Where To Find Hawaiʻian Shave Ice in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

"It’s easy to miss the entrance for 2 Scoops of Aloha LV, which is on the ground floor of an apartment complex in a nondescript parking lot on Paradise Road, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for this hidden gem, which is known for its plate lunches, Hawaiian breakfasts, Spam musubi, and shave ice in a variety of rotating flavors." - Krista Diamond

Was treated to fantastic traditional Hawaiian food for lunch the other day and i still think about it. The pictures don’t do it justice as i was too busy eating to take that many: Friendly staff who were very helpful and as stated excellent food: Las Vegas is often referred to as the 9th island and if this food is any indication, i can’t wait to visit the other 8!

Google
Take my review with a grain of salt. Every island in Hawai'i makes their food different, as well as every family. To me the pork hash was da winner! It wasn't too salty! The size was eyepopping! Now I'm picky about mac salad. If you like it with pepper and not too much mayo this place has it! Iwas raving about the pork hash and mac salad for days. I haven't tried all the Hawaiian plates in vegas, but I liked this one. I'm not a haupia fan, my husband ate it up! The lomi salmon was Ono. Squid Luau, I grew up eating it savory(Kaua'i). I learned at this restaurant they like it sweet. So, if you like sweet squid luau where you can actually see that get squid inside 2 scoops has it. I grew up with the trifecta laulau, but I noticed in Vegas it's mostly pork. This is understandable as it is an arduous process to make the trifecta. The pork was moist and not dry, lots of yummy laulau leaves. I definitely preferred this Hawaiian plate over another competitor. There was so much in the plate I couldn't eat it all. My husband ate the kalua pig and rice. The manapua wasn't my thing, but it could be yours. Manapua is a very opiniated subject hehe. I will definitely come back here.

Google
What is this gem? Delicious food that is also affordable? Come here! It's better than the majority of food on the strip.

Google
Can one weekend make that much of a difference? Last weekend we had da best Korean chicken and loco moco and Mac salad. We didn’t mind the long wait because it was so good. This weekend, we tried a combo loco moco/ Korean chicken plate. We called in 1/2 hour prior and still have to wait another 1/2 upon arrival. If you look at the picture, look at the portion…only the batter with two small slices of chicken. Super small portion as well. The hamburger was bad - no taste and the Mac salad had no taste! Why such a difference? So disappointed!

Google
Got the Roast Pork Moco, man was it delicious! Staff is really friendly and a great hole in the wall.

Google
The food is amazing and is definitely high quality Hawaiian cuisine. Everything that I had was so fresh and delicious it left me speechless, especially the Chantilly Banana bread wow!!!. I am so happy I got to try this place because my previous experience with other Hawaiian food from L&L left me so disappointed, I was reluctant to eat this type if food in the future, Shanice Walter and the team you are truly amazing.

K. O.

Google
Absolutely disappointed. The portions are abysmal. The taste wasn’t there at all. It definitely leaves you wanting something better. The pork hash has way too much ginger. The pastele is terrible. They also pass the processing charges onto the consumer. Pacific island taste is the only Hawai’i style restaurant worth going to. Please don’t waste your time or money on this place. The service was subpar. They do greet you when entering but are reluctant to help.

Google
Even though their sign shows a large Hawaiian Shaved Ice, 2 Scoops of Aloha does NOT sell Hawaiian Shaved Ice. We did not eat anything here - it looks like a small grocery store that stopped stocking its shelves.

Yelp
I had been craving chicken katsu and L&L just isn't the same here as it was in San Diego. 2 Scoops of Aloha was so much better!!! The chicken katsu and even the teriyaki chicken were so good and not dry. The rice was cooked perfectly and the mac salad was so flavorful and not overly creamy. Next time I am craving some island food, 2 scoops will definitely be my first choice! The girl that took are order what friendly, love the little shop they have spread throughout the store. At least 8 different table tops to eat at or wait for your food. We ordered to go, living so close we didn't worry about our food getting cold. Want to try their breakfast next time!
google avatar

Essence T.

Yelp
We ordered the food through DoorDash. It was closer to closing, now I've had loco moca from back home in Hawaii and this was disappointing. The hamburger meat was still pink and not edible as it was served. The gravy was cold and thin. The eggs were slightly raw on top.

Yelp
Local family owned! The staff is always happy and friendly. I love that the family is involved in a lot of Hawaii community events. This is actually how I found out about the place. They also have a mini Hawaiian store with some very cute decorated insulated bags, baked goods, stickers, and other awesome finds. It's located in a smaller shopping center near Southpoint Casino. The parking lot is fairly small, but I have not had trouble finding parking here in the past. They have a lot of combo options at great prices and delicious food. They have cute decor throughout, and plenty of seating for eating in. They have a clean restroom in the back.

Yelp
We visited this place about a year or so ago and recall their bbq beef and chicken katsu being excellent. We decided to try their moco loco and it was just okay. Would probably go with something else the next time. Overall, a good place to grab some Hawaiian food if you're gambling at SouthPoint.

Yelp
I tried 2 scoops of aloha for the first time at the holo holo festival last year and when I seen they opened up a location not too far from me I was sooo happy!! When you walk in to the left there is a separate business (poke etc) that shares the space with them. The staff greeted us as we walked in and even offered us samples of the poke. Usually I frequent one poke place in town because not everywhere has poke i like, the seasonings and taste of their fish here was excellent. I got the poke with limu and the cali poke and they were both sooo good!! Now, for 2 scoops of aloha , they have their regular menu( I attached photos of) but they also have a selection of specials depending on the day of the week. When we went, shoyu chicken was one of their specials that day. My mom used to cook shoyu chicken all the time, and let more tell you, the way they cooked their chicken, how tender and flavorful it was, and served on a bed of rice is exactly how my mom used to cook it. This is why food can be such a beautiful thing because it can transport me back to fond memories. Mahalo for the kind service and I can't wait to come back and try more menu items! If you are looking for authentic Hawaiian style food, look no further. 2 scoops of aloha knows how to do it

Yelp
Extra Scoops of Aloha Just managed to come by after a friend's recommendation several months after opening and I wish I came in sooner. This Hawaiian drive inn style restaurant brings back memories of the islands back home. You can tell that the family who owns this restaurant takes much pride in not only the foods that they offer but also the various merchandise they sell. The food is amazing. The Sunday crew is amazing. The poke is delicious. Overall 5/5 stars

Yelp
Stopped in to check out the store. They used to be near the airport and this place is a step up. I enjoyed the Roast Pork plate lunch. I need a bit more gravy and was told of was $3.25 for the additional 1/2 cup. Well, the pork and gravy weren't that good.
google avatar

Sanoe G.

Yelp
One of my FAVORITE Hawaiian food restaurants! Shai and her team are amazing and always so welcoming! My fave is the TITA CUP or Garlic Chicken with gravy. BOMB!!!!! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Lahela P.

Yelp
My family and I have a tried a few items from here. Always delicious. When they moved to South Vegas, that was even better. Right off the 15 and Silverado Ranch. Love the Brown Box special - Manapua and pork hash. But one of my fave go-to's is the Palala Cup. Getting a bite of the sweet poi with the saltiness of the lomi salmon...yum. Then add in the rice and kalua pig...wow! The staff is always friendly. Food always good. What more could you ask for.
google avatar

Lydia S.

Yelp
The staff is friendly and the owner is super helpful! Totally coming back. Poke prices are very reasonable and the catering prices are a steal! She imports her fish! I had the saimin soup. Very authentic flavor. Not a lot of toppings but it was only $6. Also got the two item plate. Teriyaki salmon and loco moco. Good flavor! Definitely coming back for more.

Yelp
Mood- Chantilly IYKYK. This is quite the dessert if it is made correctly. So many places in the valley have it on their menu and it is honestly trash. Thank goodness that was not the experience this day. Upon entering there was a line. It is their brand new location so this was a good indicator that it was going to be a great feast. You order, pay at the counter, find seating, then they call your order. Opted of course for that Chantilly Banana Bread, Hamburger Steak, Loco Moco, Pork Hash, and of course my usual Hawaiian Sun Products. Now that icing on the Chantilly Banana Bread was IT. And like I mentioned previously that is usually something hard to find. Interior is quaint. There are a few table and chair arrangements. It does get congested very quickly. So def be prepared. Would recommend- pricing is typical for our new inflation way of life. The customer service was friendly. Food is made to order, so it takes a little time. Location is Las Vegas Blvd/ Silverado- ample parking

Yelp
This is a place that i really wanted to enjoy but it just didn't make the cut. The staff were really friendly and welcoming but the food was the other side of things. The interior was simple and was also part store. There's other Hawaiian goods you can purchase which is better than the food. The location is great for a Hawaiian plate lunch place as it's right off the I-15. Food 702 bento - the teri chicken was very underwhelming it was seared chicken with a weak teriyaki sauce. Hot dog was weirdly cold. Fried chicken was the best part. Somewhat crunchy and juicy but still lacks flavor and has too much breading. 3/10 808 bento - mahi was dry. Teri beef was near raw ( should been called beef poke ) and the quality of meat was not great but I guess that's why the price is reasonable. 3/10 Chicken long rice - broth and noodles were good but they used the same chicken as the Teri chicken and had a rubbery texture to it. 5/10 Overall. The food was mid at its best. You can tell it was too good to be true based on the good prices. The quality you get is just not worth it.
google avatar

Elsie D.

Yelp
Stopped by today with the family. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Poke Etc was on the left side and they asked if wanted to try some poke. That was nice of them! We had the 702 bento and hamburger steak, & a side of pork hash. Everything was tasty and yummy!

Yelp
HUI!! New location is now open on Las Vegas Blvd & Silverado Ranch, just east of I-15, across from Southpoint Casino. CHEEEHUU!!! So much closer to all of us! Ahh the convenience. Same great local food. Same menu, same personal touch and Poke Etc coming soon! GMonkey do: BEEF CURRY- true comfort food GARLIC CHICKEN- my go to Get few tables to dine in and plenty shared parking. Restaurant also offer da kine necessities: Hawaiian Sun, Aloha Shoyu, ribbon & kukui nut lei, etc.
google avatar

Rob O.

Yelp
Had a fried chicken plate today. I took one bite and i couldn't eat it it was over cooked and over breaded, it was more of a overbreaded chicken katsu. I feel like it was a complete waste of money and I don't think the owner would even eat it like how they served it to me. 2 stars because they have certain things on the menu that are good.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
What a great find, delivering the ono grindz! We tried a few of the bento boxes, and all were really tasty and decent portions. Service was super-friendly and quick, too! Will deffo be back on my next trip through town!

W. R.

Yelp
The service was ok but the food was not good. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and rice. The chicken had no flavor and seemed like it was just tossed in off-the-shelf teriyaki sauce. The chicken didn't even taste all that fresh,

Po O.

Yelp
Manapua I believe is frozen they buy and heat it up. Not good they shouldn't sell it especially being owners from Hawaii.
google avatar

Tiana S.

Yelp
The pork hash and local breakfast combo was really good. Price is reasonable for the portion.
google avatar

Shania E.

Yelp
Everybody was so nice & welcoming! The food reminded me soooo much of home in Hawai'i. I was really amazed by the poke & how fresh it was. My favorite place to go when I'm feeling home sick.
google avatar

Kenny D.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the food quality is not something that I was impressed about considering these owners are from Hawaii. I've had better quality food in Hawaii and in other places in Las Vegas. That serve Hawaiian style menu items. The service was great very aloha spirit, the ambience is good. It was clean. Everything is great about that portion of the restaurant. Maybe I need to go again, and try another type of food on the menu because the one that I got wasn't that great.
google avatar

Sharna E.

Yelp
Although we didn't go to the drive inn , we ate at the truck at Reggae Rise up festival. It was the most authentic Kalua pork I have had since moving to the mainland. The service at festival was awesome. Would definitely eat here again.

Charles G.

Yelp
I live close to this place, and I was finally able to try it out. I arrived about 7:15 on a Saturday night. There was a table of four waiting for their meals and a party of two in front of me, completing their order. I was able to order right away. I got the combo plate with Teri beef and Korean chicken. It same with rice and mac salad. It took a good 20-25 minutes for all of us to get our meals. They were overwhelmed to say the least. Had my food been good, the review would have been better. The Mac salad was OK. The Teri beef was dry and over cooked. The Korean chicken was mostly skin and bits, hardly any meat. Sorry, I won't be back.

MARK L.

Yelp
Ordered the moco loco. Delicious. My fiancé ordered the portaguise sausage and eggs. Also delicious
google avatar

Trina T.

Yelp
We ordered via Uber eats and I'm pretty disappointed in this place. We ordered fried chicken and teriyaki beef. I'm going to kindly pass on eating here again. The chicken is One thigh split and fried. ONE THIGH. The beef is okay but pretty chewy. I don't expect a ribeye or anything but cut it thinner so it's easier to eat. Overall, tastes okay but the chicken was pretty hard and the beef was difficult to chew.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
The food, the customer service, and atmosphere was great. It was a breakfast stop on the way back to Arizona, and will probably be a staple on future Las Vegas trips.
google avatar

Thess A.

Yelp
We ordered to go and got home the food smelled and didn't taste right. We called the restaurant and all they said was sorry.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Great place for local Hawaiian food. Also great service and friendly staff. They have local Hawaiian mixes and sauces from back home in Hawaii. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Barbara M.

Yelp
Unfortunately I thought the food was awful. First it was 105 outside and the inside was very warm , one other patron so it wasn't busy. We waited close to 30 minutes for the food to come out. Teri beef was dry no sauce at all. My garlic chicken was just chopped up fried chicken with some weird gravy. The Mac salad was awful . So disappointed If you like Hawaiian food, this is not the place to go.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
We just got back from Hawaii and miss the amazing food, but our Hawaiian friends brought us here.. The food was amazing ( Broke Da Mouth ) the service was amazing toooooooo! We highly recommended this place. The prices were very reasonable too. So if you want some good food and great service this is a must try!!!!!
google avatar

Whit D.

Yelp
Food was ONOlicious. Portions was large. Friendly service. Highly recommend! AAAAA+++++
google avatar

Yelp
Mahalo 2Scoops of Aloha for the Ono Squid Luau! Highly recommended- true to the flavors of the Islands We tried the Da Hawaiian Plate, Plumeria Combo, and Wiki Wiki Plate- plenty food!
google avatar

Kristyl M.

Yelp
They have a new location. Corner of Silverado Ranch and Las Vegas Blvd in the Del Taco parking lot.

Laakea D.

Yelp
Went here for what I thought was a Hawaiian plate. There were 2 girls working the front. I think one was new. Both nice. There was no one else in there. While we were waiting the owner came walking in. The 2 girls were making our food. The owner yells out what no hi no good morning nothing. How about you practice what you preach lady. Why not greet the only customers in your restaurant set the example. And maybe not do that in front of your customers. Food is so expensive here for such small portions. I would never go back. $18 for a little take out container I was shocked.
google avatar

Mitcheal T.

Yelp
I left a star out only because the grill wasn't working and what I came for would have needed the grill but what we did get was the Kalua Pig/Shoyu Chicken mix plate with Pork Hash, The TITAH CUP Layered Cup with Poi | Lomi | Kalua | Rice | Layered Squid Luau. Ahi Tuna and Scallops poke with oyster sauce. Will go back when the grill is working and try more of this delicious menu!

Yelp
Food made with aloha! Right by Mccarran Airport in a strip mall not too far off of Tropicana Ave. Found this off the strip thanks to Yelp. We were driving back home to LA while staying not too far away at the MGM. To make sure we didn't want too long for our take out order, we were able to phone in our order. The food was perfect for our long drive home from Vegas to LA. Loved their Rise and Shine with the corn beef hash and other proteins over rice. One of those plates you can eat in the car with ease. Their version of a pork dumpling (similar to the pork siu mai) is the pork hash. Pretty good as well. Loved their service. We ended ordering a couple more items off the menu in addition to the phone order. The young lady was able to bring out the extra order to our car. Definitely be back. Note the local office strip mall where 2 Scoops of Aloha LV is located, bottom floor and kind of hard to find if you miss the parking lot entrance.
google avatar

Nathan S.

Yelp
Food was good and my order was wrong I ordered roast pork with gravy and got Kalua pig. Other then that all was good just wished I got my order

Rhea N.

Yelp
My husband and I love to support local businesses and we've been here a handful of times to try out their variety of food. We wanted to love it, but honestly, their food is mediocre. I feel like it lacks flavor and overpriced for the portion. For example, the shoyu chicken was tender but flavor was bland. The roast pork was undercooked and gravy wasn't the best. The Hawaiian plate was okay- the portion was small for the price. The mac salad had too much black pepper. If there's one thing we enjoy is "da brown box" which has 6 pieces of pork hash and 2 pieces of manapua.
google avatar

Jazzlyn P.

Yelp
I did takeout. The sauce was messy. But maybe it was the Uber driver. The pork hash wasn't salty, I give it like 7.5/10 compared 7-11 Hawaii if you know what I mean if you a local. And the Korean chicken was good. I thought it was bone in but it was still good. 8/10 and the max salad 6.8/10. Has a pepper taste with like some sort of taste that is hard to explain maybe a little sour like taste.. it was like roughly 16 for this meal which I am not sure if was worth the buck.
google avatar

Shonnah-lei Lilieni T.

Yelp
Update: We went there again for some poke and the AC is working this time!!! I guess it maybe just went out that one time but IT IS WORKING YALL! The customer service is still great. Same for the food. Cleanliness of the place is also maintained!
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
The food was excellent and the service was amazing. I had never been here before and a lot of the food I have never eaten and I was intimidated. Passion (like the fruit lol) helped me make my order, was really nice and patient with me and even brought my order to me. I will be back and I want to try the plate lunches!
google avatar

Tyron C.

Yelp
Food is tasty and service is quick and efficient. Lots to choose from. Come with an empty stomach for sure cause you will leave waddling out. :-)
google avatar

Joshua O.

Yelp
Crap food. The Mac salad is pathetic. Way too much vinegar and black pepper. The pastele lacked any flavor. The pork hash had way too much ginger. Not everyone from Hawai'i should cook. This place is crap. Save your money and go else where.
google avatar

Brick J.

Yelp
Great food and amazing aloha from here. Just what the homesick heart needs when stuck on the 9th Island lol. Definitely worth the trip. P.S. *great* spot to get your 808 merch, get plenty stickers/kukui leis/etc - we will be back!
google avatar

Tiffany-Ann D.

Yelp
Great place to get your island food crave satisfied. I have been getting the squid luau and the lomi salmon while my hubby gets his full plate lunches and bento boxes. So much to try at the restaurant that it's a must to continue to visit. The location is great too since it is just down the street by the Southpoint Casino & Hotel.
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
The food was ok but the service was mediocre. The girl at the counter was not very friendly. I don't think i will be visiting this establishment anytime soon. Where was the spirit of Aloha? I surely didn't feel the spirit there. I think i felt more of the aloha with the visiting customers.
google avatar

Gabi F.

Yelp
Can't say how the food is. But 1 star for poor customer service. I called on a Monday around 11:15. First time I called asked to place a pick up order girl said hold on then hung up. I called back and same she hung up again. Smh ummm so I call back again it just rings through. The 4th time I call back I get a girl on the phone with attitude. Saying they busy. I know that's why I'm trying to call in my order so I don't have to wait til I get there. I asked about how many pieces the pork hash comes in and this girl is huffing and puffing on the phone like just rude. I asked for her name she said Passion. I told her nvm and to cancel the order. Girl passion needs to take a break she obviously stressed over there. Good luck! Aloha
google avatar

Carri F.

Yelp
Small portions but chill ax atmosphere. Plus they got all kinds of choices-the staff is awesome. Hard place to find, kinda tucked away.
google avatar

Candice Y.

Yelp
It's a very cute little place. Found this from this Facebook group I followed: 9th island of connection. When I saw they sell butter mochi and custard pie I know I have to check it out. This is a small little store that sells lot of Hawaiian snacks, some clothing, and Hawaiian food. Originally I just want to get desserts but I caved in and got myself Da Brown box: pork hash and Manapua. Omg. Everything is so delicious. I gotta try their other stuff. They are cooked to order. Service was great and the cashier who was helping me was so kind and helpful with my questions. Can't wait to come back and tried their other stuff. Stay tuned.
google avatar

Dar T.

Yelp
The Beef stew plate was Ono, except the Mac salad can be improved. It was a little bit watery (Mayo), needs some taste too. Can't wait to try the other items!
