We were a table of 13 for Easter Brunch a 12:30 reservation, the restaurant is on the 2nd floor and we dined outside. When we arrived, the restaurant inside and outside seating was full of patrons. The menu was "Sunday Brunch". We ordered the following: Sunday Brunch Board $16, Ricotta Orange Pound Cake $15, 2-Coastal Mac and Cheese $26 each, Octopus & Shrimp Tirado $24, Seafood Tower $98. All of the starters were very good. Then the entrees, 2 of us ordered the 1912 Salad, with added chicken and it was dry and the salad had barely any vinaigrette on it. We asked for more vinaigrette and it took a very long time to get to the table, but at best this salad was not worth $28 each. They went uneaten. Four of us order the Steak and Eggs, three plates arrived and the eggs on top were runny and not desirable to eat. We told our waiter about one of the eggs and she came back with an angry overly cooked egg. I say angry because it looked like the "chef" (if you want to call the person cooking there that) smashed it down to be sure we didn't have any more to say about it and at this point we hadn't had any problems, but more were to come. The C&P Grits bowl $22 was tasty, we also ordered a side of fingerling potatoes (every meal these potatoes were on needed salt, but there wasn't any salt on the table) and a side of cheddar bacon sausages. Also 4 orders of the Adobo Braised Chicken $22 each, Mochi Pancakes, $17, 5 soft drinks and one Shirley Temple, 3 bottles of SanPellegrino, Specialy Firebread, 3 beers at approximately $8 each and 7 cocktails at approximately $20 each. I write all of this to have you know that our bill came to well over $1,000. They do add their 18% gratuity for large parties to that. As I wrote above, we ordered FOUR Steak and Egg entrees. Three arrived with not fully cooked eggs, we all had our plates and were finished and yet one Steak and Egg entree never arrived. Jill was our waitress and she was a very good waitress and she tried her best to tell the person waiting for their plate that it was about finished. Finally after a long wait, and all other entrees finished, a gentleman came out to apologize with the plate in his hand, he served it in place of Jill. When the plate was placed in front of the person whom it belonged to, the meat was raw. He did order it rare but not raw. We called the man over that delivered the plate and told him this entire experience was not enjoyable and how long we had waited for a meal and everyone else was finished and now it's not properly cooked! Also, cocktails took a long time to get to the table, but at the time, the restaurant was full, but later on the soft drink refills didn't happen until we were leaving, this Steak and Egg plate being late and the ones that did arrive had uncooked eggs. The best crazy part of this review is that not one table had any other guests seated. The place was empty! So they had more then enough time to make 4 Steak and Egg entree correctly and on time especially knowing that our bill had no limit with the amount of people in our group, and the amount of starters we ordered.
We will never return and we will be sure to tell anyone to pass this restaurant up. What a disgrace.
