In general the hotel has very good facilities: rooftop pool, beach club, restaurant, gym, spa. The position is very good in Sliema, there are beach clubs, cliffs, bistro/ restaurants nearby and Valletta and the airport are 15 min by taxi. Also, is not in a chaotic area of the island, so you should still be able to enjoy a relatively calm environment. The rooms are modern, maybe a bit average. In our room the air conditioning didn't work and they gave us a fan but we didn't use it as it was a bit noisy. We went to the rooftop pool, which was good and peaceful and the waiters were very nice and kind. However, the service for food was slow (roughly 45min wait for any food you ordered, faster for drinks). Overall, a good experience.

I would recommend this hotel for future stays. It has a nice feel to it. There was ongoing construction across the street when we were there in May however it did not affect us and we could not hear it in the room. A/C in the room. Water pressure was poor in the shower but I guess it’s the downfall of a lack of natural water on the island. Breakfast was great also. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. The room does not come with a traditional access card/key. You are required to download an app to your mobile and use it to access your code which is then input into the door keypad. All in all I would recommend!

The mix of reviews on this place could seem quite startling, but I'd say there's not really any reason for the average traveller to believe the worst of them. The rooms were very nice and the AC worked absolutely fine, the do not disturb buttons and room keys also worked well and we were very pleased with the complimentary body Scrub, dressing gown and slippers. The service was good throughout and we really appreciated being given a postcard towards the end of our stay. The beach club was good, and the construction outside the hotel really wasn't as disturbing for us as it has been for some people - and it seems like there are very few places in Malta where it could be fully avoided anyway. The breakfast was more expensive than getting it outside of the hotel but the selection itself was good. All in all, it was better than average for a cheaper room for a short weekend stay - but I can see why it could be disappointing at a higher price point or over a longer stay.

The hotel is situated at a good location and has great amenities. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the spa facilities. The staff is also very helpful, friendly and attentive. In general, the room was good and clean. However, there was a leak in the shower which we communicated to reception and in the afternoon we were told it was fixed. An hour later the maintenance guy arrived saying he came to fix the leak which was supposedly fixed, but we were getting ready and could not let him in. Over the next 3 days, this cycle continued where we would be told the issue was fixed or would be fixed when we returned to our rooms but that was not the case. We then complained and said that this cannot continue to happen and that it was very surprising that the reception could not communicate properly with the maintenance team. We were then told we would be moved to a room snd upgraded to a “much nicer room”, but it was basically the same room. Also, in the shower of this room the water would not drain as the shower was slopped and we had to push the water to the drain with our feet every time we showered. Also, housekeeping forgot to refill the soap and to bring different towels a number of times and we had to contact reception to request them!

The hotel has a nice lobby, but this is just a facade. The room was furnished with what looked like the cheapest office furniture they could find. Our room was dark and a bit on the damp side. While it did have an A/C controller, it didn't actually do anything. During meal times the room also filled with the smell of whatever is being cooked.|As the hotel butts up against the adjacent building you have a lovely view into someone's home, (the alternative being a room on the front which suffers from high noise volumes and dirt from the construction site opposite). No sunlight penetrates the room and you need to go outside and look up to see if it's a sunny day.|Staff were cheerful and pleasant, but with a few exceptions (concierge guy was very good) generally useless. One example of manyeach day we asked: Can I have some normal tea in my room as the cleaner only leaves flavoured bags each day? Each day the answer was: Yes, no problem sir, we'll bring some up. Each day nothing arrived |The rooftop bar/pool area is very noisy from the construction site and rather small and the beach club down the hill and across the main road is also next to a construction site. |All round this is a very disappointing hotel seeking maximum payments for minimum service and standards. To give you an idea, this is one or may even two levels down from a Premier Inn

The bits that were really good: The location is great, just 5-10 mins walk from the harbour and there is often some off street parking or a carpark for €7 a day. The gym was better than most hotel gyms, very clean and plenty of equipment. The spa was lovely, and we often had the place to ourselves. The roof terrace and pool were a nice surprise as they opened and heated the pool when the weather was good, even though they weren’t due to open it until March. Service from hotel staff was perfect and the breakfast was excellent. The app and PIN code for hotel and room are a great idea. Bits that were not great: the room - it was very noisy. We were on the 1st floor and I think we were near to a staff room/staff entrance. The hotel room doors are very thin so you can hear everything going on in the lobby, restaurant and the staff room door opening every few minutes. The shower was amazing but flooded the bathroom each time you used it. Once we fixed the TV (aerial cable is damaged), the channels are limited (we found 1 in English). In summary, we would absolutely stay here again at the price we paid of £78pn, but we would ask for a room on a higher floor. The spa, terrace, gym and breakfast room were often very busy and we are here in the winter so I wonder if it gets too busy during high season.

At check in I was excited, welcome drinks, cute lobby, stylish bar… was also pleased with the rooftop pool area while we waited for our room…. The same amount of thought and care was not put into the rooms, the beds are hard, there’s so real vibe to the rooms, kind of like a dorm, and you can hear everything in the hall, above you, outside…. I asked for more pillow for comfort and they said go on the app and view our pillow options, they come at a charge! What? So my excitement deflated by the first night…. Hotel has potential to be better. It’s lovely but ultimately not comfortable. We ordered the menu breakfast after viewing the buffet and that was delicious and roughly the same price as the buffet that looked mediocre. We sat for dinner due to rain and not going out, too 45 minutes for starters and 2 hours for main dish… rib eye steak was hammered: maybe you should pay more somewhere else because you will pay for it anyway

A fantastic stay from start to finish! After a small booking issue, Olga the hotel manager helped to find solution was found, and everything went smoothly. We loved the “Sunny’s Suite” with its sea view, the rooftop pool with the most comfortable loungers ever, and the relaxing wellness area. “Margaux” restaurant is a must – excellent food at fair prices. Perfect location near the promenade and ferry to Valletta. Friendly staff and thoughtful touches throughout – we’ll definitely return!
