Cute little bar we unexpectedly found after brunch in SoHo. Darwin is friendly, welcoming, and an amazing mixologist. Had a couple of delish Palomas, and wrapped things up with possibly the best espresso martini I’ve ever had and a sneak peak of drink he’s working on. Looking forward to the next time!

super chill bar, perfect for a night cap. doesn’t get disgustingly busy but still a great time. good cocktails and great variety. perfect neighborhood bar. love he lighting and the disco ball. outdoor space available too! check it out!

Stopped in for an after work treat. Espresso martinis- perfect little glasses of conversation served by the perfect little bartender, I think his name was Jack(?), might as well have been Snack because we were eating up his banter all evening. Will be back, local treasure.

Walked in searching for a beer on way to hotel. Tiny, almost didn't go in. I may be 30 years older than anyone else, but what a solid decision. Excellent service, cold beer, and the Flintstones are on a loop on the TV. Bartender tells me he is playing barstool DJ and hands me an iPad letting me pick a song .... Places like this MAKE nyc ... Give it a visit.

I went to this this bar last Wednesday with a friend and I gotta tell you - I don’t remember the last time I had such a good time! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place is totally worth it. It has a great atmosphere, great music playing and the bartender, Mark, is so nice and friendly! He always kept an eye out to make sure my glass wasn’t empty, exceptional customer service! I was sitting inside this time, but I’ll be back tomorrow with a group of friends and I’ll check out the outside seats.

Without a doubt, one of the finest Espresso Martinis I have ever tasted in New York! I highly recommend it.

My friends and I were in the area and stopped in for a drink, we did not realize that this was going to turn into an experience. Alex was our bartender and took exceptional care of us. We had him freestyle a drink for us and it was absolutely delicious. This is definitely a place to check out if you are in the area. The service, quality of drinks and music is exceptional!

This bar is small, cozy and cute. There's an outdoor heated seating area as well. I ordered the Jungle juice and it was kinda watery and tasted like a Latin remedy called "rompe pecho". Idk just wasn't really giving what I'd hoped it would. My friend ordered an old fashion and the bar tender shook it. Never in my life have I seen an old fashioned shaken. ‍ Come at your own risk.

If I could give this bar 100 stars I would!!! I stopped in before a concert with some friends and didn't want to leave. We ended up coming back after the concert because we wanted to see Jack again. He's not only an amazing bartender (BOMB MARTINIS), but also hilarious. We love you Jack! Will def be back

Walked in, stood there for a while, but was ignored by the bartender, so I left! Spent money instead at the bar/restaurant that was kitty-corner from it.

Love it here! Quaint but high quality vibes, the atmosphere is great :) a true hidden gem --be aware all drinks are wine based. Also Jack our bartender was so awesome and fun. Will definitely be back, this might just be our new favorite neighborhood bar!!!!

Came here for a glass of wine to meet my friend. Mark was very nice to change my drink from cocktail to just wine. Small place but it's got character to it. Great for meeting with friends on a weekday. Trust!

We had a dinner reservation nearby and arrived to the neighborhood earlier than expected so decided to check out a neighborhood bar -- - I am so glad that we decided to pop in here as it was a very good experience. We shared a beer as I wanted to pace myself for the evening and the bartender was kind enough to do a generous pour on a draft into two glasses. For such a little place they had a lot of draft options which surprised me. In short - -- good energy in here and good people! We will be back!

Always looking for new low-key bars in the area, found this spot tucked away on Sullivan street. Despite the VERY limited space and seating, managed to get twos eats at the bar on a Friday night. Place has an interesting cocktail list as well as a few options for beer and wine. Decided on the Jungle Juice ($12) - a mix of gin wine, capaletti, and vermouth. Surprisingly easy to drink, as the flavors blended well nicely (obviously not to chug). Bartender is engaging and makes the spot feel like a neighborhood bar. Some snack options as well if you're hungry.

Perfect little spot for a summer evening drink. Don't expect anything fancy but this place feels very European for some reason. The owner was super friendly and fun, he seemed to have been doing everything from making to serving drinks. No hard booze though since the place is apparently too close to church??? You can still grab some bubbly, beer or froze. Easy and laid back spot with a good atmosphere. It's a tiny bar so prepare to drink outdoors.

I came here as I was looking for a spot to have drinks while waiting for my dinner reso and I was pleasantly surprised. What seemed like a normal bar turned into an extremely personable experience. The server had the best kind of dry humor and twinkle in his eye while providing attentive service. Also the wine offerings were non descript but that was part of the charm. iWe were a little peckish and ordered some of the snacks on the menu. In full disclosure he mentioned the snacks were prepackaged and added to the menu during covid dining so they could legally operate. What can I say, you come for the drinks and stay for guacamole. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Love this place. Quaint, chill little neighborhood bar serving WINE COCKTAILS, which are one of my fave type of drinks. They are such tasty drinks. Fun fact - since they are located across the street from a church they can only serve beer and wine, and wine cocktails, which is perfectly fine by me. The bartender that night was super friendly and so happy to serve. For instance, he took song requests, he charged my dying phone, and he checked in on us frequently. That night he was playing 80s/90s music which i love listening to when drunk.

Came here with friends on a Saturday to enjoy some wine and we were highly disappointed. There were no bottles listed on the menu so we asked our waiter and he served us a bottle that costs less than $10 at Trader Joe's which ended up costing us $65+ which also didn't taste great. Because of the NY covid laws, there must be a food purchase with alcohol so we were given a pre-packaged meat and cheese pack that smelled like it had gone bad and was completely inedible. Maybe the cocktails here are better but there are plenty of other places in NYC that are less expensive with better quality wine and food.

The best hang out spot ever! We LOVE going there whenever we get a chance. Owners are fabulous and have great taste in music. Great local spot, be sure to stop by for a taste of real NYC.

A strange little place with bad music (pop music from 8- 15 years ago blasting), no booze, and a weird vibe. Not a real cocktail bar as advertised. Wine based cocktails were bad, stick to wine and beer or get an actual liquor license.

Stopped in on Halloween night for a couple drinks. Nice selection of beers and wines. Very small inside but has a nice outdoor area. Would definitely stop in again.

Easy to walk right past this place, but I'd recommend you don't. Most drinks are wine cocktails, if you don't like wine this may not be the place for you. Considering the drinks are markedly cheaper than most in the city though, it's a fair trade. It seats 8 people tops, so be ready for a cozy experience. The space is roughly the size of a bedroom but it didn't phase me thanks to the great service. Peter was our bartender, he only works Tuesday night but happened to pick up an extra shift. He made a stiff drink and kept us entertained with travel stories. This place really felt like home, thanks Peter!

Business model? Weird - a wine bar that has wine-whiskey wine-tequila wine-vodka. Still no idea what I ended up drinking at this bar but I will say that Peter is the best manager of the dopest bar in SOHO! His expertise in mixology made the night loads of fun, laughter and engagement. Thanks for the unique nyc night team!

This bar is one that I stumbled upon after eating out while scouring Manhattan during my last few weeks there. Fun fact, this place does not serve hard alcohol because it is right next to a church, so they do the next best thing and have wine instead. The twist is, the wine is actually made and flavored to taste like actual spirits such as whiskey, tequila and vodka. The combination was simply absurdly pleasant, one that you do not find in many places. Ask the bartender for some samples if case you want to know how the base of the drink tastes like. To me, it opened a new world to "whiskey-wine". I tried the Old-Fashioned that they had there, it was really good. The bartender was amazing to talk to. I came in during a weekday and had the pleasure of interacting with the bartender one on one. He used to be from California as well. Definitely made me feel welcome in the concrete jungle that is New York City.

A cute little bar! Seats about 12 people max. The owner is very kind. Not a huge drink selection, but it's cozy. We came in here this past week and really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks are affordably priced as well.

Possibly one of the smallest bars I've ever been in. (Our group of six took up half the place.) Mostly wine, but with some beer, spirits, and even White Claw. TONS of fun! Bartender was a bit of a music nerd like I am so we had a lot of fun dialing up some oldies for the evening's soundtrack. Soul Train playing on the TV. We ended up shutting the place down!

They force sell you snacks (cheese in plastic containers) for whatever reason and we haven't seen this in any other bars we've been to during and post COVID. We paid $37 for 2 drinks (the drinks had no hard liquor but the bar advertised itself as "speakeasy"), the drinks are ok and overpriced. If they had to serve food maybe find some decent food to serve, instead of some crappy snacks that can be bought in convenient stores We questioned the server re the snacks he force sold and he answered "I had to serve you this", knowing that we don't need the snacks in plastic box he quickly passed them to the next table and sold to them, and still billed us for it. We've been to other bars during/post COVID and seen nothing ridiculous like this - they all serve drinks only. It's not just the snacks we paid that's a problem but how rude the server was and that he didn't even care to explain. Very rude and unpleasant. So many other options in this area - Def will not come back again for such bad services and mediocre drinks

As a neighbor and worker of 142, I I absolutely love this bar. From Sebastian, to Mark, to Peter, to Mills, to all other staff including myself- everyone has remained bubbly, knowledgeable and respectful- especially through out these unprecedented times! The music is a great twist of 80's disco and pop, 80's/90's R&B, rock classics and much more 24/7! The space, now and before it was ever 142 has been known for its diverse crowds. Sullivan street has always brought people together. 142 has maintained normalcy, spunk and individuality while adjusting to all new circumstances and implementing new . To ensure everyone's safety during the pandemic and even after, there are plenty of precautionary measures in place! Our current hours 24/7 are 5pm-11pm.

Stopped in here for outdoor cocktails and had a great happy hour! They did a really great job with sanitization and keeping the spot and tables clean. Cocktails were great and affordably priced. Free small bites were included with all drinks! I'd come back for sure

I have lived on Sullivan street for many years and 142 has been a great spot to meet friends for some nice 80's music and a glass of wine or beer. It was upsetting to see such a nasty review written as I know the staff and operators for years. These are honest hard working people who contribute to our little community. I have the utmost respect for Mills and Christine or operate the bar and appreciate them continuing to operate in these difficult times. Please stop by to check out for yourself, I sure you will have a great experience.

Such a weird combination of styles. Exposed brick, but it is painted white, then there is stainless steel counters, the floor is concrete, it is too well lit, so there's not warmth to it, yet there are candles. There are those wood thickets, but they're painted white, yet there is a like ivy on the outside, but it is left green. The hell is going on. It is too tight in there as it is oddly laid out.

This is a cool place that my so and I found on yelp and reaffirmed my faith that yelp Is worth the trust. Will is a gentleman and a true and honest representation of what a bartender could and should be. Not only that he fed us cheesecake.

I must have been at 142 Sullivan on an off night. Unfortunately, I arranged to meet friends here without knowing much about the place. It is unbelievably tiny and unable to accommodate a group. The bartender was very nice, but his bar was not stocked with any liquor. He had one bottle of lousy vodka. It was a sad

I don't know why this is considered a "cocktail" bar; they don't have liquor. Also vibe was weird.

A new cocktail bar in the Soho/West Village area, great for after work gathering. Awesome variety of Lab142 local brew, small selection of wine and a speciality house cocktail. The place is cozy but badly needed an air conditioner for a hot night like tonight! Will definitely come back soon!!

Fun spot to grab drinks. Due to the proximity to a church, the cocktails are "wine-based" which was interesting but enjoyable. We wanted a snack and got the cheese+salami ($3) and probably wouldn't order again -- although the waiter did warn us it was nothing amazing. Friendly staff and great vibe, especially on a summer night. Would definitely return for a drink in the future.

Super cute spot in SoHo. Always a good time with the staff and patrons. I have been there a few times randomly and it's always a great mix of Soho locals and others. Mills knows how to make everyone have fun with sexy tunes. Love the terrace this summer. Please keep it up.

Small space but friendly bartenders and amazing drinks. Go during happy hours if you can! The place doesn't fail you with tasty drinks with awesome ambience, but watch out, limited seating area because it's tiny.

I almost don't want to review this place because it is my favorite hidden gem in the city. This place is the perfect happy hour/before/after dinner spot to go that's elevated with a little swag. Inside fits about 20 ppl so it's intimate and cozy. Outside there's more space that's heated and covered since the pandemic. Head here if you want good music and a good vibe that isn't trying too hard. Will easily become your favorite neighborhood spot.

Loved this little bar but the only reason i removed a star was the amount of space. Like most of the city, you felt cramped and with 20 people this place would be packed. We were walking by and through the windows we could see people staring at us waving us in. We decided to join and when we opened the door, we were treated with a unanimous "Hey!" I felt like we were walking into a modern cheers where everyone knows your name (feel not look). The drinks are a little pricey ($11-$15 for your glass of wine) but I really liked the Cabernet I was drinking. The music was on point!

This place is cute, but is in a compact space, so seating is limited. Also, the pours were pretty conservative for a $13 glass of wine. I would like to come back on another night and see if the vibe gets any warmer. For such an intimate space, I assumed the atmosphere would be more inviting.

Cool place with a very "experimental" ambient. Great location in a very good neighborhood! The cocktail menu is very interesting with very unusual cocktails.

Convivial, neighborly yet effortlessly cool daily watering hole. They made the cutest outdoor seating to match the small and cozy interior that is often projected with a groovy touch of soul train on the white exposed brick wall. Love drinking here and congregating with friends and locals. I always seem to have a good night when I start or end at 142. Cheers.

This place is adorable. The best feature is the bartender Mark. He's energetic, interesting, and pours a good glass of vino.

Nothing about my experience was nice. The wine was fine but a small serving and overpriced. The bartender was kinda a jackass who pretty much ignored us, except when he winked when we asked for the check. The music was weird. There were slate trays with prosciutto and cheese on the bar, but we were given no direction on whether those were "help yourself" "order me!" Definitely will not be back. I also feel like they don't know how high end they want to be. The place was cute, there was the above-mentioned prosciutto on the bar, but they wanted us to start a tab--- most high end wine bars I've been to just give you the check at the end.

Amazing local bar with relaxed vibe and great music. Super welcoming and good value cocktails. Not to be missed!
