Yelp
Checking my inbox periodically to see what's good from my Yelpers, and I see a Dozzy hit me up, like yo check me out! Real talk Dozzy, your name alone; you had my full attention!
CONTEXT: Friday night, DoorDash Pass this time; if you haven't, look into it, it could be worth your while if you order frequently.
WHAT I GRABBED:
(x2) Shrimp Suya Dinner w/ Jollof & fried plantains
Red Red Brunch Bowl
Chocolate Cake
Shrimp Suya Dinner - Six shrimp but they tasty af for the sawbuck (IYKYK). These were popular, and I get why. It held its own, not a bad combo with the Jollof (subtle spicy Nigerian style Jollof), and plantains were good. I only specify the style of Jollof because my girl is Ghanaian; again, IYKYK.
Red Red Brunch Bowl - I only tasted this one (good!), but it received two thumbs up from my girl.
Chocolate Cake - Y'all knew I had to try it, not go lie, Dozzy, I was scared. I'm a Portillos fan, but on my KIDSSSS, this cake can hold its own! (FYI, I don't have kids)
Dozzys Grill has something special here, and I'm excited to see how they do! I was disappointed the Goat sliders were sold out, but man, I get it; they Goat Sliders! Looking forward to trying them.
Dope experience, Dozzy; thanks for being confident and reaching out. That doesn't always go well, lol. Yelpers, think this place is worth a try, and please support our restaurants, especially Black Owned!
COMMENDS: Unique spin on Nigerian favorites, options, combos
RECOMMENDS: Egushi dish coming soon!?
OVERALL:/VALUE: 4.5/5 for now, FIVE for the culture, specifically the Shrimp Suya Dinner for $10, if you don't like this dish, this place might not be for you. It's six shrimp, but with the Jollof and plantains, it can be filling.
WHAT I'M VOUCHING FOR:
Shrimp Suya Dinner
Chocolate Cake
Until next time Yelpers, LOVE, LIVE, and EAT!
