Take a Look Around Brad Kilgore’s New Tokyo-Style Drinking Den - Eater Miami

"James Beard-nominated chef and restauranteur Brad Kilgore is at it again with the debut of his latest venture, Kaido, a new cocktail bar and lounge he created with Nico de Soto in the Miami Design District (151 NE 41 Street, Suite 217). This marks Kilgore’s first time teaming up with cocktail guru Soto, who’s drink menu pays homage to Asian and Japanese flavors and techniques mixed with classic cocktails. The food menu lends itself to a “non-traditional” dining setting, offering a variety of small plates such as blue crab Rangoon, glazed foie gras, and charred fingerlings with a truffle cream, along with larger dishes like uni fondue and Korean-style short ribs. Tasting menus are also available. The 2,200-square-foot, indoor/outdoor space was envisioned by Miami-born designer, Mark Alan Diaz of MAD Designs, and was inspired by Tokyo cocktail bars with plenty of jewel tones and gold accents. And what’s a new bar without a hidden speakeasy? Kaido’s take on it, called AMA, can only be accessed through a special entrance and features blue and gold shimmering floors, shell chandeliers, Pachinko gaming machines and a massive photograph of Sea Diving Women of Japan, photographed by Fosco Mariani in 1954. For now, it serves the same menu as Kaido, but eventually will boast its own drink and food options." - Eater Staff

Yelp
Julia Child remarked, "I don't trust anyone who doesn't like to eat." If Julia Child were still with us, she'd probably be sitting at a corner table at Le Jardinier, giving an approving nod while whispering, "More butter." This sleek, garden-inspired temple of fine dining in Miami takes vegetables as seriously as a French chef takes wine pairings--except here, the produce gets to be the star of the show rather than just a decorative garnish. We opted for the Sunday prix-fixe supper, which offered three choices per course, so naturally, we ordered everything. Because, as Julia wisely said, eating is a trust exercise, and we were ready to put our faith in Le Jardinier's kitchen. The Meal: Appetizers: If a salad could flex, it would look like Le Jardinier's. Delicate herbs, precisely sliced vegetables, and sauces drizzled like the modern art that is making Miami famous. Mains: The fish came with crispy skin so perfect it should have its own Instagram account. The chicken was tender, and the beef dish was a rich in umami. Desserts: The final act was pure spectacle. A whimsical butterfly perched on a pistachio mousse, a soufflé so light we feared it might float away, and a citrus dessert that looked like a sunflower straight out of a Monet painting. The Verdict: Le Jardinier proves that vegetables are not just for side dishes or moral obligations. This is fine dining that celebrates the garden--but don't worry, it also knows how to treat fish and meat with the respect they deserve. Would Julia approve? Without a doubt. But she'd probably still ask for extra butter.

Yelp
I was super hyped to try this place as I missed coming here during my last trip to Miami. I love a good French Michelin restaurant but this place just doesn't meet the mark. The lackluster experience started with an extremely rude and disinterested hostess who was clearly annoyed. She did nothing to welcome me to the restaurant which set the tone for the rest of the meal. The decor is so extremely 1990s Miami and the bar aesthetics are so off putting. The like green chairs were also so incredibly uncomfortable and odd shaped it made it hard to eat dinner in them. As for the food it was lackluster at best. There was no innovation in the tasting menu and frankly the dishes were ones I've tried 100 times over (and better) at non Michelin establishments. Definitely don't think I'll be giving this another chance anytime soon

Yelp
Shocked this place has a Michelin star. Not impressed. At all. Food: Nice dish presentation. Flavors of dishes-good, but nothing that stood out or that my palette will remember. I apologize, I forgot to get a picture of my main dish. Service: Server didn't introduce himself by name. After asking about this, it was explained that they don't do this in France. I was sad to learn that they had no interest in acculturation. Management was cocky with snobby attitudes.

Yelp
Second time here I thought the food was excellent but the portions on the tasting menu ($140 pp) were tiny and this is my first time having any tasting menu and leaving hungry. The menu on their website for celebration of autumn shows $85 but that is not offered in the restaurant. One upsetting issue was my allergy was listed on reservation, my allergy was confirmed by waiter and he was sure that none of plates included my allergen and then it was then served to me! This is a mistake that I don't appreciate. Half way through our dinner our waiter disappeared and a new girl took over without introducing herself and without explanation. Not what I expect from a high end restaurant. We had an early dinner and I used the bathroom which was supper messy, there was no paper on the roll and dried pee stains around the toilet and floor.

Yelp
Glad I finally got to try this spot, the food was tasty but not blow my mind michelin-level. The portion size on the beef bavette for the prix fixe menu was kind of a joke, $18 extra dollars, and you get 3 tiny pieces... Everyone liked their desserts. Really enjoyed the wine recommended to us by the somm. A decent $$$ Miami vibes option in the design district for out of town guests. Side note: if they could get the design district plaza to fix the squeaky escalator, that was really killing the outdoor seating experience.

Yelp
We had reservation but we did not specify indoors, so at 7 pm the patio was very warm and we decided to sit at the bar. The miami spice menu was just perfect. Our server/bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our food and drinks were so delicious! I want to go back and sit at the patio. It reminded me of cafes in Paris !

Yelp
EXQUISITE!! Everything about this place is magnificent! We came here for lunch during Art Basel. The weather was beautiful, so we sat in their lovely outdoor patio (which is covered); however, the interior design is simply stunning. They have a $39 seasonal prix fixe lunch, which we opted for. Items ordered were the cauliflower veloute, the salad (not pictured) and the sea bass crudo. Of the two starters that I sampled, the crudo looked the most magical and the veloute tasted the best. Smoky, creamy, unctuous! For mains, we had the beef (not pictured), the salmon and the risotto. The risotto was thick and luxurious, and the salmon was meltingly delicious. I didn't try the beef, but it was consumed in its entirety, so I can imagine was delightful! For dessert, we had the fig (not pictured), the caramel sabayon and the butterfly. The butterfly was worthy of a (Paul) Hollywood handshake! Just gorgeous, with a light, fruity flavor. The sabayon was rich and flavorful. The service was excellent - attentive without being invasive. My only complaint was that the music was a bit loud, especially for a noon lunch. Le Jardinier is the real deal! What a lovely spot for a celebration meal or a special occasion!

Yelp
This gazpacho was the first gazpacho ive ever had and without realizing was the best gazpacho ill ever have. Nowhere does the gazpacho taste as good as it does here (trust me ive ordered gazpacho in hopes that itll taste like this one whenever its on the menu, yet none compare) Everything that arrived at our table was delicious, its no secret why this restaurant has a collection of michelin stars. The service was nice and never felt rushed despite how busy this place gets! I do find the decor interesting and love the concept but i think they can keep some of the art deco vibes while remodeling and keeping it tasteful! cannot recommend this place enough, i will consider this a must have for people visiting miami.

Yelp
Holy moly what an experience. We had the Miami spice experience if I remember correctly. Mid September. Came with my co workers for a work retreat lunch. Best gazpacho I ever had. I salivate thinking of it The cilantro chicken was great. I don't love cilantro. I loved this. The smote dessert was fab. Friends enjoyed the salmon and squid ink pasta. They got the lobster pasta a la carte. Cocktails also good. Service incredible. Did not feel uppidy so the vibe was nice. Whatever you get to eat here will be great. I think their menu changes often.

Yelp
We visited Le Jardinier for Miami Spice lunch, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's ambiance is absolutely stunning, with a sleek, modern design that's softened by an abundance of greenery. We had initially made a reservation for four indoors, however had an friend join us last minute, the hostess was incredibly accommodating and moved our reservation outside. The patio was perfect for a relaxing afternoon meal, offering a peaceful escape in the heart of Miami. To start, I opted for the heirloom tomato salad. The tomatoes were bursting with flavor, perfectly paired with creamy burrata, crisp cucumber, and avocado, all brought together with a tangy balsamic dressing. My husband tried the melon gazpacho, which was refreshing and light, with a subtle sweetness from the charred cantaloupe and a nice crunch from the sourdough croutons. For the entrée, I was initially excited to try the cilantro-marinated roasted chicken, but unfortunately, they were out. I went with the squid ink linguine, which was a great alternative. Some people in our party tried the salmon and said it was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin and tender, flaky flesh. It was served with spinach orzo and confit heirloom tomatoes, which added vibrant flavors to the dish. For dessert, we tried the summer flower profiterole and the tropical s'more. The profiterole was light and airy, with a delightful coconut crumble and a fruity raspberry cherry confit. The tropical s'more was absolutely delicious!!! It was a fun twist on a classic, with a toasted mango marshmallow, rich chocolate mousse, and crunchy graham cracker crisps, a refreshing way to end the meal. I highly recommend visiting, especially during Miami Spice, to savor their creative, garden-inspired dishes.

Yelp
This place capped off a really excellent food experience during our trip to Miami. I planned this trip for GF's birthday and, being Michelin restaurant bitches, thought reserving a table at a Michelin star restaurant for the birthday dinner would be a nice touch. This was one of the very, very few restaurants in that category that has vegetarian options. We arrived after a quicker-than-expected trip from our South Beach hotel. I had actually changed the reservation from 7pm to 6:30pm because we are more granny-esque than I like to admit and this change was easy and painless. It's hard to miss because as you are approaching, it's the jungle in the corner of that outdoor mall. They went all out in the foliage department which provided a refreshing source of oxygen. They have a nice outdoor space but, given the August weather, I reserved a table inside. The indoors is also super unique and cool with a modern art deco vibe. The chairs are very cool and SPIN which is dangerous if you have difficulties sitting still like I do. I couldn't believe all of our dining neighbors and their ability to sit in these chairs WITHOUT spinning back and forth. Kudos. The service was excellent. We were checked on very frequently. No waiting-for-literally-anyone hostage situations here. Drink menu was top notch. I started with something that had vanilla in it, served in a quaint nick and Nora glass. This was tasty but nothing compared to the summer passion GF ordered with tequila, ginger liqueur, passion fruit, lime, agave, cucumber jalapeño that was yellow and SPECTACULAR. Full disclosure, if your nose is as large as mine, there is some pepper garnish on top that will continuously attach itself to your nose after every sip. For the second found, I couldn't resist ordering that summer shit, GF switched it up and went with the One Spritz with ketel one cucumber and mint, st germain, watermelon, and Prosecco. Very refreshing and bubbly with a strong watermelon flavor. We both went with the Miami Spice 3 course option. I went with all of the vegetarian selections (beet salad and pappardelle). GF ordered the other options (salmon tartare with caviar, pacific striped bass). The beet salad was a nice contrast between beets and creamy whipped goat cheese. The pappardelle was FANTASTIC. The noodles were the perfect texture, the zucchini pesto was delicious, one of the better pestos I have had recently. When asked what GF thought of hers she says, "I thought it was delicious, you know that, was that a question?" For dessert, we were both served some thing I can't even describe but did contain something that resembled the cookie part of a macaron with coconut whipped cream and a bunch of meringue-like things. Everything about the experience was amazing and could not have gone better.

Yelp
I usually don't leave Yelp reviews for places I try when traveling but I felt motivated enough to share my thoughts for this one. I am honestly puzzled why this place has a Michelin star. The first thing I noticed when coming in was how dirty the chairs were. You'd think for a fine dining restaurant they'd bother switching out the stained fabric chairs for something nicer. Service was also incredibly slow. I only tried the Miami Spice menu, and in my experience restaurant week menus usually are way worse than a restaurant's actual quality of food. Therefore my review may be subjective. The plating was terrible and sloppy. The food was also underwhelming. Highlights were I did like the salmon and the dash of lemon. It was on the oily side but still fairly well cooked. The linguine was also great, I felt the quality of the pasta was more in line with my expectations. Dessert was unremarkable. It was too sweet but not bad at least. The non alcoholic cucumber drink just tasted like a worse version of green juice and that was from their regular menu. Thus, again, I really don't understand why this place even has a Michelin star.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed at this restaurant. And to be honest, confused on how they got their Michelin star. Made a reservation to try out during Miami spice offering. Sat in their terrace area which was humid and hot. The service was OK , but the food was nothing to write home about. When the highlight of the menu is the free bread you know there's something wrong. I'm glad I got to try it, but I don't see myself going back .

Yelp
I came to jardinier for lunch and i thought it was a good meal but didn't stand out. I was actually a bit surprised it was Michelin starred. The salmon was very tasty and was cooked exactly how I requested. The gaspacho was good but nothing super special. If you come for Miami spice, the profiterole is really delicious. The setting is really nice -- outside feels casual and perfect for lunch. The inside is much more high-end and luxurious.

Yelp
Miami Spice at Le Jardinier in Miami Design District which is a Michelin Star restaurant We had the pleasire of trying every dish on the miami spice menu since we were a larger group. Overall service was 10/10 and food was too! My favorite dishes were the Melon Gazpacho to start which theu poured for us fresh at the table. Followed bh the Pan seared salmon which was cooked to perfection with extra crispy skin and well seasoned Orzo. For dessert there was one option of the summer flower profiterole which the whole table enjoyed it was on the very sweet side. Overall i reccomend! The portions are definitely on the smaller side but we were satisfied at the end of the meal.

Yelp
I came for Miami Spice and I was kinda scared because of the reviews before. The food was good, but I definitely agree with other Yelpers on here. The staff didn't seem knowledgeable in the menu items. I also sat in the chair that had the fabric torn which others complained about in here. It didn't bother me, but I don't think Michelin Star restaurants operate like this.

Yelp
We visited Le Jardinier for Brunch after hearing about it and seeing all the beautiful food posted on their instagram. We started with the steak tartar which did not disappoint. It was tradition, traditional, and tasted fresh and delicious. The drinks were amazing. But it was disappointed that the only champagne by the glass that they had available was the most expensive one on the menu. We also had their risotto which was so delicious plates very small typical for Michelin star restaurant. Overall it was great but I didn't feel the same service or food quality for a Michelin star restaurant. Will not go back but it was a nice experience overall.

Yelp
Located in the Design District Miami, Michelin Star @lejardiniermiami is a culinary journey. We were delighted to try their new "Celebration of Spring" menu by Chef the Cuisine @chefpasco88. What a masterclass dinner service! For now, lets talk about the cocktails and starters, shall we? Started with the Burrata with Peach and Blackberry dish. What a beauty! The freshest burrata Ive ever tasted, honestly. Then followed by the exquisitely prepared Snapper Crudo and Melon Gazpacho. We were both in awe! But wait there's more. We also had the perfectly cooked Seared Scallops. So fresh and flavorful. It was simply to die for. While indulging in these apps, I highly suggest to try their signature cocktails. Each concoction is carefully crafted and I guarantee that you'll be impressed. I highly suggest the Le Petit Croissant, Mrs Bong, Fraise Tomate, and the Celebre. All are served in a low ball with crystal a clear cube and pretty garnish. The flavor profiles are so different from one another and we enjoyed every single one of them. Well balanced and not too sweet. Moving on to the entrees and desserts. We started the Farro Risotto and Im a big fan of all risottos but this creation was on another level. Perfect texture and flavor was out of this world. We also share the Wagyu Bavette and the Dorade. Now this is a surf n turn at its best. Steak was cooked too perfection and the fish was flaky and moist with a beautiful skin. First time trying Dorade and it tasted very clean and pretty meaty too. Together with baby leeks and hazelnut gremolata, my mouth was dancing. We also had the Roasted Corn Succotash and Truffle Fries. Both were highly addictive, especially the corn. Mind blown! As for dessert, we shared the seasonal Pear Crème Brûlée and the beautiful Carrot Cake, Cream Cheese Pandan Cotta. That Crème Brûlée was over the top. Not too sweet and just melted in my mouth. The Carrot Cake was a work of art. This is not your ordinary carrot cake. It was a masterpiece. (Look at my pics) We really enjoyed our visit here. From the service, ambiance and food. Chef Christian Pasco revamped the menu to another level with a Miami twist. His execution and presentation are truly remarkable and will make any patron to come back for more. Love this place. It's perfect for a chill romantic night. It's a little hidden from the main street so it's a good choice if you want some privacy.

Yelp
Save yourself a plane ticket to Paris... just drive to beautiful Design District and lunch or dinner at Le Jardinier! The food is exquisite; fresh, light, innovative. Expertly served and explained with great care and accuracy. It is a gourmet experience, an event. The restaurant is impeccably kept, fantastic music plays (at a volume that allows for conversation and interaction! Imagine this, here in Miami!). Despite their well choreographed service, we asked for a slightly different meal for one of our guests that was pescatarian and Chef was happy to accommodate. Drinks were wonderful. Le Jardinier has been, and continues to be, simply elevated and superb!
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience at Le Jardinier! To start the drinks were delicious I had a mocktail called Ananas which was absolutely delicious. By far one of the best mocktails i've ever had. We went for both the dinner and lunch menus of Miami spice. Both times we went the food and service were amazing. The beet salad was super flavorful. The pork dish absolutely blew my mind. The flavors all worked really well together. The chicken on the lunch menu was also really delicious, I didn't expect chicken to taste so good. I got the s'more both times because of how chocolatey and tasty they were. The interior of the restaurant was also very clean and inviting. Le Jardinier is definitely worth a try!

Yelp
I really wish they had half stars to award as my experience is probably closer to 3 1/2 then it is to 4. From the moment we arrived the hostess seemed confused, little did we know that was a preview of the entire night. Honestly, I'm a little surprised that this restaurant still has a Michelin star, as it is good, but not great. Most of the food was very good. however, from the moment we placed the reservation and again when we walked in, we made the staff alert to an allergy, second dish that came out the allergen was on the plate, the waiter brushed it off and said the kitchen messed up. I've never had that happen in a high-end restaurant before. One of the courses was steak, and I found that a little tough. i've been to many Michelin starred restaurant and always find myself wanting more and being satisfied. I left here somewhat hungry and yet at the same time not wanting anymore of their food. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe it's because our waiter stopped serving us after the second course and we never saw him again, maybe because we didn't really know who was serving us as no one seemed to be taking a lead, maybe it was the mistake or maybe it was the cold reception right from the beginning, but either way it wasn't the great evening that I had hoped for, good thing I had great company with me or I would've really been upset

Yelp
I had been wanting to dine at Le Jardinier for a while now & what better time than during MiamiSpice?!? My sister-in-law invited me to brunch Sunday & I was delighted. The restaurant is lovely & (although quite hot) the patio, with its many fans, managed to not be too oppressive. My sis was running late so I perused the MS cocktail menu but alas, the one I had chosen, THE ONE SPRITZ (Ketel One Cucumber & Mint, St. Germain, Watermelon, Prosecco) was not available so I went with my 2nd choice, the PROVENCAL (Butterfly Pea Blossom infused No3 Gin, Giffard Violette Liqueur, Lemon, Tonic) and LOVED it! Our waiter, Jose was super attentive & made sure I had everything I needed. As soon as my sis arrived, we made our selections from the MS menu, making sure to not order the same so we could try everything! MELON GAZPACHO (CHARRED CANTALOUPE, SOURDOUGH) for her and HEIRLOOM TOMATO SALAD (BURRATA, CUCUMBER AND AVOCADO, BALSAMIC DRESSING) for me. Both decent but I wasn't wowed. Mine lacked flavour & hers was too vinegary tasting & I didn't detect even a hint of char, sadly. Next was our mains, PAN SEARED SALMON (SPINACH ORZO, CONFIT HEIRLOOM TOMATO, PINE NUT GREMOLATA) for her and CILANTRO MARINATED THEN ROASTED CHICKEN (PEARLED COUSCOUS SALAD) for me. Unfortunately, they were out of the SALMON so she went with the SQUID INK LINGUINE (SUMMER VEGETABLE COMPOTE, SHAVED PARMESAN). My chicken looked beautiful but after a lackluster first bite, I realized the chicken had not been cooked thru! UGH! Immediately sent it back but when I received the new one, that just didn't seem all the way cooked either. Andres, the buser who was very sweet, made sure my drinks kept flowing and our bread basket was full so i let it go & ate some bread & readied myself for the amazing desserts I had seen online! SUMMER FLOWER (PROFITEROLE, COCONUT CRUMBLE, RASPBERRY CHERRY CONFIT) for me and TROPICAL S'MORE (TOASTED MANGO MARSHMALLOW, CHOCOLATE MOUSSE, GRAHAM CRACKER CRISPS) for her. Both delicious but mine definitely looked like the Amazon version of what I had seen on Instagram ("what you order vs what you get). Again, they were delicious so I didn't complain. When the bill came, Jose had graciously comped 2 of my cocktails. Thanks Jose! All in all we had a nice time. I would consider returning but hope they have not run out of my 1st choice items and will avoid the chicken at all costs.

Yelp
Tried this cute little spot during Miami Spice 2023. Le Jardiniere is a Michelin star restaurant so this was a great way to try it out. The fish was very fresh and tasty. The service was great as they were very attentive. The food wasn't the best I've had unfortunately, so glad I came here during Miami spice. If you're in the design district it's a cute little lunch spot, not crazy about it for dinner.

Tasneem I.

Yelp
The food at Le Jardinier was delicious and high quality. We really enjoyed their fixed winter menu. The only downside was that the green chairs were dirty, which was disappointing.

Yelp
Went for brunch on Sunday and had an amazing time! We did the Miami spice menu and it was a great deal! The tomato and burrata salad was great! I then had the salmon which was so tasty and the s'mores dessert was out of this world! Highly recommend anyone to come during Miami spice!

Yelp
Miami Spice at Le Jardinier was superb. For $35, three courses - tomato and burrata salad with a nice tangy dressing, perfectly cooked salmon filet with melt in your mouth orzo and a raspberry take on profiteroles for dessert. Great tastes. Not bad portions. Great deal. Service was perfect - Henderson and the team behind the bar were attentive, friendly and helpful. And it's a nice, pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
Friends and I came to check out this place for Miami Spice and the food was good. The cocktails had an appealing presentation and so did the food. I was indecisive with what drink I wanted to order and the waiter ensured me they can make me another drink if I wasn't satisfied with any drinks I ordered. Generally, waiters don't offer that option right off the bat so I appreciated that. The flavors of the dishes were good but nothing out of this world. I loved the interior so much, it smells like a spa and feels pretty vibey.

Yelp
Been wanting to check out this Michelin star resturant for a while and came for Miami Spice. The resturant is super cute inside with a very classy feel. Service was great and everyone was attentive. The food presentation was amazing and beautiful put together like an art! Limited menu but it was all great. The sea bass with the kale and potato puree was delicious. And if you are into espresso martini's, definitely try the mocha martini!
google avatar

Antonio C.

Yelp
I had high expectations for this place considering they were awarded a Michelin star. I decided to give it a try for Miami Spice. The food was good but nothing out of this world. The best was the suckling pug porchetta and the salmon tartare. The place is really vibey with a nice bar and the service was great. If you like espresso martinis, you have to try their mocha espresso martini.

Yelp
It is my second time visiting this restaurant. This time we tried the Taste of spring 4-course dinner by Michelin starred chef Alain Verzeroli. Food, drinks and service were very good, and nothing more. Is this what you expect from a Michelin star restaurant ? Not for me . Is it what I was expecting for a $400 plus dinner for two? No. Will I keep repeating myself? I do not think so. The only thing I will remember after this night, is the delicious mouthwatering carrot cake dessert. The rest was good but forgettable.

Yelp
Loved this Michelin experience. Situated in the heart of the design district this ultra chic spot offers a really creative menu. I particularly enjoyed the artichoke hearts, mushroom veloute, and pear arlette. This dining experience was made above and beyond by the complimentary juice cleansing shot, knowledgeable waiters, beautiful ultra modern interior and great people watching. The music in here was great and wasn't too loud- allowing for good conversation, unlike most Miami spots. Was mildly disappointed with the cocktails- we mentioned this to our server and he happily expunged from our bill. Will DEFINITELY return

Yelp
michelin star le jardinière in the design district. le jardinière, which is french for the gardener, is a culinary experience you wont want to miss out. the miami location is headed by the talented chef christian pasco, and it delivers an experience worth the star it has been awarded.   their cocktail menu is spectacular.  i absolutely loved the mrs bong and the fraise et tomate, i highly recommend both of those.   bite after bite they deliver an extraordinary culinary experience that will make you want to come back for more. everything was out of this world that it is hard to even pick a favorite, as all the dishes we had were exceptional. so just go ahead and order everything on the menu. check out below for everything we had.   i love the attention to detail down to the menu and garnishes for the drinks.   i absolutely love the vibe. this restaurant is perfect for any occasion, and i highly recommend it for a nice date night. what we had: melon gazpacho, heirloom tomato, mint, sourdough croûtons burrata, peach, blackberry, spinach pesto, pistachio, balsamic snapper crudo, tropical sauce, yuzu vinaigrette, avocado mousse, jalapeno royal kaluga caviar seared scallops, corn mousse, spring onions, green tomatillo sauce farro risotto, mushroom duxelle, maitare, bell pepper foam wagyu bavette au jus, potato fondant, asparagus, king trumpet dorade, artichoke, baby leeks, fresno, hazelnut gremolata roasted corn succotash, corn mousse, fresno, parmesan, micro cilantro truffle fries, spicy mayo carrot cake, cream cheese frosting, pandan cotta crème brûlée

Yelp
Was it amazing? Yes Were the portions extra small ? Also Yes Was it worth it? Absolutely Every dish was delicious, from a simple Burrata which they manage to make unique to the most mouth watering Sabayon. We truly enjoyed every bite. The ambience was very intimate and even romantic. Our server was prompt and attentive as you would expect when you visit a high end place. You need to order several courses if your want to be full, for us an appetizer plus two courses and dessert were enough

Yelp
What a lovely lunch on a rainy Thursday! The service was impeccable, the entire staff was super attentive and with a huge smile! Super welcoming. The ambiance was gorgeous! The tables were so meticulously set, the colors they choose for decor really hit miami chic! I'd come back for sure! I hear dinner menu is even better.

Went for their Miami Spice Menu. Michelin Star restaurant, I was very proud to eat here. Melon Gazpacho was emulsified PERFECTLY. And truly the best salmon I have ever had in my life salty crispy skin with smooth and butter like flesh. Perfect. The only issue was I had one waiter lie to me about seating availability (but another waiter corrected her) & I ordered a glass of wine and asked for it twice but the meal came to an end and the waiter never brought it out. It was not very bust either so I am not sure what happened. The food made up for this.

Yelp
What a delight. I came today for a Miami Spice lunch sample, and it did not disappoint. They have a Michelin star and it showed. The three courses I tried were delectable and interesting. The dessert was..... s u b l i m e. I also had the pleasure of having a lovely conversation with the manager there. He was from Turkey. He kindly invited me to view the upstairs (another Michelin starred restaurant between opening hours for a sneak peak) ... It looked stunning, all in red. He told me the ambiance of an evening is wonderful. I sampled the following - Appetiser - salmon Crudo - This was very fresh and served with a really interesting pop of crispy quinoa. Apparently (the bar lady told me) they boil it first and then fry it for the crispness, which really worked. A wonderful pop against the salty and softness of the fish. Reminded me of Mustard seeds, without the mustard flavour) Main - Duck confit pavé, fennel-apple purée and swiss chard. A great dish, all components complimented each other nicely. Dessert - Strawberry cheesecake - This was a work of art, and tasted SUBLIME.... I asked the lovely bartender about the dessert. She informed me that the pastry chef comes in at 4 am every day to make her magical desserts in house. Boy is she talented. I WHOLE HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND.

Yelp
My friends and I came on a Saturday for the Miami Spice lunch. I guess many like us are eager to try a Michelin One Star restaurant for $35 as there was a line as the restaurant opened at noon. Thankfully we specified indoor seating when we made reservation, as even though the patio area is shaded with fans blowing, Miami in August is not great for outdoors dining. Our server is really professional and efficient, providing the great service you expect from a Michelin restaurant. We were presented with only the spice menu, which was what we planned to have anyway. The focaccia bread was a nice starter. All the appetizers were great for the summer heat. The salmon crudo are flavorful little bites. The chilled cucumber-fennel soup was refreshing but a little bland. The tuna nicoise had quite a kick from the wasabi dressing. For entrees, the duck pave was surprisingly delicious. My husband was hesitate about ordering pasta in a French restaurant, but the linguine alle vongole turned out to be the most delicious he has ever had. It was definitely the smallest too. I dare say most kid menus are portioned larger than that. But we kind of expected that already. On the other hand, the lobster roll was very filling, but also a disappointment in taste. The lobster meat was all chopped up and mixed with aioli and other stuff that the flavor was lost. Honestly I had many other lobster rolls that win over this one, with chunks of lobster simply dressed to highlight the fresh, briny flavor. I would have been happier if they gave me a small bite-ful of something more delicious. I enjoyed my cheesecake dessert, the elusive touch of rose made it even more lovely. However, I highly recommend ordering the Espresso Tres Leches. It is definitely not your abuela's tres leches. Light, not too sweet, totally delightful. For parking, the garage Paradise Plaza is a crazy deal at $3 for 4 hours. Don't bother looking for street parking, it will cost more.

Yelp
Came for Miami spice lunch ($35 per person) to Le Jardinier for the first time. Started off with complimentary focaccia which was the classic crispy exterior, light and fluffy interior. Pretty good to start. For appetitizers, I ended up sharing the salmon crudo and the chilled cucumber fennel soup. The salmon crudo was 5 pieces of salmon with bits of fried quinoa on top. To be honest, although there was cucumber vinaigrette, nothing really special about the overall taste. The chilled cucumber-fennel soup on the other hand, although it was also quite small in quantity, it made up in taste. The soup was indeed quite confusing with how they served it: looks more like chilled sauce laying on top of melon. The overall taste and textures packed quite the punch with the savory creme fraiche but sweet juicy melon. For entrees, we got the duck confit and linguine. Never seen a duck confit shaped like a triangle until this one. Flavorful, a litty dry. The linguine was decent, though depending on how you prefer your texture, mine was a bit more softer than al dente. Definitely liked the taste of the coconut broth. Got both the espresso tres leches and the lemon cheesecake for dessert. While the lemon cheesecake was beautiful and had balance of flavors with tart and sweet, the espresso tres leches was definitely my favorite. There were a variety of fun textures with crunchy tuile, soft cake, smooth ice cream. And definitely didn't shy away from taste with the strong espresso. The wait was quite long for all of the dishes, but the staff were quite nice and apologetic. We ended up getting 3 rounds of focaccia bread while we were waiting. Based on the other yelper reviews, I already knew to expect not to be full, but with the extra complimentary focaccia, I got pretty full. While we were there, the service was attentive and good at refilling water. Definitely let it be known though that there is an automatic 20% service charge that is also written on the menu. Parking is available in a garage that was only $3 with the first 3-4 hrs. Overall favorites were the cucumber-fennel soup and espresso tres leches. A decent Miami spice pick for lunch.

Yelp
So because this restaurant has a Michelin Star I had high expectations. First of all service is not attentive at all, we had our reservation at 2:30pm and didn't leave until almost 4:30pm. They close at 3pm and there were only 4 other tables besides us and a good amount of staff but they just walk around doing other things, not sure what exactly, but definitely not taking care of the guest. They do include the 20 percent gratuity so they don't care how you feel cause they are getting theirs regardless. The food was ok, which surprised me because once again "Michelin", so I'm expecting to be blown away. At one point we had to return the Farro because it was undercooked and hard as a rock. It was changed for the quinoa. We also ordered the special for drinks which is $50 for 3 and you can choose from the regular menu. Now the weird thing is that there is no bartender at the bar so I joked that the drinks are probably already mixed in the back and when they came out and all 3 looked the same, I think I was right. The menu makes it seem like they are really cool and intricate but all you get is a block of ice and the alcohol mix. Also the petit croissant that I wanted originally, they told me was not available. Takeaways, I liked the wine we also ordered to try for $10 from the Miami Spice menu, and the foccacia bread, and that is it. The atmosphere is not warm and inviting at all. I think it had potential and hope they get their act together so they can last.

Yelp
Michelin star rated restaurant. What a treat! Of course I came for Miami Spice. So simple and full of flavor. Came during the week, relaxing vibes and not rushed to leave. Our waiter, I believe his name is Henry was pleasant. Restaurant located in the Design District.

Yelp
I went here with friends for a Miami spice lunch. We sat outside which was so cute and had upscale tropical vacation vibes. The inside was also so cool; modern and well decorated (but didn't match outside aesthetic?). The food was amazing with nice presentation. I had the gazpacho which came with the toppings at the bottom then they poured the soup on top. It was light and citrusy but also spicy. My favorite thing of the day (besides bread basket and olive oil which were so fresh). The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Probably the best salmon I've ever had from a restaurant. For dessert I had coconut sorbet which was not on the spice menu but I have a dairy thing so they let me choose a sorbet. It was very creamy and coconutty with chunks of coconut. I didn't love it but my friends did. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the service. For a restaurant which had received Michelin stars you expect the service to be top notch and it was the equivalent to a casual bar and grill type place. The server was not knowledgeable about the menu and didn't ask about any allergies/dietary restrictions. I asked which items do/don't contain dairy and he had to go check which is very nice but at other high quality restaurants they know that off the top of their heads. Then when they gave me my food they said "gluten free" in which I had to clarify it was dairy free. They also forgot our bread basket until we asked- after getting our appetizers. Lastly, the service was slow but I kind of enjoyed it as lots of places rush you (though probably why we had to wait 30 min past when our reservation was to sit down as tables were still sitting/eating). Nonetheless everyone was very nice and the food I had was fab so would definitely return.

Yelp
Wow! We went here for Valentine's Day and had a great time. The decor has got a funky mid century mod kind of vibe, especially by the bar. Very cool place for a date night. The prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day was awesome--I started with a delicious fluje crudo, followed by veal papardelle, and then a very tasty sea bass. We were almost full by dessert but we made it through the cheesecake! During dinner, we had a glass of champagne and our waiter was nice enough to even comp us a second! Cocktail menu was very interesting and I had a hard time picking. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
IYKYK! Le Jardinier is frequently overlooked due to its low key vibe and location, but it's probably one of the best restaurants in Miami based on quality and consistency. It is pricey for sure, but it's worth every penny! The best Salmon I've ever had in my love was here, and also the best soups. I have never had a meal here that I didn't enjoy, and I always try something new here that was end up loving. If your dining with a group, I definitely recommend the pre fixe option so everyone can try and share as much as possible. Go here at least once - you won't regret it!

Yelp
In my opinion, this restaurant is a little overrated. We arrived on time for our reservation and the table was not ready. We sat at the bar, which took forever to get drinks... out of 4 people, I was the only one who received his drink before our table was ready. (Like 18 min) After being seated, service for the food improved greatly if you don't take in consideration a few dirty glasses before they poured water. (The table was set with very dirty glasses.) I'm noticing all of this because we are supposed to be at a Michelin star rated restaurant, but right from the start is not what I expected. The food was good overall. Things that stood out from what we ordered: - Burrata - beet Salad - tuna tartare - tofu -wagyu The iberico pork was just okay.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon for Miami Spice menu lunch with some friends. We tried the chicken, salmon, and squid ink pasta as entrees. We all agreed the salmon was hands down the best. We enjoyed all the dessert offers, just delicious. Now for the cons, service was not what I expected, one drink order was forgotten and we had to ask for more water a few times. We decided to split the check evenly but they erroneous charged one of us twice & its been difficult to reach anyone there to fix this. Lastly, one server was downright rude because one of us reached out to grab the plate of food. Overall, the food was good but I did not feel it was worth the price and the service left much to be desired.

Yelp
This place brags about their Michelin Stars. They're right there when you walk in on full display. And if you've ever eaten at a Michelin Starred restaurant in the US (i.e. Le Bernadin, French Laundry, Per Se), standby for a major let down. There was a time when being awarded a star meant something. Its possible Im missing something, but the menu consisted of 3 apps, 3 entrees and 3 dessert options and thats it. And one of the apps, they were sold out of by 8:00 PM. Nothing on the menu was beyond basic: tuna carpaccio, beef tartar, scallops. My entree was a small piece of halibut over a puree of fava beans for $50. My wife's was a "brevette" cut of beef, which is basically a fancy cut flank steak that was served sliced almost identical to any beef fajitas you've ever ordered at a tex mex restaurant. Even the 3 little piece of bread were tough and flavorless. It's possible this whole Miami Spice event had everything off, but from what we had, there is no way on earth they could ever be awarded a Michelin Star. Zero creativity. Note: the staff was very attentive, very respectful and very helpful. 5 stars for them and the ambience of the restaurant.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 So today marks my first Michelin restaurant experience and it was something truly special. The atmosphere is lovely!! It feels like your dining in an art gallery. The music is amazing here and played at the right volume and you just know your in for a treat when you sit down. Food - It's another level honestly , you can season things to taste great but to achieve the textures while allowing the ingredients to stand out is an art form. Everything I had was delicious but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the ora king salmon. It's crispy, juicy and just about as perfect as a salmon could be. The desserts were incredible , the carrot cake has a white chocolate shell and comes with a coconut sorbet, absolutely phenomenal and the best carrot cake I've had to date. The chocolate dessert is a caramel foam with what seems to be brownie bits that taste something like cocoa crisps, the dessert is meant to be eaten in layers and it is divine. An absolute must for chocolate lovers The service here is something I've never experienced before. The servers wipe your table down as soon as you finish a course. They are incredibly attentive and professional here. The experience feels so classy and I love it. The chef also came out to our table to give us more insight on the dishes and he just exuded good vibes, so thank you chef max you made this a special experience. You gotta come here it's fairly priced and you will leave feeling like royalty
