This was my first visit to 2 Scoops but definitely not my last! I Googled ice cream shops and several came up, but most all were closed for the winter season. Not 2 Scoops! They're also way more than just an ice cream shop. Although their 18 ice cream options are prolific, don't get me started on the pies I saw in their display case (next trip will include pies!). Upon arrival. The shop was bright, clean and well organized. So many shops get a little messy behind the counter. Not 2 Scoops! This meshed well with my OCD and I didn't have to second guess the quality, since everything was on display and clean and organized. We were warmly greeted by the owner and her husband immediately upon walking through the door. She asked my friend and me if it was our first visit, to which we replied yes. She began to explain the 18 ice cream options and flavors, letting us know which ones were most popular and her personal favorites. She was rattling them all off in her best and most knowledgeable saleswoman speech, which is far more than most every other ice cream seller I've visited. She also explained their food options, which were plenty. Chili dogs, pizza and brisket, just to name a few. They also have non dairy ice cream options for those who don't want or can't have dairy. My friend and I settled on 2 scoops each. They have home made and on site waffle cones, but having just had dinner. There wasn't room for too many carbs on this visit. I opted for a 2 scoop in a sugar cone and my friend got a 2 scoop in a cup and another cup to go for our other friend we were meeting up with. We pulled up some stools and sat by the window enjoying our delicious ice creams and taking in the sights. After finishing our ice cream, we walked out and thanked the owners and they did the same in return, all while serving a new group of customers waiting in line. We'll definitely be back. Can't wait to try their pies and ice cream again! Oh, and... they support local atheletes and children in the community. They have a wall with pictures of the "cream of the crop". A nice gesture that most businesses wouldn't even consider.
