo

Yelp
The food was really really good! And everything tasted fresh. The drinks were really strong... like omg walk home after. The bobsled (red drink) was really tasty and not super sweet. We did go in close to their closing time but they served us and were super nice

Yelp
This place is amazing!! The food was wonderful! Had jerk chicken and beef ribs. The drinks were out of this world! Our waitress was super sweet and the vibe in the restaurant was super chill. Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
This is a review for their delivery. Items like goat and oxtail and curry chicken weren't available, so we went with jerk chicken and brown stew chicken. Wow, what a disappointment compared to Jamaican food we've had anywhere else! The jerk had absolutely zero spice. The brown stew chicken was dry pieces of chicken in a liquid broth similar to what I could buy in a store carton (instead of the thick, flavorful stew consistency it's supposed to have). The plantains were pretty good, but hard to mess that up. The beef patty was juicy and delicious -- while the chicken curry patty was so hard I almost broke a tooth first biting into it.

Yelp
Tasty food and nice vibes! Will definitely go back and visit. The wait staff was very friendly!

Yelp
So this isn't my first time eating from this place. yesterday I ordered the jerk platter. The menu says it's supposed to feed 2-4 people, so i thought. The platter came with jerk chicken, pork, shrimp, ribs, grilled corn, fried plantain and festival(substituted for spinach rice). Mind you this was $53, I ended up paying $72 in total because i ordered a drink and a side of rice. I kid you not, they gave me 5 pieces of shrimp, 3 pieces of ribs, 3 small cut up corn, 3 pieces of chicken, soggy plantain, couple pieces of pork and a scoop of rice! When i tell you i was INFURIATED, that is absolutely NOT enough food to feed 2-4 people. The plantain was soggy because it was overripe, so it felt like i was chewing oil. That's just crazy to me lol i was shocked more than anything. Overall the food was okay, my favorite thing was the shrimp. Other than that, the meats weren't seasoned enough. but the portion for that price was absolutely ridiculous. So if you plan on ordering that, just know it will NOT be enough to feed a whole family but the flavor is there. So do with that as you will

Yelp
We went because another restaurant was closed and didn't know what to expect. It was an unexpected surprise. We ordered the goat curry and lamb chops. Both were very good and the goat curry was awesome for sides we had corn bread which went well with curry, spinach and rice, Mac and cheese and callalo. Staff was very friendly and attentive. If you're interested in Jamaican style cuisine I highly recommend it.

When I tell you this Jerk Chicken was 10x better than my Resort's jerk chicken in Montego Bay I mean it. Sides were on point. Also had some of the sweetest plantains I've had in a while. There is no way I don't come back. Going back before I leave for rice and peas.

Yelp
this place is the WORST possible restaurant ever . I placed an order on Uber eats and never received my order . I called the restaurant several times and they refused to do anything. The Uber driver went there and they refused to make my order saying someone already picked it up . That couldn't be more from the truth . THE MAN ARGUED ME DOWN AND QUITE FRANKLY IM OVER IT . I don't recommend to anyone!!!!!

Yelp
I had delivery. Ordered oxtails, Mac & Cheese, & cabbage. My friends all ordered food as well (lamb, jerk chicken). ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING! Please try oxtails & Mac & Cheese.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! I enjoyed every bit of it! Also the drinks were really good too! 10/10 and another cool thing about this spot is right above it they have a bar called the hummingbird lounge! Nice vibe! Try them out

Yelp
Sweet little spot on Oak St. Excited that they were able to expand outaide of the Pythian Market food hall. I went for Sunday brunch and we got: jerk chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, callaloo & plantains, and grits. All that for like $40! Prices are low, which is reflected in the portion size- means you can try more things! The greens in the callaloo dish were the BEST GREENS I HAVE EVER HAD in my life. Everything else was flavorful but I will be thinking about those greens forever. The vibe is slow and laid back- itd be a good place to linger over drinks with friends for a while. (Didnt have any drinks but the cocktail menu looked really good)

Yelp
Great food, amazing flavor and good drinks. I'll be back next time I'm in NO! Happy hour has reduced prices for food and drink so that was a bonus

Yelp
the food I had was awful. I ordered Rasta Pasta. It was dry penne without the sauce Rasta Pasta is supposed to have; and mushy vegetables. the only "flavor" came from an excess of cayenne making it inedible. same for the plantains, which were dry, hard, and incapable of being chewed enough to swallow. $38 ended up in the trash.

Yelp
Was there for Sunday brunch. Food was delicious. Server was very knowledgeable and took good care of us. The rum punch was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
We've heard of 14 Parishes for awhile now but haven't had the chance to try them out until now. Debated between this location and the Pythian Market one and decided to go here. Customer service was OUTSTANDING. We appreciated the welcoming atmosphere our server created and the time they took to share more about the menu. The food was pretty good -- we ordered the jerk chicken with callaloo and cabbage, and the jerk lamb chops (chef special) with callalloo and spinach rice. We also ordered the curry chicken patty and veggie patty. I agree with the comment a previous post mentioned -- not enough filling. Flavor was wonderful and full of bold spices, heat was great as well, but the portions for the lamb chops were disappointing and left us wanting more. I wouldn't order this or recommend someone order this in the future.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! I had the chicken plate with rice & peas and cabbage with a side of perfectly spicy bbq sauce. I sat at the bar and had two extremely tasty cocktails. Will def be back here as the portions were large and it was just as good if not better for left overs!

Yelp
DONT BE FOOLED BY THESE REVIEWS!!!! i came here with my best friend. we ordered the jerk wings and short rib w mac and cheese and rice and peas . and the rice and peas were honestly disgusting the rice was hard and it had absolutely no seasoning. the max and cheese had bad texture and did not even seem appetizing. we also ordered a coconut mojito and i'm from puerto rico so i know what i'm talking about and the mojito did not even taste like a mojito and literally had ZERO alcohol. if i could give it zero stars i would.
