Got a very well made Old Fashion. Bar staff is professional and friendly. Place was clean and well lit. Good selection of whisky. This is probably the best spot for a drink before catching a train. Haven't had a chance to eat yet, but I sure will. Not hard to see from the street.

Google
It's a safe go-to bar for the area, an easy walk from Union Station and north of Capitol Hill. I came for two networking events held here, both in the Executive Lounge (room in back of the bar). The space was intimate and conducive for the presentations and conversations. I had some rounds of house white and mini appetizers. The steak on a stick was juicy, the best!!

Google
Lounge 201 has changed a great deal. The new cocktail menu is not as good as the old one, but on the flip side the food is better and cheaper than it was before. Service can be tough when they are busy as well. If you get a chance, their sweet potato fries are absolutely fantastic.

Google
Enjoyable atmosphere for Husker games. Family friendly, but bar food is a little pricey. Also, NO changing facilities (Koala Care Changing Station) for those with little ones still in diapers.

I visited 201 Bar for the first time recently after an event at the Dirksen Senate Office Building. I was there with colleagues, so drinks and appetizers were free. Maybe that's why the drinks were a little weak, but the appetizers (spring rolls, pizza, and caprese kabobs) were pretty yummy. I liked the decor and overall atmosphere. My verdict: I would definitely go back if the opportunity presented itself.

Google
This has got to be the most disgusting bar and restaurant in the district. The place wreaks of mildew. I wish I could say a nice thing about their General Manager who was on duty at noon on 9-11-16 but it would take me too long to search for a kinda word to say about this unprofessional classless characte. Incredibly rude and crass. She rudely dismissed me when they turned off my game without even talking to me to find a solution. I unequivocally do not recommend this place. The only good thing I can say about this place is that their bartenders are kind and much more professional than the General manager. I would love to speak with the owner about this interaction.

Google
For the professional suit and tie crowd. A little calmer than some other Hill bars. But, let a snow day come and it becomes a club. Overall, a decent stop.

Google
Stopped by after a business with some colleagues. The bartenders were slow and had quite an attitude. There was no table service so we had to deal with the slow bar service. There were 10 people at the bar and we couldn't get service. We went on Wed at 9pm.

John L.

Yelp
Came there on game day. Place was crowded rooting for the Commanders. Being an out of towner I was looking for a screen that had the Texans game. They accomodated us in a room which appeared set up for non Washington fans to watch their game with captions. Great beers. Great service despite the crowd. Clean restrooms too. Food was really good, but be careful with their version of Nashville hot chicken. high level of spice and Iike very spicy food.

Hannah A.

Yelp
Food was stellar. Buffalo chicken dip was very good and simple. Definitely can tell it's a neighborhood favorite and now I know why. Service was great everyone was very friendly and the ambiance was 10/10

Alina P.

Yelp
Great food and amazing people! Was close to all the attractions. Great place to watch sports or the inauguration :) Will visit again!

Emily S.

Yelp
We've come twice now and have no complaints. The first time it was a slower night so we sat at a table and service was 5/5. We got the buffalo chicken wrap (every needs to try this) w curly fries and a burger with curly fries as well. Both were delicious. The second time we came on wing night right around Halloween and it was SLAMMED! We sat at the bar this time and despite it being extremely busy service was still extremely friendly and fast! We got a grilled chicken caesar wrap and 20 wings (.50 wings cannot be beat). The wings were soooooo good, they were juicy and had really good flavor. They have a really good selection of beer and it is so reasonably priced. Definitely will be making this a frequent spot!

Fiona T.

Yelp
Friendly staff, a fun atmosphere, and delicious pub food. I highly recommend checking them out!

Linnea E.

Yelp
Great trivia spot but underwhelming menu offerings for the price. I tried the chicken sliders for $14 (plus a $1.94 dc fee) so after tip I spent almost $20 on what was essentially 4 chicken nuggets on buns. Service was awesome and really friendly and Two Girls trivia is definitely worth the visit but I'll stick to the curly fries next time - those were really good!

Alma C.

Yelp
Susie and Brick are some of my favorite bartenders. I recommend the wing deal on Wednesday. Beer could be a little colder.

Mike I.

Yelp
Local bar feel ... good, not great beer selection ... the nachotots were great! Servers were super attentive!

Andrew C.

Yelp
Great neighborhood pub with excellent selection of draft beers- Old Bay Wings were spot on, French Fries with Old Bay seasoning was the best had here and very good cheeseburger. Friendly bartender, manager was very attentive change TVs to accommodate games we wanted to watch. Recommend Union Pub- good atmosphere's.

Rachel A.

Yelp
The outdoor covered area is pretty dirty, but popular and has room for lots of people. Servers were very nice. Sadly, food was pretty mid. Grilled cheese is not very grilled. Fries are not great. Fried pickles are breaded all wrong so the breading falls off and you just have a hot pickle with no crunch. My friend got wings and said they were good and a large quantity, so go for wings, skip other food.

Miss D.

Yelp
This establishment is my guilty pleasure for Nashville wings and curly fries. As amazing as their wings are- they are sadly not Black friendly (unless you are one of their paid bouncers). Situated in the heart of Washington DC you know the moment you walk in who they cater to and the length of time you spend waiting to be acknowledged confirms your suspicions. It's ideal for grab and go- but whenever I sit to it, I am left to questioned if I am safe consuming the food when it reaches me. After today's unsettling experience- I'm not sure it is even worth giving of my money to this establishment for a grab and go. It's been real Edit: after I received my Nashville Hot wings order, it is safe to say that I bid adieu to the establishment. Please rename the wings to Nashville. They went from Hot, to sub- medium the last few times I came here, to just plain old Nashville. There is no spice whatsoever in the sauce. (Go figure- white DC patron ).

Ian W.

Yelp
Cool place for a beer, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the worst I've ever had, though. Truly atrocious. Fries were good, staff was nice, but I want to know what that chicken breast did to the cook to earn such a horrible fate.

Christopher N.

Yelp
Great service and fast and timely. The food was excellent and well prepared. The music was relaxing on a stressful day as it was. Was able to refuel and get back at it. Thank you Union Pub.

Audrey R.

Yelp
name one thing I love more than chicks wings....yeah that's right, 40 cent chicken wings at union!!! - welcome to wing wednesday, when my hangry boys and I go to Union pub to eat multiples of 10 chicken wings for 40 cents a pop - these wings are pretty damn good, the old bay ones shocked me (I mean dry rub....what about that sounds appealing in any way) - super meaty and hefty wings like we LIKE TO SEE - beware two drink minimum so order all together if you're not in the mood. loved my gin n tonic but that cancels out the price discount here - only complaint is Buffalo sauce is not spicy enough like if ppl can't handle spice they can order old bay, bbq, or plain - ranch and blue cheese were average but the old bay didn't even need any w all that flavor (just don't say dry rub out loud)

Tatum C.

Yelp
its so unfortunate bc they have such good chili and just food and drinks in general, but 1: they allow kids on the patio which is insanely annoying imo... 2: the kitchen closes way too early and they dont clarify that on their website. i came here to eat just for them to tell me the kitchen already closed.. which is totally fine BUT they like dont clarify that ANYWHERE :(

Daniel R.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for Tuesday trivia! We loved the small and intimate area, the extremely kind bartender, and the delicious food. I am never turning down totchos haha but these rocked. Excited to come back here for more trivia!

Joe M.

Yelp
We had lunch and got barbecue wings that were great. The Vege chiaboti sandwich that was excellent. The sweet potato fries were also excellent. The food arrived hot and fresh. TVs have sports. Service was very good. Seems like a good spot for their happy hour specials.

Neil H.

Yelp
Great food. Great friendly service. Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic bar vibes. Fun place to watch a game or just grab a beer. Patio is always serviceable.

Orest S.

Yelp
Interesting place. I've been there just once. The wings are good (not great). I also had a weird situation with the ordering, as I got a beer at a bar, but the food from waitress, and they were not synced. So I was the one who did a wrong thing :)

Charlie M.

Yelp
I ordered via DoorDash and everything went smoothly. My food was ready when it said it would be and was still warm when I got home to eat it. I ordered the burger and substituted the normal fries with curly fries. You get a lot of fries and the burger was perfect & delicious! I wasn't there very long but inside looked like the perfect sports bar with plenty of TVs and plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy time with friends or to watch whatever DC sports might be on.

Paul G.

Yelp
Dope spot with a lot of bar space! Especially when the weather is looking good! This spot has 2 bars and some good stuff on draft with an extensive list of bottles. It give me the regular pub vibes but also on a classy tip, more so when the white and blue collar people come in after work for happy hour during the week. The food slaps man! I love there deal for wings on Wednesday's.. also they also have a few more deals through out the week. Can't forget the music definitely a good selection!!! If you're looking for a vibe along side some good food and drinks.. possibly even a good convo or dance off lol this is your spot to be at!

Yelp
Came here while in DC to do some team building away from the hustle of the hotel we were staying at. When we arrived there was hardly anyone in here which made for a pleasant evening. When we came in we were shown to a seat and immediately asked to be moved. Not because it was a bad table, but the night we were here it was unreasonably cold and windy as all could be. Every time that door opened we got a gust of the very cold air outside and decided it was time to not be near a wind tunnel. After we moved we were greeted by our servers. We had two, the night we were here a young man was being trained and we were along for the ride. We kind of sent him for a loop, because we went a little crazy on the menu. Since this was essentially going to be a working meal, we order a lot of different things. Shout out to James, you were amazing, even though you were on your last night of training I hope we weren't too harsh to deal with. We went with all apps basically. We ordered Plain 'ol Tater Tots (one regular and one spiced them up a bit with added cheese and bacon), Pickle Fries, Fried Cheese Curds, Curly Fries, Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, and some wings. Our table looked like we had been out bar crawling all day by the time everything arrived. It was nice since we were all sharing a bunch of things and going over work related issues. After a bit work went out the window and we focused on our food and drink. We started to dip things in other sauces that weren't matched and found our flavor combos working just fine for us. As the baskets got emptier and the glasses lower we started to wind down for the night and made our farewell to James. He truly did make the night more fun for us. He was very good at his job and easy to carry on a conversation with. Decent place to stop and I am sure it is better when there is a game on or when the weather is nice. The outside area looked pretty amazing, but not on a cold, windy night.

Yelp
In for a few days of sightseeing. Ended up in this neighborhood because of a VRBO mishap. Closer to town - great, but it's a bit residential. We were trying to find something easy and kid friendly. This checked all of that - but I should have been more discerning with something like "better than a TV dinner." 15 year old ordered a grilled cheese - a simple grilled cheese. She said it "had no flavor." How is that possible? I asked her "Does the cheese at least make it salty or savory?" And just said "it tastes like nothing." The fries were unsalted. The wife and I split a Turkey Reuben. The turkey was oddly...round. Like it came out of an Oscar Meyer container from Safeway. Which brings me to the fried pickles. I'm not sure when they were fried, but it wasn't recently. They were probably "lightly microwaved" and still even then, had an oddly firm consistency, like someone put frozen Vlassic slices into lukewarm oil. They came with a sauce - sriracha Mayo I think. It was flavorless Mayo with just a touch of insect repellent. My youngest just looked up after a couple of bites and said "this is gross." She's 12. You've been warned.

Samantha G.

Yelp
It's ok. Food was fine. I wouldn't deliberately seek this spot out for their food. The burger was decent. The curly fries were good. The buffalo chicken dip was ok. The buffalo chicken salad was meh. The cheese curds were the best of what we ordered.

Brittany N.

Yelp
I came here to watch some college fooball. I am visiting from California, The bartender was very nice and accomadating. I received my drinks in less than 5 minutes. I ordered the sausage and eggs, I was amazed the food was very tasty. It came out hot and ready to be enjoyed. Thank you :) #rolltide

Yelp
I think I need a drink. Almost everybody does only they don't know it... was famously said by Charley Bukowski and Union Pub is a fantastic place to do exactly that, especially on a sunny day, sitting outside with your beer and people who make you happy. My fiancée and I had a spectacular 'sunday-funday' drinking and eating top-notch bar food - the wings and the totchos - a spectacular amalgamation of tater-tots, chicken, cheese, guac, etc... idk, look it up, I was day drinking at the time, but I vividly remember how happy I was digging in. I recommend you do the same - pick a sunny day and swing by Union Pub to see what the exact number of buffalo wings or tater-tots you need to accompany your beer, now that you know you need it.

Shari D.

Yelp
If you're looking for decent service, lots of space and ample tv's, look no further! Stopped by here a few times before to catch a game, and couldn't help but come back! The Chilli is so tasty, it was hearty and the cheese melted in sooo easily! The food and drinks are moderately priced, the bartenders are friendly and will definitely make your experience one to remember.

Peter W.

Yelp
Food was terrible. Not worth the cost. Forced 22% tip on tables of 5 plus and you can't split it. (Even when the restaurant is empty). Very loud.

Caleb R.

Yelp
Service is slow and management is lacking. Went for bottomless mimosas and it was a waste of money. Everyone at the table has to pay for bottomless regardless of if they drink and good luck getting a refill if you do drink. Waiter looked like he was in shock when we asked to split the check and he was too confused. This place is definitely not nice enough to force everyone to pay for bottomless!

Jocelyn H.

Yelp
I've been here before a few years ago. I had an ok meal then. But today I'm here to watch the bears game. The space is pretty open. Arrived early in case I'd have to wait. Plenty of open tables. You seat yourself. Took a while for the server to come over, but it seems there are only two here today. When she came over she was not very friendly or welcoming but took my order and explained how my mimosa would come out. I ordered the breakfast classic. They did not bring out my grits. Took a while to get her attention to tell her that plus asking for condiments. After about 20 min I still haven't received my grits and my other food is cold. So I'll just enjoy the game and the unlimited mimosas. Next time I'll just get wings and fries to be safe.

Keilon L.

Yelp
I've passed this place many times and finally stopped in due to them being open during the mid day on weekdays and also having a football--err--soccer match that I really wanted to see which wasn't popularly televised at a number of other bars higher on my list. The pros here start with the fact that they have a pretty solid beer selection that rotates with some diverse options. The happy hour specials are also pretty good with 2 good Belgium beer options on additional special during my visit. If I'm not mistaken there's happy hour each day and then an additional drink special in addition to this which changes daily (though I could be wrong). The food was just ok. I ordered "That One Burger" and it was...just ok, despite all the praise the bartender gave it and people coming in to order it. I do have to note that immediately as my burger was being brought out, I got a breaking news message about romaine lettuce being tainted all over the US (literally as my plate was sat in front of me) and as you can see the large cut of romaine is a big part of the burger. I immediately pulled it off along with the tomato (sigh). The patty was a little over cooked for the medium-well that I asked for. It's probably my fault for not just saying medium and leaving it at that. Again, it wasn't bad, a little salty, but not bad. The fries were well seasoned, and also quite salty. I was really hungry so I finished my meal but under different circumstances, I'm not sure completely how I'd have treated it. Another note, the midday bartender on this Tuesday before Thanksgiving was a bit moody. I noticed it and another in my party who came later noticed but the evening bartender who came at the start of happy hour was very chill and a much friendlier guy. Would I come back here; probably out of convenience to union station and happy hour specials but I can't say it has moved any further up my list (I've got an extensive DC list but typically limited time when I'm here).

Zaria D.

Yelp
Yes!!! This place was awesome. I went with friends after someone suggested it to us based on convenient distance to the capital. We were able to seat ourselves. It was packed due to lunch time. Our server was nice and friendly. We placed our orders fast. I got the chicken philly and fries but also ordered sweet potato fries as an appetizer. The fries came out fast and the group loved them. They were fresh, hot and flavorful. Some of the best I have had. Then our food came out. I thought I may have to add something to my meal, but it was seasoned just right. It was one of the best chicken philly sandwiches that I have had in a long time. The fries were good too. I really enjoyed this meal. I would definitely return. Service was good. He was attentive even when it was busy. He separated our checks which was great because some people had to leave earlier than others. The food was terrific and flavored to my liking.

Shaybree H.

Yelp
Honestly, this place was mid. It took a while to get our food, and the food was average at best. Our server only checked on us twice, so it was frustrating to eat this not-even-very-good food.

Alexis M.

Yelp
Got food poisoning here earlier this year. Wings were undercooked but they said the kitchen was closed so they couldn't make new ones. I was throwing up all night after stomach pain. Ended up almost passing out, had to go to the emergency room. They put lots of fluids in me since I threw up everything in my system Also the white people (other customers)will be rude to the people of color there

Karen H.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of this establishment. Have been here probably once or twice a month over the past year. I love this place! Today, however, I was so disrespected I wanted to walk out. Our server, a Caucasian man with dark hair and forearm tattoos and a gem around his neck, was extremely rude to my visiting mother and brother when he didn't understand if we wanted the "wings and fries" option or if we wanted "wings" and "fries" (two separate things). After explaining it, I apologized to my brother and explained that the wings and explained that the wings and fries phenomenon was a little complicated. The waiter then BUTTS IN to tell me it's not complicated at all. I then laugh and say it was more complicated than it needs to be, and he doubles down that it wasn't complicated. Absolutely rude to my brother and to myself. This waiter is an embarrassment to this great establishment. Would attach a picture of him but don't want to sink down to his level.

Daisy M.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious food. I had to place an on-line order that needed to be delivered in a specific time period due to a tight lunch hour, on a busy Saturday - and the team swooped in and helped me navigate a tricky order. Seems that the lunch items that were desired, somehow did not appear on the website. The team heard my plea - took my large order and got it to where it needed to be, quickly and deliciously . Danielle was on the spot with her terrific customer service and great attitude. P.S. The Turkey/Ruben was outta sight. Thanks for the ole' school customer service! EAT HERE!!

Kristin A.

Yelp
Union Pub is part dive bar, part sports bar, & part pub lunch destination. Somehow it manages to do all three pretty successfully. Here you'll find a hunting video game, multiple tvs, a jukebox, 2 full bars, not-so-clean bathrooms, HH specials and the main thing I come for...loud Bears fans. (I believe it's also a FSU bar if that's your team). But hey, you're not coming here for a 5 star experience so it is it's not a bad place just not over the top amazing either. If you live over 10 miles, I wouldn't make the trek unless you're a die hard Bears or FSU fan BUT if you live or work nearby, go grab a beer. For the food: I do highly recommend the Chicken Philly sandwich...it's one of the best grease on bread sandwiches I've had. The wings aren't bad either.

Carolina B.

Yelp
This is my go to bar. Few blocks from my house, walking distance and open till 2am! Food is pretty consistent. I love the buffalo wings! They are cooked to perfection and I always ask for only drum sticks, extra crispy and they oblige. They are a bar but their kitchen cooks up some mean wings and great chicken Cesar salad. At least once a week I go here just for the salad. You get the entire stalk of the Romain but they charr it for added flavor before serving. They have daily happy hour specials and during the holiday season they carried Trongs mad elf on draft. I was soooo excited about this and to share the love for that beer when family came over to visit. It was a little piece of Ny! Other thing I really love about this place is that they are very neighborhood friendly. They often have many specials if there are special events like Super Bowl, New Years, olympics, of professional football. They also play soccer which is cool because not a lot of bars offer this. Oh yes, they even gave furlough specials when the govt shut down! The place is huge and has two bars. One is bigger than the other but the service is great on both. They offer unlimited boozie brunch that I haven't partaked on yet. But it's on my list. They play great music, and it varies. Some days it's top hits, other 90's music and other times hip hop yay! The ambiance is casual, divey feel, but who wants to go to a stuffy place after a long day at the office. Here you feel like home. Good Service and no pushy waiters trying to get you out.

Craig M.

Yelp
Great wing prices for happy house on Wednesdays. Maggie is a amazing server! Everything was quick, perfect and she made me feel welcomed the entire time.

Jessica W.

Yelp
Been coming here for years for Bears games. Food has changed a little bit over the years but one thing that had stayed elite is the burger. SO good and made to order, I always upgrade to the curly fries because delicious. The staff have been consistent and remember you, although they have a lot of people to serve I just sit at the bar and don't wait to be asked for my needs. Holidays are also a nice vibe because they decorate!

Kate C.

Yelp
I enjoyed the space, which was accessible (may want to put a railing along the ramp to get in though) and had a celebratory atmosphere. Service was good. However, I don't like being lied to. The menu advertises a "black bean burger," which I ordered. I was given a veggie burger. You just need to be real about the items you are offering- change your menu to reflect what you serve.

Moni T.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting, and this place doesn't disappoint. From there special's and to the taste and quality of food, I'm always impressed!! I'm pretty sure I'll be back again!!

Jessica C.

Yelp
I'm from out of town (Michigan), the service is second to none, and the food is amazing. Thanks to the friendly staff, you made my stay in Washington DC a much more enjoyable experience. have to rave about the Old Bay Crab Tots as well as the Buffalo Chicken Totchos; decent drink specials that last past a standard happy hour as well!

Lochan S.

Yelp
This is a fantastic pub to go to if you're just in town for a bit on a solo work trip (super friendly bar staff). When there is politically relevant stuff happening on TV, they often play it and have relevant themed drinks which are super fun!

Jess L.

Yelp
My friends, and my daughter and I came here on Saturday for a good time and to eat. It wasn't all that great. Our server was taking a long time in getting us things that we needed. I had the spicy chicken quesadillas, my daughter and friends had the Buffalo chicken wrap. Their chicken was dry and not as tasty as my daughter or friends stated.

Israel S.

Yelp
Great food! The wings were excellent! Great game day specials too! If you are in the DC area and want to watch a Bears game with Bear fans, this is the place to go! Fun atmosphere, really good food and a great location! The Bears let us down but Union Pub did not!

Mori T.

Yelp
Love the variety of food. Service was great. Love the outdoor seating. Fun place to eat and drink at.

Mayura I.

Yelp
Came here for their happy hour on Tuesday. There's a great outdoor area with pretty ample seating, even if you're coming in a big group. Their Tuesday Happy Hour drink specials were okay ($6 for well drinks, $13 bud light pitcher, $4.50 select bourbons, $4.50 Belgian bottles), but would have loved to see more beer specials or even a wine special, as well as a food special. Additionally, there wasn't a happy hour menu provided. However, the drink specials change daily, and the nice thing is that it's happy hour from 5 pm to close Monday-Friday. Service was pretty slow, even though we had 4 different servers attend to us. Food: Options were decent - my favorite was the cheese curds (would DEFINITELY order these again), and my least favorite by far was the spicy chicken quesadilla (having lived in both Mexico and Texas, it was definitely neither Mexican nor Tex-Mex). Other things we tried: -Fried pickles: more pickle than fry, and not too greasy -Crab cake sandwich: the tater tots were excellent and come with a homemade ranch (which wasn't as creamy as I like usually), and the crab cake was decent but have had better crab cakes -Buffalo chicken wrap: again, tots were excellent. The wrap tasted solid but fell apart almost immediately. Verdict: It's close to work so I will probably return for a happy hour at some point since the food and drinks were decent, and the hours for the happy hour are great, but probably wouldn't make the trip if was further away.

Austin F.

Yelp
We went here to get a quick bite after seeing the capital, the service was amazing. I had the wings and fries some the best wings I've had.
