While the energy at Cocktail Fest was undeniably vibrant, the venue left something to be desired. The space felt more like a crowded gymnasium than a thoughtfully designed event setup. With so many people and vendors packed into one large room, it was difficult to move comfortably or fully enjoy the different cocktail stations. A bit more attention to layout, flow, and ambiance could have made a big difference.

Sharing some nighttime photos of this historic armory which dates back to 1900. The armory hosts punk rock flea markets several times a year, with great deals. Check out the artifacts inside their museum section. It's close to the 22nd street trolley stop off Market as well as the Fitler Club.

Google
Beer Fest Activities @ 23rd St Armory! There were about 20+ breweries participating! I had a VIP Early Access Ticket…it was great to get started with the sampling before it became crowded! I focused on breweries that I haven’t had previous tastes…sadly this is when I realized I have a ‘beer problem’..there may have been 2-3 only that I NEVER had and once I sampled them…I wish I hadn’t…Haahaa! My philosophy about breweries today is: If you brew beer - it doesn’t = good beer! It was a good time overall!

Punk rock flea market is a good place to buy art from artists reasonable prices. Other events are hosted here too pretty cold inside during the winter.

Went here for 2 days of 3 for punk rock flea market! It was so nice, everyone’s booth were so cool and the building was beautiful. With the bathrooms were more obvious but it was an amazing trip!

Yelp
The staff at the armory are great! Week in and week out, during the school year on Thursday evenings, they host Wharton first and second year students for a long held tradition called Pub! They typically provide beer, wine, and help coordinate food offering for several hundred students. The space is large enough for families, kids, and visiting friends from out of town, and it is great in the winter time when it's pretty cold outside. Very appreciative of the environment they create for the students. Would recommend this venue for any large organizational gatherings in the area!

Yelp
Nice venue but bar wait was way too long. Over 40 minutes just to grab a drink - which is just absurd.

Yelp
Just went here for the fall punk rock flea market. Pretty cool spot. I'd never been there before. Plenary of ventilation even on an 89 degree day. Bathrooms in the basement. Only issue is center city parking. Maybe the place has its own lot that I missed. All I saw were the $$$$ lots and 2 hour parking. Took me a while to find a space. I'd go to another event here. I'd take SEPTA. Sometimes I think people forget about SEPTA. It's the cheapest easiest way. Uber is double that and taco is triple that.

Yelp
An event destination for almost any occasion from precious to spacious (weddings - roller derby - raves). Unparalleled location. A unique find. Remodeled bathrooms on the ground floor (large event space) and second floor (intimate "museum" space). Formal dining room on 3.

Yelp
We were here for the bacon and beer festival. we decided to go VIP. for VIP they had a separate door entrance. You received a glass and a bag with with a tee-shirt and a half of pound of bacon. This was a very good event. The samples were all delicious. They had a good selection of beer. my favorite was the pineapple. yes I said pineapple. it was a refreshing beer. Overall visit was great. They had several parking lots nearby. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Very interesting venue. I came here to volunteer for a huge pet adoption fair - the goal? To adopt out a few hundred dogs and cats who needed furrrrrrrever homes. The main floor downstairs was cavernous, so that's where the dogs where. The cats were up a few stories high, so if you had mobility issues, using an elevator was a good idea (though at some events, usage of the elevator may be limited for security reasons). Most people had to climb up three or four floors. Bathrooms on the main floor where the offices were tucked away. Very clean and nice, though there was a line because there weren't very many of them. Interesting quasi military decorations such as flags, maps and medals. We took the PATCO in and walked over - it's a good 15-20 minute walk!

Yelp
While this review won't be helpful to the general public, but if it can impact anyone, it's worth it. I've been to the 23rd Street Armory twice now. It's a great space for an event. It's big and open. Food trucks can drive right in. While they have elevators, it's really not the most ADA friendly building. The elevators are in the front near the entrance but the restrooms are downstairs on the opposite side of the building. Downstairs the space in between the elevators and bathrooms are locked off so essentially making it impossible to get to the bathroom using the elevator. It's not a problem for most, but it's kind of a game changer if it affects you. I would not book an event here and will have to think through any future visits.

Yelp
my wife was here for an event - what a hidden treasure! vast, and in the heart of Philly! great food, great spaces, and parking. And it looks like a castle. Cool stuff inside. You can book this spot.

Yelp
I visited the 23rd street armory for the winter clover market today. It was a nice large venue that could hold any kind of event. I liked the architecture of the venue.

Yelp
Great place to get up-close-and-personal to your favorite (my favorite!) #1 in the Eastern Division Philly Roller Girls action. Although be careful because tickets sell out early (the space is limited, unlike when the girls skate in the Feasterville 'burbs)--as I sadly found out on my birthday this year. The time after that we bought in advance but sort of last minute, and ended up with VIP seats. They were still pretty cheap for a night out though (I think about 20 bucks each), and include a goodie bag and all the beer you can drink, delivered right to you by an off-duty skater. Gloria Grindem bringing you your frothy cold beer?! Life is good!

Yelp
Seriously, a better time you could not have. The Philly Roller Girls (The Liberty Belles, The Philthy Britches, The Broad Street Butchers, and the Heavy Metal Hookers) give it their all in a rolling, rollicking, counter-clockwise melee, versus mean teams from all over the great US of A and even Europe. Lascivious daughters and granddaughters to the great Philadelphia Warriors tradition, they rock-em and sock-em, and bring the crowd to their feet, roaring for more. Violent? Sure! But that's how we love it! OK, there's no blood (well, not much), and no broken bones (well, not many, anyway), but there IS, athleticism, teamwork, and fist pumping action. And beer, broads, and bruises. It's all in good clean fun, and it, for all the naughty names, slightly slutty uniforms and double-entendres from the announcers, Eddie Spaghetti and Gutterballz, is great family entertainment, and full of serious girl power. Go and prepare yourself for a great time!
