Can’t wait to go back to this place!!! Outstanding food, great fish options, and the table water is amazingly cold (I know that sounds crazy, but you get ice cold water, without the ice, and chilled glasses)! The patio, though, might be the real star. Spacious, charming, and full of atmosphere, right on the river! Quiet enough to catch up with friends or enjoying a quiet meal, it's a perfect spot to relax and soak it all in. And the staff? Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They hit that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great food, great outdoor eating, and a little sunshine on the side.

17 River Grille is such a nice restaurant to celebrate basically anything. Would be very nice for a date night. However we went there to celebrate my best friend’s birthday. First of all the restaurant is at such a nice, eye soothing location and the restaurant itself is nice and classy. Servers and other employees were very professional and nice to us. I requested the host to give us the best view table after arriving there and they arranged it within a few minutes. That was very nice of them. The place looked like it’s perfect for romantic dates, corporate dinners, family dinners and friends gatherings. The food came pretty fast, and it was big portion size. Price wise it was totally worth it. All the foods were fresh and straight outta kitchen. However I think the fish and chips could have been better. I didn’t taste anything at all while eating it. But the salmon and chicken were fine. Overall this restaurant is a solid 9.5 and i would definitely go back there for a date night. Recommended…👍🏼

Overall this was an amazing restaurant! We didn’t make a reservation in advance and didn’t have to wait super long (4th of July). We sat outside by the road.. which wasn’t great since the sun was beating down on us so not much coverage and not a view. Don’t get me wrong, it was still very nice however I didn’t know there was seating over looking the river that’s beautiful! I’m not sure how you get those seats, but I’d love to sit out there next time. It’s weird we weren’t sat out there as there were plenty of seats open. The heavenly biscuits are an absolute must! I got the lemon chicken and it was delicious I can’t wait to get it again. Service was good overall, other than waiting a long time for everything and not really getting fast service , but in no means was it bad. Was pricey, I think with tip we spent around $100. Really loved this place and would love to come back soon!

Came here for my niece’s birthday dinner and it was a great time. Where we were seated had the perfect view of the falls. I love that the outdoor seating had heating in the colder months. While the entire meal was good the biscuits and the bacon were my absolute favorite. Also this was an even more memorable experience as my little one lost her tooth at dinner and the waiter noted in on the excitement with us. We’ll definitely be back again.

Google
5+++ service and food! Loved the food, vibes, beautiful views of the waterfall. Our waiter Anthony was amazing and got us Icecream on the house. Much appreciated! You made our family’s stay in Cleveland extra special!

Had the white snapper (fish of day) and it was great! Portion wasn't huge but to be expected for this type of place. Other dishes like short rib and chicken breast had much larger portions but are regular menu items. Firecracker shrimp appetizer and lobster bisque were tasty. Wish I would have chosen a different cocktail from the paloma I got (not much grapefruit flavor) but all in all it was a great experience!

Google
Amazing. Everything was top notch quality. That only complaint I could give is that the fries were just basic, and the French toast was pretty dry but we made it work. The pot stickers and biscuits stood out for me. Not pictured is the mashed potatoes, those are very good. DO NOT GET THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES. mine was very bland with very dry chicken. There is nothing special about it and is very bland and basic. The other food here makes up the problem though. The steak frites was cooked perfectly.

Google
TLDR: poor food quality but spectacular views. Really disappointed with our past few visits. The restaurant has fallen off a cliff, and just isn’t what it used to be. We’ve been coming for years and this was our third visit in a row we left bummed out. Not sure how else to describe it, but it feels like they have really started to cut corners to save a few bucks and it’s showing in all aspects. The amazing views of chagrin falls are the one shining star here. First, it took 20 minutes for our table to be ready despite having a reservation. The food took a while, and the service was lacking. The entire time it felt like they were trying to “catch up”. Clearly they need a few more people working. Our mains were brought to the table with no room as our appetizer plates still hadn’t been cleared. Food wise, the heavenly biscuit truly are that - heavenly. But the rest of our meal left a lot to be desired. The salads didn’t taste fresh. Three of us ordered the filet medium rare and they were all over cooked. Once of us got the half chicken that was dry and flavorless. The sides of broccoli were soggy and dripping with butter and oil. The “whipped potatoes” were hard and bland. We also tired the 17 roll sushi which tasted store bought and not fresh. The carrot cake for dessert was pretty good and they serve it warm. For a local spot with high prices to leave us less satisfied than if we had gone to a chain restaurant when it was so clear we didn’t enjoy our food as no plate was finished, is just too bad. For the prices, you’d think some attention to detail would be there to ask why none of us cleared our plates or asked for boxes to go. Sad to say, but this will be falling out of our rotation.

Yelp
Our hostess Rebecca went above and beyond herself with seeing that we got a seat next to the falls just as we wanted. We drove an hour and a half and it was my friend's first time being there. Rebecca made my friend's first time memorable for sure. Amanda our waitress was also a pleasure. Attentive, pleasant, and conversed with us as well. I have yet to have a bad meal there. The view is so relaxing whether upstairs or down, as well as outside. 17 River Grille is one of my top favorite places. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend you put it on your bucket list.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
I'd rate our experience outstanding. It's a regular stop for us since they opened. Great food, wonderful, pleasant atmosphere and most pleasant wait staff. Biscuits - outstanding, often take some "to go". Actually, all of the restaurants under the Doody umbrella are wonderful, but this one, because it's more casual with a great view of the falls is our favorite. MarilynMcG

Yelp
Where do you go when you want a perfect patio with a backdrop of the Falls? Here!!! This Thai Steak Noodle salad did not disappoint! It boasted so many flavors and textures, it passed hitting the mark! But even better than the food was the most charming and attentive server, Angiolina! She notified us of any delays, apologized for nothing within her control and was just a pleasure. I am highlighting her because we are regulars at all of the Doody family restaurants and although our favs are Cedar Creek Grille, Bar Italia and Jojo's, I would return time and time again to 17 River for sweet Angiolina! Keep up the incredible devotion to keeping it real and a real experience!

Yelp
Imani was the BEST server. Firecracker shrimp: 7.8/10 (nice kick!) Hummus: 9.5/10 Pork chop: 8.5/10 (sauce was fabulous! Mashed potatoes immaculate & pork cut like butter) Burger: 8/10 (fries could be more seasoned) Beautiful ambience & service every time we come here!

Yelp
This place was excellent. The French toast... literally the best I've ever had and I wish I lived nearby so I could have it more frequently! The service was really lovely, very kind and efficient. The ambiance was really nice, beautiful view of Chagrin Falls and very fancy atmosphere inside. I can't wait to be in the area again to come for a dinner date.

Yelp
Brunch. Patio with a waterfall and creek view. Good food. Good vibes. It was the perfect start to my Cleveland weekend. We went early (as soon as they opened) hence the seemingly empty restaurant. The upstairs level was more packed but because this was my first time in Cleveland we took in patio vibes. So glad we did! Food was great! Service was great! Ambiance was great!!! The burger wasn't special but it was a really good burger. The chicken dish was good and had a lemon caper taste to it. I'd recommend getting a side as it does not come with a side outside of the salad. The decor was wonderful and sitting out near the waterfall was great. After brunch (if it's not raining) you can go explore more businesses as it is a walkable area with other small and locally owned businesses in the area. Because it was raining, we left after brunch. Also, it is paid parking (meter) so keep that in mind. Overall great experience. Definitely check this spot out!

Yelp
We came here for my mom's birthday and we had a good experience. Our service was very nice and the food was good. The whipped potatoes are heavenly. The fire cracker shrimp is actually spicy which I appreciated. The French onion soup is not salty or sweet, right in between. The lobster bisque is creamy and had very good flavor. The salads were very good portions. You have to get there early for a table with a view. It's nice to take a walk after dinner to see the waterfalls.
google avatar

Yelp
First off, there is valet parking for $5 which is a life saver. 2) the place is so beautiful and chic on the inside. We were sat in the patio and that was also an adorable picture opportunity and vibe. We were able to hear the waterfall! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved the food that we got, the quality was unmatched. My only complaint is that I wish the menu was a little bigger but it was overall a great experience. (Also get the lemon Parmesan chicken and French onion soup!)

Yelp
Beautiful place, excellent service, and food was amazing! My sister moved to Ohio a few months ago and we visited her for her bday this past week. She picked me up from the airport and went here for lunch. I heard that this place gets busy especially during the weekend and lucky for me, we came on a Wednesday afternoon. We were sat by the window with the perfect view of the falls. So glad my sister lives in Ohio because this place is a gem and I'll be able to come back here every time I'm in town.

Yelp
I made a reservation for today, Sunday, and told them it was my wife's birthday. When we got there the person that greeted us asked who's birthday it was and I told him. We were then seated. The meal was awesome, as always. The server who had been very unfriendly all meal never once mentioned my wife's birthday or asked if we wanted desert. She gave us our check, thanked us, and walked away. When you make the reservation, why ask if it's a special occasion if you're not going to even mention it. I was extremely disappointed.

Yelp
There is never a bad time to go to this restaurant. It's beautiful and absolutely every season especially summer and winter. The downstairs which many people don't know about is super cozy with fireplaces and great for the winter time. There's also a small party area the upstairs is surrounded by windows That overlooks the falls. The outside patio is pretty. The food is excellent. The wine is great. We have always sat at the bar and it's hit or miss on the service.

Yelp
5/5 peach salad (best thing we had here, love the combination of the nuts and peach and cheese) 4/5 firecracker shrimp (taste is delicious and spicy but I do wish it was crispy and not soft from the sauce) 1/5 crab cake (not a fan, texture was too mushy and the crab flavor didn't shine) 3/5 service. Server was friendly but didn't seem engaged. Just said the appropriate words. 5/5 cocktails. Loved that they were strong yet flavorful

Yelp
The food was good and tasty but the service was very slow, which might make sense if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. The waitress didn't bring out food and relied on others to do that. Our drinks were never refilled and she never asked if we needed anything else to drink. Then when we ordered ice cream for dessert they brought it out melted. And didn't even give us a free dessert for our anniversary. Ambiance was great but it did get pretty buggy being outside.
google avatar

Raevyn N.

Yelp
Starting off by saying service was cool. Very laid back and independent style dining. The restaurant was pretty and laid out interesting. We sat in the middle booth and faced another table which was kinda awkward. I got a cocktail that was very strong which is nice. The food was subpar honestly you are more paying for the view and location rather than high quality food. It came out quick but the fries were cold and the salad was touching the fries and meat which is not ideal. Overall not too bad but we didn't feel it was worth the $100 check.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely adore this place! Love the vibes, everything it so nicely put together, staff is very friendly, and check out these seats!! It is kind of a bummer you cannot reserve a seat by the water/window, but first come first serve totally worked out for us. This place gets busy so I would recommend getting a reservation, but honestly the staff does great getting walk-ins seated as quickly as possible. The salmon was amazing, firecracker shrimp was crispy with great flavor but the French onion soup is out of this world and the real showstopper is that lemon chicken. Order it! I don't love their fries or coleslaw, but the waitress easily allowed me to sub whatever I wanted, which was great. I'll for sure be back frequently!

Yelp
Biscuit love!!! Fresh baked biscuits served Up in an iron skillet. Savory flaky biscuits topped with honey butter melting into rich creamy goodness. Must have if you come here. I got the chicken pot pie special. More biscuits! Tasty chunks of chicken in a rich creamy, (is that sherry I taste?), sauce. Chunks of veggies and...did I mention biscuits? Fresh tomatoes and greens on the side with just a touch of dressing to add flavor. I love when it's not drowning in dressing. I had an Autumn Gin Sour, actually two. Fresh cranberries garnish cider based classic gin sour flavors. Maybe a hint of caramel. Just perfect for a cold autumn evening. Gorgeous views of the falls. Upscale ambience but casual friendly place. You can dress up but you don't have to. Very busy on a Friday night. Parking can be a challenge but they have Valet for only $5 We stopped for dinner before our ice cream adventure to Jeni's around the corner. Fantastic bar area. It would be a super stop with friends for drinks. Service was good. We only waited maybe half an hour without reservations. Looked like an event space downstairs but we sat on an enclosed porch area overlooking Chagein Falls. Just a bit cool but there were radiant heaters and it wasn't bad. Very romantic setting if you want that kind of night but also lots of families and friend groups gathering. A new favorite to recommend.

Imani P.

Yelp
First time & we will be back! Our server, Andrew, provided great menu knowledge & service; he was also very nice.
google avatar

Maddy B.

Yelp
17 River Grille was excellent. We really enjoyed the honey butter biscuits! The Autumn menu showcased seasonal produce and rich creamy dishes. The half chicken was cooked to perfection, with a delectable chicken gravy. The view of the falls was gorgeous!

Jude P.

Yelp
We had Stella as our server and she was fabulous. Knowledgeable, helpful, checked in to see if we were okay or if we needed something. She has a great personality! I asked her if the manager was there and she pointed JOBY out to me. I walked over to him, introduced myself and told him about our splendid experience and the fact it happened to be my 78th birthday celebration. This restaurant has always been a favorite of ours, but this experience was the best. Jude and Dick Parke. 6/26/2025

Yelp
Great food! Celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday here and the food and service was great! Food portions sizes were a nice surprise! Everyone enjoyed their meals! Kids chicken strips were more than enough and not too expensive! The chicken fried steak was awesome and so were the burgers

Wendy D.

Yelp
I have come to realize that the restaurant has some really good dishes. I love the chicken breast is good- add a lot of lemon, the trout was good, I didn't mind the small Korean salad. It needs more flavor and make it bigger andI would like this . It more of everything and I don't eat a lot. I am had a bite of my daughter in- laws sushi and really liked it. I think I will try it tonight!

Yelp
Love this place!! It's the perfect afternoon or evening restaurant in a fabulous city great for exploring little shops and boutiques. Check out their menu .. delicious!

Katrina P.

Yelp
I had the absolute worst experience at this restaurant. I requested my waiter check for me if a certain item had an allergen. First, he switches the lunch menus that were out for dinner menus. It was 3:43PM. Then I was talking to my mother and he went absolutely nuts on us. Said we cannot talk to him like this (we had said absolutely nothing to him), took away our menus and said he would not serve us, and kicked me and my elderly mother out of the restaurant. He followed us out, bullied us, and threatened to call the cops. It was the most insane restaurant experience of my life. And this guy claims to be the manager. Horrible, horrible restaurant.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
I definitely agree with other reviews that it takes a while to get in here. I had a reservation and it still took over an hour to get sat. I really like the ambience instead. The view from outside is beautiful. However it's not maintained as well as other outside patios I have dined on. Looking above your head there are spiders everywhere. We came for a special occasion which was on our reservation. However; it was never mentioned. I would definitely not choose to celebrate anything here as they do not seem to acknowledge celebrations as many restaurants do. As for the food it was decent. I had Salmon with Mac n Cheese. My husband had a burger which he thought was ok. He would have preferred a burger that was medium rare, these were smaller patties and not cooked to order. My salmon was overcooked but I didn't send it back because we were starving. The Macaroni was delicious and creamy and al dente.
google avatar

Melanie V.

Yelp
Walleye and trout were awesome!!! Highly recommend either of those options. Nashville hot on the other hand was not a typical flavor and not to my liking but was to my husband. It's dry peppery instead of saucy or buffalo spicy. Chicken is good although quite a bit of batter too. And lastly that bun is bad. Looks good, tastes bad. Also our service was not great this time around but it was a good table and the fish really made up for it.
google avatar

Bill D.

Yelp
Lovely view of the falls. Staff were friendly and attentive. We were disappointed in the entree--the fish of the day, which turned out to be drenched in a very sweet and very spicy sauce--not a beurre blanc sauce as described on the menu. The service staff were A+ and the view was lovely! We just wish the menu had been accurate.
google avatar

Maegan R.

Yelp
Great spot along the Chagrin River falls with a great beautiful aesthetic. We ordered appetizers and drinks, highly recommend the Heavenly Biscuits which were jammed back with flavor and were perfectly savory. Order them early because they do run out! We also ordered the No Ordinary Caesar which was tasty but was very much an ordinary Caesar salad along with the crab cakes which were good but didn't have a wow factor for the price. I really enjoyed the Brewster and Stroud cocktail which was light and refreshing, perfect for a summer evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

C M.

Yelp
For an amazing view, you can't beat 17 River Grille. Whether you grab a bite at the bar, or on the patio or in the main dining room or on the lower level, it's the best location! For an amazing menu that has great variety, affordable and is consistently well prepared you also can't beat 17 River Grille. For beautiful ambiance, spacious interior and just a lovely space, you also can't beat 17 River Grille. Every time I dine in Chagrin Falls I always check out 17 River Grille. Oh almost forgot- you must try the biscuits! Delicious!
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Had a great dining experience at 17 river grille. Our server was Santiago and he was very attentive to our group of 8, and I think our service was one of the best parts of the night. The sushi appetizers were all very fresh and perfect to split amongst the table. The star of the appetizers though was the heavenly biscuits. Truly so amazing!! The French onion id rate 4/5 stars due to the broth being slightly sour, but still really well put together. Sadly it was a cold day so couldn't sit on the patio but the scenery around the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely recommend short rib as your meal!
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
Had a great brunch here. Enjoyed the 17 smash burger and the biscuits are incredible! We also tried a new desserts like the key lime cheesecake and it was delicious. Beautiful view of the fall from both upstairs and downstairs patio. Our server did a great job and was extremely attentive.

Mary S.

Yelp
We had an awesome time for our 34th anniversary celebration. Our waiter Ryan gave all the right suggestions when asked. We had delicious food, gorgeous ambiance and a beautiful time.

Ann M.

Yelp
Great view from almost any table. Service is always consistent. Food can be inconsistent, however. Had dinner there this week with my husband. I had the burger and he had the salmon. French fries were gross. Tasted like they had been fried in old over used grease and there were puddles of grease on the plate under the french fries. The little bucket of ketchup they brought to the table with it, looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Definitely did not look freshly poured. Those kind of things make you question how the kitchen is managed .

Ala A.

Yelp
Amazing view of chagrin falls. Must try the heavenly biscuit, it is addicting. Food is good but would be better if they have a chef operated menu.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Best part about this place is the view from the patio if you're fortunate enough to get seated here. It's one of the best patio briefs in all of the Cleveland area. The server was very attentive and stopped by the table often to see that we were OK on everything. All the food we ordered was certainly delicious. The Wagyu beef meatballs come with toasted bruschetta and were good, although I've had better meatballs elsewhere. They are about the size of a mandarin. We also ordered the Burning River sushi roll which was very plentiful and good all around. The Idaho Rainbow Trout meal was fabulous. Recommended if you were on the fence for which seafood to order. Overall, this place was great. We will definitely be back to enjoy the patio once again.

Gregory J.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the service great. The views over the falls are wonderful. The only negative is parking is very awful due to construction in the area.
google avatar

Kelsie K.

Yelp
Lucked into a table right away on a rainy Sunday evening back in August. It was still nice enough out to sit outside by the falls, which is an amazing view while dining! Service was a little slow, but the restaurant is huge so not surprised. We enjoyed our food, go for the Heavenly Biscuits as a starter, you won't regret it! My 17 Burger was okay, nothing unforgettable, but I would go back again! We walked from our air bnb so not sure about the parking situation, it looked like they do offer valet. Plenty of shops and dessert options around town to walk to after dinner here.
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant several times. This time we celebrated my daughter's birthday. Food is excellent. We enjoyed the biscuits and shrimp for an appetizer. They had a special menu available. I ordered the beef bourguignon. It was really good. I had an excellent moscato. Our server was new but you would never know it. Reservations are a must unless you find seats at the bar. It is a bit noisy but a view of the falls makes up for it.

Yelp
9/8/23 Update: After being contacted by some higher uppers, I was able to speak to the actual owner (who I mistakenly thought was Stephen). Rick (the owner) gave me a call and listened to me recount my experience and share my thoughts. As Rick said himself in the initial message to me "I already have management teams at 17 River Grille... And all of our restaurants revising policies... to add low top or flexible seating to all our happy hour areas. We will also address this with all future designs." Policy change/staff understanding of when they must make accommodations is what I was aiming to have done. So this claim sounds promising. There also seems to be some confusion with my original post - some people thinking I was saying that they do not have chairs of all heights/accessible facilities. That is not the case!! My original post meant to bring light to the fact that I was not given reasonable accommodation to access a service that they publicly offer. I was not implying that they were lacking appropriate chairs. 1 star (0 if I could) for Phteven, but 4 stars for Rick Doody. 9/5/23 Original post: !!!!!THIS RESTAURANT WILL DENY SERVICE BASED OFF DISABILITY!!!!! I went here (not my first time) during happy hour times. I require low seating as I am physically disabled. When requesting happy hour service at an accessible seating location, I was told NO by Steven (who I now see is the owner) and that I must sit at the bar seating. I pointed out my disability. I received a shrug in response and was essentially told rules are rules and all the restaurants they own have this policy. No reasonable accommodations were suggested or provided. I felt horrified, embarrassed, subhuman, and violated. Just as a reminder to STEVEN/17 River and all their restaurants with this discrimination disguised as a policy, people with disabilities deserve to be treated as humans. It's unfortunate that a law needs to exist for this to even happen, but here's a quick overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act : The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects people with disabilities from discrimination. Disability rights are civil rights. From voting to parking, the ADA is a law that protects people with disabilities in many areas of public life.

Yelp
Chose 17 River Grille because it was my friends 79tg birthday - Very special day! Service was definitely professional, attentive and kind. The server was perfect! The food was ok - just ok.

Yelp
We stopped here on a recent shipping trip to chagrin falls. I'm so happy we did! The experience was awesome from hello. We did reserve a table on line, and I'm glad we did, it was quite busy when we arrived. We came hungry so our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs! We started with the deviled eggs/ bacon and the friendship roll for appetizers. Both were delicious! My companion had the French onion soup and loved it! The huge portions definitely stopped us from eating our entire entrée, but they heated up well! The most delicious part for me was the chicken and waffles, the waffles were sun kissed crispy on the outside with a soft as air inside on my goodness so good!!! We'll definitely be back as there's lots more to try. The dining area is big and the downstairs is my favorite place to sit. The view of the falls was gorgeous! Bathrooms were great. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

Yelp
Amazing service for years! Food is great! I ate the rainbow trout and it was amazing, others ate the salmon, strip and burgers and all were 5 stars!

Yelp
I love this restaurant but the food was a little off tonight. We ordered an espresso martini but it was a mix and not from espresso. I had the Pinot Grio which was really good. We ordered biscuits that came out cold but our server did take them back so we could have warm biscuits. The burger wasn't that flavorful and the salad was pretty ordinary. Overall I love the place but tonight wasn't a hit for us.

Yelp
Trendy spot. Stopped in for lunch, service was great. Not your ordinary Caesar w grilled chicken was okay. My coworker got the lemon chicken arugula and exclaimed it was fantastic

Yelp
Had brunch here yesterday with my friend from college. It was probably my third or fourth time here and it never disappoints. We split a bottle of rose, the 17 Benedict which we ordered medium rare but it came out a little more medium (which was fine). The only thing that wasn't ideal was the eggs were very overdone so we didn't get to enjoy any yolk. Flavors were still delicious. We also couldn't pass up the world famous biscuits - they really are to die for, so do yourselves a favor and order them no matter what! We finished with the granola and berries for a little something sweet which was delicious. Our server was wonderful - he was attentive and helpful. The manager came over to offer his appreciation for us dining with them which was a nice touch. I will be back! This is a great brunch spot with beautiful views of the falls and nice ambiance. Great for friends, family or a little elevated celebration.
google avatar

Yelp
A very nice atmosphere! Also a beautiful spot to view the falls. Dine upstairs or downstairs. The drinks are done well! Good!! The food is presented very well. We made it for Sunday brunch. Ordered eggs Benedict served with steak sirloin. The steak was cooked perfectly. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Flavor...well...the steak could have been seasoned more. There was not much for hollandaise on it. So while cooked perfectly needed more flavor. The French toast was yummy! I would indeed go back.

Yelp
This beautiful setting on the Chagrin River proved an excellent choice for us today. Its oak floors and tea towel napkins were the perfect setting along with wonderful attentive service. I ordered the Caesar salad, though sadly not as delicious as that of the Reserve next door, suited us especially since it was open at the time we arrived. Even the water glasses were turned out gorgeously, resembling Ball jars. They were voluminous. I also ordered the warm biscuits with a delectable light and fluffy compound whipped butter with honey. Perfect in almost every way. Sadly the Caesar salad could have been improved had it incorporated white anchovies. Our overall experience would be improved if we could have parked closer to the entrance.

Yelp
There was only one thing better than the gorgeous view of the falls experienced by us at 17 River Grill on Saturday, the combined effort of the culinary, service, and management team!! Our server Tyler, while fairly new to the industry, was not new to exceeding guests expectations. He could listen well enough to take our conversation to a deeper level to ensure that my 91-year-old mother was going to have an Amazing experience. Every possible detail that might be dropped in other restaurants was attended to in a casual, yet highly professional fashion. He was paying attention to the details that separate mundane from world-class service. Our special orders were seen to, beverages were never lacking, and he engaged other team members such as General Manager Samantha to make us feel as valued guests in their establishment. The grilled artichokes were beyond reproach, both in proper cooking techniques and flavoring/seasoning. The multi-grain bread served with the outstanding hummus was addicting to say the least. Each piece was properly anointed with oil, grilled to perfection, and the artisanal quality spoke volumes of the bakers abilities. The oak planked salmon was cooked to perfection as were the roasted root vegetables. The surprisingly refreshing presence of mint in the kale salad pushed what could have been a run-of-the-mill salad in other establishments over the top. The dressing was well balanced and added just the right sweet/vinegar balance to accentuate the perfectly cooked and shredded chicken. Hats off to the often over looked culinary team. The flow depicted by them during the mad rush was impressive. Just the right amount of communication at just the right time to get the job done. The efficiency and "kitchen dance" was beautiful. I miss those days........ Thank you for an excellent experience. We will tell others and we will be back!

Yelp
Tried this place after getting take out once for my birthday. I brought the entire family and it was one of the worst meals I have ever experienced. The service was terrible. My cup and fork were both dirty. The server told my daughter they had Mac and cheese and they don't. Our appetizer never came out. Our server brought us 3 appetizer plates for 4 people. When our appetizer finally did come out and our meals came out about 2 minutes later. My steak was prepared entirely different than what the menu said. It had fried onion straws on top.

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner and the ambiance was beautiful. The waterfall in the back was still able to be seen but would have been better in the day time. I got the Braised Short Ribs and the biscuits; both were amazing. The ribs were so tender I didn't even need a knife and the flavor was good. The biscuits were so good! Definitely would order that whole meal again. We had Lisa as our server and she was great. Can't wait to go again!
