We stopped by 21 Grams Urban Balkan Bistro for breakfast, and it honestly felt like a journey — not just a meal. The food was full of character, layered with flavor, and clearly made with intention. It’s not often you find a place where every bite feels like it belongs to a different chapter of the same story.
As a surprise bonus, once we arrived, we found out it’s actually a Michelin-star restaurant — and it absolutely lives up to that recognition.
The bread was warm, rustic, and perfect on its own — but paired with their hummus and eggplant spread, it became something else entirely. Rich, earthy, comforting. The borek pie with cheese was the real standout. Flaky, savory, and full of that unmistakable Balkan soul — it transported me straight to a café somewhere in the hills of Sarajevo or Belgrade.
The sausage was another pleasant surprise — high quality, well-seasoned, and served just right. Everything on the table felt thought-out but not overdone. It was honest food, made exceptionally well.
The vibe of the place matched the food: warm, urban, slightly nostalgic — with a rhythm of its own. If you’re in Dubai and want a breakfast that’s anything but ordinary, 21 Grams is where you need to be. I’ll be back, and I’ll be bringing friends.
