"This charming Korean spot on — of course — 1st Street is the city’s one-stop shop for Korean street food staples, including plump, panko-fried Korean corn dogs with satisfyingly cheesy mozzarella filling, as well as steamy-spicy soups like jjamppong. However, most of 1st Street Pocha’s devotees are there for the fried chicken, crispy-crusted wings doused in sticky marinades or served dry and well-seasoned. Order them with both sauces, with a few sides of kimchi for good measure." - Krista Garcia

"Beaverton’s Korean destination Du Kuh Bee closed without fanfare in the height of the pandemic, a devastating loss to the city. It’s a relief, then, that 1st Street Pocha, the Korean restaurant that took its place, is as good as it is — especially its fried chicken. The rice flour dredge gives these thick wings a satisfying crispness, one that stands up to its sticky-spicy glaze. The restaurant’s soy garlic wings are a better fit for those afraid of spice." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden, Dianne de Guzman

Will be back. Small hole in the wall but amazing food. Amazing staff. There is a wait time because they only have 7 tables but you can find something to do near by if needed. I loved the food though. FLAVORRRR

I'm not even exaggerating when I say this was the best fried chicken I've ever had in my 24 years of life. The fried chicken was hot fresh and crispy. I absolutely loved the flavors that I ordered. Can't say I was a huge fan of the Rose Tteokbokki. We also got some Soju that was really good and a spicy seafood soup which was very spicy just keep that in mind. I'll definitely be back again soon. Maybe during the week. Keep in mind that if you go on a weekend that the restaurant is very small so you'll probably have to wait to be seated. Some thing that did turned me off a lot about this restaurant was that there was a group of 3 men Being extremely loud and obviously they were drunk, but I felt like they were over-served alcohol. The restaurant is very small so I could hear them literally screaming and laughing right next to me. It really did not let me enjoy my meal as much as I would've liked to.

You’ve really got to try the Korean Fried Chicken and Corndogs “hotdogs”. This place was the best date night we’ve had in awhile. Our waitress was warm and wonderful. We’ll absolutely be back, the only trouble is we want to try the whole menu but everything we got was TOO good. From best of the best to best: KFC, hotdogs, mandu, seasoned rice balls and spicy noodles.

Google
Best tteokbokki I’ve had, and I’ve tried a lot. I’ve never been able to find tteokbokki made the way I like it (they all tend to taste just like watery gochujang). I tried the truffle fries and the rose tteokbokki, and they were both very flavorful and well-seasoned. The rice cakes in the rose tteokbokki were fresh and chewy, and the bacon and sausage were delicious and a nice touch. The sauce was a good consistency—not too thick or watery. It had a slight smokiness from the meats. I personally love a bunch of green onion in my tteokbokki, so I would have loved more, but they gave a decent amount. The amount given for the price was fair; it was quite filling, even though I always eat a lot. The truffle fries are delicious as well; they have a great texture (crispy outside and fluffy inside) and are seasoned well. They come out VERY hot! I also appreciate that they give small metal dishes along with the food so you can portion it out to share or cool down. The atmosphere is casual and cozy, though it can feel a bit cramped since it is small and often busy. Expect to wait outside for a table to open up. They play K-pop music. I really like that they are open late. I will definitely come back here again. Looking forward to trying the bossam sometime. Never had it before, but it looks yummy. I came back a second time the following day for the rose tteokbokki again, and the waitress remembered me.

I don't think words can describe how much i LOVE 1st Street Pocha. (Our friends introduced us to this place!) By far my favorite Korean restaurant I've been to - nothing has yet to compare to the flavors you get here. The Rose Tteokbokki was the star of the show, i literally crave it ALL the time. It's really cramped and loud, but that just really adds to the ambience of hot, greasy, delicious korean street food! Definitely worth a try, whether you're a visitor or a local. 100/10

Google
Small place but the food is soo good, especially late night. The corn dogs and the corn cheese are table favorites 😍 the Korean fried chicken is so good, especially the truffle soy garlic. The spicy sweet chicken could be a little hotter, and the regular soy garlic could have more garlic, but it's a good bite

Google
Ordered takeout. Usually order takeout. Today was 25 minute wait but they are soooo goood so on weekends it can be over an hour long wait. These are the best handmade noodles I have found anywhere. I wish they sold the noodles at the store. They would sell like crazy. And the chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had! I order half and half so I can have both flavors. No pictures of the wings because we ate them immediately. Highly recommend!

Google
I love this place. The Korean hotdogs are great and from ones I’ve tried in the area they have my favorite. My other go to is their wings super crunchy and the sauce is amazing. Usually get it as take out but plan to dine in and try more dishes soon. This is a great spot!

Thuy N.

Yelp
We love the chicken wings! The service is great! There is indoor and outdoor seating. We have ordered to go more than not. It does get super busy so be patient with the staff. If you can't wait to eat in, ordering take out is highly recommended :) We have been satisfied with each order so far and have been back many times!

Rachel S.

Yelp
Service was fast and pretty good. No real complaints. But the place is small! (Very popular so surprise why this place is so small) ~ The food is definitely family style so share and do your best and try as much as you can. I give this a 4/5 because the food was pretty sweet. The Tteokbokkio specifically! Not awful but surprising! I really like the cheese corn! Would get over :)

Su-jen Y.

Yelp
1st street pocha has been on my list for a long time but we never came because the menu seemed limited. So we came for my birthday since I really wanted Korean fried chicken. So, the menu was limited and it was not cheap. Given the size of the place, the food took a long time to come, which we were warned when we were seated. The corn cheese was excellent. The corn was sweet and the cheese was stringy and delicious. The rest of what we ordered were ok not outstanding. The duk bokki was very average. The fried chicken was ok as well,,, Overall, would probably only come back if other kfc were worse.

Yelp
A MUST stop when in Beaverton! I was visiting a friend and figured I would stop by. It did not disappoint. Best corn dog I've ever had. I recommend going when they open because the place filled up very quick and it's not a large space. The staff were so friendly and helped us decide on what we should order. The wings were on point. They kinda drizzled the sauce over instead of tossed them in and since I'm a sauce kween, I asked for extra sauce on the side which was perfect. I'd love to go back and eat dinner. We were meeting a friend for dinner so I just got snacks but every entree that came by smelled and looked delicious. We will be back!

Yelp
1st Street is an absolute gem, and my go-to spot for tteokbokki! I always order it with ramen and cheese added, and it's a total game changer. The dish is packed with so much flavor, and everything is incredibly fresh and cooked to order. For just $16, you get a massive portion, making it hands down the best tteokbokki in town. Their Korean corn dogs are also fantastic - cheesy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with sugar, mustard, and ketchup. You get three for $12, and they're always fresh and delicious. Though the restaurant is fairly small and doesn't open until after 4 PM (which can be a little inconvenient), the food more than makes up for it. I've never had a bad dish here, and it's definitely become an addiction! Highly recommend.

Carmela G.

Yelp
As usual, they make one of the best Korean food in PDX. Highly recommend! Must try!

Erin M.

Yelp
Amazing wings and decent sized! Might be best Korean wings in the area! Seating is a bit limited and a cramped space, so plan ahead. Service is kind and quick.

joy m.

Yelp
This restaurant has been on my Yelp list forever and we got to finally try this Friday night. We got the half and half wings, the spicy noodles, the corn dog and kimchi! The spicy noodles will clear any sinuses up! It's a great mixture of chewy noodle, fresh veggies and spice that continues to build with every bite but packed with flavor! The half and half wings were perfectly seasoned and fried. The pickled radishes are a delightful touch! Corn dog was pretty yummy and the kimchi was perfect.

Brittani C.

Yelp
Ordered: -Corn dogs -Rose ddukbokki -Bossam Pro: -Corn dogs were chewy and crunchy! Generous mozzarella & juicy sausage. We'd order this and grab drinks next time.? Con: -Rose dukkbokki was not spicy at all, and did not taste like ddukbokki or rose pasta -Bossam was dry & tough. Bossam should be well seasoned, tender and juicy. The cabbage leaves are thinly sliced so you can't wrap the pork with it. -Tables are small. It's cramped inside (someone hit me while I was eating because they were walking past our table) and if you order more than two dishes at a two person table, you will not have room for your plates

Vanissa T.

Yelp
Definitely a hole in a wall joint hidden in Beaverton. It's a small location and can get busy during dinner time so come right when they're open. Both bossom and tebokki were made so fresh, especially the pork belly wraps. It did take about 20 minutes or so for it to come out but it was definitely worth the wait. It was juicy, not greasy. Full of flavor and the balance of the pickled reddish and the crisp of the Napa cabbage took it to town. Their fried chicken is also top tier and can't go wrong with them. Them jawns was CRISPY and not greasy, and FAT and not just fried batter. soy garlic is my preferred choice but the spicy is also a winner. there's no lose lose on any of these 3!

Yelp
Merlin's Beard ! This place is truly remarkable, and I'm glad we ended up here after deliberating between a couple of other options. The restaurant is quite small, with only a few seats. I noticed the server had to turn away at least six or seven parties after ours because they just didn't have enough seats. The place looks like a local Korean spot with movie posters adorning the wall . We started with a round of Korean soju that our server suggested and followed it up with Korean style hot dog. It was cheesy and delicious, and I am so glad that we were able to get the last one. We followed this up with green onion pancake and rose Tteokbokki . The food does takes time to arrive because this place truly was a two people show - They only have one chef, and just one server. Between the two of them they were doing it all - taking orders, seating , serving ,cooking , takeout orders etc . The food is phenomenal , we were appreciating every single bite we put in our mouth. The Tteokbokki had great flavours , the sauce was creamy and spicy and packed a punch. The Haemul pajeon was excellent - thick , crispy edges and soft texture in the middle with a lot of seafood . Despite the food being excellent there was no way we could finish all of it so we brought it home and they heated up very nicely next day . Service was good but I do feel they can do with at least another server. Pricing seemed fair for the delicious and big portions .

Yelp
This is an amazing night time hang out spot for some korean food and drinks. The fried chicken was fresh and super crispy, and the seafood pancake was crisp on the outside, and fluffly and delicious on the inside. The prices were pretty good too, though the drinks are on the expensive side. Run by a small group of folks in an even smaller space, the service was great and the food was even greater. Definitely somewhere i'll be coming back.

Ploy N.

Yelp
What a fun spot! It's small but very cozy and got great energy from the staffs as well as the music and ambience. Lots of Korean drinking food on the menu so be sure to get some sojus with your meal. We got the Haemul Pajeon which to me was one of the best I've tried in town! Love how evenly crispy the outside was, yet the inside was still soft and packed full of seafood. The Half & Half Truffle Soy and Sweet Spicy Wings were also great. They came out a bit later but that's because they make them fresh. They were so crispy on the outside. Tender on the inside. Both flavors were really good. We also got the Gizzards which I was particularly excited about but unfortunately they were sorta dry and tough. I think they wanted them to be crispy but overcooked them...alas. I liked the accompaniment of jalapenos and garlics in the dish tho. Overall, very happy with the experience and will definitely be back to try their Bossams and Noodle dishes!

Yelp
I love love LOVE coming here for some pocha. Portland doesn't really have a true pocha spot (ie. small and good Korean drinking snacks, a good assortment of drinks, and open late) except for this spot. The inside of 1st Street Pocha is pretty small, but that makes it very intimate. There's lots of decor and the dim lighting at all times, makes it the perfect atmosphere to chat and drink with friends. Service is always super quick and the woman running it is so fun and kind. They have a smaller but pretty diverse menu with items you typically don't see at other Korean spots in Portland, such as fish cake soup, truffle chicken wings, rose tteokbokki, and chicken gizzard. I haven't tried everything on their menu but from what I have tried, I can say that it has all been phenomenal. The fish cake soup is a hearty broth with yummy fish cake that makes for a perfect drinking snack to make you feel warm (or to even help with the headaches the day after). The wings are crispy and the radish compliments it so well. And, their tteokbokki and corn dogs--well, you can't go wrong with them. I love going here and bringing new friends along (and I recommend you to, too!).

Julie L.

Yelp
Overall had an OK experience. It's a very small, narrow restaurant and I felt cramped in there at times. I recommend coming in with a small group. It does have a fun atmosphere, a lot of pop music. The food is on the pricier side but at least the portions are huge. We got the half and half Korean fried chicken. It came out steaming hot, chicken was very crispy and flavorful. Definitely my favorite dish there. The corn dog was a little mushy on the inside but the outside was crunchy. There was nothing special about the tteokbokki, it tasted like any other establishment that sells them. I'd definitely come back again for the KFC and to try other dishes! Nothing too remarkable about service, staff are friendly!

Monica S.

Yelp
We were craving fried chicken and stumbled across this place. The truffle fried chicken was fire! It was a take out, food was ready piping hot and absolutely delicious. The staff was very kind. We'd definitely come back to try more.

John C.

Yelp
One of the best tasting Korean fried chicken around town. Also, their other offerings are good as well. My favorite flavors are the soy garlic and truffle soy garlic. If you like spicy the spicy sweet is another great option. Service was quick and attentive. Ambiance is like a hole in wall. Limited seating so it is not good for large groups. Better to get it to go and eat it outside in the common area of you have a large group.

Roman S.

Yelp
A Korean snack/food/drinking spot in downtown beaverton. Place isn't big, maybe 10 tables, 2 bigger ones. Place offers a variety of Korean food, snacks and a good selection of soju to go with it. Most of the menu has items that are spicy, however, if you don't want spicy there are some options although less. Korean hot dogs... 1 for $5 or 3 for $12. not too bad. not much sausage inside, it's like the tiniest I've ever seen. Good amount of cheese inside. Short and fun. Somewhat unusual but, tastes good. Fried calamari. good solid chunks of squid legs. Fried wings. I tried the soy girl, it's just ok. Not a cheap spot to eat, but the quality is definitely solid.

Nina L.

Yelp
This is my FAVORITE place in all of Beaverton. I've had so much on their menu and love every single thing. The Korean corn dogs, the cheese corn, stir fry udon!!!! Wow you have to try this place and if you only go for one thing, try the truffle soy garlic Korean wings. These will change your life I promise.

Jez V.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm so glad I went because this is a new favorite place for Korean food! I initially thought this was a place for small bites and appetizers but I was wrong. We tried the chicken bulgogi, tteokbokki, and Korean fried chicken. The spice levels were no joke but so good! Their portions are HUGE. We ordered so much thinking we were going to get small portions but was proven wrong. The restaurant itself is very small with limited seating so make sure to plan to go during non-peak hours. People were in and out frequently so you know this is a popular spot. I'll definitely be back again!

Charlie T.

Yelp
This is still a solid place to go to in Beaverton when you have the munchies. It's good when you go with a small group of people (as the place is also pretty small) because you can get a variety of items. Their wings are one of the best in town as well as their Bossam.

Sally C.

Yelp
One of the top Korean bar food spots in my opinion! My favorite things here are their gizzards, stir fry udon, and fried chicken! Everything else is also worth trying! The seafood noodle soup was a great end to our meal and really helped wash everything down. The onions on the gizzards were a bit undercooked for my friends, but I preferred it that way:). Overall I 100% recommend!

Shawn R.

Yelp
Incredible that you can tell is fresh and made with non-GMO ingredients. Highly recommend for authentic Korean food.

Iris L.

Yelp
many parking on the street, if inside is full and no seating you can also do take out and sit outside, lots of seating too. Chill vibes and interior has lots of kdrama and movies posters. another wall was full of destinations/vacation spots. Menu is as of 6/2/2023 two of us ordered D1. POCHA WINGS Half soy & Half spicy 10pc $27 D2. SPICY HOUSE NOODLE $16 stir-fried noodles, vegetables, house spicy sauce added pork for $3 additional D8. TTEOKBOKKI and i asked for it in Rose creamy sauce - honest opinion though the wings were super juicy and crunchy, it was a bit too salty personal preference. Spicy sweet was good but it got too sweet after a while so if you're someone that doesn't tolerate food that's very flavorful or savory then perhaps ask them to go light on sauce or see if they could give it to you on the side. 8/10 - spicy house noodle hit the spot!!! Every bite of flavorful and with perfect balance of meat and veggies and the noodles were stir fried and coated evenly in sauce. Noodle was not too soggy or too chewy. Just perfect to slurp and for huge portion size it was very price worthy. 10/10 recommend - TTEOKBOKKI is a korean street food staple and though many places make it similarly, it is very largely different in how spicy their sauce is and how chewy or soft their rice cakes are. This place has a very good balance of sweet and spicy for their sauce and rice cake can be a little bit softer but this may be a personal preference for some. So if you're someone that get upset stomach easily or have hard time digesting chewy and glutinous food, chew longer and most definitely drink water because it will expand up later in the stomach. Side note: wish they was more fish cake and green onions or jalapeños added! 7/10 Short wait time, seated right away and we went on a Friday evening between 5:30-6pm.

Jose C.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to try this place out when the wait at Afuri was two hours long lol. This place had no wait; we grabbed the last empty table. We tried the Rose Tteokbokki, spicy house noodles with chicken and steamed squid. The Tteokbokki and spicy house noodles were great! The steamed squid was ok. It was a little undercooked. The older woman who took our order was nice but didn't check up on us at all. She took our order, that's it. We had to let her know that we ran out of water and ask her to give us more. The restaurant itself is small and a little dark. There are maybe 5 or 6 tables in total. The food is good, but the service is OK.

Jessica J.

Yelp
Very nice and very fast service, came to check on us all the time and the food was delicious i really recommend, the flavor and it was really hot when we got it very filling actually. The place is small but very nice and the vibes are great !! i would 100% come back and i have already recommended this place to others !

Devin R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in the Portland metro for Korean fried chicken. We got the half spicy half soy wings and they were crispy, moist, and flavorful. The rose tteokbokki is also excellent. The restaurant is small but very comfortable.

Claire C.

Yelp
Amazing!!! I only got the rose tteokbokki with cheese since I wasn't too hungry. the portion was large, especially for a tteokbokki. Adding cheese is $5, but definitely worth it. It was also still pretty spicy (I have a low spice tolerance), but delicious. The space is quite small and the table feels a bit small/cramped, but it has a nice hole-in-a-wall type feel. The service was a bit slow since it seemed to be just one waiter and one cook, but I had time and it wasn't an issue. Would definitely recommend!

Jake F.

Yelp
1st Street Pocha in downtown Beaverton stands out as one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area. The Rose Tteokbokki is a standout dish, offering a flavor that's absolutely to die for. Additionally, their chicken wings are perfect for taking home and snacking on later. I usually start with the Cheese Corn, which is a delightful appetizer, though occasionally, the cheese-to-corn ratio is off, leading to clumps of cheese rather than a balanced mix. The restaurant's cozy size adds to its charm but can be a drawback, especially when trying to get a table late at night. During peak times, the small space seems to overwhelm the staff, which has sometimes resulted in what could be perceived as rudeness.

Emily B.

Yelp
The corndog is absolutely amazing. I have dreams about their chicken wings. Excellent service always so friendly only downfall is it's a very small space so it's hard to get in but totally worth it. If you do when the weather is nice, you can sit out in the Beaverton Commons.

Nina C.

Yelp
I'm here to mostly talk about a dish that they have, which is amazing. If this had been the only dish I tried, I would have given it a five star review, but I didn't honestly love the pork lettuce wraps, and I wasn't blown away by the fried chicken. The dish is the Tteokbokki rose, complete with the ramen and cheese. My favorite Korean dish is already this one, but it's pretty hard to find the creamier version of their spicy sauce, and especially with the melted gooey cheese on top that stretches a whole foot before breaking. The last time I had this dish prepared like this was in San Francisco, and being that I live in Florida, it's specifically hard to find authentic Korean food. I feel like this dish really was the epitome of that, we also had the garlic, soy chicken, which was good, and I was impressed by the way, they were able to make the inside of the chicken juicy and Moise says it was while keeping a dryer skin on the outside. We also had the sweet chili wings as well and they were good, but nothing to come back for the way the first it was. We also had the pork lettuce wraps, I believe it was called the bossam or something like that, but the ingredients all came out in a way that it didn't really come together into what you would have liked from a lettuce wrap. They were nice enough to reserve a table for us on a Friday night when we called as we were leaving the house. We got there and there was a table waiting for us, and everybody who was walking in after was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Obsessed with this dish will definitely be back for it

Dennis C.

Yelp
The seafood pancake was tasty but lacked seafood. Chicken wings were flavorful and crispy, and the noodle dish that we got was good. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is great for late-night food.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Absolutely fun Pocha. The Korean corn dogs are so incredible! So far the best we have found in the Portland/Beaverton/Hillsboro area. The service is great. There isn't a ton of space though, but don't let that deter you from coming. I've been here so many times I figured it was time to write a review. There are Kdrama posters lining the wall and awesome music playing in the background. The tteokbokki is super tasty and not to spicy, and Korean fried chicken is so flavorful, and the Udon was very comforting. Highly recommend this place for dinner or late night food sesh.

Sylvia C.

Yelp
I was apprehensive about trying Pocha, because I used to come when it was a gritty late night hole-in-the-wall spot called Ddukubee with someone in the back constantly pulling fresh noodles. Koreans from around town would come after NRB for chicken gizzard, noodles, and some other sool anju + authentic fare. Happy to say, I enjoyed the food- there's a reason the place is packed most nights! The lighting is brighter, the clientele is whiter (haha it's nice to see Korean food becoming a lot more mainstream in America), and the menu has changed, but the food was well executed. The pocha is indeed a delicious representation of Korean street food, and we enjoyed: - Korean fried chicken + pickled radish - Seafood pancake - House fried noodles - Variety of beer and soju

Lisa H.

Yelp
Small restaurant located in a bustling spot in Beaverton. This spot can be hard to find since its right in between some other korean restaurants. Came around 7pm and it was super busy, we were lucky they had a table open. There arent a lot of seats inside so the wait can be pretty long. Menu features traditional korean dishes with some popular korean snack type of foods. We got the Rose Tteokbokki, Pocha Wings and Korean Hotdog. I see many korean restaurants offering tteokbokki but not rose tteokbokki so I was excited to try it. There were not a lot of non alcoholic drink options. Rose Tteokbokki: Very tasty, this version of tteokbokki was more creamy than the original tteokbokki. The rice cakes were very chewy and the additional ingredients in the dish added a variety of texture. Korean Corndog: Pretty good. The batter on the hotdog was really nice. The hotdog is half hotdog and half cheese inside. Pocha Wings: wings were on the pricier side for the quantity that you get. Pretty solid wings. Overall: pretty good experience - loved the korean snack type of foods. Definitely come earlier in the night if you dont want to wait 40+ min.

Keizzel C.

Yelp
I tried to come here two other times before but there was always a 1+ hour wait so third time was the charm. I can see why there are always waits because the space is actually quite small and only a couple tables at a time. They also seem to have a leaner staff so wait times can be longer even if you had a seat. I would say this is somewhere you should go without other plans after because the service here was quite slow, but it could have been the night. The crowds in the restaurant though didn't seem to be in a rush so the vibe really is to take your time to enjoy the meal. Tables here are quite small so be mindful when you are ordering because we over-ordered and definitely were a tight squeeze at our table. Don't let that stop you though! | WHAT TO TRY | + Korean style hotdogs - Nice crunch and cheese pull. I was surprised with this as it was one of the last things to get to our table and I thought this would be one of the first things to come out to start as an appetizer. + Pocha Wings (10 piece) - These were saucy! They had a nice coating (smaller size) but they had a great crunch. The wings were able to absorb then sauces but didn't get soggy. I liked the gochuchang flavor to contrast the soy and I don't see that too often on its own. + Haemul Pajeon - Wow what a crispy pancake! I really enjoyed how this was cooked and the crunch. It was definitely a larger size/flatter pancake. It was good but would have preferred it to be a little thicker with more toppings. + Tteobokki - Super chewy rice cakes! I've never had them so soft & chewy before so they were fun to eat. There was a good sauce and had a nice amount of fish cakes as well. A little tough though to eat with the chopsticks but could just be my skills. Prices here were slightly higher but I thought they were OK since the portion sizes were pretty big. People seemed to order the bossam and soups as well when looking at other tables. Overall, super cute and popular local restaurant. I had good food here my first time around but given wait times probably won't be my go to everytime.

Yelp
This place overtook a beloved restaurant that didn't make it through Covid but they kept the ambiance and vibes. 1st Street Pocha's take on Korean street eats is fun and inviting, the staff is kind to welcome you in and get you comfortable. I've had take out a few times but dined in and enjoyed the crispy calamari and wings---who can go wrong when it comes to fried foods?

Yelp
This place is a 10/10 , the first time I went here was in February, 2023, and I've been there 14 more time ever since. Every single time the food is amazing, and the service is great! The vibe of the restaurant is very nice, and cool. Overall I recommend trying here out because my cravings are always satisfied afterwards! (A 'must get' is tteok-bokki(rice cake) with ramen and cheese, chefs kiss)

Yelp
Finally, a place that does tteokbokki right! I was pleasantly surprised by all of the food and drinks that this little eommawa appa place had to offer. Note: It's very small even with seating outside. You'll need to place to a to-go order to sit out there. It's worth the wait if you can handle it and the Lychee beer is too yummy for it's own good (especially if you have a sweet tooth) We also purchased the Korean style hotdog and it was decent- I prefer the potato covered ones. The Spicy Sweet batter wings were good but, I'm telling you the tteokbokki is where it's at! The rice cakes were just right not mooshy and not rubbery and the sauce was perfection! I could drink it with or without the fish cake lol. Definitely a place to swing by and visit if ever you wonder what Korean street/drinking food is like. 1st Street Pocha is a very good representative of some popular Korean comfort food!

Yelp
Everything is super fresh. Very tasty wings. The crunch and flavors are on point. The noodles are flavorful.

Yelp
This is the spot for tteokbokki!! It's a small restaurant but super wholesome with korean music playing and all the kdramas/movies on the walls. The owner is so nice and always knows we don't want pork in our noddles ‍ Also good fried chicken and cheese corn! One of our fav places!!

Yelp
This place is tiny and narrow, so it easily gets packed. I recommend not going here with more than 3 or 4 people or you'll wait a while. Service is straight forward and quick. We only got the chicken and it was worth going here alone for that. Crispy, lots of meat on it, crunchy, and all of that good stuff. Get both the sweet spicy and garlic! Both gives you the variety of what you're probably craving. Definitely need to come back to try everything else.

Yelp
I really like this place! They do a good job making some yummy Korean foods. I really like the fish cake soup and the seafood pancake. I could eat those every day. The fried chicken is pretty good, the dumplings are pretty good and the udon noodles were just okay for me. There is still lots on the menu I want to try. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is a fun place to hang out with friends over a good dinner.

Yelp
As always, so delicious. The seafood pancake dipped in the rose teokbokki sauce is wayyyy too yummy to be legal The hostess who always serves us is super kind and sweet and fast! I love coming here with my friends & sister; it's the perfect spot to casually drink & grab a bite! I'm sure I've said this before but I love the music and vibes. Just super fun. The bathroom is always very clean too. Last time we stopped by, we also got the fried chicken, which was soooo juicy and crispy and BIG!! I loved it. Their menu never disappoints !

Yelp
Half and half chicken wings were crispy and good, tasted more like korean "gangjeong" with the slighly hard texture covered in sauce. The teokbokki was spicy but good. This place is more for people who want to come to drink rather than eat as the food prices are pretty expensive. I would recommend this restaurant only if you are getting drinks and want food as a side to alcohol.

Yelp
I really appreciate what 1st Street Pocha is trying to do for the Korean food scene in Beaverton. It's not trying to be like Nak Won, Koreana, nor Spring - serving up multiple banchan, rice and noodle dishes. Instead, it is a fun "bar food" experience. I will say that I was very skeptical at first of the restaurant that took the place of Du Kuh Bee, which had really been the late-night Korean staple of the area until it closed. However, upon hearing from a friend that they enjoyed the food, I went with a group of friends to try. It was good enough that we came back! I really enjoyed their Bossam and their chicken wings, but didn't love the tteokbokki as much as other reviews seem to. Their chicken are definitely HUGE. Not sure what chicken they're buying, but they are juicy and big portions. I also do love the sauces that they use. I do have a preference for spicier foods, and do like the spicy one a bit more, but the Soy Garlic is also super delicious! I also really enjoy their Bossam - the pork was very soft and the radish kimchi is one of my favorite sides. It is a great option for a group. Now the reason for docking the one star. The price does end up being quite a lot with a large group, and not sure that everyone actually got FULL from the meal. Additionally, we did try the corn dogs and the tteokbeokki, and both we did not really feel were worth it.

Yelp
Came in just for a quick bite. Service was fast! We got the half and half wings and the calamari. Calamari's batter was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce was delish. The pickled radish was a great palate cleanser for the wings. Wings had a good crunch and flavor. The restaurant is small, but we didn't have to wait at all for a table.

Yelp
Wow this place rocks. Located where duh kul bee is in Beaverton. There's street parking but It seems to always take time to find a space, esp since they closed a street for outdoor dining. Wings are awesome. Light with good sauce. Hot dog is amazing - crunchy and packed w gooey mortzerella. Will definitely come again

Yelp
I have heard great things from friends about this place and was finally able to come try it out on a Friday night! They have very limited space for a small and intimate vibe - not the best for big groups of people. With that said though, we were a group of 6 adults with my 6-month baby in her stroller. The waitress was super accommodating and put together 2 tables for us. All the tables were pretty close and even with the space they have in the back by the kitchen, there are only about 6 tables that can seat between 2-4 people each, very cozy! Now the food: - Corndogs were just OK, cheese and sausage on the inside with a light coating of the batter - it wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be - Rose tteokbokki had sausages in addition to all the normal things you see in this dish (rice cake, fish cake, hard boiled egg) it was a little too sweet for me but overall very tasty! - Now the Bossam (the pork dish) it came with cabbage leaves, radish kimchi, the squid banchan (I think) you put everything together it's the perfect combination of salty and spicy - highly recommend - Lastly, the Korean fired chicken wings. Honestly for almost $2/wing I definitely expected better? But the wings were crispy for sure! The spicy sauce tasted a little chalky but I liked the soy garlic one better Overall I think this is a great place if you want to try a variety of some staple Korean dishes. Just beware of the prices and the packed seating. Service was good for a busy restaurant that also offered take out.
