Very good authentic mexican food! Very flavorful. Great atmosphere at this restaurant. Family owned and ran they're very welcoming. Ordered for pickup and it was done and waiting on the counter when we got there. We are very pleased with our service and food! The Red enchiladas are AMAZING!

Google
A real family run place. Good food, good people. Very child friendly.

Google
Excellent food, friendly staff, cozy small place to get great authentic food. The salsa is by far the BEST I've had in months and too many Mexican restaurants to count. I had to get some to go to take back home to Missouri! If you find yourself in the area, go there!! You won't be disappointed. There's not a single item in the menu that doesn't look delicious.

Google
Pay attention to prices. I noticed the price on receipt was different than the one from menue. I asked them about it and was told it's processing card fee. I wish there was a sign or something to let customers before ordering.

Google
Good service. Great food. The meats were flavorful, tortilla chips and taco shells were fresh made and the salsa was excellent. The hot one is deliciously hot but not food killing. The green salsa was flavorful and pleasing to the pallet. The flautas were delicious, the chunks of avocado on top made the dish really stand out. The fried ice cream was huge. The triple scoop of vanilla ice cream was fried in a corn flakes crust set inside a fried flour tortilla and topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream and cherries 🍒 . Perfect for two people.

Google
Food was very salty and the horchata was like liquid sugar. I ordered a chicken meal that was suppose to have potatoes according to the menu but it was soggy french fries when my plate arrived. They didn't come to refill my drink until i was already finished. I waited 10 minutes to get the check and another 5 for them to come back for it.

Google
This is the BEST place for authentic Mexican food!! I'm a gringo who used to live in Mexico. I'm almost always disappointed at so called Mexican restaurants. But at 2 Luchos every single thing I tried was like abuelita made it at home! SO yummy! If you like tex-mex stick with all the other restaurants. If you like real Mexican food that tastes homemade, this little hole-in-the-wall spot is the best you'll find.

Google
The food was great, friendly staff and fast service. Definitely a good place to eat if you're in the area

Yelp
We tried to eat there but they closed up at 4 even though it said 6 on the website and the door and she just ducked her head out of the door quite rudely to tell us they were closed. We drove quite a long way to get there based on the website saying they were open. If they had a family emergency or something it would be understandable. But they were all just sitting around eating and laughing with their families or something like they made enough money today so customers can now screw off. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I'm sure they'll be out of business soon enough.

Yelp
We were shopping and came pass this little spot! The food was amazing!! I had the Chile verde and my daughter had the menudo and oh man so good! They were very welcoming attentive and friendly. I don't go out to eat Mexican food much but I will definitely come back to this spot.

Fran R.

Yelp
Yesterday I ordered 2 pozoles to go at 32oz and my usual spot usually feeds my family at the same Amount however at this restaurant they charge way more at 33.75$ for the 2 and when I poured them out I was very disappointed because I had got 2 humongous bones no meat barely a spoon full of hominy so I paid for liquid that was very bland I seriously was shocked and my 2kids said mom are they serious I was lost for words ...We love to support local mom and pop shop's and restaurants but we definitely will not go again overpriced liquid and a big rip off which nothing about the taste was authentic we really wanted to like it but at them prices you'd think you would get something edible... Definitely not recommending this spot to NOBODY!!! No Bueno!!!!!!!

Leland K.

Yelp
A weird vibe at this restaurant. Ordered dinner and a beer and basically was ignored. Everyone working there just sat around talking at the bar. Waitress finally brought my check. I paid for it with cash and asked for change for a $20 bill so I could give the waitress a tip. She said they didn't have change and was going to just keep the $20. I took the $20 back. What restaurant doesn't have change?? I won't be back which is too bad. My search for a good neighborhood restaurant isn't looking too hopeful.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is great as well. The food had reached beyond my expectations and was authentic. The setting of the inside reminds me of home and it is very peaceful. I enjoyed my visit

Yelp
The place says it's Mexican and Peruvian. However the only Peruvian thing they have on the menu is lomo saltado and it wasn't good. The yuca fries were stale and they didn't even have Inca kola. The server is nice but the menu is very deceiving and must be updated.
google avatar

Taylor P.

Yelp
The pictures on here are like..... if you were on a dating app and got catfished. The food was tasty but not what I had expected at all. The Peruvian food they offer is only 1 dish and it's the lomo saltado. They have Inca cola on the menu but they don't have it in the restaurant. My advice, if you're looking for quality Peruvian food, head to Denver. There's a much better restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm always on the lookout for Peruvian food. This place is in a strip mall next to a dollar tree but the food was delicious. I had the pork chops Peruvian style with rice. Definitely not Lima but pretty damn good for the middle of nowhere. Most of the menu is Mexican but I'll be back to try the Chaufa.

Yelp
Feeling a bit adventuresome and have experienced Peruvian food in Peru (and we didn't want to wait for Super Taco next door), we decided to stop in. It is really a sit down restaurant but they provide takeout, which is what we did. We went in the evening, and the food was restaurant quality. They have a complete menu with everything we wanted: chicken quesadillas, posole, chili rellenos, and tacos Carnitas, the usual beans and rice, and horchatas. I always have low expectations for the rice and beans and was not disappointed, though passable. However, the posole had big chunks of pork with flavorful soup; the batter made the cheese stuffed chilis delicious; the tacos came with a green salsa and avocado slices; and the quesadillas were garnished with avocado slices, tomato, and lettuce. At home we did some sharing and we were quite filled. I did talk with one owner about the Peruvian fare. Given the good taste of this meal, I certainly would be willing to try these dishes. While waiting I observed their cozy dining area with a bar, warm atmosphere, including Latin ambient music even with a lighted stage speaker. And who can beat a name like 2 Lucho's!

Yelp
Finally tried this place out because Ive heard great things from people. I've never had lomo saltado before but saw a photo of it one day and was craving it. It was surprisingly delicious and satisfying and had great flavors to it. A bit on the salty side though in my opinion. The burrito was only alright, nothing special or outstanding about it. It was very smothered in cheese & bean sauce which we didn't expect. Would come back again!

Yelp
The flavor of the food is amazing. Service is awesome and they treat you like family.

Yelp
This is a regular lunch spot for myself and a co-worker. I don't know much about Peruvian food, but I have never been disappointed by 2 Luchos food. Even if you aren't sure you would like Peruvian, the Mexican dishes are great. It's a safe place to 'try something new'.
google avatar

Amanda V.

Yelp
Great great customer service, they sat us right away cleaned the tabel, got us drinks.

Marc S.

Yelp
Really bad Peruvian food. I've been to a handful of Peruvian restaurants, and this was the worst I've ever had by far. The lomo saltado had soggy fries and the sauce was way to watery. Typically, Peruvian food comes with a cilantro sauce, this didn't. The chicken dish was even more watery, and included chicken and onions. That's it. Plus the food was way overpriced.
google avatar

Katy G.

Yelp
No Peruvian, it is more Mexican than Peruvian. Arroz con Mariscos not so good , bisteck a la chorrillana was better.

Mercie C.

Yelp
Tasty lunch stop. Fried Tostones-so good. Had the Peruvian noodles & steak dish. Husband had carne asada with shrimp. Would go back!!

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by the owner's daughter. Naturally we took her recommendation with a grain of salt, seeing as she might be a tad biased. Fortunately, she was not wrong. The food was authentic and full of flavor. You can really taste the difference between fresh, house made food and frozen, re-heated "food" and there was no question about the quality of the food at 2 Luchos. We, literally could taste every ingredient. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and didn't miss a beat. She was on it like a boss! More importantly, this is a local, family owned business that deserves our support. We plan to be back and eventually try everything on their menu as I'm sure it's all delicious.

Yelp
I don't know what these reviews are about but I was not happy with my meal! I tried their steak nachos and the meat was dry and flavorless..the queso was too thick! It was just melted cheese and I think they tried to make it into a queso but they failed. I was with about 8 people and no one was thrilled with their meal. Find another place to eat!

Yelp
It was my very first visit here. The salsa and chips we received we're very good. The salsa tastes homemade and had a nice heat to it with a rich depth of flavor. I ordered the 'number one' combo with crispy relleno, cheese enchilada, and a pork tamal. The combo came with beans and rice with a salad garnish. It was very tasty. The menu has many Peruvian and Mexican delicacies, with an extensive soup and appetizer selection. My friend had the Peruvian Chinese fused 'arroz chaufa'. It was delicious. It was loaded with chicken, eggs and bacon and had a great smoky flavor to it. The service was attentive and friendly. It's a great family operation and they have a bar for adult beverages. That's always a plus. I will be back!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
This place is delicious! The rotisserie chicken was so moist and flavorful. And the Aji sauce was spicy but not too much. I really loved the yucca fries. Crispy on the outside and soft inside like a great Belgian frite. We tried the papas and boiled egg with cheese sauce as an appetizer. It was surprising in a good way. The flavor palate was different than anything I have ever eaten. The chef took time to make recommendations and told us about his imported oven from Peru. All in all a good experience. We will be back to try it again.

Yelp
Do not recommend paid 15.00 for carne asada and received a burrito. They wouldn't answer when I called to let them know either. Soggy, gross. Bleh also paid for dessert and I never got it.
google avatar

Travelin C.

Yelp
Who would expect Peruvian cuisine in a stripmall on south Academy, really GOOD Peruvian food? Don't miss an opportunity to sample their ''Chaufa'' rice entrees! They are outstanding! Service is great - attentive without hovering, menu diversity is first class. It all adds up to one of the best choices for lunch or dinner in miles.

Erica D.

Yelp
Lomo saltado tooo salty; maybe the soy sauce marinada was too much. Tzatziki sauce not good at all, made from sour cream: nope not good. Enchiladas was okay; sauce was a little runny as oppose to chunky.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
Great food. Steak, Chicken, Pork. Rice plates. Homemade deserts, like Flan, Sopas. Good prices and the staff is very friendly. I will be coming back with my work crew.
google avatar

Larry M.

Yelp
That was probably the best fajitas I have ever had. The onions and peppers were perfectly caramelized and sweet. The meat was delicious and hot. The shrimp was seasoned and salty but I loved it. The only complaint I had was that were a little skimpy on the beans rice and lettuce etc. not worth dropping a star though. The chips and salsa were great. Salsa was delicious and very hot, just the way I like it. The place is small and quaint with a small bar if you are inclined. Server was friendly and not intrusive at all. Cost was outstanding. Very inexpensive. Over all, I heartily recommend this place to everyone that likes Mexican or Latin American food.
google avatar

Yelp
We were very disappointed by this Peruvian/Mexican restuarant. We are Peruvian and excited to find a familiar place while visiting Colorado springs. We ordered the simplest of food and it was bad in everyway. The restuarant itself is dumpy. I believe if they just would visit a couple of the delicious Peruvian restaurants in Denver they would learn alot.
google avatar

Yelp
Very Warm People. Great Place, I'm Peruvian but I do love Mexican Food, And Mexican People Are the best, Had The Chicken Dinner With Red Sauce Mole, Theirs Was A little Too Sweet, And Mexicans Had Spoiled Me In Colorado Springs With Some Great Mole Sauces. Peruvian drink to go, Inca Kola, can only find it in Wholes Foods, all was under $20 Would Come Back to Try Peruvian Food, I was craving salchi papas!!!! Ty!
google avatar

Heidi L.

Yelp
Ordered delivery, took about an hour to get the food. Food came with French fries all mixed in with my chicken and sauce so needless to say it's all soggy and my spicy red pepper chicken is anything but spicy. Didn't even order French fries. The menu advertises that it comes with potatoes and onions not French fries. Pretty disappointed I spent $30 and an hour of my life on this place
google avatar

Arelly A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to get sea food! I love the caguameras, they're delicious. I also enjoy the tostadas de camarón and the cóctel de camarón! My husband loves their burritos de asada. Oh and if you like spicy food their enchiladas are amazing !!
google avatar

Julio G.

Yelp
This place has been my 2nd home while on vacation in Colorado Springs and man is their food the bomb!! Not to mention the micheladas are legit yo!!
google avatar

Cathleen W.

Yelp
A small restaurant with freshly made Peruvian food to include the best shrimp cocktail and shrimp ceviche in town! The shrimp cocktail can vary from mild to spicy so be prepared! They also have Inca Cola which is a hard to find Coca~Cola product! Try it - better than creme soda :)
google avatar

Keila R.

Yelp
I'm writing this as I sit here and try to eat this awful lomo saltado. It's my second time coming here and I thought I would try it again. ITS AWFUL. The rice is hard, they don't have the typical aji sauce and the meat tastes old. The place is very clean and the staff are nice but it's doesn't make up for the horrible lomo saltado, will not be coming back. I've made/had lomo in Peru and Los Angeles and it should not taste like this
google avatar

Brad Y.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on accident, but driven by curiosity we decided to see what Luchos meant and what Peruvian food was like. The staff was extremely friendly and patient with my barrage of questions and the food was outstanding. Of the entrees, I stuck to the Peruvian (a small Greek menu is available) and asked what was the most Peruvian of the selections. I was assured that the main menu was all Peruvian but that Lomo Salteado and Bistec a la Chorrillana were the most popular items. I went with the Lomo Salteado--Peruvian beef stir fry--and was not disappointed. The menu appears unique without being inaccessible. I strongly encourage everyone to give it a shot, and I hope to return soon to try more of the menu.
google avatar

Albert M.

Yelp
Next to no food, very pricy. I won't ever be coming back here. Food tasted okay, but the aji was not as spicy as I was used to, and they charged a dollar for a couple teaspoons. Unless you want to overpay to leave hungry, don't go here. I'm going to McDonald's after this. Staff was nice though
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
I would actually give this place a 6 star rating if I could. Came in honestly not expecting it to meet the high ratings other yelpers had posted. Non-descrip location, casual laid back vibe but the food and service was unbelievably good! We had beef heart appetizer which at the mention of had my kids turning their noses up in disgust until it arrived. They gobbled it down and I only got a single piece of delicious goodness! Fries were awesome and everything we ordered was perfect. tip... listen to Jazz...her recommendations were perfect just like her service! Even got some fried ice cream to end the meal...yummy! This place kicks butt! GREAT service, reasonable prices and fab food...who could have believed it! YOU won't regret this place if you like food! Big portions too!
google avatar

Erica R.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff! The burritos are huge and full of flavor. Decently priced with huge portions. I always love finding whole in the wall places they're always amazing.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Now they deliver! It said delivery would be about 90 min but it was here in 20min. Their food, as always, is delicious!!! Love this place and their great dedication to service.

Sally C.

Yelp
friendly people, however the cleanliness is not there. the sign says mexican and peruvian but the peruvian food is not very good. the sauce is watery, too salty and no herbs whatsoever. sad i was hoping to find great new place to eat.
google avatar

Christian N.

Yelp
Definitely not the Peruvian food that I am accustomed to. I would be embarrassed to take anyone here for Peruvian food.

Va N.

Yelp
This is no longer a Peruvian place. They do not have the whole chicken as a choice on the menu. The food was ok nothing especial. Great service.

Anabel D.

Yelp
Delicious food and excellent service. Would Definitely go back! Definitely recommend!!! Great Authentic Mexican food
google avatar

Juan H.

Yelp
This place is nothing like a peruvian restaurant. Too expensive, some days they have pollo a la brasa and some days they don't. The food is not that good at all. Very upset, I wish there were more Peruvian restaurants in Colorado Springs. If I had the choice I wouldn't give this a one star.

Steph G.

Yelp
The menu on yelp is inaccurate and 3 years old. This place is dirty very small and poor quality food. We chose it b/c of the menu as I have specific dietary issues. Very frustrating. I feel yelp should check on the accuracy of these places on occasion. They have a full bar but the waitress manning the bar had never heard of Tito's but upon further inspection did have it but didn't know how to make basic drinks.
google avatar

Alvin K.

Yelp
They get a 2 because of the service....as for the food, being that I am peruvian, I expected way better. The ceviche was not good at all, it tasted like the fish was packaged fish and not fresh fish, the food was too soggy. I invited a couple of people to try peruvian food who have never tried it before, big mistake. The food was not absolutely terrible but man it was mediocre at best. I do not know how they got such high reviews but I guess.....anyways the service though was good, I cannot complain about that
google avatar

Norka A.

Yelp
Tried the ceviche and pollo a la brasa. Ceviche tasted watered down, and the chicken was a bit dry and not as flavorful. The food was mediocre at best. Our waitress was very nice though. Overall, didn't taste like authentic Peruvian food.
google avatar

Margarita M.

Yelp
The food was OK... Their ceviche sucked, it couldn't have been in the citrus juice long enough because it was still 'uncooked'. Thankfully we sent it back & wasn't charged for it since it was $15. SO not worth it. At least the staff was nice.

Nannette N.

Yelp
I really like this place! Food is very good! Service is amazing! Prices are good. I am always impressed they remember me and what my favorite beer is. I always feel welcome.
google avatar

Brenda M.

Yelp
Very disappointed, went in last week and was expecting greatness. but a las it was not to be. The food was not flavorful. Rice was hard, beans were bland and the rotisserie chicken was dry! How can that be???? I will not be going back. Can do much better at home for the price.
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
Great Latin cuisine at a great price. There are still some holdovers on the menu from the previous ownership like baklava, but giving the Peruvian fare a shot is what counts. The staff is really friendly and I loved that they informed me of the custom old school smoker that they use. I had their very flavorful roasted chicken with off the charts sides of aji (garlic sauce), and black beans & rice. I will definitely be back for the flan and more!
