After a day exploring the Cascades, the food and drinks here absolutely hit the spot. The cocktails were fantastic. My rye whiskey drink was on point. The BBQ was just right. Pulled pork sandwich was moist and delicious. Turkey plate was huge. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

After spending a couple days in Kalispell we stopped in Twisp on our way to North Cascades National Park. After checking the local eateries on google we decided on 1908. This bar and bbq joint has a fun atmosphere and a chill vibe. We actually had to flag down a waitress because we sat at the window tables out of her view. Once we ordered we had to wait about 30 min for our sampler platter for 2 to arrive. I think we came in after a large group of rafters. 🤷🏼‍♀️ At first glance the platter looks a little skimpy on meats but once you start eating you realize just how filling it all is. The meat was pretty good. I liked the pulled pork the best. I’m not a huge bbq sauce fan so I think the meat was lacking in flavor because of that. Eventually I tried some sauce on it because of the flavor reason. I have to say, however, that the potato salad and coleslaw were the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. They were delicious! The Mac n cheese was yummy too. And the pickles were crisp. Love! 😍 The Texas toast left a little to be desired. Oh well. I’m not a huge bbq fan I guess. Matt makes amazing ribs and steak so I guess I’m spoiled at home. ❤️ All in all it was a great dinner! I’m excited to try the jumbo rice crispy treat w/ brown butter and sea salt. 😁

Great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly. The drinks and appetizers were amazing! We had the shotgun shells and corn bread w/ honey butter. The actual BBQ was good but not great. Now, the drinks are where it's at! I had the Fiery Rye Smoked Old Fashioned and my wife had the Paloma. Both were AMAZING!

This place is a must stop! Awesome food, service, atmosphere and hospitality. Cowboy sushi is amazingly different and fabulous. Brisket is super tender and flavorful. Portions are large, staff is beyond friendly and attentive. Hot totty and old fashions were made perfectly, and has a large selection of alcohol brand choices. Don't miss out on visiting here!

Texas Reuben - brisket, rye bread and cheese along with excellent 0,0 IPA. Big and tasty dessert brownie. Simple and good! Served in a most friendly manner by Kansas-born lady. Her cozy style and warm southern drawl made a globetrotter feel welcome and at home. A service this good is a rare treat these days.

The food was fantastic, the iced tea was great and the service was really good.

We walked along Glover Street and chose 1908 BBQ because it seemed the most welcoming. All the BBQ meat options contained just a bit too much meat. I ended up choosing 1/2lb brisket even though 1/4lb would have been perfect. My partner chose Pulled Jackfruit and really enjoyed it. The brisket was very tender and not smothered in sauce. I enjoyed the potato salad and coleslaw as well. We like this place.

Google
What an absolutely amazing time! Rented out the venue for a family event. All the staff was polite, courteous, efficient, helpful, funny, engaging, and everything you want from someone handling a group. The food was spectacular. Brisket was juicy, pulled pork want dry, and also not swimming in juices which makes your bun fall apart, Mac salad to die for, and the dill in the potato salad was heavenly. Even the coleslaw, which was only the second time in my life where it wasn't runny! Bourbons galore. A can't miss experience if you're even near Twisp.

Yelp
What a great place. The food was delicious (I got the brisket plate) and I had an old fashioned which was also amazing. The service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
I know not everyone likes their ribs falling off the bone, but I do, and these were kind of tough. This place just didn't really hit for me. The bartender was nice and the drinks were good, though.

Yelp
Fabulous bbq place in Twisp. Classy and fun atmosphere, brick and wood. Staff super friendly and chill. Everything ordered here has been bomb. Appetizers are unusual but good as hell. Plain old bbq meat damn good, lots of great sauces. This place is worth coming out of your way for.

Yelp
We were staying at nearby Sun Mountain Lodge and a friend had told me to try this nice little small town BBQ restaurant in Twisp. We found the restaurant beautifully decorated and cozy, and were greeted and promptly seated. After very tasty cocktails we went with the Pitmaster Platter both of us. Everything was very tasty well prepared. Service was very friendly and attentive also.

Yelp
Listen up, if you are going through Twisp and don't stop here, then im sure you have committed a felony. Food is amazing, sweet tea is delicious, and the service is on point.

Yelp
I came for some nourishment - a place I'd not been before - as I was passing through on the 20. I always like to try new places. Been traveling on 20 all my life. Decided to get my food to go since I had a good 4+ hours more driving in front of me. I chose one of their sandwiches. Took a while for someone to ask if they could help me. Took awhile to come out even though there was only one other table occupied. Was almost $25. Staff seemed like they were completely preoccupied and disinterested in me being there. I felt better eating in my car than the restaurant.

Yelp
Great attentive service - creative drink menu and good wine list. ribs were great and Reuben was spectacular. Dessert made everyone happy - banana cream cake was AMAZING. Would come back for this. the double chocolate brownie was a hit too! Great for families, groups - great ambiance and not too loud!

Yelp
This was our first visit into this fine establishment. We were greeted by one of the owners and we sat at the bar and ordered an "old fashioned" and a local brewery tap IPA. The special of the day and my pulled pork nachos were absolutely amazing and everything was fresh and prepared well. Their bbq is cooked fresh daily and they take pride in everything they put on the table. We had a lime tart for dessert and the tart was also perfect. The 1908 has taken an older building and has made it the highlight of downtown Glover Street. This is our new "go to" place in town. We recommend you stop and order up some Bourbon from their impressive list.

Yelp
I challenge anyone to find better in the Methow valley, very good food, creative specials, solid bar, good service, and a classy saloon ambiance. Bring friends, the portions are both delicious and huge. Desserts are house made and creative.

Yelp
Very nice service, delicious options and a nice decor/ambiance. Got the Cubano, Gyro, kids nachos with brisket (brisket is ). Would happily return.

Yelp
Great Ruben sandwich was full of tasty brisket the bread was nice a toasty the perfect combination. Staff was friendly and checked on us a couple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Was sad that I forgot the other half of my sandwich as I was looking forward to having it for dinner!

Yelp
Really super good and great ambiance! We got the sampler plate - yay for dill pickles! The potato salad was just like what I grew up with. The meat and sauces were on point.

Yelp
1908 Bourbon and BBQ catered my daughters wedding in Mazama. The food was absolutely delicious!! The smoked brisket was amazing, all the guests were raving about it. There was a small amount left over and it was gobbled up the next morning. Brisket on bagels. The BBQ Jerk Chicken was moist and so good especially with their golden BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was also fabulous. After the reception I walked into the kitchen to find a bunch of young adults having bowls of it for a midnight snack. I am not always a big fan of potato salad but theirs was really good, not heavy and a nice amount of dill. If you need an event catered I highly recommend this place. Now I just need to plan a trip to Twisp so I can go to their restaurant. Rachel R

Yelp
We came here for dinner with high hopes, we were treated by the friendly hostess and seated. Our waitress came over and took our drink and dinner orders. She was friendly as well. Our drinks came out and they were strong and just what you expected for an old fashion. The food was then brought to us and explained what everything was along with the three different BBQ sauces. We ordered the pit master platter special $28 per person. It had pulled pork, pork ribs, chicken, hot pink sausage and brisket. It also came with 5 sides. Mac and cheese, fresh house made pickles, house made candied jalapeños, coleslaw and potato salad. Over all the meal was ok. The pulled pork and pork ribs were our favorite with great flavor and moist. The chicken was good as well but a bit dry, hot links were good as well. But the brisket was like my belt hard to cut let alone chew. We didn't even eat a quarter of it. The chef came and asked how we liked it and I was to intimidated to critique his food because you can tell his passion for it. When the waitress showed up we let her know and she said she would let him know. All the sides were good not spectacular. $56 for two people seemed a bit much for the quality of food. Off to try another place on our weekend getaway

Yelp
The food was delicious and it came out hot within 15 minutes of ordering. Also the waiter was very nice. The vibe was epic! - My son, age 11. I agree with all of this!

Yelp
Brought my daughter there for her birthday. Wanted to try a new place. The food was dry and had no smoke or BBQ flavor. Pretty sure my grey chicken breast was microwaved. No smoke color or grill marks. When we left we noticed the smoker/ grill out back wasn't even going. Price was high for poor food. Won't be going back.

Yelp
We took a chance on this BBQ place and glad we did. We are from Alabama so BBQ is the PNW is not a sure thing. There were so many good looking things on the menu that I had a hard time choosing. Settled on the bbq tortilla and the brisket plate. The tortilla had the best Mac n cheese inside of it with pulled pork. Very good and huge! Plus we had the shotgun shell app. Hubs really liked that. The interior is super cute- probably the nicest bbq restaurant I've been in- they're usually dives. And the staff is very friendly. Cute spot in a cute town- eat here!

Yelp
We have been wanting to go to this restaurant for sometime and finally treated ourselves out for a pre-Christmas celebration and it was absolutely fabulous in every way! We were excited to try the old-fashioned with smoke and wow, all of the flavors, and aromas were so complementary. We have coined this drink, the official drink of Twisp and will encourage all of our friends and family visiting to try it as we feel it really embodies the essence of Twisp. We also ordered the prime rib special with garlic herb crust, red wine reduction sauce, collard greens and mashed potatoes, excellent! And while the food was so great, it is important to mention how warm and friendly all of the staff were. We had such a great evening and look forward to going back soon. Thank you 1908 for doing what you do. We really appreciate that you go the extra mile and use only healthy high-quality ingredients in amazing combinations and we love the condiments on the table!

Yelp
The restaurant in downtown Twisp is fantastic. The ambiance is quite frankly the nicest in the Methow, with wood floors, brick walls, it's spotless and beautiful. Staff is incredible from the second you step in. Cocktails are incredible, happy hour old fashioned was a great price - $6. Great bourbon. Menu is outstanding. Appetizer of corn bread was huge for two people. "Pit masters special" for two was perfect. Pork, hot links, and ribs were perfect. BBQ sauces again perfect. Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, candied jalapeños, pickles fantastic. Will stop again, incredible evening. And Music/guitar on a Thursday night.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Had the best pulled pork sandwich of my life. The service was great and so friendly. Was not expecting the rice krispy dessert to be ginormous so plan on needing to share. Highly recommend!

Chelsie M.

Yelp
We stopped in here while staying in Winthrop. What an amazing BBQ place! Highly recommend the pit master platter, the old fashioned happy hour for $6, and the Boulevardier. Shot gun shells were pretty awesome too. Great place!!

Yelp
We were traveling through Winthrop and Twisp in June 2023 and our hotel recommended this place. It was delicious! My husband and I shared the Pit Master Platter. It comes with brisket, pulled pork, chicken, hot links, shot gun shell (pasta with jalapeno popper stuffing), mac and cheese, pickles, coleslaw and potato salad. My husband LOVES BBQ and is very picky. He really liked the food. He said that the coleslaw was really creamy. The rest of the platter was very good too. Great BBQ Sauces too. We couldn't finish it all, so I guess it will be lunch for tomorrow. Great stop in a cute town.

Yelp
All around was really good, waitress was nice and friendly. Tortilla was good a lil on the bready side but the pork and Mac and cheese were outstanding, we also had the Ruben and it was spot on, Amazing! Such a great little BBQ place in Twisp highly recommend!

Yelp
We loved the choices and unique bourbon drinks especially the smoked old fashion . We enjoyed the brisket, pulled pork sandwich with apple and arugula and the corn bread . Our waitress was a doll ; very fun . They have a very cool sign that changes colors. The bar and seating area is warm, no nonsense comfortable .

Yelp
Overall a good dining experience. Our waitress was great with the service provided. I had a beer when I really should have had a cocktail as they obviously specialize in craft cocktails. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich which was loaded with meat which she enjoyed. I had the baby back ribs and was a bit disappointed. I was hoping for a small rack with a "meat falls off the bone" experience but instead the rack was rather large in size and not as tender as I was hoping. Otherwise the flavor was good. Ribs were a dry rub not BBQ. Coleslaw was very good. Ambiance was fine, a little noisy but it was a weekend night.

Becky V.

Yelp
This restaurant is an amazing find in a small town and this food is worth traveling for. The cocktails/wine were original and very high quality. The service was spot on with great ambiance. But hands down the meat is to die for. Melt in your mouth Brisket. fall off the bone ribs. And pulled pork with custom sauces. I promise you will not be disappointed if you give this place a try... you'll want to come back the next day!

Yelp
Wife and I ate dinner last night at '1908'. OMG. I had the half chicked. Meat was smoked, juicy and as good as i have ever had in 65+ years. Wife had the brisket and it was equally good. Plentiful amounts to use leftovers for sandwiches today. Excellent homemade sauces. Food is locally sourced. Friendly staff. A laid back place for a great dinner.

Yelp
Loved this place. We were in Winthrop hoping to get ribs from the ciderhouse on a Wednesday but it was closed. We ran into a guy on the boardwalk in Winthrop who recommended this place in Twisp. My wife and I shared a full order of ribs expecting to eat maybe half. We devoured the whole thing. So delicious. The three house sauces were outstanding. Our waitperson was friendly and efficient. Next time I'm in Twist, I'll be back here for sure!

Elianna R.

Yelp
I came here with out of town family. This is hands down some of the best BBQ I have ever had! The food is absolutely fantastic. The staff and service were also incredible! 100/10 would recommend! My only complaint is that they are located 1+ hour from my house.

Chris F.

Yelp
Amazing food, cocktails, and service! A must in Twisp. Worth the drive from Winthrop!

Yelp
The service was good & the place looked great., but the food was terrible and so are the prices for what you received. We ordered the Pitmaster at $28 per person. It with approximately a cup of pulled pork dumped on a corner of a pan three thin slices of beef brisket which was very dry and you could hardly cut it , a hot sausage link cut up into six pieces , two slices of turkey breast which were completely flavorless and very dry , and two very fatty ribs. I pulled more fat off the ribs and threw it on the platter than the meat I got off the bone of the ribs. They also serve about a half cup each of potato salad, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese . I did not eat the potato salad but the coleslaw was sour and the macaroni and cheese very Bland along with some pickles in a jar and some candied jalapenos. I would not eat here again nor would I recommend this place to anybody . I have tried both barbecue places in twisp and hands down the six-point Saloon is far better food and pricing.

Gailen B.

Yelp
Amazing food and very creative cocktails! I like the atmosphere and the staff was all very friendly.

Linda B.

Yelp
Was not impressed. Food was just ok for how much you pay. $12.00 for a very short 5 oz pour of wine. We won't go back.

Kiley M.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service, the ambiance is calm, comfortable and a great place to get good cocktails!

Rachel H.

Yelp
Delicious!!! The brisket was good, i especially loved the smoked beet salad with arugula!
