20 Gram Cafe

While this place started off as one of the most affordable places, the prices have gone up. A chai drink used to be no more than $4, and now it’s $7 or $8. It’s delicious, but not for double the price. The classic sliders have only gone up from 2.75 to 2.90 so that’s not bad, but eventually it will go up also. They’re removed a lot of what used to be on the menu like tater tots and ramen, and those were the cheapest sides/foods. Don’t get me wrong, I think this cafe is delicious, but at what cost? Even the drinks are more expensive than if you buy them from the marketplace at jubilee. I don’t shop at this supermarket because the prices can be high, and I’m sure that doesn’t bother the hordes of people that live even on that very block who don’t need to go elsewhere to buy their groceries and who will be happy paying exorbitant prices for groceries. Btw, jubilee started being built in 2020 around when covid started, and I live on the block, and for 2 or 3 something years, the building shook and vibrated because of the construction of this supermarket and cafe, and they baited us pretty well with their cheap prices of sides and things that have since went up and will never go down to what it used to be. $8 for a chai is crazy. There was a place next to the UPS store that since closed down and is now a pet store, but I randomly went in and ordered a chai, and paid close to $8 for that. I’ve never went back there, and it’s now closed. I wonder why.

I’ve been here a few times now with friends and finally remembered to write a review. We’ve always had a good time and the burgers are great. I see a lot of haters online calling them expensive sliders but it’s not like you’re eating them in 2 bites. This is way bigger than a McDonald’s cheeseburger (never heard anyone call it a slider), cheaper and better. You’re getting a freshly made beef patty (not frozen) with grilled onions, garlic confit, pickles, cheese and their house sauce for under $3. In March 2024 they were $2.55 each but went up to $2.75. I’m not a fan of the tater tots though; they were too mushy and I like a crunchy tot. If anyone is confused, 20 Gram Cafe is located inside the Jubilee Marketplace. As soon as you walk in it’s to your left. Make sure you check the hours of 20 Gram Cafe and not the marketplace itself. The first time I went the cafe was closed and I didn’t even realize. I went down the escalator to where the grocery and butcher is. I asked where the cafe was and they said upstairs but I was too late.

It’s 5 stars for me!! While it looks like a food spot in one side and coffee shop on the other side it’s all one place and that’s 20 grams cafe. The space is inside a “market” with a handful of high tops and some outdoor seating I believe. I took my food to go so I did t hang out long. The stag was friendly and helped answer any questions. The food was fresh and came out in like 6 mins. I didn’t eat it till like 10 mins later and it was still super hot. I would absolutely go back next time in in town to try the other items.

EDIT: I am amending this since prices have gone down and burger prices have stayed the same. I greatly appreciate the effort the owners of 20grams and Jubilee have taken to make this place more affordable. Please keep up the good work. This place was at one point a hidden gem in the neighborhood, but once again greed has destroyed something nice. There is a sign out front that says Bacon, Egg, Cheese $4.50, I attached it to this review as proof. But it isn't $4.50, it's $6. Considering that this exact item used to be $3.50 just a few months ago, is an insult to the consumer. It shocks me that their burgers haven't risen in price, but don't worry, they will soon. I would much rather give my business to local bodegas and small restaurants than establishments like jubilee (who owns 20 grams) that charge asinine prices for "speciality" produce and food. $8 for a single apple is so absolutely removed from reality that I am reserved to believing this is some elaborate form of satire. See the attached videos as proof. Also watermelons were $22 in the summer. Very sad to see this 20 grams and Jubilee become what it is currently is.

yeah so… don’t believe the hype. true, you can get 2 classic burgers for $6– if you happen to be in the area and are craving sliders AND happen to be penny pinching, sure. but to be honest i would not go out of my way for it. they’re not terrible, they’re edible, they’re just… OK. my partner described it as “as if you went to your friends house and their dad slapped some patties on the grill- nothing special, just nice to have” still, i get the appeal of the price point.

The service here is great, the breakfast sandwich toast is amazing (try the not Korean sandwich.. you won’t regret it) now onto the main thing that everyone is talking about… the smash burger.. for what it is, the “smash burger” could taste better, needs abit more seasoning, economically this is a great price some what smash burger but the burger can be better, would I come back here again maybe if I’m in the neighborhood. The lunch menu is at 12:00 pm if you guys do go, mornings till 11:30 am is the breakfast menu which the burger is not on.

Heard and seen a lot online about this spot for their $2 burgers (well actually slider sized at $2.15 and $2.55 with cheese) so glad I was able to visit and try this past weekend. Their patties are made in house of grass fed beef with a slather of condiments. I asked the order taker if I could add bacon or change the fixings on the burger and he said it wasn’t not an option. I wished it were but it’s fine as they are running a lean menu and product at a value price. Can’t beat this in terms of value in my book. In terms of taste and texture it’s very decent but not a burger I would drive 45mins to grab again but if I were in the area and in the mood for a burger then for sure.

Everyone will go for the cheaper 20g burger (as we did) but honestly the 'Morning after' burger is the true star of the show. Amazing flavour and so well sized for the price. The 20g is still good and can't complain for such a cheap price

Food - 5/5 Came here with my girlfriend and we got a cheeseburger each, a tuna melt to share and tater tots. The cheeseburger sliders were a bit bigger than White Castle size but tasted delicious. It came with onions, pickles and special burger sauce. Everything meshed so well together. The tuna melt was also good and worth a try. The tuna salad is freshly made in house. Tater tots were crispy and nothing special. Service - 5/5 It's situated inside of Jubilee Market, just order at the counter and you pick up your food when it's ready. Nothing special, the job gets done. Ambiance - 3/5 It's inside a cafe inside a supermarket. Cool spot for a super casual date. Nothing romantic.

I was having an afternoon in Greenpoint and decided to come here. I definitely find this place to fall under the category of... You come to this place because of how cheap the food is, and not something you go out of your way to come and get. The cheeseburger slider was only $2.55 which is obviously extremely cheap and the fries were I believe only $4 for a side. I also got the "Sticky Umami" Wings and they were $10, by far the most expensive thing on the menu. The burger tasted like a $2.50 burger, it wasn't bad by any means but it didn't wow me by any means either. The special sauce was heavy on the ketchup so it was a bit too much for me but that's defintely personal preference. I don't love McDonald's fries but the fries here felt like a slightly less seasoned and less crispy version here. The wings were by far the standout here. I honestly thought they were cooked to absolute perfection. They were steaming hot and one of the juiciest wings ive had in a very long time, you could see the juice bubble up as you took a bite into it. The sticky umami was definitely a punch of umami to the face and a good balance while not being too saucy or overpowering.

While I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by to try the cheeseburger slider. It wasn't worth going out of your way but if you found yourself down by the water in greenpoint craving a burger it would satisfy your craving. The cheap price is definitely a treat / throwback and nice touch by the owners. The wait was a bit longer than I expected as the grill cooked up about a dozen orders before any were handed out to customers. The register employee was very friendly and attentive. The vibe is a deli/grocery store food court which is essentially what it is. I did like that I probably could have done some grocery shopping while waiting for my burgers. If I lived closer that might be the move!

Friendly, efficient, and tasty -- what more could you ask for? I ordered an everything bagel egg and cheese with sausage, which came out to under $5. Perfectly toasty, melty, and savory, this was a perfect breakfast sandwich to start out a brisk, clear morning exploring the city. Can't wait to come back and try their burgers!

Although, I would really only get the stuff off the eats menu. What I Ordered: - tuna melt (no cheese): pickles was an interesting add, pretty solid slider, smaller than anticipated but makes sense for the price - salted chocolate cookie: a little hard, think it'll be better heated up w ice cream - Ham/Cheeseburger: partner liked the cheeseburger more. ate one of each, then went right back to order 2 more. good snack size.

You just can't beat the prices... living in New York is expensive and what we all love is a good deal packed with flavor. Order the whole menu if you dare -- it's all good and affordable and hits any craving that might come you way. The cheeseburger is great and the onion is perfect for anyone that loves that flavor. Also order the tater tots and maybe ramen when you're at it. You can tell the ingredients are good quality and it's even more motivating to check out the market downstairs. There's some indoor and outdoor seating and the service is quick for the quality of items.

After seeing 20 Gram Cafe all over my social media feeds, I had to see what was up with the sliders. My order consisted of multiple sliders (size shown in my photo), a tuna melt, hot wings, tater tots, and French fries. I really should've eaten my order inside the cafe or inside my car cuz fried potatoes do not travel well. Unfortunately, the tuna melt was missing from my order so I wasn't able to try it, but that gives me another reason to return in the future. The sliders were bigger than I was expecting and came with plenty of pickles and lots of cooked onion--a dream come true tbh. Most places either skimp on the shaved onion and/or char them way too much. Compared to the onion burger at Hamburger America, I'd say the onions here are sliced thicker. The hot wings came out a little dark however this didn't affect the taste and they were surprisingly good and well salted on the outside, like better than my nearby diner or pizza parlor wings. The fries steamed a little on the drive home and were standard shoestring. Not sure if it was the fry oil (too clean or just not for my palate) but I didn't care for the fries. To round out my meal, I grabbed two drinks from the Jubilee Market side: a canned sparkling coconut water with no added sugar from Strange Water and an Aura Bora cardamom lime sparkling water. Love a cheeky bev that I've never seen before. Great place for a fast and affordable lunch.

Good place to grab a quick (small) smash burger or tuna melt. The prices are unbeatable ($2.5 smash burger and $4 tuna melt). The food was tasty and the service was nice and quick.

Came here on a Saturday evening and ordered the cheeseburger for $2.55 and tuna melt slider for $4. The place wasn't too crowded, had plenty of seating, and the order came out relatively fast. The cheeseburger was on the smaller side (the size of my palm) but was classic and tasty. Definitely worth getting for the price! The tuna melt sandwich was a bit underwhelming. My wife didn't find it too tasty and would most likely try another burger or sandwich next time.

Can't beat this hidden gem of $2.55 cheeseburger sliders ! What a wonderful section of snacks and drinks. Their lattes and teas are much cheaper compared to its competitors in the area. The chai latte was very good. I would come back again for the cravecase next time of $30 for 14 sliders. They also have a ramen bowl where you get to select different ramen and they top it up with an egg and scallion. Such a cool concept to get you in the market to shop.

Consistently delicious sliders and tots, especially for the price point! 20 gram is located in a market, which makes it fun to peruse while you wait for your food. There is a fairly large seating area, or you can take your food to go. Definitely lives up to the hype.

If you keep in mind the price, it's worth it. Is it a top 10 burger for me? No, but if you're in the area and on a budget, it's worth a visit. Plus, the market itself is fun to visit after you've placed your order. The size is between a slider and a small burger, so set expectations to get 2 or another sandwich if you're super hungry.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday afternoon and it was very quiet and not very busy. The café is inside the Jubilee marketplace and it's on the lefthand side as soon as you enter. There are plenty of seats. We ordered a cheeseburger each, and a tuna melt slider and tater tots to share. There were a few orders ahead of us but the food came out really quickly. Everything was really good and really cheap. I would definitely come here again! The marketplace also has a lot of unique drinks and food items.

Since my initial visit, we've come a few more times for the sliders and tater tots. Today was the first time we came for breakfast. Who knew they had a legitimately sized bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel! We bought two! With tip and tax, the 2 bagels were under 7 dollars total. The eggs seemed fresh. There was a lot of cheese and bacon. The everything bagels seemed fresh. Highly recommend!

I was biking through the area and decided to stop in for a quick coffee. This place is in the middle of a supermarket and is really no frills. But that being said, the coffee is good for the price. The burger was CHEAP but it was a little small. It has sauteed onions and garlic built right in, and it was delicious! They stop serving breakfast at 1130AM so if you are looking for that make sure you go before that. The service here is super nice and I'll definitely be back to try more of their cuisine!

We saw a video review on Instagram and decided to check it out. If you plan on visiting, then get here early and wait on the line, because 10 minutes after opening and the line will grow like crazy! My husband and I placed an order for 3 cheeseburgers, while we were probably the first ten in line, it took a while to get our order. We noticed people placing large orders, 30 plus burgers at a time. We waited about 20 minutes, the burger itself was only $2.55, which is a pretty good price. The cheeseburger was flavorful and the potato bun was soft and buttery. The size of the burger reminded me of White Castle. The space is clean and well organized, there's a grocery store downstairs which is neat. If you're in the area or on a budget, you should check this place out.

The tots reminded me of what I used to get in my cafeteria growing up and it was very nostalgic. All of the ingredients were quality and came directly from the market below. The space itself was rather spacious with plenty of casual seating and hot sauce on the tables... Always a good sign. The service was super friendly and helpful - the order took about 10 minutes to make and serve, so we decided to check out the Jubilee Market below in the meantime. There was no line when I came here tonight, which I was a little surprised by. With how much this place was hyped on social media, I was mentally preparing myself to wait in a long line before I could even order. Fortunately, that wasn't the case. But maybe lines are longer on weekends during lunch. No idea. My family only came here for the $2.55 burgers. They were small but I still thought what we got was good for the price. I would easily choose this over a McDouble. Heavy on that pickle and onion too, which I like. The dining area was quiet and great for eating alone undisturbed. Each table had condiments like ketchup, mustard, mayo, and even hot sauce. All nice but not really necessary for the burger, which was already loaded with wet ingredients anyway. It's a little out of the way to come here so I doubt there will be multiple occasions ACTIVELY seek this burger again unless I'm already in the area and even then, en route here I saw multiple eateries I would probably stop at first long before I make it here.

Absolutely delicious! I waited to review before I had these cheeseburgers a couple of times, they are consistently delicious. The meat is cooked perfect, the sauce is tangy and onion and picked compliment each other perfectly. Go get yourself a sack of ten! It'll only cost you 25 bucks

Went here at 4om and place was empty. They have $5 ramen with a good selection if Asian ramens. Its expensive considering you can buy a pack for that amount BUT it's a good option for thos qho do not want to commit to a whole pack and would like to try one out. We tried the Jin ramen mild and the Bulsak spicy chicken with cheese - both were solid options! Will definitely buy a pack of these on my next grocery run. Place is clean, there are several chairs available for seating/dine in customers. Staff at counter was friendly and recommend the 2 ramen flavors that we liked. Will definitely come back here qhen we're in the area!

Cafe part of Jubilee Marketplace. Very convenient. Went during lunchtime on a weekday and there was no line to place an order, but then 10-15 min wait after ordering. In the meantime, went down to the grocery store to browse, and the cafe also offered a 10% off code to the grocery store after ordering. I cannot believe my husband dragged me here for the viral $3 burger he saw on TikTok! This place is pretty far from civilization, lol! By chance, we happened to be in Greenpoint and he had to take us here! The burger is sold in the cafeteria area right when you walk in and Jubilee Market is right downstairs. You can smell the fragrant onions down the block. The space is spacious with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I thought it was interesting that they sell burgers and Korean ramen - two of my favorite things in the world! The ramen case looks glorious and I found a new ramen that I wanted to try! There was a little bit of wait on Saturday afternoon since burgers are made fresh to order and everyone else who saw TikTok is also here. It was overall worth it! I ordered two cheeseburgers, tator tots, and bottled coke and it only came out to be $10.99. The burgers are so damn delicious! Martin's potato buns, pickle, melted cheese, perfectly grilled onions and patty! Tator tots were crispy and hot! Coke is the best way to wash this all down!

Near the Greenpoint Ferry, 20 Gram Cafe is home to the famous $2.50 burger which is extremely flavorful and a great bang for your buck. I believe you could also get a bowl of instant ramen here with toppings. Very cost friendly place with a Korean grocery store in the basement level. I'm excited to try the chicken wings next time as well as I live nearby.

i got sucked in by social media and stopped in after my visit to Radio Bakery. the draw is of course the $2.55 burger with cheese, caramelized onion, and a special burger sauce. all the elements were great, except the patty was extremely salty to the point where it was bitter (i'd assume the sea water is probably as salty). patty was also a tad more done than i'd like. we also got the fries and they were fine, nothing to write home about. overall, it's an okay burger and it's ok for a quick bite if you want something inexpensive.

So I went over. the cashier greeted me as soon as I came in. It was super friendly and gave me his suggestion, which was far more than I could eat. So, I went with 2 sliders. Note: The burgers are on Martin's slider rolls, not full-size buns. It's really busy here as they serve a lot of people. They offer a $5 pick your Ramen bowl, coffee bar, and breakfast, as well. Now, back to the burgers. These were the cutest, tastiest burgers.I've had in a while. Well, no, they don't beat my favorite place, but they come really close. I even ate one of the sliders with the pickles. The best part were the onions which were well cooked paired with the garlic confit, goving it unique flavor. I loved I was able to go downstairs and check out the market, but I lost my coupon Next time I'll try the tater tots., and one of the cool beverages in the drink section accompanying the cafe.Thanks, guys.It was great!

Had an unsatisfactory experience at a notable joint yesterday, so I still had burger craves today. Checked out 20 Gram because. Of an instagram reel I saw, and of course the advertised price. Yup it's really $2.55 for a cheeseburger. Yes it's a slider, and a tasty one. Nice crispy wings and tots. Now my cravings were satisfied. Super clean joint too. Go without hesitation

It's super convenient for those living in the area or in neighboring LIC and Williamsburg as the closest train to get here is the G on Greenpoint Ave. The burgers are ideal for those wanting to support small local Greenpointers and pay a decent price for sliders. They're good for the price and location. The wait times vary so be ready for a wait, especially before closing hours, especially since they blew up because of social media influencers. I've tried their burger, cheese burger and tuna melt. All are good, but I usually opt for the cheese burger. They come with onions so if you need to customize it, let the cashier know. I wasn't a fan of the tuna melt as it got really soggy with the burger bun. They don't sell fries but they do pair their burgers with tater tots. They also sell coffee, deli food, canned drinks and customize your own ramyun. The space is new, bright and family friendly as the store is located in a neighborhood residential building. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Hipster casual, family friendly. Indoor/outdoor dining and takeout available. Expect a wait time. Open decently late. Bon appetite!

This burger was a grievous disappointment. The potato bun showed promise, but the patty was utterly ruined. The overwhelming taste of burnt onions made it inedible. Such careless preparation is an affront to the culinary arts and the diner's palate.

Yes, the cheeseburgers are really only $2.55 each!!! They're small, so I ended up getting two with a side of tater tots, and that was plenty of food! The burgers were delicious! Flavor wise, I'd say it's one of the best burgers I've had in NYC, and you can't beat it for the price! Keep up the great work!

This cafe is located to the left of the entrance to the supermarket. Spacious and plenty of tables and chairs. Good for a group visit. It's clean and neat. Depending on the time of the day, it can get crowded. If you're a burger lover like me, you would definitely like the welcoming burger grease in the air. Otherwise, oh well. Then you'll be shocked to find that the price of their burger is ridiculously cheap! Cheap does not mean bad quality. Instead, it's quite good. Surprisingly good. Where else can you get a nice juicy, beefy cheeseburger(with sauteed onions and pickles) under $3. But to be honest. Their "burger" is just slightly bigger than a slider. But it's packed with flavors. The owner was inspired by White Manna (NJ) according to Instagram. So if you like White Manna, come give them a try. Decide for yourself.

This place was fantastic, most items here are less than $10 and the cheeseburger was an insane deal for only $2.55. The service was great, it was super simple to order and they displayed all their prices clearly on a massive board. It sort of feels like a deli x cafe comboned, there's lots of seats, a decent chip selection, and many other drinks and instant ramyun.

This burger spot was located inside jubilee market. There was alot of seating. Our group tried the cheeseburger, hot mustard wings, French fries and hamburger. Pretty good deal as food prices were very cheap.

Quick, cheap, and what you'd expect for a 2.55 burger. The bun could've used some toasting and a crispier sear on the burger patty, but can't complain. You pay for what you get. Good balance of flavors with the onions and pickles.

Amazing burgers, though the size is more of a slider. But for the price and the flavor, completely worth it. I can eat 80 of these and die happy. However, the one thing I cannot recommend is the tuna melt. It's the worst tuna melt I've ever had. I can't explain what it was whether it was the tuna or seasoning, or lack of seasoning but it's not good. It had a fishy, almost fridge flavor with no seasoning, light mayo, no garlic or onion powder nothing as far as you can taste while eating it. But the burgers, though The burgers. Buy 30 of them; you wouldn't be disappointed!

Food is as described on instagram its great bustin actually but i went there today 04/30/2024 ordered the birria slider, 3 burgers and tots and didn't receive my complete order and it was too late by the time i got home a hour away. Good food lack luster service and organization with orders. Its a cafe in a market in posh greenpoint so keep your expectations low.

Staff is so sweet. Breakfast sandwiches and burgers are top notch and coffee is solid. They are doing construction on the building next-door, so try to avoid coming for lunch because it may be packed.

A great burger that kinda resembles a slider. It's fast super cheap and has a ton of condiments to go along. I had the tater tots they were not as good for the price. The tuna melt was good salty cheesy and has some sort of mustard on it. Very well seasoned! The ramen is packaged ramen you pick from the front that come out very thick with the scrambled egg mixed in. Over all fast service good food with an upbeat atmosphere. To the people complaining, you know what your walking into. If you order a traditional smash burger most Americans need more than one (like 3) burger

Got three burgers, one only had about 20 grams of meat. The bun was cold, i was excited to try this place but next time id rather get a regular burger

Awesome great price burger just enough to satisfy craving. It depends on time of day sometimes you may have to wait 10 minutes but worth the wait
