1887 Restaurant

This is a very very accomplished restaurant offering fine dining at the Highlands with the freshest local ingredients. It is without a doubt on its way to achieving a Michelin star. The cooking was excellent, the presentation of the dishes were brilliant. Situated in the 5 star Torridon hotel, it acts a perfect ground for culinary excellence. A tasting menu costs £130+ per person. This is expected at this level of cooking. For a more easy going meal please refer to the hotel's other restaurant at the Stables. Overall, it is 5 stars for showcasing high quality fine dining and service.

We had a lovely dinner on the last night of our stay at the Torridon. Each course got better and better with a fantastic couple of desserts! The wine pairing was enthusiastically delivered by Oliver who kept us entertained and informed

I had a great dinner at this restaurant.The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce tasted fresh and flavorful.The staff were friendly and attentive without being over being. I loved the cozy atmosphere and perfect for a relaxed evening. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I would definitely recommend this spot for food and relaxing vibes. Thanks.

Visited this restaurant recently, had an amazing time, from the minute we got there, we felt looked after, the staff were excellent, couldn't be more helpful, and the food, well that was just out of this world. Would highly recommend, definitely looking forward to next time.

A Culinary Gem in the Highlands – 1887 at The Torridon - Perhaps the one of the best you will eat in Scotland Just finished the 8-course vegetarian tasting menu at 1887, and it was easily the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was thoughtful, creative, and beautifully balanced. Chef Danny’s passion and precision truly shine through. The setting is stunning, the service impeccable, and the ingredients—many from their own garden—add a unique local touch. While they’ve been mentioned in the Michelin Guide, I genuinely believe they deserve a star. A remarkable experience from start to finish.
