Yelp
We came to Hazies for a post mountain drink and were ecstatic with the service and the drinks! I'd highly recommend the Hot Honey Old Fashioned, but do not, I repeat, do not leave without trying the Blue Bird Lavender Martini. Hands down, this was the best drink we had in all of Steamboat during our entire vacation. Shoutout to Lindsey for great service and Hazies has the best views from the top of the mountain. Check them out now!

Yelp
We went up for sunset music at Thunderhead Lodge and were reminded Hazies was open. Four of us were seated without a reservation although it is recommended. Our waiter Steve absolutely blew us away with his attentiveness and pace of the meal. We had a four course fixed offering with each course prepared perfectly. Steve knew great wine offerings to go with our meal selection as well. Really well done Hazies Team! We will be back soon, KR

Yelp
Thought the drinks were terrific and the food was awesome. Limited menu but something for everybody. Spectacular view.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience, so happy Hazie's is open again. The food selection is wonderful, the service was over the top from Jacklyn, and we never tire of the view. Very exciting night at no extra charge was the shuttle service we had to take to get off the mountain due to the wind, gondola was not able to operate -

Yelp
We ate at Hazie's while skiing Steamboat Mountain. It's located at the top of the Gondola lift. It has great views of the mountain and a nice menu. We ordered the Duck Wings, Lamb Meatballs, and Mushroom Fondue. All were delicious. Kudos on the Duck Wings and Fondue. Amazing! We also ordered the Lobster Bisque. It's a bit different than we are used to, as it's more like a gravy than a bisque. We limited our dining to just apps as we still had a ton of skiing to do after dining. Service was excellent. All in all a great experience! RECOMMENDED

Yelp
Awesome dinner tonight at the room of the gondola!! Highly recommend. Great service from Jacklyn and great food.

Yelp
Expect waiting for the Gondola in Long lines. We arrived at 4:50 and it was an hour wait and more then 300 deep. We didn't realize there was an entrance for Hazel guests!!!! It was super hot waiting out in the full sun in the summer. No ac in the gondola and no fans. My mom almost passed out. Once we got to the top we checked out the third floor happy hour and it was hot (no ac) and crowded. We realized our reservation at Hazie's allowed for no wait lines and free gondola trip. Plus their bar is much quieter and relaxing. Wish we had known that before paying for the other gondola ride and waiting forever in line. Best tip- So you can just Drink at Hazie's bar and have apps and skip the line!!! Be aware there's no AC so it's not as cold as we would've liked. The windows and the view are beautiful but there are several windows where they didn't get shades so the sun was blazing on our table. The restrooms ate down a floor so be prepared for stairs. We made dinner reservations and had drinks in the bar. Kristin the bar tender was welcoming and warm and friendly. The general dining menu is pre-fixe but does allow for kids at a reduced cost. Sarah was a great waitress. Staff supported the bread and drinks as able. The manager/assist Sara was a big help with bar and food runs. Caesar salad needed more dressing or bacon/Parm toppings. It was lack luster. Emerald mountain martini was awesome. We also enjoyed several Old fashioned. The Elk steaks were OK. Iatbe shouldn't have strayed from traditional beef. They exerts were pretty good. But we don't eat that much so this was way too much food for us.

Yelp
All the staff at Hazie's went above and beyond! From the hostess, to the manager and especially Shelly (the best bartender) We came in for NYE and they made the night perfect! Go and see Shelly, she makes the best cocktails!!

Yelp
Top of the mountain food that isn't a $15 hot dog. Good service and a really great cheese mushroom fondue. We got a side of fries which were limp. Good coffee and a nice pleasant view with full service.

Yelp
Regretfully unable to ride Gondola up due to bad weather but got to the brunch on time. The decor and logistics have changed from a couple of years ago but the variety and food choices were still the same and pretty wonderful. The organization allows more attentive service in an upstairs and downstairs view with plenty of views for all. The prime rib and smoked turkey were appreciated as were the cheese blintzes and shrimp cocktail. Of course the chocolates fountain with the various dipping accoutrements was a hit for all and experienced by all of our party of six. Ryan did a great job taking care of us and was attentive in clearing dishes quickly and providing refills on our various drinks.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch on a snowy day. We did not have a reservation but it was only about a 15 min wait for a table for two. The hostess updated me often with what was going on with the table we were getting. There is a bar to the right and a small seating area to the left (past the salad bar). There was also a loft area for seating but I think that is only used for dinner. There are great views from every table. Once seated, it took a little bit of time for our waitress to arrive at our table. She apologized for our wait when she arrived. We had a voucher for two free glasses of champagne so we decided to use them. She returned with the champagne and warm bread (both were delicious). I opted for the "Waldorf Chicken Salad" while my fiance had the "Chicken Shepard's Pie." I was shocked at the amount of food my lunch had. The plate was overflowing! My fiance said his was just the right amount for lunch and a day headed back to the slopes. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich along with the meat from the second half, a few sweet potato chips (this made me sad as they were very good) and my fruit. The desserts sounded very tempting but there just wasn't any room left. Good food, good views, nice service and rather decently priced for the amount of food you get. We will most likely be stopping back in during our next trip!

Yelp
Nice place on the Mountain for Lunch or to take the Gondola for Evening Dinner. I stop about once a month for a bowl of soup and a Jasper (local name for an Arnold Palmer). The staff is top notch and the ambiance is a step up from the Stoker Bar immediately below. I visit Hazie's to relax after a hard morning powder day but most of the time it is either the Food Court at Thunderhead or Rendezvous, The Deck at either place on a Blue Bird Day or just ski to the bottom for home or maybe Slopeside.

Yelp
During ski season and on New Years Eve day, this place was slammed! Thankfully we had reservations and I would recommend making some if you want a table. Husband had the lunch buffet which had one meat option, turkey and mashed potatoes, a couple salads, cheese tray, etc. The buffet was priced at $23 or $24 a person. A little high, in my opinion, and no gravy! The staff brought him Au Jus was helped. Granddaughter had Pork Belly Sliders and I had Lobster Mac & Cheese. Both great options and filling. We started with the Trio Bread & Dipping platter as an appetizer and it was great! Hazies is a great place to eat that provides killer views. Prices may seem high to some.

Yelp
Food was great at Hazie's, my server was amazing. However I noticed after I settled out at my table amd went over to the bar for a drink the manager (blonde female) was micro managing like crazy. She made customers feel uncomfortable and the bartender seemed frustrated with her. Learn to trust your employees more and that will correlate to the customers.

Yelp
The food was terrible. Christmas dinner was a huge disappointment. Kids medium rare filets were well done. Veal shank was dry and had to be sent back. Shannon our waiter was incredible and deserved five stars. The ride up and the atmosphere was 4 stars. The food was just terrible for the price. 89 for an adult and 39 for kids. 7 people 4 adults 3 kids was a 600 tab for terrible food

Yelp
Back in Steamboat for the Pow and Hazie's is still kick'n it. Rode up on the Gondola after dark - very romantic, private ride, with blankets and a gazillion stars - yes it works! Ok about the food. Drinks at he bar overlooking the Yampa Valley and the town of Steamboat: They infuse vodka with everything - try something you'll like it. If not try it again - I guarantee you'll like it. The view is incredible. Crab and Artichoke appetizer - wife says one of the best appetizers she has ever had. Elk tenderloin - perfectly prepared and delicious. Sea bass - tender, flaky, and full of favor - it was the catch of the day so it varies. They have a decent wine list and at around 9,000 feet ASL, the martini and a few glasses of wine, the view - it just works! Yep, this is a winner!

Yelp
My wife is in a wheelchair and, unfortunately, we need to deal with restaurant ADA issues. It's a pain and these guys have some challenges on this front. No, my 5*'s isn't a typo and I would even give them top marks on this. It's a decades-old building full of stairs and narrow passageways, and it's a bit of a stretch to make it accessible. It's impossible to make it inviting. The route involves a freight elevator and a trip through the kitchen, and the procedure at the gondola base isn't exactly convenient. OK, I don't have a problem with that. Their job is to make it possible, not to make it scenic. It is. Again, it's an old building, that's part of their charm, and all this ADA business is a retrofit. The parts that they could make fabulous, they did. The staff was awesome and helpful throughout it all. It's clean and well maintained, even back by the freight dock. The food was wonderful. The view is the best in the state. It wasn't even terribly expensive (on Steamboat budgets). I recommend them to all but specifically to handicapped guests. It's more than the usual amount of trouble to get in and out and you may feel like avoiding them for this reason but you'll be missing something special if you do. They'll make you feel welcome. It's totally worth it and who in the ADA community hasn't seen the inside of a freight elevator more than a few times?

Yelp
Popped in for lunch after our gondola ride up. This is the definition of tourist trap. Three people ordered burgers with fries. They were all super salty and the fries were so salty you could barely eat them. Ordered lobster bisque that was served like warm at best. Wouldn't eat here again. The cafeteria food looked and smelled way better.

Yelp
My husband and I rode the gondola up for a Sunday brunch. We made a reservation for 10:00 am but we got on the gondola around 9:30 so we could poke around a bit before we were seated. We checked in at the base and the lady told us not to got to the hostess stand until 10:15 am as all reservations take in account the 10 minute ride and they would not be ready for us at 10. Fair enough. At 10:12ish we check in and are told that they just ran out of tables on the deck and would have no choice but to eat inside. Okay, fine. As I watched the morning progress MANY people were seated outside and there seemed to be no method to who did and who didn't. Perhaps making a ginormous fuss like the party seated directly behind us who were moved to the deck halfway through the meal? The views were nice but from where were, not exceptional. Not the end of the world, again. You know what is a far larger problem? Spending over a $100.00 for brunch for horrible, shameful, pitiful food. Over processed, far from fresh, cold or room temperature, oddly colored food. Other than the pineapple, this food was just God awful. The consistency, the flavor the choices, the presentation. Sad. This is NO WAY worth your money. Not even a little. Our free continental breakfast at hotel FAR EXCEEDS this food. Our server, Kristen was exceptional. She was nice and warm and helpful and extremely good at what she does. Thank you Kristen. She was easily the best thing about the meal. Good friendly service and the option of exploring the trails and meandering around some beautiful country saved the entire "brunch." If this review was based on only the food Hazie's offers I would be subtracting stars. So disappointing.

Yelp
Had literally one of the worst meals of my life here. Bad service which starts at reception and ends with deaf management. Avoid 100%.

Yelp
Spectacular views and great service. The menu is very promising but not all we ordered was a hit. The quinoa burger my friend got looked divine and her fries were perfect. The regular burger I got was good but nothing spectacular. The calamari was AMAZING - so tender and delicious but not your usual rings...it was cut in strips. Everyone seemed to love the lobster Mac and cheese though it's not my thing so I can't comment. My friend got a burrata appetizer and said it was ok. The drinks were good but small with lots of ice.

Yelp
We were in town for MusicFest and since it was my girlfriends birthday I'd thought we would splurge a little bit. We took the gondola ride up to Hazies. It was dark by the time we started but it's still a good view from up top. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks. Nothing special but maybe a little pricy (which will be a theme in this but I do understand it includes the gondola ride and a good view). For starters we got the soup de jour and a Cesar salad. Both were a 7/10. Nothing special but were enjoyable. The entrees were definitely the best part. My girlfriend got the beef loin and I got the elk. The elk along with the pairings were amazing. Cooked just right, not over-seasoned. The beef was just as good. We had zero complaints with the entrees. Now dessert was hit and miss. The deconstructed cheesecake sounded amazing and was played just as well. However, it didn't meet the hype. I was not satisfied with it at all and it had little to no resemblance of a cheesecake. My girlfriend got the chocolate something. Now that was a dessert. It was beautiful and tasted wonderful. Overall, if you don't mind spending the money, it's not a bad experience, however, we went to E3 the next night and I'd highly suggest that instead. Same price and twice the portions.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch on our way down the mountain and we were surprised to see a soup and salad buffet full of authentic Philippino food. It was amazing! We learned it was home made delicious food from the chef intern Clyde's grandmothers recipe. Such a treat. Everything was excellent. Can't wait to go back. He's a chef to watch.

Yelp
Great mountain dining and bre prepared to pay for it! Hazie's has a view that can't be beaten in Steamboat ... It is a great place to relax with a absolutely stupendous view of the valley. Great service and the manager always stops by to make sure that your experience is a great one. (One time I mentioned that my Elk steak was cooked past (Medium to my request for Med. Rare) what I ordered and they manager had another one brought out. Wouldnt accept that I didnt need them to do that) My only improvement would be the portion sizes ... i know everything goes up the gondola or in a snowcat during the winter, but at those prices, a little larger portion size would be good.

Yelp
I've visited Steamboat Springs several times but just had my first visit to Hazie's in March 2016. I took the "Moonlit Snowshoe Tour" offered by the resort, which was a 1 hour easy snowshoe walk and tour followed by dinner at Hazie's. As part of our evening meal associated with the tour, we got to enjoy a three course meal. I understand the menu changes, but on my visit I enjoyed the soup, scallops, and the chocolate petite gateau as my selections. The scallops were cooked to perfection and had a surprising garnish of pop rocks! I wasn't expecting this explosion in my mouth, yet somehow it just worked and was really, really tasty. The petite gateau was chocolately chocolate perfection - so rich and smooth. Our server, Jacob, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and quite nice. His service really enhanced our dining experience! Hazie's is open for lunch and dinner. It's certainly a fine dining experience, but any attire is welcome. You can step right in off the slopes or get a little more dressed up for dinner (if you want! If not, still come in your ski pants!). I can't believe it took me so long to try Hazie's, but I'm really glad I know now I won't be missing it on future trips to Steamboat!

Yelp
Here's good advice. Get a bowl of soup in the bar either before or after the lunch crowd has come and gone, sit near the window, and take in the view. Good stuff. Hazie's is easy to get to as its at the top of the Gondola. More advice: if it's snowing, make lunch reservations at Ragnars the night before, or at least before you head up in the morning. You have to ski over to Ragnars. Food's all good, best is a mug of hot Glühwein! That'll put a glow on the rest of your runs!
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
Hazie's, located in the upper gondola station, is the best bar with a view on the mountain in my book. There's a choice of buffet, with carving station, or ordering from the daily menu. The bar is especially popular with the locals. If Brian is tending bar, be sure to try one of his signature Hot Bloody Marys, the key ingredient being high-end vodka, infused (i.e. marinated for days) with several types of chili peppers. A wonderfully complex and refreshing cap to a great day of skiing the 'Boat.

Yelp
We had 8 pm reservations. Seated at 8. Did not receive water until 8:30 pm. Restaurant overbooked and understaffed. If the holiday is the busiest time of year and everyone has reservations- wouldn't you plan ahead? It's 9:30 pm and no dinner and have had to aggressively ask for water refills and our drinks. Temperature in room room hot as hell and no view. Lights are up too high so you can't see anything out the window. Very slow service. I feel sorry for the wait staff. Chef probably really good. Had one crab cake. Delicious and the soup delicious. But crying kids, sauna, no view and no service not worth it! Don't do it. Food was good. Waitress and staff nice. Just need to get the basics down better for the holiday crowd.

Yelp
Everything was absolutely wonderful! We got our requested seat by the window. Service was great & very attentive. Had the wedge salad & elk steak--both were excellent! Was a little leery after reading some of the reviews but our experience was fantastic on all counts. Would definitely recommend & will be returning ASAP.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to this dinner with my family , was very disappointed in this restaurant . For it being a highly rated top tier restaurant it was a big let down . Service was mediocre at best ! Water glasses were not refilled had to ask all the time , my son beverage was not brought to him had to have waitress reminded . The salad and appetizer was delicious ! My husband main course was was awful he had the ribeye and it was full of grizzle and fat ! and the wait staff proceeded to inform us that is due to the marbling !! " what" I have dine a lot of places I don't think I need people to tell me about marbling of meat!!! Dessert so so Won't be going back Manger was not that nice They did comp my husband meal Over price place tourist trap!! But great views!!

Yelp
They have decent food and a great drink list. Nachos and Broccoli Cheese soup in a bread bowl were satisfying but nothing to make me really want to come back. They have a great hot drink list though. Nothing like a Swedish Hot Chocolate (vanilla vodka, cinnamon schnapps, hot chocolate) during a blizzard. Our server was super cool, laid back, and great at her job.

Katy K.

Yelp
Went for a girls lunch and it was fantastic. We had wedge salad that was super special with chunks of bacon not just crumbles, onion soup-very yummy, I had a hamburger- had very nice homemade pickles on it, friends had French dip which is made from their own prime rib not just from a box and the trout which my friend loved. Planning another girls lunch before it closes for the season!!!

Yelp
We recently went to Hazie's for dinner and had a great time. Joey was our server and he was great! He was obviously having issues with other difficult tables (which I only noticed because I have worked in the service industry as well), but he didn't skip a beat and was still very attentive and a joy as a server. The food runner and everyone that we encountered in the restaurant was extremely pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend Hazie's! The prices are high but you should be expecting that before hand. Great food, great service!

Yelp
The food was really good, the experience was great, but there were a few errors during our meal and it was very hot upstairs for our dinner. It is pricey so I would have expected really perfect service. However, the views are outstanding and the menu had a very good selection. I'm not positive I would go back, expect for a special occasion or only to see if the service improved.

Yelp
WOW! From the cuisines, to the staff, to the remarkable setting, Hazie's is a must for anyone spending time in Steamboat springs. The detail and level perfectionism apparent with each dish was nothing short of astounding. Our server was knowledgable, charming, and attentive. The food iteself was unique and prepared perfectly. I was in Steamboat for a week of skiiing and fun and Hazies was by far my favorite experience - dining or other.

Yelp
Best Sunday brunch ever and the top of the mountain views as well. Would do again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Try the infused vodkas. I had a cherry martini that I am still craving so much that I'll b getting another tomorrow and I am going to try and replicate it at home. The food is lovely. Even the French fries are a savory level above ur average French fry. Beret salad, potato leek soup, blue cheese burger, everything was a step above the ordinary and the staff are exceptional. I've been twice and intend to eat and drink here for lunch every day I ski u til I have to head home. I wish they served dinner. I'd expect some ridiculously delicious offerings.

Yelp
Would NOT recommend this restaurant. Period. We recently ate there for a family reunion of 25 people, we had made the reservation a couple months in advance, and also gave them the complete order of food from their set menu a month in advance - meaning they had a full MONTH to plan for us. The meal, app, entre and average desert was $70 per person - this was not a cheap meal. First, it was one of the few nights they opened the Gondola up to a happy hour at the top, we stood in line for almost an hour, in 90 heat, and come to find out, that that line was not for the restaurant - in other words, they did not tell anyone we could go to the front until we almost were there. The space is pretty much outdated, maybe 90's, but for a so called 'nice' restaurant at the top of a beautiful mountain, not good, oh, and it gets HOT in steamboat, which we were at the top floor, all glass and NO AC, they had to bring in a few portable AC units, that was great too Without going into too much detail, out of the 20 meals (the others were kids meals), 5 of them had to be sent back because they were either over cooked or under cooked, several more, including the dried over cooked duck that I got could have been sent back as well. One order of filet was twice the size of everyone elses, or everyone elses was half of what it should be. Some of the orders that were sent back, still came back under cooked (most fine restaurants keep lamb together when cooked and then slice right before serving, they (over) cooked each individual piece. Remember, we gave them a MONTH to plan this out, AND we were the ONLY people in the restaurant! Took a while and a manager finally came out, for a 'fine dining' restaurant, she had no clue about service, she was defensive and although tried to help, you can tell she was more annoyed than concerned. I tried to call a few days later to talk to her, but they never called back. I have a background in the food service industry, tried to give them the benefit, but this was simply bad all the way around. When you have that much time to prepare, there is no reason for such poorly executed food, and poorly executed service by the manager. To give something to compare too, we ate at Mambo's in town, it was AWESOME, service was the best we had ever seen for that large of a group, food was incredible - granted, it was not as complicated as what we had at Hazies, but it is not hard to cook lamb medium, or filet mid rare. If you want a GREAT place to eat at, go to Mambo's NOT Hazies, do the happy hour up there, but DO NOT EAT there!

Yelp
Had brunch here on fourth of july weekend. Its a bit spendy but you gotta take into consideration the 'experience'. I mean the views are basically out of a painting. When we went we had a reservation at 10am so we were able to sit on the deck. Thats the only way I would go. Our server was attentive and super friendly. Especially considering most resort town service usually is subpar from my experience. The food was pretty standard buffet I would say. The meat we had was pretty good though. Also great selection of cheeses! All in all something I would do again.

Yelp
It took a minute to get service (drink order), but the manager noticed and reminded the wait service. It was probably a fluke because After that, wait service was impeccable. I had the swordfish club. The bread was a little too buttery and overall it was delicious! My smokin hot girlfriend had the grilled cheese. I took a bite and loved it too. Portions were normal, scenery was perfect. With the dining on top of the mountain, there is a Great view of the town below. Prices were fair considering the location.

Nolan P.

Yelp
Not worth the view... I cannot disparage the view; it is very nice. However, the food and service are atrocious. The wait staff takes an inexplicable amount of time to bring each item (including drinks and even bread). I ordered their tomahawk ribeye, which the waitress forgot to write down properly, so I go a normal ribeye. Perhaps the waitress thought I said "give me the worst steak you got with as much fat and gristle you can. Oh, and please make it so rare that it is barely, edible." That is the steak I got. Seriously. The. Worst. F#$&ing. Steak. I. Have. Ever. Had! When I pointed this out to the manager, they offered me 20% off my dinner (only mine, not the rest of the table). If that meal represents 80% of their ability, then this place has really gone down hill (no pun intended). My family has been going to this restaurant for ten years. This will be the last.

Cute cozie bar at Thunderhead Lodge with great views down the mountain.Pricey as they have you over a barrel. But the views...

Yelp
I realize and appreciate that we visited Steamboat during the busiest week of the year. We always love sitting at Hazies, enjoying the most beautiful view on the mountain. This was no exception. 5 star views, but 1 star service at best. The staff all seem to have an attitude that they'd rather be anywhere but there-- I don't blame them, though, I'm sure the snow calls them! Anyway-- we made 1:15 reservations, finally seated at 2:00. They are usually out of several menu choices. We waited so long to place our order. Waited ages to receive our food-- extra ham was requested for the croque madam. The saddest looking Sandwich arrived with a n egg on top that had been fried hours before, the extra ham?-- it was just tossed on top of the whole plate! Kind of insulting, as there was an $8.00 extra charge. 20 minutes after ordering a bottle of wine, it came. If you make the mistake of showing up hungry on a busy day, just do the little buffet for $25 ($18, if you don't get the meat).

Yelp
It's pretty interesting to be at the top of the mountain and take the gondola up at night. The views are probably better still when there is some light out but it's definitely a different vibe to feel like you have the whole mountain to yourself. Ordered the bison carpaccio, lobster roll & tiramisu but had a taste of the duck wings, Hawaiian tuna poke, beef barley soup, Rocky Mountain Elk Strip Loin and chicken fingers. We also ordered the Aldersheim pinot noir (very smooth). Everything I had was delicious! There are also huge panoramic style windows to enjoy the view. Really cute - the oil for the bread actually had a cursive "H" drawn in there with balsamic vinegar. The bison was yummy and although the lobster roll was served a bit colder & with more veggies than I would like, it was solid. There was a decent amount of lobster in there. Tiramisu was served in a glass and disappeared pretty quickly. Never had duck wings served that way before and it was good. The tuna poke was delicious as well and vanished shortly after it was served - the "wontons" that accompanied it was quite good with just the right amount of crunch without feeling like you'd crack a tooth on it. Everything that was served with the elk dish including the elk was tasty - my only complaint is that it wasn't a bigger portion.

Yelp
We went up last night, very disappointed in the service, our server was a sweetheart she was just overwhelmed. The Manager walks around smiling and grinning, but he should of stepped up and helped his Servers, we will go again, for Lunch, Not Dinner.

Yelp
This place is a must for me every time I'm in Steamboat Springs. The view is amazing and the food is too. Last time I went, for an anniversary lunch, the service was a little slow in the beginning. But otherwise I've only had wonderful experiences here!

Yelp
We stopped here on a Bloody Mary adventure and happened to get a bowl of soup while there. We Sat at the bar. Best bar seat views around.. Bartender was friendly And made great drinks. Actually all the staff was nice...they ask where you are from ..And it seems we always find someone from the area or surrounding area. They give recommendations on what runs to go on according to level ...far more than bs chit chat. Any who...we only had a bowl of soup and bloody Mary. Bloody was great...bowl of soup was by far the best bowl of soup I have ever had. It was beef barley. And it tasted so good. It was a cream base but not heavy...it had a fresh vegetable taste...beef was flavorful and tender. Amazing. .can't wait to go back and try other items!

Yelp
Reservations definitely recommended! Pricey but great food and can't beat the views. Bloody Marys, butternut squash risotto, flank steak sandwich, curry chicken salad - all great!

Yelp
Hazies...A great location in Steamboat Springs. You can take the Gondola, where they give you a blanket to wrap yourself in, to the restaraunt. The staff is very pleasant, that is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. We sat at 6:25 p.m. We were given water and menus. At 6:40 p.m. we were asked if we would like drinks and ordered our appetizer and main entree. Hazies has a pre-fixed menu, soup of the day or choice of 2 salads (casear or house.) At 7:15 we were served our soup and salad. After waiting that long, you would expect that the soup would be hot, but it was tepid. We did not send it back because we had waited so long for it. We had to ask for refils of water and soda. My husband and I both had a soda, I asked for a refil and the server asked "for you to?" refering to my husband who had an empty glass for 10 minutes, too. At 8:20 p,m. we were served Bison New York Strip, Swordfish, and prawns. I would grade the Bison a B for flavor and texture (Bison is a leaner meat, but this was relatively tender compared to most restaraunts,) but was cold! We had been at Hazie's for so long, I didn't want to send it back. My husband sent his back and they new one they brought was hot, but he ordered mid-rare, and they bought bak mid-well. I tried my mom's prawns and they were great- cooked well. The server cleared the whole table, and then asked what we wanted for dessert, prolonging the agony of sitting there forever... At 8:50p.m. We ordered creme brulee and chocolate meringe cake with raisin ice cream. The creme brulee is okay, A little burnt on top. The chocolate cake had a "fishy" initial taste. Maybe it was stale... We finally left at 9:15. Overall, I would not consider going back to eat. The staff was pleasant and I wouldn't mind going to drink at the bar. The view is great!
