This Is the Coolest Street in the World, According to Time Out

The 33 Best Restaurants In Melbourne 2023

"A night out at 1800 Lasagne is a guaranteed good time. The joyful Italian restaurant started out as a delivery service only for those in the know, run out of an old Holden hatchback. The candle-lit, brick-and-mortar version adds romance and nostalgia to the mix with brick archways, checkered tablecloths, and some of Melbourne’s best DJs on record duty. The pork-and-beef lasagne is big on silky bechamel, and there’s an eggplant option for vegetarians. There’s no shortage of amaro, chianti, or prosecco either. If it’s drinkable, delicious, and Italian, you’ll likely find it here." - ellen fraser

Ordered the garlic bread and lasagne which was soooo good! Honestly best garlic bread! Also ordered the tiramisu for take away, honestly I’ve had better tiramisu but I get tiramisu so often they had tough competition. The waitress the night we were there was so friendly and service was prompt. Enjoyed the atmosphere also. Would come back here when in the area!

A great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon with live Jazz from 4.30pm that comes with delicious food and drinks including mocktails. Really sorry to hear 1800 Lasagna is closing. What a loss! Signature dish of meat lasagne and garlic bread didn’t disappoint nor did the exceptional service. The dark chocolate gelato topped with raspberries and pistachios was a delightful way to finish off the meal. Thank you to the team including front and back of house staff. We’ll be back to try the other dishes soon. From the other tables they looked just fab.

Best lasagna and Tiramisu in Melbourne by far! Consistent quality with fantastic service and friendly staff. A regular treat for us and our friends.

Spacious appealing setting serving absolute divine lasagne of both meat and eggplant varieties. Tiramasu was a perfect finale. Extensive drinks menu with plenty of interesting options.

Amazing! Best garlic bread ever. Meals felt cozy and homey. Would definitely come back. There was no bad dish.

3.5 stars. The lasagna is good as it comes with a crispy layer, which is the height of lasagna land. However, I wish some layers inside or the sides had some crispy edges going on. The pork and beef sauce is good. Overall a good meal and a nice lasagna. I wish someone would ask me what I thought at some point during my meal. I ate at 4pm, so the place wasn't busy with customers.

Everything I’ve tried from here is amazing, special mention to their simple pasta Napoli, seems like one of the only places in Melbourne who does it right. Best atmosphere as well and great cocktails. Always look forward to coming here!!! ✨

The food here is just superb, and I'm not ashamed to admit that we ordered another garlic bread for dessert it was that amazing. But the service was next-level and deserving of a sixth star. We were so well looked after and watching the team work and keep everything humming was spectacular. Really well done you champions.
