If Black Lives Matter, why are we still ignored at the bar? This is the bar located in the Westin Seattle on 5th Avenue.
Arrived on a Saturday just after 5:30 PM to meet friends. Sat at the bar, literally was ignored by the two bartenders for 20 minutes; one of them a female with pink hair. I wasn't greeted, was an asked if I wanted something to drink or anything. even the friend who I met there was trying to get their attention for me since they had already been served but I had wanted some thing.
Finally, I was able to order and this is the first time in my life when my club sofa drink wasn't poured for me but the entire bottle and a glass were handed to me, in order to pour it myself. I'm not used to that being from Scottsdale where we are given white glove service.
The third thing that happened while I was there, some guy named Matthew brought out some clean glasses for the back and was delivering them to the bar. He was standing there for a good long time. I tried three and four times to get his attention before I had to yell his name out loud to get his attention and finally I was able to ask him for what I needed. Everybody looked at me like I was the one who is crazy and I wasn't even drinking alcohol, just trying to project my voice at that time.
I swear if you could've seen it, he was intentionally ignoring me because I was literally sitting in front of him waving and saying, "excuse me, excuse me, excuse me " before yelling his name.
This place is absolutely bizarre, unprofessional, and I'll never go back. Neither will my 3 friends.
