Oooooohhhh mannnnnn! I was mindin’ my own business getting some exercise and walkin’ the neighborhood listening to an audio book and suddenly I smell the most delicious food! I look over and see the big red bus with a “TACOS” sign on the house. Now, I don’t even really like tacos like that but the energy of the place called to me. I turned off my audiobook and the sweetest, rhythmic soca-reggae was playing from the speakers (not too loud, not too softly). I thought, maybe I’ll try just one taco. So I go to the bus to look at the menu and perhaps order and see a sign on the bus to go inside the house. I think, “yeahhhhh… I don’t know…” just as Aaron, the owner greets me with a big huge smile and asks if I’d like to look at the menu to dine in our order to-go. I’m not willing to commit though, despite Aaron’s welcome, the incredible aroma, the most perfect music, and a sunshiny warm beautiful day. That is, until I looked at the menu and realized this is no ordinary taco bus. I see a falafel taco with mango and balsamic glaze and I now MUST sit down and try a taco! Then I see the fish taco on the menu and I’m in a dilemma… “which one?” (I am a pescatarian), I ask Aaron, and he recommends Arabian Night (the falafel one). He then asks my name and introduces himself. He’s warm and friendly and explains that he and his wife, Miriam recently opened the restaurant and delight in making tacos with a culinary twist.
My taco comes, just a few minutes later (delivered by the wonderful Miriam, who is just as warm and friendly as Aaron) and I’m newly in love! Who knew falafel could be so delicious?!? I chat up the man at the table next to me and he explains each of his different 3 tacos was amazing as well.
So now I must return!
