AngloThai x Outcrop - Review - London - The Infatuation

"After hugely successful pop-ups in Clapham and at Newcomer Wines in Dalston, as well as a Thai sausage hot dog meal kit that flew off the proverbial shelves, AngloThai are opening their first permanent restaurant. Husband and wife team John and Desiree Chantarasak will continue to combine the best British produce with northern Thai flavours. The location will be in central somewhere, but, for now, it’s TBC. Until then try: Singburi, Kiln We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"There are more must-see shows around town. Among them: “Lux” at 180 Studios, 180 The Strand—the Brutalist landmark turned contemporary cultural hub—is staging large-scale and immersive new-media installations by artists such as Es Devlin, Carsten Nicolai, and Hito Steyerl (October 13–December 18)."

Always an interesting exhibition. Mind a few things: it is in a basement, so it quite cold there, the entrance is from a side, not from the address of 180 Studios as it appears on maps. There is no place for dropping a bag when visiting. The exhibitions are usually superb but for the operative discomfort, taking one star down.

I was installing light art features for the Universal Brits Awards after party event, helping to turn this lovely studio space into a Nightclub style event for the stars to enjoy.

Wow, this is some expo, so much to take in, so much to see and really interesting big party of the British musical identity. We went from room to room and really enjoyed the ride. Highly recommended for us musical geeks!

Went to see the Wes Anderson exhibitions 'Android City' at 180 Studios, first time I'd every been here. Loved the exhibition. Loved the venue. Was easy to get to from Victoria, nice walk through St. James Park and you're there. Lots of amenities in the area so you want for nothing. Don't think they could have picked a better venue to show it in. Nice and airy, good volume of people allowed in at one time, so made it easy to see everything. The staff were lovely - knowledgeable about the exhibition, friendly and helpful. What's not to like. It's now on my list to check to see what's on there next time I'm in London.

Gucci Cosmos exhibition I would have liked to see a lot more fashion items. They had a lot of bags and suitcases. Not enough clothes and dresses in my opinion. The room with the closet that rotates and the draws come in and out at different times is impressive. It's worth going just for that room. Feels like the exhibition producers were more focused on the technology elements rather than the fashion items and having as many clothes as possible. Maybe I'm just comparing it too much with the Dior exhibition at the V&A which was incredible, a lot of rooms with a lot of dresses.

Superb exhibition of light and sound. Sensory stimulating and rather intimate. I think everyone who appreciates audiovisual effects and art should pay a visit. Great lounge in the waiting area. Very good coffee. Clean toilets. Overall it was an amazing experience and I’d greatly recommend it to all.
