Overall very pleased we spent a week at this hotel. The location is ideal with easy walking to the shops, restaurants and ferries. The staff at reception were always attentive and friendly. The breakfast had a large selection and of good quality, I liked the fact you were greeted on entry and advised which table to use rather than wandering around trying to find one. We rarely had to wait for the lift. I was amazed that a complimentary tour was available in a historic bus with a trip to the Blue Grotto, Dingli Cliffs and Mdina. The beachside club was excellent apart from one staff member who was aggressive and rude when we had the temerity to drink water from a bottle not purchased at the facility, we didn’t know the rule but the message should have been delivered in a different manner. The bedroom furniture was far from standard and ideal with no wardrobes or drawers to put things away. A poorly thought out choice. There was lots of noise from very early in the morning from the updating of the building opposite including, contrary to my travel company info, Sunday. Ear plugs certainly helped and as we were advised before going it didn’t bother me as out all day. I recommend two trips, the Tuk Tuk tour of Gozo was awesome and you were picked up close to the hotel and The Sunset Cruise to the Blue Lagoon by Hornblower Cruises, much quieter at this time and sunset fantastic. Uber rides are inexpensive compared with the UK and if travelling with Jet2 I would forget the arranged transport (arrived early and got us to the airport too soon after lots of pickups on the way and terrible attitude) and go by Uber or Bolt. Overall loved our holiday in Sliema and very pleased I chose this hotel.

We were “upgraded “ to a room that happened to be a handicap room. There were no walls for the shower and the water never completely dried up on the bathroom the entire visit. We were also supposed to have 2 beds and got one but, we decided to just keep the room. Limited space to store clothes and toiletries. The staff was wonderful. The spa was decent. The beach club was great. Margaux was excellent! Would stay again for sure.

Everything i have to say about this hotel is positive! From the friendly/helpful staff, to the complimentary sunset cruise. Perfect hotel for couples, lovely and modern but tasteful decor throughout. Beach club literally is a 2 min walk away and has a great atmosphere. We ate there twice, both times we were blown away by the food. Rooftop pool is so very chilled and immaculately clean...be sure to reserve beds. The online app makes your stay really seamless. We booked our airport taxi (€20) via this and reserved sunbeds and made dinner reservations. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every day. Never too busy. Water taxi return to Valletta, for 2 was €9 and takes less than 10 mins. Honestly, one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Thank you.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The location is fantastic—conveniently close to a variety of great restaurants. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. A special thank you to Sathya for the smooth check-in and to Justin, who went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The hospitality throughout the hotel was truly wonderful—there was always someone available and ready to help. Booking spa treatments was a breeze, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire spa team—Tamara, Jackie, and the kind gentleman whose name we unfortunately missed—for making us feel so pampered and relaxed. It was the perfect way to end our trip on a high note!

What an exceptional hotel. This should definitely be a 5* hotel. From the moment we arrived we just knew this was going to be special. Cold water on arrival. Check in with Francesca was quick and easy with everything explained. No room key, access to room is keypad which is a great idea. |The room (Premium suite) was simply stunning, bright, spacious and relaxing. Incredible views of the sea from the balcony.|Every single member of the hotel staff were so friendly, attentive and would do anything they could for you, even making sure you had cool water in your room fridge. |Rooftop pool was amazing, although getting into warm water for a swim was a little shock (it’s heated only by the sun). You don’t have to leave your sun bed for drinks or food, simply scan the code on your table to order and it arrives. |The beach club/infinity pool is not attached to the hotel, it’s across the road off the promenade. It too is stunning, cold and refreshing with unbelievable views across the sea. Spent many hours in the water watching the cruise ships coming in and out. Again, staff here were amazing, attentive and very friendly. I have booked to come back already.

Excellent Hotel and great staff. Nice size standard room. Small balcony but didn’t use much and a bit overlooked but not an issue to us. Great breakfast selection with both British and continental. Excellent cocktails especially the Pina Colada’s. Super friendly bar man! They also have a happy hour 2-1 cocktails most evenings. Lovely roof top pool with loungers and gazebos but has to be booked in Advance. |Best part for us was the beach club a short walk down the street. Wonderful pool! Plenty of loungers. Not too overcrowded. Even had steps at the side of the pool into the sea so you could take a dip. Beach club - No cost to hotel guests apart from food and drink but reasonable prices and v good food. Beach towels available. Overall great holiday and would go back again. Thank you 1926.

I have recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is excellent — very well connected with public transport nearby, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. However, there were several drawbacks that affected my overall impression: The food lacked variety and became repetitive quickly. The rooftop requires reservations and is not designed for swimming, which was disappointing. There's no proper beach area to relax or sunbathe. Opening hours for facilities were quite limited — they opened late and closed early. Cleaning only took place after 3 PM, which felt a bit inconvenient. Although the room wasn’t particularly large, I was charged an extra 100 for it, which didn’t feel justified. The elevator was slow, and I often had to wait quite a while. Also, there's no Netflix or smart TV options, which is something many guests would expect nowadays. In summary, while the location and staff were definite highlights, the overall experience didn't quite meet expectations for the price. With a few improvements, this place could offer a much better stay.

Stayed in a Junior suite here in 1926. Overall the hotel is great with very nice and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Pro’s: Nice clean room with good air con. Nice Milton Brown products supplied in bathroom / shower. Breakfast Buffet was good (as breakfast buffets go). Friendly and accommodating staff. Kumar in the interior Hotel Bar makes amazing cocktails 😋 Happy hour on Coctails from 4pm - 7pm, strongly advise taking advantage of this. Our room had a hot tub on the balcony which was a nice touch / surprise when we got there also. Con’s: Fridge in room doesn’t work and doesn’t cool anything you put in there. Hot tub has a mind of its own and will come on of its own free will multiple times every night (on high power jets which is really noisy) until you locate the cut off switch to just cut the power to it completely. Coctails at pool bar outside are terrible. Bar staff over there need lessons from Kumar. But I would still highly recommend this hotel and Malta is a lovely place to visit.
