What an underwhelming experience. I came here on Saturday, December 7th around 5:00pm. There was no line like the other times I have been here, so you would think you'd be in and out with quick service with your order.
There was a couple in front of me in line who waited a total of 10 minutes for their ice cream to be made, which meant I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for mine to be made, once again, there was no line, and definitely no reason for the service to take so long.
It was a younger looking girl creating all the orders who kept talking to her coworker, a young gentleman, who was at the cashier the entire time and not assisting in speeding up the process to get orders created (No idea what he was working on at the cashier when he easily could've helped create the orders).
The experience was mainly underwhelming due to how long the service took for them to make the orders. The younger girl and the gentleman at the cashier were engaging in casual conversations the entire time, not putting any effort/rush in the orders. They would even say to each other "Oh I wonder what time Patagonia closes", and they'd keep stopping the work on the order they've been working on to look across the street and would just laugh and slow down the order they were working on. When they started finally working on my order, the young girl says to her coworker, "Wow, today has been so slow!" - Well, it certainly was super SLOW for those of us waiting to get our orders. Again, there was no one else waiting so no reason for the orders to be taking this long.
I was ready to put on an apron and make my order myself at that point.
I love love love going to 21 choices because of the infamous Saucy Sailor order. I have never had the Saucy Sailor lacking in quality before. There was barely any peanut butter/caramel/ and the cookie dough in my cup almost seemed as if they didn't even take the time to crush it upon creating it.
I would much rather go back to the other 21 Choices location in Claremont due to this inadequate quality of service at the Pasadena location.
