We went to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place itself is nice, but it had some details I didn't love. First, the good points: the room they gave us was completely soundproof, and there was plenty of space for all ten of us. The downsides were that the mixed drinks we ordered were all flavorless; I recommend sticking to beer. Although there was a private restroom, it didn't have any toilet paper or hand towels. We asked the waitress if she could turn down the heating because it was too hot, but she only lowered it by one degree, so one of my friends ended up standing by the bathroom door to avoid sweating so much. The french fries were delicious, though. If you're going for the karaoke atmosphere, it's great; it gets really fun.

Went here for a group karaoke of about 12 or so. The do offer different sized rooms based on party. Very simple setup nothing complicated… a tv, good quality speakers, two mics, and a keyboard to search up your music on youtube. I like how they have a service button you hit for assistance that way they don’t have to nag or interrupt you. Service was decently fast for a busy night. Usual seafood boil prices and nice selection of meats including crawfish. The spicy boil was amazing! The shrimp could have been cooked more because it was firm. You get 3 hours for the room and it was plenty of time for us. Definitely recommend.

I booked for a large room and it was great the price I paid 75 dollars to hold it and the remaining balance of 111.00 dollars upon arrival, my food was 48 dollars it was a decent price.We had 15 people and it was great we all payed individually. My only issue it that the next day I was charged 2 with incorrect amounts. I called and spoke to a manager Angela and she acted as if she had no clue what I was talking about and making me seem like I was lying. I mean thank god I keep my receipts because soon as I mentioned that it was magically corrected. All I can say is keep your receipts and check yall bank accounts

The seafood boil is so delicious! We come here everytime we are craving seafood boil with my wife and I and family. The seafood is fresh and the atmosphere is very friendly! The staff is also very attentive towards its customers. Definitely come check it out and do Karaoke at the same time for a fun experience and delicious one!

Got invited to this place and it was bomb! The food was on point and the service was great. Lou was cool as ever. We sang our hearts out and eat until we were stuffed. We had the private room and we enjoyed every second. You have to try this with a group of your favorite people. I had such a blast I forgot to take a picture of my food.

Good flavor. Alcohol beverage was weak. God was hot and good. I got boils for my kids and myself. Drinks are canned beverages. Enjoyed the karaoke as well. Went for a preteens bday party.

Our food was hot and came out quickly, and our drinks came out fast as well. I love that you have a restroom in the actual room. It's convenient. I will definitely go back

BIRTHDAY dinner was actually great, quiet private rooms. Seems spacious for four. I appreciated that they had everything, love the gloves, sanitizer, napkins, carry-out containers..I never did visit the restroom. The walls and chairs needed to be sanitized ( not sure if they are that meticulous)

I visited this place with family as my older cousin turning the BIG 50. I would like to say this place is nice and love the small party rooms for guest to enjoy privately. Karaoke was easy and fun and the food was good as well. However, the catfish po boy I had the baguette was not as soft but fries and shrimp Fried rice good as well. The service was good and attentive. Drinks I had 2 strawberry lemon drops which were awesome and I loved it.

This place is a hidden gem! I've been here before for karaoke on my birthday but came by to place a to-go order. Service: Quick and considerate. Nothing too fancy or over the top but they are always helpful. Ambiance: the place has a seafood/ boat vibes. Nothing fancy. Nothing to write home about but serves the purpose and is clean. Food: I'm from the east coast and am used to seafood boils. The seafood here is never overcooked and the flavors re bomb! It's cravable and priced well for what you get. Must try.

Sigh..... This place was super hyped up and it completely fell flat. My first and probably last visit. There are just too many boil options around now. i was not here for karaoke just a meal. You walk in and there is no host. A person from behind the bar asked if we were there for a party (we were not) ok take a menu and go sit where ever. hmm ok.. Waitress comes over doesn't give her name but takes a drink order..by the time she's back with drinks we place an order. So have a mini boil bag with one cluster of crab and 1/2 pound of shrimp. It comes with 3 potato's and 2 small pieces of corn and you can't sub those out. You can add additional items at a cost. Mine was spicy and all the flavors mixed. Food is brought out warm but not hot.. After eating about three shrimp this unnamed waitress comes back with our bill.. She comes back three times pressing to pay this bill. We are trying to eat our food. I will pay the bill once we are done.. it was borderline unprofessional and damn rude. Never asking if there is anything else we need just "are you ready for me to take the bill". Our hands are covered in peeling shrimp and crab, NO we are not ready to dig in our purses to pay a bill. I finally look at the bill and 18% gratuity is added in. This should be disclosed up front especially if your not part of a party (it was just 2 of us) The mandatory gratuity is hindering good service. It shows in the service we received.. we were made to feel like a hurry up and pay situation and that will never be acceptable. For the price paid i can and have gotten better else where. If your not coming for karaoke, bypass this place

Awful!! Over priced!! Disgusting!!! First of all, how and why would one cluster of snow crab legs cost $20??? I despise when businesses come into predominately black neighborhoods and overcharge to their benefit without the decency of offering a quality product!! My family and I just attempted to dine in this restaurant and it was the biggest mistake of our trip. I hope the drinks and private karaoke rooms offer a better deal than the food! It was truly awful!! We ordered the Cajun fried rice which was filled with green pepper, red onion and shrimp which lacked a pinch of seasoning. They were the blandest shrimp I've ever tried to consume. It's as if they were taken directly out of the package, warmed up and placed on top of a bed of rice. The catfish po boy which was filled with a very small amount of their catfish bites in between the thickest bread I've seen for a sandwich and Cajun fries. I asked for salt and pepper and the waitress brought me a shot glass with salt poured in it. Are you kidding me??? Our waitress was kind and apologized that our service experience wasn't enjoyable. Oh, how can I forget the audacity to have a 18% service charge on already overpriced food is overkill!!

So cute in here! I love that the rooms come with your own rest room and that they also tally up your items individualized under your name making the settling of the bill very easy. Karoke is a breeze here and you can literally pick any song that pops in your head courtesy of YouTube. I ordered a strawberry lemon drop which to me seemed mainly comprised of sour mix and strawberry flavoring, I'm still wondering if it had the Tito's in it that I subbed out for absolut :/ . For food I ordered the mango habanero wings and Cajun fried rice, note: they only offer bottled water . The wings were HUGE, delicious and full of flavor and the Cajun rice was amazing, so garlicky and spicy and the portions were also humungous . My only complaint was that it got overbearingly hot in the room when the door was closed, and of course the door was closed at all times cuz we were karokeing! They had a ceiling fan but it was barely helping. Other than that I had so much fun and can't wait to go again.

The karaoke room that i was in was a decent size. I came here for a birthday party. I was happy they had a non sea food selection. Unfortunately, what I ordered was disappointing. I ordered wings and fried pickles. The pickles were the only thing that I ate. The wings are huge and very hard. I'm not sure if they were hard because the were fried hard or old and recooked. You can't send anything back so that was a waste of money. I still informed the server he said "oh I'll let the cook know". You also have to pay for water.

This is the best Karaoke spot staff is ten out of ten we are back every weekend. No wait. Lights were fun and best birthday plans

Looks like a hole in the wall, but the decor is all in the karaoke rooms... i was invited to a 28 ppl room...It was nice.. The waitress was punctual and able handle everyone request... 1/15/23 short black woman, don't her name but the Crab read this just know she was professional and patient I one order shrimp tempura, it was good, my only let down was they didn't have any yum yum sauce

After hearing much talk of this place, finally made it in for a birthday celebration. We had a private room that allowed for up to 18 guests. There's a giant flatscreen that allows you to access songs and lyrics. Soon we had the tunes blaring out of the speakers. The addition of the lighting effects in the room put the party in full swing. The drawback was only having one server for the amount of people in our party. Seems they would have two servers at a minimum. The food offering although mainly seafood also has wings, fried rice and a variety of appetizers. The location features a full bar with a bevy of cocktail options, beer, and wine. Soft drinks and juices are available as well. I ordered the Zombie cocktail and a seafood boil featuring king crab, lobster tail. and shrimp. I had all sauces available mixed as I couldn't settle on just one. The boil comes with corn and potatoes. I kept the spice level mild and added sausage and hard-boiled eggs. The libations were flowing and made for a great night belting out songs with family and friends.

This is my 3rd time here. First one was great. I booked the biggest party room for my family on my grandma birthday. Second time i was a guest at a teen birthday. Big room also. This time yesterday was my friends 30th birthday. A more intimate size room. It's clean, nice sound system. Unfortunately you can't bluetooth or connect your phone to the tv or wifi. The karaoke w/ thru youtube... Anyway, The drinks came out fast. They changed the menu tho. Very Little non seafood options. I'm allergic so that matters to me. I came to support my friend, to drink and sing. Well I wanted the pasta && once i saw it wasn't offered anymore then I ordered the cajun tenders & fries. Over 40 mins passed and my friend buzzed the waitress. This waiter str8 up, told us that she never put my food order in. I was annoyed and beyond hungry. I had 1 drink before that && it was a strawberry lemon drop. I thought it had little to no liquor in it. It didn't come in a martini glass but it snuck up on me lol. So i reordered my food and overall waited too long. It was only 3 tenders and they weren't cajun. The fries were seasoned with cajun. why call it cajun tenders n fries? I would've been ok, if i felt like the waitress cared but she didn't care. She didn't even check on us. We had to keep hitting the button to request drinks n food last-night. && for some reason she'll leave the private room but w/o closing the door. I wasn't happy about her service. && she said we had to be on 1 check. In my past experiences they were always separated if asked. She lucky that 18% gratuity was included because she likely would've only gotten like 10% from me for being nonchalant. The room was 9pm-midnight. And as soon as 12am struck she came in saying "y'all know, you only have the room until 12 right?". Like she was rushing us out.

What a disgusting place. I was super excited to check it out since I was told they had open-mic karaoke alongside having the private rooms but I was totally wrong. We walked in at 9:50pm to just check the place out and immediately they were not very friendly and were more interested in hanging out together and being on their phones. Not a good impression especially with how expensive they are. On top of that, she told us that since it was 9:50pm, apparently 9:50 is the same time as 10 which is when they DOUBLE the karaoke room rates to an exorbitant price. Not sure who taught them about time but 9:50 is not the same time at 10. That was extremely annoying. We were able to get a quick walk through your and to say I was unimpressed would be an understatement. It felt like a dirty old stripclub with each room feeling like many lap dances had been given. It felt dirty and dingy and I would not want to sit on those seats. On top of that it's a bit trashy and unsanitary how they have the ice buckets with a PLASTIC GROCERY BAG WITH ICE inside the bucket. Totally gross and pretty sure that is not allowed by local health. Anyways, because of these reasons and opinions I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go to your local dive bar if you have one because this place is just not it.

My Family and Friends gave me a surprise birthday party here. We had a private karaoke room where I commence to make a complete fool of myself. Singing and drinking the night away. As far as the food goes, I believe it was good. Everyone had crab legs and chicken wings everywhere but I didn't get a chance to eat because I was busy making a fool of myself. Hence what I can tell you about... the drinks! Those cocktails were off the chain! They do not skimp on the liquor at all. I really enjoyed this place and plan to make many return visits.

Awesome seafood boil!! The club is next door so they come through the restaurant to use the bathroom and to order drinks from the bar that's on the restaurant side, so if you come with children, sit by the entrance in a booth. The music is loud and the bathrooms disgusting on those nights, so choose carefully when you go! The drinks were strong and delicious and service was excellent, although we were one of 2 tables dining in. They had lots of carryouts that kept the bartender very busy. We ordered the seafood boil for 2 with all the seasonings- we couldn't pick just 1! Butter, garlic, and Cajun! We added green mussels, extra lemon, extra eggs and corn! We were stuffed and had leftovers. Delicious and the hubby loved his first real boil! I think I will be making it at home from now on though... I can purchase all this from Costco fresher not frozen and cheaper, and better quality/bigger seafood, and better tasting to my liking! It was a fun night though and we had a good time!

0 star review is what they really deserve it was my birthday celebration. I went on April 11, 2023 4pm was our booked time, they opened the doors at 4pm I walked in with my group and 2 other ladies that were dining in. I was so excited until the man at the counter started giving us a hard time. He told us after we said we booked for a hour we paid on line for a hour. He told us it was a 3 hour limit we told him we don't need 3 hours we have tickets to a show. Where does it say 3 hours its not on the site. He said he didn't care and if we wanted to go into the room we would have to pay for 3 hours because there are no refunds. I ask the man for a manager he said he was the manager. I ask him what was his name he told us it was Lu. I told him it was my birthday and my daughter paid online for a hour since no one was here can we just go in the room for an hour. He said no and he say he did not care. I told him Lu this is a business you should care I'm going to tell people about the false advertising the site do not state anything about a three hour minimum. He repeated he don't care and we're not getting a refund I told him I don't want a refund we're not tried to get over on you we just want to go in the room for an hour. I asked him can you accommodate us in any way he says no unless you pay the full three hours you cannot go in the room and he's not going to refund any money. I told him I didn't want a refund I just want to go in for what we paid online he said no he don't care he kept repeating and we kept trying to get him to understand. Lu said his boss said people can't afford to pay so they change the policy two weeks ago and made it where they pay 40% on line and then when they get there they pay the remaining 60%. I told him that we can afford to pay, that made me feel offended we have somewhere else to be after we just need an hour. We kept trying to express to him and explain that the site doesn't say three hours. Why should we have to pay for three hours? If the site doesn't tell us that it's a three hour minimum why do we get there and they say you have to pay the remaining amount when the site mentions nothing about three hours being the minimum. He said the policy was changed two weeks ago. I told him that's probably when the three hour minimum was left off if it was ever on there. I don't know because I've never been there before. It was my first time, were only coming because it was my birthday, and we had an hour before we had to be at our appointment and he just said again I don't care. I told him I was gonna tell people what was going on what he was doing by making people pay more refusing to let us in. He said I don't care who you tell so we stood there about a half an hour trying to convince him but nothing worked. Lu was not willing to help us out by letting us go in and he just kept saying no, he's not letting us go in unless we pay for 3 hours. I felt offended by him implying if people can't afford it you know why would he imply that I can't afford it I wouldn't have come there if I couldn't afford it we paid online for the time we needed. I felt disrespected by Lu customer service presented to us was the worst I have ever seen in my entire 53 years of my life. I just wonder why on that day we wasn't allowed to go in. Lu wasn't willing to help in anyway he wasn't willing to understand our side he wasn't willing to refund our money we just had to leave. This experience was very disappointing to me and my family. I felt that I wasn't treated like a human being and I was helpless, and the excitement, I had changed once I went through the door and was meet the manager Lu. I'm still sad about the whole thing and I'm going to tell everybody about my experience and make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Google review, yelp, trust pilot, consumer affairs review, and anyone else I can tell I put a Facebook post on Instagram, expressing how I was treated and I tried to express that to him and he said again he don't care and I said the owner should know that this is how you conduct business on their behalf. I can not believe Lu was so comfortable and not wanting to accommodate us in anyway he like it's no way if you want to go in the room you pay 60% I'm out done. There was no one to understand what we was trying to explain to Lu or expressed to him. He didn't have any reasoning he wasn't going to accommodate us. I just think, whatever happened to the customer is always right? if the site said a three hour, we would have paid for three hours, but the site didn't say that when we booked we should not have found out about the 3 hours when we got there by going to the counter. I don't understand why Lu did not accommodate us or give us our money back, but I would never be returning they kept our money but will never get any more money from me or my family. Im going to tell everybody I know about the hidden policies that they are forcing on people.

Had a good time the food was good and the service was good and fast for it to be a party of 30 will return. One thing that was strange they check your bags at the door so don't come starting trouble.

met some family members at this establishment and fortunately read the reviews right before going. As soon as I walked in it was a Terrible smell. I couldn't bring myself to eat more than a fry. Someone in our party ordered a seafood boil and was not happy. She said it didn't taste good, many things were over cooked or tasted wrong. I did not taste it, but I tasted ONE fry that was unusually underwhelming. I would never go back for the food. The non-alcoholic drink I had, a Mango Smoothie was very tasty. I heard no one complain about the drinks or the service. The room we rented was a Karaoke Room and it was very nice. Unfortunately, old and recent reviews talk about food poisoning and although I did not eat enough to get sick, the smell reminded me of old spoiled fish mixed with new fish. It was definitely something wrong

This is a very unique spot, goes well with the 168 Asia Mart around the corner, Fuji buffet and the new Lao Pot across the side street. This is becoming a small China town. The main entrance has seating and several seats for dining and the like outside of the karaoke rooms. Went here to meet some friends last week. Plans are in place to serve Filipino food during the week through Thursday and the karaoke Friday through Sunday. There are many rooms here, some fits a small group to large parties. The larger rooms have their own bathrooms. The rooms look lux with their burgundy pleather backed seats with plastic rhinestone encrusted buttons. There are large screens in every room. I can't wait for the Filipino food offerings starting on January 6th. Food looks amazing. We had eaten at Lao Pot beforehand but the food at the other tables looked amazing. We did enjoy a Halo Halo desert. It's filled with crushed ice doused in coconut milk, lots of jellied flavored goodness and red beans. It's not too sweet either. Come and check out 168 KTV bistro and show off your talent and get your yummy Filipino food on starting after January 6th. The pansit bihon, grilled meats with rice and the adobo are always good items to get introduced to Filipino food.

Karaoke?? Yes please!! This sf my kind fun. You take drinking and singing and put them together. I am so there! We were invited to attend a friends birthday party here. A dimly lit private room with disco lights and a wrap around giant custom sectional couch. Glowy tables and a keyboard to pass around. There is a way to connect to the wifi and control the videos via my phone, but it was somewhat complicated for us. Maybe it was the booze or maybe it just wasnt connecting right. Who knows. Service was dope, press the button then a few moments later a waiter appears. Tell them what you want or what your need and they'll fetch it for you in two shakes of a lambs tail. I think I was nursing a bottle of knob creek that night. Anyways, I had a great time here. Drinks were on point. Food was rather lackluster, but who cares! At closing time, I was boozed up and singing anything and everything that came out of that giant screen. I think we even sang the Little Mermaid song (Part of that World.) Would love to come back. The service was SUBPAR and the staff was visibly disorganized, but the experience was fun! I would go back with a group of friends again. I only ordered some honey BBQ wings, so I would try the seafood boil bags the next round. The karaoke set up is the highlight of the venue--your own private room with your friends to turn up!

Food is good and reasonably priced. Service was quick. The only thing that I don't necessarily agree with is that the tip is included on the bill and they don't verbally tell you that (there's usually only 3 of us). We've been there several times and only noticed the tip inclusion on our last visit. So we have been "double tipping". Other than that, food is good. There is a security checkpoint at the front door, so be prepared for that. The main restroom isn't very clean and there's only 1 toilet. There are several separate rooms that hosts party's and they do karaoke, it can get a little loud, but it didn't bother us. Overall, I like this place and will continue to visit

We had a private room for my friends birthday. It was a decent place. The private room had a TV for karaoke and a restroom. You also could control the lights. The service was rather slow but the food was decent. The drinks had me liberated so no complaints there. Overall, I think it's a nice chill spot for food and drinks.

I went this past Saturday for a Birthday/engagement party. The experience was nice, but their food gave me the worst food poisoning of my life. Other people from the party became ill as well. The food is deadly. Do not eat at this establishment.

Mediocre food. Weak drinks. Poor service. Private restrooms are a plus if they were adequately stocked. No cutlery only plastic.

I wanted to do something different besides dinner/bar/club for my birthday and this was it! Karaoke night at KTV Bistro was a hit with my friends and family! I was nervous at first that there would be a limited selection but they hook you up to YouTube so you have an endless supply of karaoke songs. The neon lights added to the experience. They have 2 options for the room (depending on the size) but a room for 18 people was $60 something or $112 including food and drinks. The bottles are $100 a piece so you buy 1 or 2 of those and you're all set. Or you can do cocktails for $10-$15. The food that counts for the room is finger food so don't come especially hungry - the appetizers are about $10/piece (a little pricey for a basket of French fries and a few chicken wings) but at the end of the day a nice touch. All in all loved the place, excellent service, ample parking, endless song selection, price of the room is basically a bottle an hour ... And they can split the bill among guests which is perfect! I'll definitely be back! Thanks again KTV!

Saw a review for this spot and decided to go with a friend who loves ramen, noodles, and all Asian food. The location is at the tail end of a strip mall. We went early and there weren't a lot of cars there- wasn't sure that it would be open. It was - and we went inside. Not many people were there- but the waiter quickly approached and asked for our order. We ordered some beer and then perused the picture laden menu. Wide variety of items and not many I was familiar with. When the waiter came back he said there was an "all day happy hour" and we'd receive discounts on our drinks. He recommended some of the noodle/soups in the back and also a spicy fish dish- which he mentioned was large enough for two. We ordered that and some shrimp tempura. While we waited we saw a group of girls come in and disappear down the back hall. There are side rooms throughout the entire restaurants with big black doors and numbers above for karaoke. Music and distant singing (?) could be heard later. A few other people came through for take out. Our food began to arrive- in odd order- first the fish dish, then the tempura, and finally the rice. The fish was fried and covered in sauce with lots of spicy peppers all over. Boo choy and ginger, scallions and other items comprised the delicious sauce. Oddly, the tempura came with ketchup. The waiter said "it adds sweetness." He added if we wanted tempura sauce the next time to just ask for it. We actually used the sauce from the fish to dip the tempura into. The shrimp were heavily battered and reminiscent of battered cheese... not my favorite version of this dish- usually the batter is lighter and flakier. The fish was delicious- little difficult to eat trying to not chomp into bones. We filled up on the dishes and still had fish left over between the two of us. A gentleman who I guess worked there said something about must be odd eating the different food (?!!), to which we replied that we enjoyed this kind of food. It's clean and the waiter was friendly. The food came out in an odd order though and thought the last comment was a bit odd. May be fun to check out the karaoke sometime- and other food items.

The venue is very fun and rooms are nice! The room we reserved had no air conditioning it was so hot and uncomfortable the food is just okay half the things on the menu they don't have. I would go back for the rooms but not order food.

All dishes basically taste the same, full of smelly oil and you can't really tell the difference. Lots of stuff in the dishes to make the look full, but that you can't really eat. Would not come back for the food here, not authentic, and definitely over priced. Manager was too aggressive and not very caring by asking non related questions in loud voice, kinda frightening and intimidating. The servers, on the contrast, were nice, even though they all looked careful and maybe a bit scared by the manager. A loud environment for dinning, since there are people singing or loud music played in the hall.

Friendly owners. Been coming here since it opened-- a bit on the expensive side compared to California but the only one like it around this area. It's four stars because the music system is not really user friendly, it's basically in simplified Chinese and the way the songs are sorted does not give lots of options. For example: if you go under artists, it divides it in china male/female, Hong Kong male/female, and "others" male/female which will include English and Japanese. Yikes... confusion to find the songs. One of the owner really enjoys mixology, try his drinks!

First time here. The seafood I over price. I didn't see yo getting your money worth. You can cook this at home for half the price

I booked a room for VIP karaoke and dinner for my birthday party - I reserved a month in advanced and even called to confirm reservations a couple times in between the actual event. I arrived to 168 about twenty minutes before the party started and the lady at the host stand was confused and couldn't find my reservation for a good 5 minutes or so. This should have been a red flag as they were NOT prepared for my party of 24 that was about to come in. The food came in at sporadic time throughout the night and it was definitely not enough food to fill us up -- not even half full! It's very disappointing as the room and food was over $640 (with gratuity). Most of the food that was served was seafood - not a bad thing, but you had to eat with your hands and it's hard to do that while worrying about not getting the microphone dirty. The food was also super spicy so of course you would want water to go with it. To my surprise, they did not give our pitcher of water but instead $3 a bottle of water. Are you kidding? 16 bottles of regular sized plastic bottle ended up being $50??? Do you know how many cases of water I could have bought with that? The music selection for karaoke was also not up to date as my friends and I could not find many of the songs we wanted to sing. 2 out of the 3 microphones were not working and it took awhile for them to change to a new one. I am extremely baffled with how much I paid for a chaotic night. I was also told the VIP room could hold up to 24 people -- that is completely wrong. I had 24 people and there was not enough seating.. let alone food. This was NOT worth the price! I came here to 168 when they first opened but I now see they are on a rapid downfall.. it's too bad since there are not a lot of ktv areas around the area. Just to clarify...the karaoke is a private event experience. The crab is regular dine in service with no karaoke. However, the food is amazing! If been to other crab places and the sauce doesn't compare to this places I was pleasantly surprised.

I had no Idea what I was going to walk into and I was greatly surprised. The food was amazing I had the (headless shrimp and crab broil with sausage and all the flavors mixed), the music was great and karaoke appeared fun (didn't read thsyvyou needed reservations in advance to do karaoke online).

Took them half an hour to set up the KTV room, and 69$ in total for an hour! (After non voluntary tip and 2 bottle of water) My husband said this place is absurd. I'd say they are very chinese in terms of all the tricks and scams, and very Americanize in terms of pricy! Very complicated price option, and you all have to share good reviews on social media to get a discount, even only two of us, I agreed to share but my husband refuse to share, they wouldn't give us the discount, which might be a good thing bc I don't want lie to my friends this place is great. It says no food or drinks allowed, so we can't even bring water, have to buy from them with 2.99$ per bottle. After finally set up the room, the volume was too low, and we can't adjust it at all bc it will cause huge noise on the microphone. So I asked for changing room, and I heard the waitress said " they still want to switch room?"........ bc that room won't work! There are very limited songs for both Chinese and English, when we go check, the waitress asked me how it went. I told her that, and then she told me they can connect to YouTube so we can get more songs too, well thank you for telling me after I'm done! That's very helpful! The 15% tip was automatically charged without even asking us(later on I found a tiny line of writing in the complicated price menu), for the use the ktv room. What did you served us other than spent half hour fixing your equipment and wasting our time? Which you should get it done in the first place. Tbh it's not even fun anymore after waiting for so long. Anyway, I wouldn't go back.

HORRIBLE RUDE SERVICE First I waited (and was second in line) for 12 minutes to request my carry out I had order 53 minutes prior but was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. When I finally told the man I was waiting on my carry out (nobody ever asked how they could help me) he told me I had to wait longer because they don't start your online order until your come in and pay even though that's NOT what they said when I called or did in the past. So as I was telling the rude Chinese/Asian man that he leans over to a black girl and asked her what I was saying because he couldn't understand me like she wasn't black and speaking my same language. So I paid for my food which was $94 and some change. I put my change in my pocket and stepped back not even 3 feet from the counter so the next person could go. When I stepped back I realized I didn't tip the man and took my money back out my pocket when I did that I noticed he shorted me a dollar in my change but it's ok I don't need it I was adding it to his top. Once I told him that he instantly went off very rude (I should've knocked him in the head with a bottle). He asked was I saying he kept my money? I said absolutely that's what I'm saying but I am saying it was your tip I was adding it to. He kept going off saying I don't need your money I don't want your money. I kept trying to tell him he is miss understanding he kept going off so I walked away and waited on my food. The waitress on the side of him knew he was wrong because she kept shaking her head. He then waited one minute and says to her really loud it's so fun arguing with these females. I told him it's fun until he runs into the right one, because security or not next time won't go smooth for him AT ALL! Oh and I got home and I missing food out my bag.

I would strongly recommend eating BEFORE going... the food is subpar and if your food is overcooked,nasty, etc. they make you pay for half of it and they don't allow that money to go towards anything else for exchange. And to make matters worse they will try to add tax and gratuity to that as well so you end up paying full price for something you did not eat. Ripping folks off for years (iykyk). I'd say go for karaoke & drinks or maybe wings/tenders and fries... but if you like seafood boils, this place is not it. Multiple ppl did not like their food. The fried rice was dry and seemed overcooked, although I could taste the Cajun spice it was bland overall. Hardly any veggies just a few shrimp, fried eggs, and that overcooked rice. Waste of money. And looking in the kitchen and how busy they are, I legit don't trust that they are being sanitary either (from what I observed). It's really busy there. So be careful with that as well. Other than the food, it's something to do (although you could pretty much do the same thing at home or another space for less money since it's just a huge smart tv, microphone, and YOUTUBE).

Decided to try this out because we wanted to do something different for a birthday party. The place looked small upon entering but the rooms are spacious. The staff is amazing. I brought a tough crowd and we were pretty sloppy, sorry . You get service at a ding of a button, which was pretty cool. The price is reasonable, if you order enough food and drinks, the room is technically free. I racked up about $400 on my tab over the course of 4 hours (that's including 15% gratuity). We initially only agreed to stay for two hours, next thing you know, it was 3am! I liked that it we were allowed to bring our own cake (it was a surprise party and I was allowed to have it stored hours prior to arrival). The only downside was the late night menu, I'm pretty sure the food would've been better if we went out earlier. Overall, it was a great place though!

Lots of songs. Selections are wild from 60s to very recent. The staff were very helpful. We met a few issues: lights were too flashy, music too loud etc. He helped with those issues, very quickly. In room kitchen service is a plus. They can serve burger, fries, even kebabs in KTV rooms.

OK, so let me say this about KTV before I get started with this review: It might not be for everyone. However, for me, this place is an absolute gem and I cannot recommend it enough. 168 KTV Bistro is definitely geared towards Karaoke and the local Chinese community. It has a very good menu that is not what I consider to be "westernized" food. It has a very authentic feel, at least to me. I am certainly not the right person to rate the food here in terms of how authentic it is to its origins. However I can say, without hesitation, that every meal I have had at KTV has been GREAT! The Spicy Lobster, while not for the faint of heart, is absolutely awesome. Also worth particular note is their fried rice. Again spicy but very fresh and super solid. I would urge anyone with an adventurous appetite to grab a meal here. I am really trying hard to think through how to best convey the experience overall at 168 KTV Bistro and I am really struggling. Its almost like an odd Las Vegas night out in a strip mall in Madison Heights. I know that doesn't sound particularly appealing but it really is. Here is a good way to explain it: When you walk out into the night and jump into your Uber (trust me, it is best this way) after a solid night of awesome drinks, food, and singing your ass off at KTV, you will experience a sense of disorientation and I am not talking about the usual problems associated with overindulging. It is almost like walking out of a strange wonderful land and being slapped with reality. I don't know if that is the right way to explain the sensation but it's the best I've got. I have been to KTV three times and all three ended this way. It might be the lighting or the deafening world class sound systems available in the private (yep you don't need to make an ass out of yourself in front of anyone but your friends, just grab a room for a couple of hours) but it definitely creates an immersive experience. I have one small nitpick: The software for the Karaoke systems is difficult to use. Some of this stems from the native Chinese the system is written in but the staff is helpful in making it user friendly for English. It just would seem to me that KTV would be better served to engage a system that was a bit more Americanized. Plus, the hardware is all clearly state of the art so it is a shame not to have software that keeps up with it. It isn't a huge issue but it would make sense to me to make a restaurant specializing in Karaoke as user friendly as possible to folks that can only speak English. Again, the staff gets high marks in assisting but I could see how it might be a minor frustration for some. If you are looking for something that is WAY different from your normal night out and enjoy Karaoke, I really strongly endorse this place. 168 KTV Bistro is on to something that is unique to the area and a whole lot of fun. We came when they had their soft opening, and were really impressed with the decor and the size of the rooms. They're just like the karaoke rooms in the big city, and overseas! The way these rooms work are usually there is a price per hour for the room, and any drinks ordered up to that price are covered under the room. For example, our room was $80 an hour and we ordered drinks up to $70 dollars and we didn't have to pay for the drinks, just the room fee. We got a free plate of meat skewers and fruit, I think because it was their soft opening and they wanted us to come back. The song offerings seemed a little lacking though; lots of Chinese songs but didn't quite have all the popular English songs yet. Once again, we went when it was their soft opening so this may have improved.

I haven't written a review in a long time, but this place inspired me. After reading the review in the freep, I put this on my list to try. First thing that strikes you is the neon water wall windows on the facade. It reminds me of something you would see in Hong Kong or Tokyo. Walking in, its clear the buildout was very expensive. The karaoke rooms are totally different than North American rooms, which are typically a rack of outdated tech on on square tube tv. Prices to rent rooms are very reasonable. Food: Wow. We had the Pea Tips, Cumin Beef, and Szechuan Shrimp. Shareable sized portions of the freshest ingredients available in the area. The shrimp were whole live shrimp and were killer. Nothing ever frozen. I regret not ordering the Grilled Fish, which looked delicious. Above all, the food was not laden in artificial BS and salt, which keeps my wife and I away from most Asian restaurants in the US. None of the MSG effects after dining. We will be back!

A new ktv in michigan! Im overjoyed! It reminds me of the ktvs I've went to in China! They have this happy hour deal where up to 8 people can song for only 20$!

I was excited to find KTV in the area but was very disappointed. In summary, I go to KTV for the karaoke system and selection of songs and this was missing which therefore made it feel like an expensive evening. My two big issues are 1) No real karaoke system. It's more like you get a room with microphone and a tv screen where you can select Karaoke songs from YouTube. The keyboard is hard to use and you cannot search songs while you are singing as the YouTube search screen will cover the lyrics of the song. As it's YouTube, you can't change the key to your song. If you forget how the song goes, you can't get the original singer to play so you can't follow along. They do have a karaoke system but it's only in Chinese language. I could have done this in my living room. 2) They charged a 18% gratuity. It was not mentioned when I inquired about the price at the reception. When I was leaving they mentioned it's on the price menu on the wall by I cannot read it when standing in front of the reception desk due to the small print. My complaint is I've never been charged a service fee at a karaoke place, I don't feel I received service other than having a few drinks delivered to the room and I had to walk out of the room to order drinks. The total charge came out to 85 dollars for 4 people ... given the lack of a karaoke system it felt very expensive. The staff was nice. The venue was clean. You can only order appetizers and they were not offering there full food menu. This did not affect us as we had already had dinner.

went for a friend's birthday party, a party of 11 in a medium sized room. came to $14 per person which wasn't bad. the girl working there was kind of cold and rude and did not do a good job of explaining the difference between option "a" and "b" for pricing, something about having food included and waiving the room charge. i'm still confused now lol. they also, as another review mentioned, included 18% gratuity for not much service- 1 pitcher of water and one spring roll order. not sure if this would've been included if we had not ordered the food. she also tried telling me they didn't have free water and only $3 bottled water, i was like you don't have a tap back there?? she returned with a pitcher of ice water and glasses for all of us lol. don't go there for the food, the menu is tiny, mediocre, and overpriced. $7 for basic french fries or $10 for 5 tiny vegetable spring rolls?? eat at one of the many great reataurants in the area beforehand. they had drinks but we didn't get any, looked overpriced as well at $10-15 a drink, this ain't no craft cocktail bar in downtown detroit yall. the rooms themselves are nice with comfy booths and a private bathroom. we still had a great time, something fun and different to do!

Great place for karaoke. It is a very fun place. Drinks are really good and food is nice. We like this place a lot.

Prices was very affordable! Had a big party room! They should put more than one server on but over all great time!

This place was great for large group private karaoke! I came with a group of 20 people and the VIP room was the perfect size to be able to sing and dance. The rooms are very clean and the sound system was great. The keyboard for the songs was a little difficult at times and got stuck but overall a great experience. Also the food was pretty good and great prices. Overall I would recommend this place to others looking to do private karaoke with a group of family, friends or coworkers!
