"Come for Thai staples like papaya salad and pad thai, stay for Laotian specialities like yum nham kow tod (a crispy rice and sour pork mixture served with lettuce wraps) and flavorful, deep-friend Lao sausages. 2 Rim Khong combines the best of Thai and Laotian cuisine in a menu that offers something for both the adventurous and the traditionalist in the family. A more pedestrian lunch buffet is offered, but the full dinner menu is really where the action’s at." - Matt Lardie

Google
Pad Thai and Pad See Eew were amazing. Mango sticky rice was best I’ve ever had. Also tried the cheese wantons (not pictured) and wish it came with refills! Service was great and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
Good food. No compromise on the ingredients - beef salad was seasoned with fresh lime juice and Thai chilli flakes and you can taste the freshness everything. Beef was tender and juicy even when thinly sliced. The green curry could use a few more Thai basil to add aromatics to the curry broth. But have to say it is pretty to curry back home as is... Comparéd to the last few curries I've had! The chicken breast was tender, the curry was well simmered, the aromatics was near perfection. Not the mention the portion and awesome price point! Alvin, my waiter, was outstanding! Kept checking on me and made sure I had everything I needed for my meal.

First time here. It was a recommendation from my doctors’s office. I’m so glad we tried it. The food was awesome and the service amazing. We had the buffet. It was a great way to try many of the foods we were unsure of like paypaya salad. Everything we tried was so good. We will definitely be back.

Google
Thai and Laos Delight! Spectacular to say the least. Food along with the service is top notch! I wish we found this place sooner. We will definitely continue to patronize this establishment. I can’t wait to try others on the menu! You have to try the dessert (dumplings). It was a pleasant surprise!

Google
Didn’t know they had a buffet. Wow was I surprised. Curry soup and the coconut soup were the best. Lots of authentic Thai/Vietnamese food I’ve experienced. Just look at the photos. Even better in person. Spent less than 30 that included the special mango with sticky rice and coconut milk dish.

Friendly staff. Food was very flavorful and very generous portions. The Mango Sticky Rice is amazing!!

Google
The food was absolutely delicious, but the service was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and ready to help throughout our extended meal. Left full and with plenty of leftovers after paying a very reasonable price. Thank you for a great dining experience

Google
My FAVORITE place to go for thai food. The portions are LARGE and very easy to share. The duck fried rice was wonderful and the skin of the duck was crispy without being oily, one of the best duck dishes i’ve had. Absolutely large spring rolls that were so good and fresh, they were the size of a medium burrito which blew me away

Yelp
Our food was delicious and plentiful. Katie was hospitable and very responsive to our needs. The restaurant was comfortable and we will definitely return.

Shikha S.

Yelp
The food was simply delicious. Portion sizes were bigger than what we typically get at a Thai restaurant. Spice level was bang on and the service was quick. Our server was polite and friendly.

Sookia S.

Yelp
I was craving Thai and called in an order after work. The order was prepared and ready when I arrived. The spice level was perfect. The portions were very generic. My husband and I ate off of our food for two days.

Mikalia G.

Yelp
Have been twice. I liked the buffet because you can try different things, but the quality of the buffet food is not quite as good as other menu items. Friendly service. Really enjoy the wings and the larb.

Margaret S.

Yelp
Come here hungry! We ordered a feast and were impressed by everything! One group member had a peanut allergy and another had celiacs. Our waitress brought out a chef to go over everything and make sure our food was gluten free, and they even gave us peanuts on the side for the pad thai. Truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Food was impeccable and service was great. We recommend getting things mild, it was just enough spice but also flavorful. We are coming up with another reason to visit Fayetteville so we can come back! Our recommendations: 2. Fresh rolls (ate them too quickly to get a picture) 6. chicken satay (a surprising favorite) 45 Panang Curry chicken 49 pad Thai chicken 40 Laos sausage 37 lard beef 52 pud khee mao house Gai pad med

Edgar P.

Yelp
Pud bi graw pow (with ground pork; medium spicy): Fantastic! So flavorful and the spicy was just right for us. Yum Nham Kow Tod: Delicious and interesting! I liked eating it with lime and lettuce. The chunks of crunchy rice were interesting. Papaya salad laos (medium spicy; with sticky rice): Tasty but the spice level was waaay beyond my spice tolerance ^_^'. I will get it mild next time. Thai pink milk: it was my first time trying this. it wasn't s as sweet as I'd imagined, but interesting aroma akin to jackfruit veggies spring rolls: good crunch

Yelp
Visiting the area and saw that this was the most authentic Thai and Lao restaurant in the area. The first night I ordered Pad Thai and with Lao Sausages and sticky rice. Lao sausages and sticky are a staple in a Laotian household. Wish they had "jeow-bong" a chili dipping paste to go along with lao sausages. The pad Thai was traditional, missing peanut crumbles though, and the green onions advertised. There was a hiccup on both deliveries, but after accessing the situation it made sense. Anything delivered near fort Bragg may have extended delivery time. Still giving this establishment 5 stars due to their authentic food and customer service. Delivery is the only option I have now, I hope one day I can dine in. Tonight's order was another round of Lao Sausages with steam rice this time. Spicy Basil Fried Rice house combo and drunken Noodles house combo. Check out photos.

Yelp
Great Restaurant! We ordered pick up and inhaled the food before we could even take some pictures. The food was very authentic and they gave us a big portion. It was definitely delicious

Cara D.

Yelp
Holy cow! Or at least chicken. It really doesn't look like much, a hole in the wall at a strip mall however I had the drunkards noodles here one of my favorites and they did not disappoint. Excellent, reasonably priced and huge serving that could probably feed two, with some room left over for mango, which looked delicious but I just couldn't. Fair warning though, despite there being four heat levels; mild, medium, hot and Thai hot, medium is pretty spicy. It would probably qualify as hot in some other places, I'm not a complete light weight but drained several glasses of water (your mileage may vary). Definitely hit this place up again!

Jourdan S.

Yelp
We ordered takeout on Thanksgiving Eve for our family dinner. Although, I am not a world traveler, many of my family are and considered the quality of all the dishes comparable to their international experiences. The food was delicious, the website easy to navigate. This will be one of our top go to restaurants. Thank You to the staff at 2 Rim Khong for a really delicious meal. :0)

Genn P.

Yelp
Nice service, staff are very friendly. Servings are huge with very affordable price... everything's yummy will definitely come back

Sath S.

Yelp
First off: 4 stars food -1 on delivery. Being from SoCal I have high standard for my southeast Asian food. Here on military orders (My opinion based off what I'm raised around) Delivery- ordered online @630, supposed to be delivered by 730 but didn't get here til 900. I'm a patient guy but my stomach ain't lol. I think the food would of been great overall if it was dine in, fresh n hot. Will try dine in next time if time available. Ordered everything the hottest spice because being Asian I love spicy food. Beef Pad see ew was warm & some of the meat didn't taste like beef, unless they used a diff cut of beef (doubt it) it was mushy. I hope they didn't used old recycle beef from other dishes, beef didn't taste consistent or maybe they used a tenderizer on their beef. I did appreciate the Chinese broccoli(love em), not all Asian place here have them. Another restaurant around here said it was too expensive LMAO. Don't call your food Thai. Overall 4 stars Spicy chicken wings & papaya salad was FIRE! Taste somewhat like homemade or my local restaurants. 5stars Overall I appreciate the option to have Thai/Laos food in the area. Not just Chinese food. When it comes to "Asian food"

Courtney O.

Yelp
The food was so good and very filling. I asked for spicy and they delivered. I was satisfied with the meal, the taste and definitely the serving size. The amount of food offered on the Pad Thai is shareable for a small group because they give so much and the flavor lives through every single but.

Jessica J.

Yelp
The food is just ok. Service is great. I ordered out but I have eaten inside before and the ambiance is nice.

Miranda Z.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Each food Ive tried is great. Especially love the drunken noodles, red duck curry, and pad thai. Love the dessert options also. Service is always very attentive and on point. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai food.

Leopoldo D.

Yelp
The food is delicious the price is fair and the staff are nice definitely coming back

Kylie M.

Yelp
You can't get anything more authentic than 2 Rim Khong! My favorite all time item is the Lao style larb, the spiciness and flavor is just unbeatable. I had a very large order but Billy was very patient with taking my order, and service was really fast! I can't wait to try more of the items on the menu.

Mary T.

Yelp
This is the most unassuming hole in the wall. No expense has been made on decor or ant type of decorating theme but it is very clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. If you had to base your willingness to eat there on looks....you'd never eat there. But wait!! 2Rhim is a diamond in the rough (very rough)! It is unarguably the BEST Thai food you will find in Fayetteville. They do a brisk business and take out was hopping. The heat (pain scale) index is accurate although the staff assumes Americans are wimps when it come to spice.....so be sure you can take Thai hot if you order it. Let me emphasize this place is very clean!! The food is outstanding and cooked to perfection. The chef used to be at Chopstix and has brought his skills to this family run business. No matter what you order, it will be perfection. The portions are extremely generous and the flavors are robust. I highly reccomend eating here.

Ben H.

Yelp
This place has the best pad thai in the area! Close to base and quick turn around time. Also, if you've never had their thai iced coffee...yea, get on it!!!

Taylor N.

Yelp
Coming from California, trying to find good Thai food in NC was something I honestly gave up on. Until I tried 2 rim Khong last night! Wow wow wow. I usually say "it's good for NC" but THIS place is just GOOD. Period! The pad Thai is perfectly sauced and spicy, SO much flavor. The only critique I have is the Thai tea was way too sweet, but some people like it like that so no biggy! I'm so happy I found this place and I'll be a regular for sure. Also the customer service was awesome. Quick and super nice!

Rhonda T.

Yelp
Food and service were wonderful, just don't expect great ambiance at this store-front restaurant. We came here because we wanted Thai food but couldn't find anyone else in the area open on a Sunday! We were not disappointed! We split an order of spring rolls that were really good despite being slightly over cooked. We ordered Chicken Lo Mein and Drunken Noodles w/ chicken, both mildly spiced. My daughter liked her dish but thought it got spicier as she ate it (She's a bit of a wimp with spicy). I loved my drunken noodles, and was happy I ordered it mild. We also ordered a dessert (name?). It was warm sweet sticky rice with mango on top with sweetened coconut milk drizzled over it. It was Heaven!! Save room for it! We both had leftovers from our main dish. (Enough to feed us again PLUS a 12 & 14 year old!). All we added to the next day's meal was some frozen spring rolls we had on hand. The food was terrific, even as leftovers!!

Daren W.

Yelp
Very mediocre food. Not bad, but definitely not what the ratings suggest. We had the fried rice and General's Thao chicken.

Shannon B.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way out of Fayetteville and was pleasantly surprised. We love Thai food and try it any chance we get. Unfortunately we JUST missed the buffet but all the food we ordered was prepared well and very flavorful. The dumplings were fantastic! I got the spicy basil and while I'm not a fan of a bunch of vegetables in that dish, it was made traditionally with ground chicken and tasted great. My husband's drunken noodles were good too from what I could tell because he likes burn your face off hot and I'm not about that lifestyle. My medium spicy was a little hot for me but I like the taste of the chilis so I didn't mind. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place. We'll try to come back in time for the lunch buffet next time!

Renuka D.

Yelp
Super services received by us was commendable. Food and Thai drinks are authentic and we always return for their best quality food.

Darin F.

Yelp
This place is why I will never be skinny, also type of place that makes Fayetteville food scene worth the visits! Simply amazing Thai and Loas Food, flavors are incredible and the portions are worth every penny. The wife and I usually get 2 meals out of every dish, although it's extremely hard to not finish and willingly suffer the over-stuff feeling. I turned the people at work on to it and no one has had anything they didn't love. From the Pad Thai, to the Duck Red Curry to the Tom Kha soups, everything is worth it

Trivia F.

Yelp
This was a bitter sweet moment and I'll be ok with continuing my journey for my Thai restaurant in Fayetteville. I saw the reviews and decided to give it a shot. The wait was incredibly long for a simple fried rice. I understand there was a large order but 40 mins Ontop of the experience and order was not worth it. I ordered a medium Thai fried rice spice is flavor to me. So when the rice burned my lips I knew I had been given the wrong order. I like to enjoy spice with the flavor of the meal it should never over power it because then that's all I could focus on. I took it back in only to be placated down to. The gentleman at the bar began to joke about how I couldn't take the heat. After repeatedly telling him medium is a spice level I get everywhere. He patted me on the back (which was very disturbing) and joked with the kitchen staff about it. So then I was given some sweet plain fried rice with no spice or flavor. I gave the meal to someone on the street. To have to fix and doctor my meal because the guy wanted to make light of the situation just didn't sit well with me. While I'm sure the food is great the experience put a bad taste in my mouth. Before trying the food these experiences are far and few this one did not make my day and trip driving through Fayetteville.

Khadijah B.

Yelp
I ordered the Pud Thai with a spice level of medium. Not only is the portion size decent and was delivered in a timely manner, the medium spice level packs a punch so I can only imagine how spicy the highest spice level is! I love that the peanuts come on the side as well. Def recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Amazing Laos/ Thai place in Fayetteville. The store owner and employees are nice, very professional, and very welcoming. Their buffet options are to die for. If you want to try some authentic Thai/Laos food hand down this is the place you want to be. Overalll experience 10/10

Andy L.

Yelp
Battle and I came here one evening as we were craving for Thai and yelped the closest one from us and viola. Location wise- it is perfect it's right outside the Yadkin gate, very close to my place. The strip mall where this is located has plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is decent looking, not too fancy. We went in, and the place was nearly empty, with only a couple sitting down eating. We decided to order to-go. And guess what, we had to wait. I know, I have been warned to call ahead but this is our first time ordering here so we wanted to see their menus. We ordered their fried rice with all meats and shrimp. The food was delicious, it was flavorful. The serving was for two people or for two meals, but I was able to finish it because I am a proud voracious eater. I would recommend this to anybody who has never had Thai pried rice or has never been to this place. My first time was excellent, except the waiting time was very long, it could have been shorter but I guess they had called in orders prior to us arriving. So, I guess, the tip is to call ahead for to-go orders.

Katie N.

Yelp
I came in for lunch today and was greeted by the nice ladies who we're working there. I decided to try the $8.95 lunch buffet and it did not disappoint. They had a large selection of fresh food such as Pad Thai, spicy rice noodles, curries, egg rolls, veggies and salads. The flavors we're on point and you can't beat the amazing deal. They are also very pro-military which was very nice. Over all, I would definitely come back.

Brandon T.

Yelp
The food is always delicious. Just had the drunken noodles and let me tell you it instantly made my day better. I can't believe I haven't tried it from here before. I would definitely recommend it.

Christina G.

Yelp
This place opened 5 months ago. Honestly, I didn't have a good first impression when I first walked in for dinner. The 2 staff members were in super casual attire, wearing torn jeans with several holes. They're entitled to wear whatever they want, but they certainly did not look professional at all. It also felt odd that there wasn't a place closer to the front door to greet customers as they walked in. However, the food made up for the initial impression. I had Chicken Pad Thai ($10.99), boyfriend had Chicken Green Curry ($9.99). We both asked for Mild, but my boyfriend's meal ended up being more like a Medium instead. I greatly appreciated that my Pad Thai had the bean sprouts mixed in and cooked, rather than raw and lumped into a pile on the side. My meal was sweet and full of flavor, loved it! It was also fantastic in terms of portion size. The curry had great flavor too and was filled with tons of strips of bamboo shoots, if only it was not so spicy.... The server was friendly, but it was sometimes hard to get his attention, even though there was only one other group dining at the time. The table that we were seated at was sticky as well. Food was good, but they could work more on the venue's presentation.

Pj P.

Yelp
We enjoyed a great meal at this family owned restaurant that serves authentic Thai and Laotian cuisine. The Laos papaya salad was exceptional, fresh spicy, crunchy, sweet and sour ... wow! We paired the salad with fish cakes, seafood pho and crispy fish. All were excellent!

Mark P.

Yelp
This restaurant is close to Bragg. Great selection of food on the buffet. The establishment is very clean and the food is always fresh. Service is efficient and friendly. I'd recommend you give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! My mouth is watering as I write this review.

Dugg F.

Yelp
Hands down the flavors are on point. The lunch buffet is perfect for quick in and out, and the cooks are constantly making a fresh bash of everything. Their regular menu is perfect to sit down and eat or to-go. Don't take my word for it, just check it out for yourself. Just don't go on Mondays, they are closed (Just FYI)

Charles W.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. Wow. This place is beyond incredible. The Pad Thai is to die for. The curries are off the chizzain. Place has me going insane in the membrane. 15/10 recommend. Enormous servings. Must try!

Basil F.

Yelp
Didn't even know about Thai Curry till I came here and now I'm all about it. If you don't like big bold flavors, then walk away before you get hurt, cause this is an intense, vibrant, and magical trip to flavor-town

Krisna S.

Yelp
I love this place!!!! Being Cambodian, it's so hard to find any restaurants similar to the food my mama makes. If it's not California, then there isn't ANY authentic Khmer restaurants. This place comes closest to it due to the similarity of the cultures. They have an extensive menu of fried rice, curries, soups, pad Thai! They also have a lunch buffet Monday through Friday at 1100 to 1400, which I think is awesome. Along with a buffet and regular menus, they do delivery. So what can go wrong?? I ordered the salt & pepper steak/beef and it was decent but you could tell the vegetables were very fresh. The downside is, their Thai tea is way too sweet that the taste of the tea is immensely masked by the sweetness. They also have 10% off for military on a select day of the week. Do come check out this restaurant.

Kate A.

Yelp
I wonder what happened to their shrimp portions? It shrunk tremendously. I always come here for house special Thai fried rice and the shrimp was a large size. Not worth it- mini shrimp. I hope they bring back the regular shrimp.

Blanka A.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, is the food amazing! It does not look like much from outside but the food is to die for. Had it once when first visiting Fayetteville because it was in proximity of the hotel. The food exceeded all my expectations. The fresh rolls are aromatic and fresh and they noodles perfectly spices with a good amount of veggies and meat. The noodles are al dente with a flavorful bite and even the pan seared edges here there are delicious. My leftovers below have been thoroughly picked for veggies last night. This is going to be our go to take out Friday evening food.

Priscilla G.

Yelp
One star Food taste good, second star they fast, third star amount is decent. As you se win photo they charged me 3 dollars extra for combination meat that can hardly see and shrimp are the small frozen ones ain't worth the extra, a lot of rice but not balance with meat not to see only like 5 pieces of broccoli with 3 cucumbers slices and one raw tomato cut in 4. Total of $15.11 kinda expensive

Anjelica G.

Yelp
Really impressed with this place! Just moved here from Arizona and this beats 98% thai spots out there by far. So authentic.

Cierra G.

Yelp
I like this place, I'd probably go back if I'm on this side of town and craving a delicious Asian dish. I was off one day and had a double craving for Asian cuisine, as well as seafood, but I decided to go with the former. I hopped on Yelp and looked for good reviews of Asian places and this place stuck out amongst all the rest. First of all, I'm upset that I never ate at this restaurant when I lived on the side of town where it's located, plus, it's literally just outside of the Yadkin road gate! Just as you're getting ready to turn left at the light onto Fillyaw or go straight thru the light onto post, this place sits on your left, in a little plaza. I entered the establishment around 12:30 pm and it wasn't really busy, so I was greeted immediately, seated quickly and I was able to attack the buffet within seconds of entering the building. I devoured a plate of mushrooms, a spring roll and two types of noodles with veggies (there is a name for the noodles, but I don't remember); I had two plates of this type of combination and water. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because of the rude employee, who felt the need to interrupt me as I was asking another server about some of the items on the buffet.

Jinju K.

Yelp
2 Rim Khong might be my new favorite Thai restaurant in Fayetteville! I heard really good things about this place and reading the Yelp reviews also made me really excited to try the food here. Their House Pad Thai is fantastic -- so flavorful and plentiful of meat. I'm a huge Thai foodie so it makes me happy to see that this place has good quality and authentic Thai food. Their House Thai Fried Rice is also wonderful. Plentiful of veggies, meat, and overall, very very good. Great prices, especially for the amount you get. Food came out at a reasonable time and waiter was attentive. I definitely recommend this place. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch buffet!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
All I have to say is, Fam we found our spot. So my kids are super picky about their food. We have tried several Asian eateries but there is always at least one complaining. Well, I had NO kids complaints and even the hubby was satisfied. We are definitely ordering again. The location has a sketchy vibe (it is not well lit) but the guys inside were super nice and even helped me carry our food to my car.

Marbella M.

Yelp
My husband ordered a plate of white rice and chicken and loved it I tried the green pork curry and fell in love! I have tried a number of places for curry but this is just

Soul V.

Yelp
Pretty good Thai restaurant. Haven't had any bad meals. Their portions are great. Very similar to the "asian express" types in the area, rightfully so since it was started by the same cook, Gaeng. Unfortunately, Gaeng isn't there anymore but they have learned the craft well and execute the dishes pretty seamlessly. Favorites: Thai fried rice with roast pork. Pad prig. Spicy chicken wings. Goi. Pad woon sen.

Yelp
A Solid 5/5 - I've eaten here now a few dozen times, both in the restaurant, call-ahead order pick-up on my way home from work, and using their home delivery service via their website. Every time I've been impressed by the taste of the food, their quality, and impressive customer service. All the dishes I've tried have been flavorful, fresh made, high quality, and well-portioned. Their customer service is impeccable. The owners are pleasant when serving you in the restaurant. Love the lunch buffet, too. They quickly prepare your food when you call ahead for pickup. And when ordering delivery from their website, I'm always impressed how quickly it arrives and how it's well-packaged. Also, never had a problem ordering from their website (very easy to use), or being told they're out of an item listed on their website. Somehow this restaurant has managed to pull off that perfect balance of feeling like a small friendly neighborhood restaurant, where everything is well-prepared and customer-focused...while somehow still running like a well-oiled machine, and offering things bigger restaurants offer like a well-designed website, fast delivery service, lunch buffet, and extremely consistent quality and service. Not sure how they do it but this restaurant is very well run/managed, and it shows. I highly recommend this restaurant and think they're deserving of a 5/5 rating. I have yet to discover any flaws and love eating there. Well done!

Sherille B.

Yelp
Great authentic food!!! Everything I've ordered has been delicious. Spring rolls, curry duck, noodles soup. Never dissatisfied
