7 Best Charleston Sushi Restaurants | Eater Carolinas

"In 2021, the team from always-packed oyster outlet 167 Raw turned their attention to even more seafood with the opening of 167 Sushi Bar. The sliver of a restaurant, which is 50 percent chef’s counter, offers a menu of the classic choices of nigiri, sashimi, and hand rolls. The eatery also offers izakaya options like a katsu sando and yakatori." - Erin Perkins

First Look at the 167 Raw Sushi Bar in Charleston | Eater Carolinas

"At the original 167 Raw location at 289 East Bay Street, I found 167 Raw Sushi Bar, a new, compact 24-seat sushi spot opened by the team behind the always-packed 167 Raw after that restaurant moved to a larger space at 193 King Street. The menu leans on classic nigiri, sashimi, and hand rolls while also offering izakaya-style items like a katsu sando and yakitori, plus a number of ever-rotating options (the full menu is shared at the end of the post). The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday beginning at 4:00 p.m., does not take reservations (first come, first serve), so seating fills up fast, and the updated interiors feature fun new art and sushi-themed touches throughout the bar." - Erin Perkins
