Yelp
I want to extend my compliments to The LINE Hotel, particularly to Derrekk, for going above and beyond to accommodate me in the best room possible. Staying at The LINE Hotels always feels like coming home. The staff is friendly and kind, and the Café team greets me with so much love and joy every time they see me--that's truly priceless. Don't miss out on the restaurant *No Goodbyes*--the food is absolutely delicious. Shout out to everyone behind the kitchen for striving to make the best food in the area, crafted with love and bursting with flavor. Thank you all!

Yelp
This hotel repeatedly double-charged me for valet parking. The first time it happened, it took over one week to resolve and the person I spoke with about it, Poncedar, acted like issuing me a refund for the double-charge a week later was going above and beyond. The next time it happened (about a month later) I emailed them about it and they didn't even respond, so I had to initiate a charge-back through AmEx. Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy combing through your receipts for erroneous charges after you've checked out.

Yelp
One thing that always stays the same is constant change. DC has a ton of new places that have opened recently, so we left it to friends who live in town to pick places for us to go. This was one of them and we ended up having a great time. The LINE used to be an old bank, and still has high vaulted ceilings and vintage lighting. In recent times they took this old building, added a modern hotel, and made the floor into a fun cocktail bar and lounge. The steps going in made you feel you're going into a museum, and even with the huge space it still felt oddly cozy and warm. On either of the far sides was a bar, each with a selection of handmade cocktails and other drinks. The bartenders were immediately super friendly and when I asked one about beer, he became super friendly and told me about their selections. Thank you Alex for buying a couple of the beers that night, really made for a great memory! I had a few different local DC beers, each served in an appropriate clean glass which is always the mark of a great place. Friends ordered a variety of cocktails and mixed drink; all presented beautifully. The main floor consisted of low sofas and chairs around different tables, and thankfully everything was able to be moved around so the staff quickly accommodated our large party. If you're in DC and looking for a new experience with delicious drinks, this is a must-visit spot.

Yelp
We stayed 5 nights, initially came for a wedding. Family of 4 with two teens. Pros - it's a neighborhood vibe. Restaurant in lobby is fun and has excellent French fries and other food. Good restaurants within walking distance (and a cute bookstore). Cons - front desk staff (females) are unhelpful and look absolutely burdened to do anything. Especially gal with rose tattoo if management is reading. We stayed 5 nights and needed new keys once and wanted to review our bill on the checkout and we weren't once in 5 days thanked for staying. Had bags held at checkout and you'd think we asked for the moon. Just poor attitudes and slow as molasses. Mattresses and pillows were not comfortable and metal (antique looking) beds made a ton of noise every roll over. Water pressure/spray in shower was bad. Some towels were newer than others. Spotty restaurant service - we ate two breakfasts and 3 dinners there. Website pictures show the open lobby upper deck which they have closed off - so it's not as charming as they advertise. The checkin photography is different too. Probably lots changed with covid? Still lots of staff in masks which is fine but you can tell not many employees are smiling behind them.

Yelp
This one pains me to write.. I used to live across the street, and the line was our favorite spot for cocktails, dinner, and coffee. I planned a surprise trip for my boyfriend's birthday and to propose to him this past weekend, and staying at The Line seemed like a no-brainer because it was a huge part of our time when we lived in DC. The customer service at the front desk is horrendous. I booked through Affirm because I did not want the surprise to be ruined by a charge hitting our credit cards. I had to call multiple times daily for over a week to confirm the booking and get a simple credit card authorization form to be emailed to me for the incidental charge/deposit. When I asked, I was told they were "too busy" multiple days. They have still not responded to ANY emails I have sent, and when we arrived, nothing was ready, meaning I almost missed my proposal setup. The front desk staff was unprofessional during the ordeal, even walking away without saying anything a few times. I was told they were behind because they had two weddings that weekend - while I understand that might be hectic, your other guests should not need to suffer. I requested/paid for a city view and got a courtyard view on the ground floor with an HVAC that auto-adjusted all night to an uncomfortable temperature. We asked the front desk to fix it, but they never came, so we ended up sleeping with the windows open and having to deal with the noise of the building's HVAC systems all night. The mark was missed in the rooms, too, with dirty, scuffed walls and shelves falling apart in the shower. Housekeeping never came, and the list goes on. Save yourself the hassle and stay closer to downtown in other independent chains that actually want your business. Service in their restaurant was also horrendous; head to that page for more details.

Yelp
The expensive hotel is run down, over priced and lacks all semblance of a service model. The room was worn out with scuffs on the walls, frayed carpeting and broken parts and pieces. Need anything extra....the staff at this dump won't help you. No one answers the front desk when you call. This hotel absolutely sucks.

Yelp
The Line DC is a Jack of all trades (and masters them all, too). A wonderful boutique hotel with comfy beds, eclectic decor, and modern bathrooms (and friendly valet service)? Check. A coffee shop with good brews and tasty pastries and breakfast items? Check. A fun cocktail bar and lounge with outstanding bar service? Check. Coffee house by day, bar and lounge by night, The Line DC has a funky cool vibe with table seating and great lounge areas if you have a larger party (or even if you don't). The building was once a church, and they've maintained enough of those architectural elements to keep things interesting. They do serve food at night, but we didn't order anything so I can't speak to that. Friendly staff at the bar and the hotel, easy valet service if you have a car, great location in Adams Morgan from which to start your DC adventures. Can't complain about The Line!

Yelp
THE HOTEL THAT NEVER WORKS -- AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have family in the area, so I have stayed at the Line several times. It's close and convenient, but every single time we stay there, without fail, something is wrong -- the internet is down, a leak in the room, heater is stuck on boiling, AC doesn't work, TV doesn't work. Literally. Every. Single. Time. This last trip was the final straw. I booked in advance and paid for a room in full. After an extremely long day of travel, and with family to see soon, we arrived at the Line to check-in. The room was already paid for, but then needed ANOTHER credit card to swipe to put a hold on for the mini-bar, which we had no intention of using. But, alas, their credit card machine was "down." They literally could not check us in. You'd think that wouldn't be a problem, right? Could they use the card they already had on file? No, don't be silly. Could they manually enter my card number? They lack that technology. Could they write the card number down and enter it later when the machine was working? Nope. Could they just let us into our room now and I'd come back to swipe a card when the machine was working? Out of the question. Could they give us a complimentary drink at the bar while we waited? Dream on. Could they even offer an apology? No. Instead, we waited outside for TWO HOURS for the machine to work... so we could swipe a second credit card... for a mini-bar we never opened. We got into the room. Of course, the TV didn't work, and they refused to help. They have a Pelaton in the exercise room, but management told us the hotel didn't renew their subscription, making the equipment useless. And when I went to check out, the woman at the front desk took a TEN MINUTE phone call in the middle of our conversation. Afraid of missing my train, I just left without having my questions answered. A week later, I saw an extra $63 "amenities" fee on my credit card, in addition to the booking and other fees I already paid. I called and explained the situation, that no one told me about this fee, that we were wildly inconvenienced, and that we didn't use any amenities because we were told we couldn't. Did they waive or discount the fee? What do you think? (No) This is The-Hotel-That-Never-Works, with the most incompetent and rude staff of any hotel I've ever stayed in. It's not worth your time, your money, or your never-ending frustration. Please, go stay literally anywhere else.

Yelp
In my relentless pursuit of the perfect latte, I found solace at The LINE DC, drawn by the siren call of their Caramel Latte and Cheese Danish. With that first sip, the caramel latte transcended mere coffee; it was a voyage into a realm of opulent, velvety nuances. The blend of saccharine undertones harmonizing with the robust coffee essence bore witness to the barista's masterful touch, a true maestro in the orchestration of coffee. On the other hand, the Cheese Danish emerged as an unexpected delight--a buttery, flaky embrace cradling a generous dollop of creamy, tangy cheese, a dance of contrasting textures and tastes that made my palate rejoice. Together, the symphony of flavors orchestrated by the Caramel Latte and Cheese Danish left a resonating note, compelling a desire for an encore. The LINE DC has transcended the mere act of dining, encapsulating the soul of culinary artistry in every bite and sip. With utmost sincerity, I bestow upon them a well-earned 5-star accolade. For those in quest of an indelible epicurean journey, look no further than The LINE DC's Caramel Latte and Cheese Danish--an ode to gastronomic ecstasy.

Yelp
Very cool hotel! Only stayed for one night but enjoyed it - rooms are a very cool blend of upscale and boutique. It has a very cool lounge/restaurant/bar area that was converted from an old bank. Also has a cafe that opens in the morning - tried the cold brew and latte, both good! Only complaint is I couldn't figure out how to keep the AC on all night and the pillows were very flat! Overall very good stay!

Yelp
This review is for the coffee shop: My drink and food were both cold. The service was meh. The internet was good, and there were a lot of spaces to work but would not go for the edibles.

Yelp
We were able to book a room here at a special rate so we could attend an event. I have been trying to check this place out for a while so I'm glad we had a reason to stay. We pulled up on Euclid and found out the valet parking/entrance to the hotel is around the corner on Champlain. Valet parking is $50/night but you get in/out privileges. The lobby was pretty small but had some nice Christmas decorations. Check in was fairly quick and we got a room on the second floor. The room itself was pretty big compared to most DC hotels i've been to. The room felt pretty homey and had some nice wood floors. The bed was nice, kind of noisy but no big deal. The bathroom was pretty nice as well, the shower's water pressure was pretty intense sort of like a fireman's water hose. We didn't really get a view but the windows in the room were enormous. We only got to stay one night but I would love to come back because I wanted to try their restaurant (No Goodbyes) and they also had a pop up bar as well that we missed too. Overall, it was a solid stay. The hotel felt a little small but the size of the room made up for it and its in walking distance from many other restaurants.

Yelp
Trendy hotel that was converted from a church and centrally located in DC if you want to avoid the business areas/downtown. Here's what you need to know: 1. Cool downstairs and bar area where you can also work remotely or meet friends for a drink 2. Rooms are on the larger side and have this modern farmhouse feel 3. Rooms also feel standard in terms of quality of product. They aren't overly luxurious but feel elevated for the price point. 4. Super nice staff Overall a good option if you're looking for a place to stay in DC.

Yelp
such a cool place. The creativity behind the concept and design is top notch. Pillows on the steps... Brilliant! The cardamom bun is tooothsome a bit of almond paste perhaps to keep it densely moist? Delicious coffee too!

Yelp
This was practically the only place I considered staying at when I decided to visit DC since I've visited all the other Line hotels. The building used to be a church, so it was a bit dimly lit in some areas. The stairs in the front make it look like you're visiting a museum. The hotel entrance is on the left side of the building. The front desk people were ok. The housekeeping staff were nice. My room was very comfortable and spacious. There was one main light switch to turn all the lights on/off, but you could go to each socket and switch it on/off or adjust the brightness. I liked that they had a complimentary Nespresso maker and 2 water bottles in the room. They had a mini bar fridge and snacks for purchase. The communal area had a good amount of people working/hanging out and dog friendly. I didn't check out the bars/eateries. Lots of bus stops nearby and the subway is about 10 mins away by foot. The neighborhood is ok. Everything you could need like a grocery store, a few good eateries (esp the Japanese restaurant) and a little bit of shopping are minutes away by foot. Mall type stores were about 10 minutes away and near the subway station. Some homeless people and people just chilling in the area, but fairly safe. A small farmer's market can be found on Saturday mornings. If you plan on doing the usual touristy things, it's about a 20-30 minute bus ride away. Overall, I liked my room, but not sure if I'll return b/c it's a little out of the way.

Yelp
I booked a reservation on July 22 for January and when I went to hotels.com to check my booking today (8/7) it said canceled. I did not receive any email stating this. I called the hotel and the person that helped me claimed to be new. She said they had overbooked therefore my reservation was canceled. What a lie this is. The Line Hotel canceled my reservation so they can make more money off guests that are staying there during the inauguration. I book through Hotels.com all the time and this has never happened. This level of service is inexcusable, unprofessional, greedy, and simply disgusting! I'M EXTREMELY UPSET ABOUT THIS. VERY DISTASTEFUL!

Michelle Y.

Yelp
Rude staff that can't execute a simple task like send a receipt without you having to hound them on the phone over and over. Lobby is sad and dark. Rooms are old with broken down furniture. I would never stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed at The Line DC for our anniversary weekend. When I asked via text (in response to an initial text from the hotel) to arrange for champagne and flowers, I was met with a response that we needed to use "the app," which was not introduced or evident to us. In the end, we did not get what we wanted. Upon arrival, we were greeted by surly front desk staff. Although there was no one else in the lobby, one of the people merely played on her phone while we waited to check in. We were met with a nasty response when I inquired about checking in, so the other person, who was not much more friendly, checked us in. The other front desk person lost her temper and left on her "break." When I asked for the person's name, the other did not know it and merely informed us that she was "new." We asked the manager to contact us, but this never occurred during our entire stay. We arranged for a late checkout for an additional fee. However, the housekeeping staff twice entered our room inquiring about when we were leaving, interrupting our early afternoon and asking if we had informed the front desk. Of course, we did - and we were charged for it! The only time service was on par was when ordering extra coffee pods which were delivered quickly. Even so, the staff were not in uniform and had no name tags. The coffee was delivered in a brown paper bag. The Line may have a unique design, albeit a bit dated and tired, but the customer service was a major letdown. We strongly advise against staying at The Line DC. There are numerous other superior options in Washington, DC. Despite the hotel staff's lack of hospitality, the restaurant staff at No Goodbyes was terrific. Kudos to Hannah, our server, and the bartender. The food and drink were delicious. Go to the restaurant and skip the hotel.

Yelp
Love the place! It's original, rooms are ... roomy, well decorated and have a soul and ambience to it. Hotel and dining area definitely have a soul and potential. One star off is for service. It's not terrible, but somewhat subpar. If room service could do a proper cleaning the place could definitely move from funky to great.

Yelp
On first glance, I would have never known what this ornate building with massive columns was, and initially assumed it was one of the many DC government buildings, or some kind of important institution. It was a pleasant surprise to find out it was a hotel, coffee shop, bar, and hang-out spot all in one! I was able to work with friends here for several hours. My photos do not accurately depict the seating area, which was large and quite beautiful. There were ample tables, couches, and just general workspace. However, plugs for computers or other electronics were definitely lacking.

Yelp
I love to grab a coffee at the cafe inside and sit outside or sit in the lobby. The cafe is cute and has a few pastries. I just get a classic iced latte. I also attended an event here and not only is the upstairs beautiful but the food was superb!

Yelp
We stayed here for a night out. I was confused with the vibe of the hotel. I thought it was supposed to be classier than it was. The floral arrangement at the front desk looked pretty bad. It didn't look professional at all. The room was okay. I think the receptionist said it would be two queens but it was two fulls. Again, I wasn't sure what the vibe was.. the rooms were comfortable but decor was kind of odd. When we came back from dinner and drinks, the lobby area was super loud from a wedding party. I think we were waiting for my sisters Uber around 2am. The music was still booming. I think I just expected more for the price point and for the name.

Yelp
I visited The LINE for a solo birthday trip. DC is home away from home, so it wasn't a bad drive coming from Baltimore to the Go-Go city. I researched LINE for a couple of weeks before deciding that it would be the perfect little getaway. The front of the building looks like a beautiful historic library. One would assume that this is the main pick up and drop off for hotel guests, but it is not. The main hotel entrance is on the side, hidden away from the main street. If your driving your own vehicle, I would not suggest street parking. DC is a bit tricky with when and where to park. It's just easier to valet. The entry way to get to valet is *tight*, but the valet attendants are extremely diligent and might I say talented in getting the cars in and out of the garage as fast as they can. The lobby has a beautiful, royal essence about it. The colors are lovely, and opulently embellished. It's a luxurious feel and is a great introduction to the total experience of the hotel. It is important to note that there is a $300 holding/incidental fee, so you will want to incorporate that onto your bill. It will then be reflected back onto your card after checkout. Now to the magnificent part- the room! My goodness, it was absolutely amazing. I could not get over the beautifully decorated room. Art sprinkled throughout the space, as seen in the photos I took. It totally captured my personality. The room was clean and just simplistic. The bed felt like *heaven*. So cozy and lavish, I can still feel the softness of the comforter and pillows. The very best part of the whole experience: The. View. My goodness, the view. I can't tell you how long I stood in the window looking out onto the DC skyline. It was awesome seeing the bustling city life below. I saw a beautiful rooftop garden and people chilling quietly in cozy corners of their own worlds. It was just an amazing thing to capture. I kept my curtains open the entire stay, even at night. With the lights low, it made for a very wonderful & fantastic time. While I didn't dine at the restaurant, I did pass through it. It was a pretty cool vibe, with patrons enjoying their meals and cocktails. Maybe next time I'll go for an early dinner drink. All in all, this was one of the best hotel experiences I have EVER had and I CANNOT wait to go back! Kudos to the management, the valet attendants, the custodian staff, the concierge team- anyone who was apart of making my stay such a memorable experience. 5 golden stars across the board. Thank you so much!

Yelp
This sophisticated stop for a quality cocktail in Adams Morgan, DC inside this 1900's converted church featuring 60 foot vaulted ceilings and gorgeous detail and design is not your every day bar and hotel. Close to downtown DC and nightlife. A great place to start and/or end your night. The cocktails were perfectly blended and and served a smile to our faces. Worth every penny at this experiential venue.

Yelp
My partner and I had dinner there last night and it was wonderful! We sat at the bar, which we love to do, and Andrew and Finn took great care of us there. Phil, the head chef, took the time to drop by personally several times to check on us and that was really nice when he was busy running the restaurant and also a really large wedding! We had the cauliflower appetizer, which was tasty and spicey but so perfectly flavored. Then my partner had a wonderful steak with veggies and I had fantastic short ribs which were absolutely delicious! I didn't even need a knife... the meat was tender and moist and a fork was more than enough. The bed of veggies was a perfect complement. I then had the panna cotta for desert which was divine... sweet, flavorful, with hazelnut and pear. We'll be back again to see what Chef Phil is up to and we highly, HIGHLY recommend a visit to The Line for dinner!

Yelp
This is a nice hotel that charges an amenity fee for a robe, slippers, coffee maker and umbrella whether you use it or not. You are not informed that this almost 30.00 per day is added to your bill. This is another hidden fee merely to make the owners rich. I was there three nights, never had the room turned over in order to save money and be kind to the environment. Too bad a neighborhood hotel, one in which my family does business, leaves such a bad impression. Last time I stayed there I had to check my bill because I was charged for mini bar items I never used. Received a scripted response from the front desk person. Beware

Yelp
If you need a full nights rest to function the next day, I would avoid The Line DC. When I made my reservation, I asked for a quiet room. When I checked in I made sure to remind the woman at the front desk, that I needed a quiet room. She decided to place me on the 4th floor. I have been continuously woken up throughout the night and morning. This floor has some kind of engineering mistake. Every time someone opens their door on this floor, my door shakes violently in it's frame. It sounds as if someone is trying to break in. I am sleepless in D.C. and now have a headache from lack of sleep. This ruins my full day moving forward. This was not the experience I was hoping for. The Line DC is not a good place for sleeping.

Yelp
Super cool place. Too pricey though for a regular go to spot for weekend brunch. Ambiance, food, and service are all awesome

Yelp
My only regret about staying at the The Line is that it was only for one night! We are (newly) locals that came in from the NoVa area for a date night for my husbands birthday and wanted to check out the Adams Morgan area. Upon arriving, we could tell the location was perfect for walking to all the bars, restaurants and shops on 18th - exactly what we were looking for. At check in, we could already appreciate all the converted church aesthetic that was restored and modernized. The check in desk was fast and friendly. They asked if we were in the area for anything specific so I told them it was my husbands birthday weekend. He upgraded our room to a better view. He then asked if we were drinkers and I replied yes so he pulled out two drink tokens to use at the bar. The gesture was so kind and the tokens were pretty cool as well. We got up to our room which was stunning and surprisingly spacious for a converted church hotel room. Later in the evening we hit the bar, located to the side of the stunning restaurant area. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. I was worried at the service we might get for using free drink tokens but the bartender didn't miss a beat. He even brought over an extra glass of wine he thought that I might like to try. We ordered an additional round of drinks and tipped appropriately for the exceptional service. Overall, we plan to return to The Line, possibly with our kids so we can hit the National Zoo which is also close by. Definitely check it out if you get the chance!

Yelp
Fantastic hotel in what used to be a Christian Science (fiction) Church. Fantastic sheets, the best smelling bath products, and outrageous water pressure. What a treat to stay here!

Yelp
I just enjoyed a couple of really nice days at this beautiful hotel in Adams Morgan. I'm not going to go into a ton of detail here except to say that the hotel is worth the money and you will not be disappointed. Special shout out to the car valet Tamerat. He's incredibly nice and on point in terms of meeting the needs of visitors who need to take their car in and out of the garage frequently during their stay. :-)

Yelp
We stayed here a night and absolutely loved the room. The room honestly felt like someone's apartment. From the artwork, to the rug, to the well chosen furniture, everything felt unique. Not to say that every room probably doesn't look exactly like the one we had, but it felt so incredibly homey and comfortable. It was also very convenient having a really nice restaurant/bar downstairs. Book early though. They filled up quickly and we got our order to go. Also, every employee we encountered, including front desk, valet, to the restaurant employees were all amazing. Highly recommended. I will say that the bath products for the room were all natural and had a very strong "herb-y" smell. I washed my hair using their shampoo and smelled like a Korean medicinal bath for 2 days. It was one ingredient, maybe an eye of newt away from summoning a spell.

Yelp
I stayed here for a wedding The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. The food my husband and I had (we had dinner as well as breakfast) were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I will say, from being out of town - it was a bit confusing in which floor the actual check in desk was. We were dropped off at the first floor but the main entrance was around the corner, which is the actual Ground floor. Luckily the staff were helpful when we asked for directions

Yelp
This 4th of July we stayed at The Line, rather than braving the crowds in Lady Bird Johnson Park to watch fireworks. Our view of the fireworks was the best I have ever experienced. We saw the main show, plus several other smaller ones in Virginia and Maryland. This hotel is so thoughtfully designed. Our stay was a wonderful decision...a lovely staycation.

Yelp
Really cozy hotel! I loved the furniture and art in our room, it really wasn't the usual cookie cutter hotel stuff you usually see. I was hoping to see more of the building that they show in pictures, but a lot of it was only accessible for private events.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here. Having lived in the area for a while, I knew the location was going to be great and that there were plenty of yummy food options both in/outside of the hotel (see my review for No Goodbyes). The hotel used to be a bank and what they did with the space is creative and fun. The room was clean (minus stains around the toilet that have scathed that tile forever -- not sure what they can do about that), robe and slippers offered, great toiletries, wifi connectivity was okay (I experienced occasional buffering during my work video meetings), they have a minibar, and the coffee in room made life easier in the morning. I love that they offer refillable water bottles instead of plastic. The bed was fine (sunken in on one side but just sleep on the other -- I was alone so it wasn't an issue). The design of the hotel works really well, modern industrial. My room was quiet, the housekeeping staff were friendly and the receptionists were great. Briona was particularly helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here to a friend and would return myself! Thanks, The Line DC!

Yelp
The LINE is new since I lived in DC so I was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, I had issues with hot water two of the three days I stayed here. Day 1 I ran the water for 15 mins and then called the front desk for assistance because it was ice cold. They sent up a tech 15 mins later who did a few things and told me the hot water takes longer because I was showering when there weren't many others showering. He told me to run for another 20 mins to give it time to warm up -- it did. Day 2 (I showered again at a time others weren't) I ran the water for nearly 30 mins before walking down to the front desk. They said they'd send someone but never did. The water was ice cold and never warmed up. Day 3 I showered earlier in the morning and had no issue with the water warming up, which is great. But hot water shouldn't be dependent on the time of day one showers..

Yelp
We had a horrible experience at the bar. We came in for drinks and snacks before dinner. We did not receive water and we had to ask for our order to be taken. Couples that arrived after we did were promptly served. We also cancelled our order for snacks because we hadn't received them after waiting for 30 minutes. We won't be back.

Yelp
Dangerously Dark! TheLine Hotel DC promotes itself as a luxury hotel and their pricing certainly reflects that. They seem to be aiming for a retro, relaxed vibe as reflected in dark colors and very subdued lighting. In fact, the lighting is so subdued it makes navigating foyers, elevators, and hallways actually dangerous. The elevators were so dark that it was nearly impossible to read the floor numbers. The elevator waiting areas on each floor were uncomfortably dim. The rooms were at best modestly appointed. The in room dining menu was very disappointing. Our meal came with no condiments and there were few side options. The coup de grace came when we requested a late checkout and we're informed that there would be an additional $40.00 charge. Maybe that has become the norm but it capped off a pretty disappointing stay. O well, the wedding was fun but I'm not sure I would recommend scheduling another function there.

Yelp
Housed in a converted 1900s neoclassical church, The LINE Hotel DC and restaurant features 60 foot vaulted ceilings, beautiful millwork, brass detailing, large copper entry doors and the repurposed organ pipes as an eye catching chandelier. Black walnut old fashioned. Fried pickles. Beets salad. Slow cooked brisket with blooming ramps, roasted parsnips and sauce au poivre. Autumn olive farm pork tasting of loin, belly and sausage (but I went for double belly substitute over a sausage) with bloody butcher grits. #thelinedc #adamsmorgan #washingtondc #letsgotochurch

Yelp
Lovely location and accommodating team. We stayed two nights with our two dogs and had a lovely stay. The room was bright with large windows, and bed was comfortable. The amenities were the usual supply you'd find at any Line hotel. Valet service was quick and easy, and although there were understandable limited services due to COVID, but we felt very safe (and we're very conscientious/safe about COVID rules) and comfortable. At first I was reluctant to book away from the area where the other hotels are, but I was more than happy with the neighborhood feel of Adams Morgan. With great restaurants, and cute shops nearby, you can rent a bike if you don't want to drive and explore the area with ease. Pro tip: Capital view rooms have a more aesthetic view.

Yelp
Beautiful interior with great seating and ambiance. The drinks were great, just a bit on the expensive side. I would probably go back again, it seems like a great place to study and work!

Yelp
0 stars. Check in is at 3 PM yet somehow my room was not ready at 5 PM. I was not the only guest in the lobby experiencing this problem. The staff at the desk told us to wait 15 minutes and the room would be ready. After 20 minutes, the room was still not ready. It's now 2.5 hours past check in time. The man at the desk then told us we would need to wait an additional 45 minutes for the room and yelled at us that we should be more patient. When I expressed this was unacceptable, he again yelled that I should be more patient because they had a high turnover rate and "these things happen." I said this was not my problem and that if a room is booked for a 3 PM check in, it should be ready for a guest and poor management should not be blamed on me. He again yelled I need to be patient. So incredibly rude and unprofessional. The other staff members at the desk were completely unhelpful and acted like I quite literally did not exist. They offered no compensation for the ridiculous wait. Stay literally anywhere else!

Yelp
What a cute little posh spot! The rooms are dated but I guess that is the look they are going for? Who knows? Drunken nights? Yep, the nice bar will have ya booking a room. The food is mediocre. I found it odd that the bar tenders would speak in Spanish to each other but in English to me. I try to use Spanish when I'm out if I can. Bartenders could be better.

Yelp
Comfy & Hip! I stayed two nights and my room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. I love the antique fixtures and complimentary eco-friendly water. I didn't hear the loud action at night from my room. The hotel has a nice rooftop, 24-Hour fitness center, free WiFi, pet friendly, and on-site parking and valet. Shout-out to Rachel, on-site manager, who went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing experience. She was welcoming and accommodating, allowing me to move to a different room away from the stairs. It was a lovely stay and I highly recommend The LINE.

Yelp
truly terrible customer service from both the front desk and management; hotel operates like a second rate motel. you'll see many online reviews confirming that the hotel is fine until you have an issue, and then you're out of luck.

Yelp
I will preface by saying the food was INCREDIBLE and was one of my favorite meals I've had so far in 2024. My only complaint is that the restaurant allows people who are working virtually to keep working on their laptops throughout the dinner hour. The last thing I want to hear while enjoying a delicious meal and cocktail is the sound of pings on TEAMS! I understand allowing people to work during working hours, but during dinner time there should not be any people on laptops allowed - totally ruined the ambiance for me. I would still come back because of how great my meal was, but some rules can be put in place on people being allowed to sit and work on their laptop while there are diners sitting at the next table over trying to enjoy dinner.

Yelp
Do not stay here!!! They charged me for an extra night. This happened 2 weeks after I checked out. They admitted that my reservation was accidentally extended by someone at the front desk (more than 20 hours after I had checked out) but they refused to give me my money back. I had to keep calling for a week and they finally said they would fix it but I still haven't received my refund. I wasted so much time trying to get their mistake fixed. Mistakes happen, but refusing to fix it is completely unacceptable!! I do NOT recommend this hotel. If you do stay here, check your credit card statement!

Yelp
I really expected more from this place. Given that it's in one of the most beautiful venues in town, I wanted to have a relaxed, chill place to grab a couple cocktails outside the craziness of AdMo. The drinks here are fine, but we were rushed by the server who pushed us when we were barely a couple sips into our cocktails. Last call is surprisingly early too. Overall, a 5/5 for venue, 3/5 for service, 4/5 for drinks (great but nothing too special).
