Where to Eat at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) | Eater Carolinas

"A modern market and restaurant hybrid filled with culinary novelties and gift items—think DIY cocktail kits and gourmet nuts—making it a pleasant place to browse or shop while waiting for a flight. The in-house restaurant serves a varied menu that includes wood-fired pizzas, shrimp and grits, and fresh oysters." - Erin Perkins

Did lunch here at 12:30 on a Sunday, and was seated after a 5 minute wait as the check in desk. Waiter came to my table fairly quickly, and my drink arrived about 5 minutes after ordering, with food following about 10 minutes later. Had the chicken sandwich and it was quite solid. The sweet chili sauce had a great balance. The fries were well seasoned. Overall it was decent for airport food, and I would recommend.

Google
The food here was a mix of positives and negatives. Service was quite slow, and unfortunately the table wasn’t cleaned properly when we sat down, which made the experience less enjoyable. On the bright side, the burger and salad were good.

I feel like with airport restaurants, you go in knowing that a 5 star restaurant is a 3 outside of an airport. Similar to everyone else's reviews, I was waiting for a table (when there were many available). It seemed more than a little disorganized for a restaurant, especially one in an airport. You've got to have those running tight. Luckily, my waiter was cool. This doesn't seem to be a common trend based on the reviews. I got my burger and fries in no time. The only negative is there was no sauce left, you can see what was left is in the cup. Thats all they had. For airport food, it was solid.

Google
Have to give a lower rating than the overall rating of this CLT airport dining spot. Service and food average. Waitress responded and brought fresh out food after delay in getting lunch. Bloody Marty was sweet, but good! Fried chicken and burger were just OK. Decent place where there are few options.

I stopped by 1987 Market before heading home, and unfortunately, my experience with the food wasn’t very good. I ordered the pork chunk, and while the pork itself was excellent—tender and flavorful—the grits that came with it were bland and lacked taste. On top of that, the Brussels sprouts were burnt, overly acidic, and didn’t provide any real contrast, which I didn’t enjoy at all. The only highlight for me was the pork, though I also think the gravy could use more flavor. Overall, I wouldn’t come back to eat here. That being said, Rachel’s service was outstanding. She was very attentive and treated me extremely well, and I truly appreciated that. The place itself is fine, but unfortunately, the food experience just wasn’t good enough for me to want to return.

Google
As you expect (and what I still do not understand) airport pricing is ridiculous. This will have me start fasting during travel days because the service is always poor. Generally not due to the server themselves but the lack of care the resturant has as a whole. Menus were barely readable in some portions, tap water tasted bad (not the worst I had....cough....cough...Folrida), drinks were at least $7 over priced...a single drink with alcohol should not be more than over half the menu....and the food items were over priced by at least $5. I asked for a military discount and they applied it to my bill...but I was forced to pay my bill using the QR code which was not reflecting the discount...so I wrote the checkout company as this is their fault not the resturant. The food was average, nothing special, it wasn't to die for, it was....food. I had gotten the brisket mac n cheese, because you know im I NC. Honestly, I would just pray you dont have any layovers and just eat st your destination, fast if you must. It was $55 for 1 drink and 1 entrée for 1 person.

Google
Excellent food and great service. The ratings honestly don’t do this place justice. I had the classic burger and it was exactly what a classic burger should be. Simple, flavorful, and done right. Fries were perfect. Would definitely come back next time I’m traveling into this airport.

Google
Chicken in waffle was amazing. The best iv had. The couple my wife and I were with got the cheesy grits and they raved about them also. Very happy with the location selection for breakfast.

Yelp
Great service and a nice breakfast! Had a bit of a layover so opted for a sit-down breakfast. Lots of options in Charlotte's airport, and I fly through Charlotte a good bit so wanted to try something different. Found 1897 on Yelp, read some reviews and made my way to the restaurant. I ordered a mimosa and a mushroom and spinach omelette but substituted the home fries for sausage. The mushrooms were so good. I didn't eat the entire omelette but dug through to make sure I got all the mushrooms. The sausage was like smoked sausage and not breakfast sausage. I ate about half of it. Everything was good. I made a point of telling the kitchen staff my breakfast was great. Bet they don't get much praise but they deserve it. Nice job, kitchen staff!

Yelp
Airport food. Not great. Ordered a Coke Zero and the syrup or something was off, color and taste were not right. We asked for a Diet Coke instead and the server gave us a new one. The burger was alright, messy and could have used a sauce. The waffle fries were good, crispy. Our server was nice!

Yelp
I wish I had gone off the Yelp reviews. I looked at the Google reviews and decided they looked decent (for airport food) so I stopped here for dinner while I was on a layover. The first sign something was off is that they ask you to wait to be seated and it took several minutes for the single server to seat me. I was patient, I know things get busy. But, there were about 4 tables total in the restaurant. It turns out, the server was just moving painfully slow. Then, when he did seat me, it was sassy. I ordered a wedge salad minus the bacon, which was $17 without tax. Pricey, but that's airport food for you. The interior is nice, but honestly it's a little confusing that they make you be seated but then also a QR code ordering option or table service. My food came out quickly, which was a big benefit. The restaurant looks a little upscale but the food quality was super basic. The salad said it had blue cheese but it was like one or two crumbles, and it came confusingly with shredded cheddar mostly. Average ranch. The food was ok but really not exceptional and not worth the price tag. The thing that really made this experience negative was the aggressively apathetic service. The waiter had resting IDGAF face. Also, I saw him wander by and see that my plate was empty and then proceed to disappear to a different part of the restaurant for at least five minutes. He regularly disappeared, didn't check on the tables. What if I did have a flight to catch? Even though my layover was long ... my time is still valuable and I could've spent it doing something else. Also, it's just the principle that he chose to ignore me. Several other staff members were walking nearby and not one of them even offered to grab my plate. I was a server for several years so I am extremely sympathetic when restaurants are busy or someone's having a hard day, but I'm also well aware of when servers are openly hostile or just don't care about their job or their customers. I get not being thrilled about your job but don't take it out on the customers. Seriously, at least fake it. Honestly, just skip it and grab fast food or a to-go option. Will still probably be overpriced but at least you won't have to deal with avoidance and attitude.

Yelp
My friend and I were stuck at the airport during our layover due to weather-related flight delays. The airline gave us each vouchers to use towards a meal purchase so we decided to dine here. We wanted somewhere were we could sit down and secure our bags and carry-ons and this place was about the best that we could do. There was no wait. Although the place was quite busy, the Hostess sat us right away and our Server came about 5 minutes later to take our drink orders. Eventually, we were ready to order. I decided to go with a bun less burger that came with fries. It was decent and very expensive considering that it was airport food. My voucher may have covered 60 percent of the bill. I have no complaints regarding the service received. The Hostess and Server were friendly and polite. With that many customers it wasn't quiet but it was not annoying loud either. It was a good place to relax and eating, especially since we had a wait of at least 5 hours. I'd probably come back if I have the misfortune of another long lay over - maybe.

Yelp
1897 Market is located in the Charlotte Douglas Intl. Airport (CLT). I grabbed some water, a diet coke, and packaged snacks from the "grab and go" market area. Quick and easy. Service was friendly. I didn't have time to dine in so went with quick and easy.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
I stopped by here on a layover and had a Brooklyn Bomber pizza. It took about 10 minutes for them to warm it up in the oven, but it was pretty good. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but it hit the spot. They have a big selection of menu options, but not everything is always available. The food was good enough that I'd stop here again the next time I'm at the CLT airport.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
The only thing worse than the service was the food. It wasn't busy when we were there but it still took 20+ minutes for chicken and waffles. Chicken is a mix of brown and white meat and has an odd flavor. The coffee was luke warm at best. The drinks were $21.00 each for a mimosa.
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
For an airport establishment I immensely enjoyed my breakfast at 1897 Market. The omelet was size-able and tasty while the grits hit the spot. Not a 5 star dining experience but you shouldn't expect that. Quick in and out and that is also key. No quarrels.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Made a quick stop for lunch before our next flight. We ordered the cheese burger and the wedge salad. I thought the food was just okay. Nothing really special. Our beers were refreshing though.
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
Another layover and another airport restaurant. This was pretty good. Service was quick and refreshing. Especially from the ambiance of travelers rushing to catch their flights. My burger and hazy was an added delight. If passing through Charlotte airport be sure to give 1897 a chance.
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
We had a layover at the Charlotte airport, so we decided to try 1897 Market. We shared the 1897 burger, and fries which was just meh. The drinks and service were good, and they even had a place for you to charge your devices right at your table.

David S.

Yelp
Nastiness everywhere in that place from the hostess to the useless , rude waiters/waitresses standing around doing nothing. We left and went somewhere else. Just a negative vibe throughout that place.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
There's not much to choose from in the Charlotte Airport, especially if your leaving early in the morning. the 1897 Market is one of the few options available. I'm not inferring that is is a good option, but it was open, and thus the defacto choice. We've eaten here many times on our way to or back from Curacao. We've tried eggs, pizza, burgers and more. They have both table service and self service sections. The food is okay for an airport, but not nearly as good as Legal Seafood for example. That said, if you're connecting at 8pm, this might be one of the best options available.
google avatar

Mike A.

Yelp
I stopped by and got a soda and a grilled three cheese and tomatoe panini. As you'd expect st an airport it was quite pricey. The sandwich was toasted up as I was paying for the soda and the sandwich, so it was nice and hot. Well, warm anyway by the time I got around to eating it but that's on me, not the restaurant. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and courteous which you don't always get at an airport so that was nice. The bread was good and it had a nice amount of cheese. I was expecting tomato slices but it was more like a marinara or pizza sauce inside the grilled cheese which was a bit unexpected.
google avatar

Naomi C.

Yelp
Not only did a roach crawl across the bar while we were waiting on our food, the bartender didn't know how to make a michelada. The chicken we ordered was undercooked, the calamari was extra chewy and the server didn't apologize for the roach that we had to kill with a ketchup bottle. Not to mention everything is about $20. Beware!!!
google avatar

Jim N.

Yelp
Have to concur with the overall rating of this CLT airport dining spot. Service and food average. Waitress responded and brought fresh out food after delay in getting lunch. Bloody Marty was sweet, but good! Fried chicken and burger were just OK. Decent place where there are few options.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
This is a nice restaurant at the CLT airport near the B Concourse. Our server was Panhia and she was great!! Very friendly and patient. The food was really good if you can get past the airport prices $$. The Brussel Sprouts were amazing!!!!! I'd definitely order them again.
google avatar

Gardner S.

Yelp
Chewiest fried chicken breasts ever? Maybe. Tiniest sampling of cole slaw too? Yep. Mashed pots deliver butter, so yum. Kindly, waiter brought more hot sauce to ease meal along. Maybe try the shrimp with grits.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Rude bartender with terrible service. Ignored us multiple times and when we asked for more juice, we were told it would need vodka added. Made it very clear we weren't important because we weren't ordering alcohol at 7am. Unprofessional and unwelcoming experience.
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
Great place to get some delicious breakfast in between flights. I was craving oatmeal, and, boy, did I get some delicious steel-cut oatmeal! Served in a jar, beautifully dressed with chopped strawberries, maple syrup and brown sugar. My husband loved his order of grits with a lovely friend egg. Friendly service. Nice layout, clean.
google avatar

Yelp
we had what turned out to be a 2+ hour layover in Charlotte and had lunch at 1897 Market. Danielle didn't really get anything out of the ordinary (chicken sandwich) but i had the Uptown Burger and it was incredible. i will definitely be dreaming of it for a long time to come.
google avatar

Yelp
Am sad to have to update my five star review but I've been here twice in the past six weeks and both times have had really pathetic experiences with the hostess stand personnel. Zero energy. I stood in front of the young lady today for a good little while with zero acknowledgment and when she did finally decide to acknowledge my presence it was a lackluster and you-are-bothering-me vibe. Not at all welcoming. When she finally decided it was okay to seat me she dropped the menu on the table and walked away. I then witnessed the same interaction over and over with every customer after me. To the management of this establishment, you've got a service issue.
google avatar

Alan B.

Yelp
I wanted to try this place because the airport map states it was featured on food network. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. You can scan QR code or wait for the server, probably faster to scan. I ordered Steak Frites (probably misspelled) I requested the steak be cooked "Medium", and I also got a sweet tea. This place was very busy. My food took about 30mins. My steak was overly well done, to the point that the meat was completely dried out. The only way I could eat it was to dip it in the gravy. I also saw my plate had a chip in it.. not really safe for someone if they had kids, the chipped part was quite sharp. I could have said something, but I was really hungry and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes, for a chance of it being corrected or not. The French fries were not great, like no flavor on them, even though they looked covered in Parmesan. I seen a few other people order food and when their food came out, they didn't have any silverware to eat it with, which took almost 5 mins for that to be delivered. Either they're under staffed or under trained. I'm going to assume under trained, because I did see someone that looked to be a manager, doing bare minimum to help out behind the cooking area. When it came time to try to get my check, it took me about 10 minutes to get someone's attention. The staff were very polite, just really slow. If you're on a time crunch, I don't recommend this place. I was quite disappointed, and won't try it again.
google avatar

Sean L.

Yelp
Pizza was pretty good for what it was - precooked and reheated in the pizza oven, much like Sabarro at the mall. Definitely a difference between their sit down service and walk up. I had time to sit down but couldn't find the entrance. Seating was limited for walkups with the tables marked as "do not sit" for the walk ups. That was frustrating.

Brian B.

Yelp
I ordered the Airline Chicken. Came with glazed carrots and potatoes as it was supposed to but the chicken was not only cold, it was pink. I told the waiter, he asked me to put it in a bowl. He came back just a couple of minutes later with a steaming hot chicken in the same bowl. I'm assuming it was microwaved. Even if it happened to be another chicken, doubtful but even if, I was too grossed out to eat it. Just had the veggies.
google avatar

Stephanie I.

Yelp
Came for breakfast before my flight. I wanted a big meal that was fresh cooked. The ambiance is really nice, it's very nicely decorated. The menu is decent wide for breakfast. After 10am the menu is much larger. Good came out fast. I got the breakfast My bread was ok, 3 half slices (so odd why not 4? Or just give 2?), but it was chewy. The eggs and potatoes were ok. No onions- that would be nice in the potatoes.. the sausage was very flavorful however I could not cut it. The knife is dull and the link casing was so thick I couldn't even chew it. It was frustrating. The coffee was decent. Good for sit down breakfast and service to you, but the food was decent. $23 for my breakfast
google avatar

Sophie S.

Yelp
The place looked cool so I decided to go during my layover. Usually all restaurants in airports are quick but it took almost 40 minutes for my food to come out. I ordered the grilled Caesar salad with chicken and it was absolutely disgusting. I took 2 bites and walked out. Not worth the wait or money.
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
BBQ Shrimp & Grits - NOT BBQ shrimp. Despite the cooks admitting to *not barbecuing* the shrimp, they still pass off as BBQ - because "sauce". Tomatoes & oil, lots of garlic, not a hint of bbq flavoring. It was a lie. Lies continue: receipt says contact through code below - there's NO CODE. Manager: "sorry ma'am, new system", another lie; and "use the code on table", just can't stop - code was for menu/payment, no contact/review whatsoever. Rude waitstaff.
google avatar

Yelp
I like to give places a couple of tries, especially in airports. This place, 1897 Market, might be the most disappointed I've ever been. From the unwelcoming, bored to be there, and unfriendly hostess to the piles of leftover food on tables after guests have left, I recommend you avoid 1897M. Even after repeatedly being friendly and pleasant, the employees don't give a hoot, which is not the word I wanted to use. The concept of a restaurant up front, and marketplace in the environment is very smart. However, it is clear that employees don't get any training on customer relations. Many of the charging stations, which would normally be an attractive option for a meal, don't work!! And many employees simply walk around, chit-chatting with other employees. This place could be so much more. Until someone who makes decisions gets a clue and offers some basic general manager training, this place will continue to fail to meet the low standard that even most of the other offerings in CLT airport sink down to. Overall, an embarrassment to the company. Avoid at all costs!

Yelp
This review is for the 1897 restaurant in the Charlotte airport. I had a 3 hour layover in CLT due to the global IT meltdown that impacted Microsoft Azure Cloud and therefore it's client airlines and banks etc. This was one of the 2 sit down options in my terminal, and I could swear this location was a TGI Friday's in a former life. I took a seat at the bar which had a few openings. Service was very slow despite 2 bartenders, it took me 12 minutes to get a drink, a simple bloody Mary ( asked for Tito's and watched the woman pour well vodka into drink anyways!) I was road weary and didn't feel like arguing. No water given, and my menu she handed me was so worn out, I couldn't read half the items front or back. She had to look though 6-7 menus before finding a legible one! I decided on a burger, the Southern Burger, medium. I had very low expectations for this $20 cheeseburger. Asked for Onion rings vs fries, and she stated the onion rings are not very good and I'd be disappointed. Hmm.. ok. Burger was mid at best. It was a frozen Sysco Foods patty cooked to medium. Fries were skinny and decent sprinkled with Parmesan, no truffle taste at all (most likely false advertising). Asked for water and got a glass of tap water from a tepid pitcher, no ice. I'll never eat here again or get a drink. It's wicked overpriced and people are shocked when they get the bill and see the drink Costs that aren't printed on the menus. Same trick the garbage restaurants on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach pull if you've ever been there. Skip this place, there's better options in the terminal and in other terminals if you have the time to get to one!

Yelp
It was fine for airport food if you want some healthier options with better quality than normal. Service was quick.

Yelp
Arrived here after a long delayed flight. Literally were traveling all day with no food because airlines do not feed you any more. It was evening perhaps 11:00 pm or close to it. Seated right away in a booth. I noticed the floors were quite dirty but it was late. When we were seated told by the waitress that the only thing we can get was burgers and fries. She said there's only one cook and "he's not gonna cook anything except burgers and fries". She literally tried to convince us to go to the Mexican restaurant on the other side of the plaza in the airport. So I asked if we could get onion rings instead of french fries and she says nope only burgers and fries. My mother has to have a gluten-free so we asked if we could have a burger with a lettuce wrap instead and she said no. But she would leave off the bun. Gee thanks. I ordered a beyond burger which is a vegetarian burger. So what do you suppose that the cook does? He turns it into a smash burger on the grill which all their burgers are smash burgers he smashed the absolute crap out of the burger to get it to cook in about two minutes. What did he do with my burger? He cooked my vegetarian burger in the meat grease from all the other burgers. When it came out it looked and smelled and tasted like an actual burger because it was full of meat grease. When I asked the wait if he had made me a regular burger or the beyond burger she said oh no that's the beyond burger and I said well how come it's greasy and she looks at me like I'm stupid and says it's from the grill. I know it was late and I know they didn't want to be there and they made it very obvious. My mom asked if she could get anything else besides french fries because their french fries are not gluten-free and the girl says no, so she literally brings my mom a piece of meat on a plate with a slice of tomato and one leaf of lettuce for the $20 that the burger cost. ridicuous. I had to go over the other side of the same market place and buy a fruit cup for another eight dollars. It's very unfortunate that Customer Service simply doesn't exist in this restaurant.

Yelp
This place just doesn't get it. It's a restaurant, and also several self service kiosks, and also a couple of already prepared meal spots. Prices are OK for an airport, and the food isn't bad. But, really, there's no signage on where to eat. So, if you buy a sandwich, and go sit down, you're supposed to sit only in one section, a set of high top tables in the middle of the restaurant. No signs. But, in the middle of my 14.99 box salad, the server comes up to ask "do you know you're not supposed to eat there?". Well, if there had been a sign, or if the cashier had told me, I would know that. Instead, they stand, waiting for you to move. An airport is the last place to object or have a discussion about lack of signs, so, you're left to just, you know, move on. Clearly, they can do better. The airport has lots of other pretty good options, I'd suggest choosing some place else.

Charlisha G.

Yelp
My child and I stopped by 1897 Market for a quick lunch en route to Memphis. The host wasn't at the desk and it was confusing were to go to be seated. We were seated promptly by the host after figuring out where the host stand was. Our server was efficient in taking our order. Opting for cheese pizza and BBQ shrimp and grits, I requested an extra side of shrimp due to the small portion. The initial shrimps were lacking, only six tiny pieces smh lol. I enjoyed a tasty lemon drop with Belvedere vodka. The fresh, flavorful pizza arrived hot, while the shrimp and grits exceeded expectations in taste and portion size. The cozy seating area was comfortable, though the temperature was chilly, typical for an airport setting.

Yelp
Was looking for a sandwich to take on my flight Their deli case sandwiches looked like they got hit by a truck

Leilianna S.

Yelp
They need to improve on their espresso martinis, $21 for the worst espresso martini I've seen and had. It taste like cheap chocolate cake. But other than that the servers were nice and the food LOOKED good.

Yelp
**AVOID THIS PLACE** The service was painfully slow, and the staff was even worse. I should have taken the hint from the previous guest's receipt left on my table--with a $0 tip. Benny didn't care and it showed. Save yourself the disappointment and eat elsewhere.
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
The last 3 times I past through the airport. I tried to eat here. Stood at the front endlessly while every staff member just ignores us. It's unbelievable. I have a sense they just don't want too many customers. The place is about 25% full only today. I hope the owners/offsite managers read this. Your staff need a good shake up. Even shouted goodbye as I walked away. No reaction.
google avatar

Brittney N.

Yelp
Ordered the steak salad for lunch. It was surprisingly better than what I was expecting! The steak was medium well but I didn't have high expectations. My waiter was also very nice
google avatar

Zion H.

Yelp
The food was pretty good quality, I had the Philly which came on ciabatta which was odd but still good flavor and fries were decent as well. The service though kind was very slow and if you have a quickish layover I would not recommend sitting down here. I was just one person and it took almost an hour and a half for the entire process. Near the aviary and a good place to hangout and enjoy a part of the airport that is light and airy.

Cindy G.

Yelp
Service was great, food was not. The brisket in my Southern Philly was very salty, and dry except for a huge chunk of gristle. No sign of cheese on the sandwich. The fries were lukewarm.
google avatar

Yuki M.

Yelp
I ordered a Steakhouse Blue salad. To be honest, it was not good at all. The steak and fried onions are already cold when it was served. Even I wondered if it was already premade? I should have ordered the salmon salad instead (the salmon salad's reviews were pretty good), or even burgers or something else. Just stay away from the steak salad. It doesn't worth $20+. Also, don't expect any service other than getting what you order.
google avatar

Bruce H.

Yelp
I sat down at the bar at about 1230 on a Thursday afternoon. There were three people working at the bar after I waited 15 minutes for someone to take my order or to just simply acknowledge my existence. I got up and left.

Discerning B.

Yelp
Overpriced to the max. A total ripoff $18 for a 9 oz house wine. Food also overpriced and very average. DONT GO THERE
google avatar

Rahiem B.

Yelp
Oh, where do I begin with my delightful misadventure at this restaurant? Picture this: I plop myself down at the bar, eagerly anticipating a culinary experience that would make my taste buds dance. Instead, I was greeted by the waitress/bartender, who seemed to be auditioning for the role of "Most Unbothered Server of the Year." As I settled in, she handed the person next to me a drink with such grace that I thought a royal decree was about to be read. I thought, "Fantastic! She'll be over here in a jiffy!" But alas, my optimism was met with a glass that could only be described as a relic from the last guest and a signed receipt--because nothing says "welcome" like a piece of paper with someone else's name on it, right? Fifteen minutes went by, and I found myself in a riveting game of "Count the Glasses" as she stacked and cleaned like it was the Olympic sport of the century. Finally, I decided it was time to break the ice and waved her down. I kindly pointed out that I was, in fact, not part of the glassware collection and requested a menu. Her response? A delightful attitude that could curdle milk. She handed me a menu as if it were a hot potato and I asked for a vodka lemonade. She must've thought I was ordering a unicorn, as she neglected to inquire about the vodka type. Imagine my surprise when I overheard her telling her co-worker that I was "rushing" her. Rushing? Sweetheart, I was merely attempting to survive in this desert of neglect! The patrons on either side of me promptly chimed in, confirming that I was not, in fact, the lone wolf in this wilderness of poor service. When my drink finally arrived, it was in a tall glass and tasted like a sad attempt at mixology. After two sips, I decided my taste buds deserved better than this liquid regret, so I moved on to the Parmesan fries, which, surprisingly, were a triumph! Kudos to the cook--clearly, someone in this establishment knows what they're doing. As I nibbled on my fries, a fellow diner was calling for their child, only to be met with the other bartender's unsolicited "Shut up." Ah yes, nothing screams "welcome to a fine dining experience" like a random outburst of rudeness in front of a crowd. In conclusion, as a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say this was the worst airport dining experience I've ever endured. From ill-fitting uniforms to a front-end staff that could use a lesson in basic hospitality, I implore anyone passing through Charlotte airport to steer clear of this culinary catastrophe. Save yourself! Your taste buds and sanity will thank you!

Yelp
Pizza was horrible. Was just stale bread and cheese with no sauce. Two slices were just bread. The table beside me had the same experience and after mentioning it to the server, they comped the meal. But was too late to get more food before our flight as it takes forever to order and be served. It shouldn't have been served to begin with.

Yelp
A pretty epic sandwich! Whenever I'm in North Carolina, I like to make sure I get some pimiento cheese. This time I had to wait until I got to the airport, but it was worth it. I had a chicken sandwich with sliced pickles and pimento cheese here that I'd go back for. Also, they served their wine and nice glasses. Upscale airport fare.

Yelp
It's a step up from standard airport food with large TVs around and plenty of seating. This is one of those places that I like, for an airport. The service is above average and the bartender was friendly and amiable. The menu is focused on pub foods; burgers, salads, a chicken sandwich. Nothing you're going to be surprised by. Well-executed though! Beer is at least $10 a glass and the food is average even for the outside.

Yelp
Kelsie was amazing, and the chef special pizza was good!. This place saved our first impression of the food service in CLT!
