Yelp
20 Eiffel was a pleasant surprise amidst a busy day touring the Eiffel Tower and walking through the Champ de Mars. It's located in a quaint street where you can see the tower peeking over the tops of buildings and through the leaves of trees, and provides quite an affordable experience for the quality of food.
The interior is a bit small, but the decor is elegant. The hostess and waitress were fantastic - both were extremely friendly and accommodating, and to our relief, spoke English well.
The menu is set up as a prix fixe, with 33 Euros per person for an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. We also got a bottle of wine, but it was on the forgettable side.
The escargot appetizer was pretty good, but I think I prefer normal escargot over this dish. The snails were de-shelled and cooked into a soft foam and served with a breadstick. The flavor wasn't bad, but if I were to return, I don't think I'd opt for this appetizer again.
I ordered the pork with polenta for my main course, which was stunning. The polenta was expertly cooked, providing a much needed difference in texture to the pork, which was tender and juicy. My partner ordered the duck which was good, but I preferred the pork.
For desserts, we got the creme brulee and the souffle, which were both amazing. The souffle had a nice grapefruit aroma and subtlety to it, which lightened up the dessert course to round out the experience really well.
Overall, 20 Eiffel was a fantastic experience. We managed to get lucky without reservations, but shortly after being seated, all the tables around us were quickly filled with parties that did have reservations.
