Yelp
This place is really good. It's definitely a must eat restaurant in London!! we came on a weeknight and still had to wait so I can't imagine the weight on the weekends. We got the chicken curry and the prawn curry, the samosas, and a side of rice to share

Yelp
THIS RESTAURANT MAY RUIN YOUR TRIP If you begin your culinary journey here, you may well find the rest of your holiday dining rather a let-down -- the food was nothing short of exquisite. I ordered a single sabji with a cheese naan and savoured every morsel as though it were my very first encounter with Indian cuisine. The experience was elevated by Jonathan, my waiter, who might just be the most charming and courteous gentleman I've ever met in a restaurant. He shared a bit of Dishoom's history, guided me through the menu with genuine enthusiasm, confirmed my dietary requirements, and made spot-on recommendations. He was endlessly attentive -- refilling my water without prompting, providing little sweets at the end, and offering mouth fresheners with the sort of grace one might expect from an old friend rather than a stranger. Whether this is standard Dishoom etiquette, a hallmark of Jonathan himself, or simply the British way of doing things, I couldn't say -- but it set the bar impossibly high for the rest of my trip.

Yelp
Came to the Shoreditch location since it was the only spot we could get a reservation and avoid long lines. The service is quick and the host and waitress were all very nice. I asked for the keychain which I received but we couldn't play the matka game that day. I ordered the ruby red chicken with naan and my sister ordered the paneer roll. The roll ended up being way too spicy. The winner dish were the okra fries. We enjoyed them so much! The place wasn't that packed because we had picked it for lunch so service was quick. I liked the Indian decorations and vibes. Although I would like to try more Dishoom locations in the future, I don't understand the hype of this chain of restaurants. The food is pretty average but the experience is what makes it worthwhile.

Yelp
I had made a reservation for 2:30-3:00 pm on a weekday. It was so busy when we got there but got seated immediately. I'm giving it 4 stars because the samosas tasted dry and the espresso martini was super small. My paneer kathi roll was good.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on Sunday, the place was bustling with people and activity. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Heard great things about their food and drinks, tried a few apps and mains. Our server was very helpful with recommendations. We tried bhel and lamp chops for apps, and black dal, lamb and chicken curry along with romali roti for mains. Lamp chops were great but everything else was just average and the flavors did not stand out. We finished it off with chocolate pudding. Overall a bit let down as the food did not hit the mark.

Yelp
All Hype, Minimal Wow - Just Okay Indian Food Tried this spot after hearing about it from pretty much everyone and seeing the long lines at every location around the city. Figured with that many people waiting, it had to be something special... but honestly? It was just okay. I ordered the Chicken Ruby, supposedly one of their signature dishes and while it wasn't bad, it didn't blow me away either. The sauce was rich but a bit one-note, and the chicken itself was tender but not super flavorful. It tasted fine, but lacked that depth and spice you expect from a truly great Indian curry. The portion size was decent, and everything was presented well, but for the wait and the hype? Definitely underwhelming. It feels more like a trendy chain than a place focused on nailing the food. With so many locations and such a huge following, it's clearly doing something right just not enough to make me want to rush back. If convenience and consistency are what you're after, it'll do. But if you're looking for standout Indian cuisine, keep exploring.

Yelp
After seeing the menu online state that lunch was also served throughout the day, I went in during brunch. Unfortunately the item I wanted to eat was unavailable because it was brunch and only available at lunch. It makes no sense. If you are going to advertise that your food is available at all hours then make it available! I was told because of halal but it shouldn't matter. Regardless I will never come back here.

Yelp
Absolutely exquisite meal. Cheerful service. They had such fun explaining their favorites and helping us decipher the menu. I have never been to India - and maybe this is an average reflection of great Indian food. To that, I cannot attest. However, to me, Dishoom is the result of traditional Indian cuisine, paired with extensive culinary knowledge and creative pairings of all things texture, taste, depth, and color. A true culinary adventure in a beautiful space! PRO TIP: the chai tea is free refills! What a delight it was to learn that!

Yelp
Went twice, one for dinner and once for breakfast. Both were amazing, but the breakfast blew me away. For dinner, the daal was creamy and the broccoli salad was light and refreshing. For breakfast, the porridge was flavored perfectly and the wrestler's naan was a great combo of eggs, sausage, and bacon. It was very busy both times but we were seated immediately for breakfast (Friday 10 AM) and within 15 minutes for dinner (Monday 9 PM). Servers were friendly and the decide was cool.

Yelp
During my weeklong visit to London I had 2 Dishoom experiences, dinner and breakfast. Both were absolutely wonderful. Dishoom is a beautiful space, inside and outside (I want to return when it's warmer to experience the outside) and so far I've sat in the bar area which is very chic and in part of the dining room near windows in booths. The booths are huge and I have been tempted to sleep there after eating all the things. For dinner, my party shared several things, which is customary. I enjoyed everything we had, but suggest people check out the menu and choose what's right for them - my party had a pescatarian and our menu skewed that way. All of the food was amazing, there were no survivors, lol. I also had a delicious lassi to accompany my meal. Another day we returned for breakfast. I ordered the pancakes, sausages, and the breakfast lassi. When the pancakes showed up, I looked at them dubiously, just knowing they wouldn't get me full. And yet, they did. Order them, I enjoyed them very much, as well as the lassi. It's different in a good way. Service has been impeccable. Highly recommend. Hope to return soon.

Yelp
Good Indian cuisine. Was very delicious. Very friendly and courteous staff. Will definitely come back on next trip to London.

Yelp
I have a complicated relationship with Dishoom. On one hand, the food is consistently good, service is fast, and I want to come every time to get that chicken ruby. The black daal is (tragic to admit) spicy for me but it's so good. The drinks are excellent. The paneer is tasty. On the other, since I don't live in the UK, every time I have come to Dishoom over the years it seems to get more expensive for the exact same quality and smaller size. I paid the equivalent of $45 USD for my chicken ruby and black daal + a rice, and while I don't regret it, it's hard to say it's a good value experience. I'll definitely continue to come back because the food continues to be good - but won't stop me from exploring around some other options next time too.

Yelp
We did not have reservations, there was quite a bit of a wait. However, you move through the line and then they take you into the bar area where you can sit with your friends. Have a few drinks while you wait. Then you are moved to your table. The menu has something for everyone. We got a main meal as an appetizer since we had like six of us. It was more of a vegetarian dish with some naan and it was very good. The boys absolutely loved the chicken Ruby! But I think the monkfish was the winner. I absolutely loved it. I was the only person that was able to finish it. And let me tell you by the time you get over halfway through that heat continues to build, but it is absolutely delicious. It's just you sweating and determined to finish it off lol. Super cool on the inside! You would never think you are in a place that is actually a small chain. We had a small issue with the waitress, but overall, it was a great experience and I would go back in a heartbeat! We had an interim server that was fantastic! The food was absolutely legit. I do not remember the name of the dish my buddy got, it was very rice heavy with chicken. Overall, the least dish of the group, although he said it was good. He did have buyers remorse after he tried the different dishes that we got.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Dishoom. I spent a long weekend in London and visited twice, it was SO good. I didn't get any pics from my first trip, where I had the Butter Chicken (outstanding) and the Chicken Berry Britannia (good but dry). Second visit I had the lamb chops and black daal, both were delicious. This is a must have when in London. Be prepared for a little wait but great service.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this restaurant was a disappointment for us. I added Dishoom to our list of restaurants to check out while in London after I came across the fact that it had so many good reviews (across multiple locations). It is definitely a vibe; highly recommend making a reservation if you want to get in timely. We had gone on weekday evening around 6pm and it was busy; walk-ins were given an estimate of about 1 hour for a table. We were seated about 15-20ish minutes after our reservation time. My husband and I were dining, and we ended up getting the pau bhaji, makhmali paneer, chicken ruby, and a roomali roti. As someone who has had a lot of pau bhaji at different restaurants, this variation wasn't my favorite. It had a very strong amount of spice but it was somehow bland. It needed something more, including butter. The paneer was nice and soft but the sauce they had drizzled over tasted more like a pesto. The ruby chicken was very tender, not too spicy, a nice change given how spicy the pau bhaji was. The curry was thick and creamy, and the roomali roti was pretty good. Service was okay, they didn't have any chai when we ordered it but they brought it out to us later when it was ready. Overall, I think maybe my expectations were too high going into it.

Yelp
At least five of my friends recommended dining at Dishoom in London, so I made a reservation for the Shoreditch location the week before my trip. Since I visited around the holidays, I reserved the Winter Feast meal, which included a 3-course prix fixe menu. The first course included: new keema pau (similar to a lamb "sloppy joe"), okra fries, and bhel (puffed rice dish). Everything was excellent - I especially loved the festive touches of pomegranate that topped the bhel puri. The second course included: sheekh kabab, paneer curry, biryani, black daal, fresh vegetables, raita, and naan. Everything was superb; however, the meat dishes were quite heavy, and we couldn't finish everything (as hard as we tried). The standout for me was the paneer - I sopped up every ounce of sauce with the naan. For dessert, we had a choice among three flavors of kulfi pops, which were a sweet and refreshing way to end the meal. The food and service was overall excellent, although the restaurant itself was too dark and noisy to have a conversation with the people at my table. The food was worth a second visit, and perhaps we'd try another one of Dishoom's locations.

Yelp
I was super excited to try Dishoom, as Indian is one of my favorite cuisines and it came recommended by a few colleagues. Waited in line against my better judgment for a little over an hour on a Monday evening in September. Staff did greet us fairly quickly (I was a party of one but speaking for those in line near me, too) and they were diligent in providing a nice cup of hot masala chai or mint tea. Once my name was called, I was ushered into the bar to wait...some more. It's a very lively spot, and would be a nice spot to hang at the bar. I ordered a cocktail and the bartender was really lovely and engaging, and the dill gin cocktail I had was nice and refreshing. The cocktail menu looked super creative but by this point I was starving. Ordered the Fried Okra which was really nice. Shared them with others at the bar as it was sizable portion. Once I was directed to my table, service was curt and not very attentive (even for London standards). I was considering ordering a glass of wine but my server never came back after I ordered my food (about 30 seconds after I sat down) except once I finally was able to flag her down to settle the bill. I ordered the Black Daal (one of my favorite dishes and highly recommended as their specialty) alongside basmati rice and garlic naan. The food was fine: nothing to wait in line for at all. It's essentially Indian food for white people, and disappointing compared to other Indian I've had around town. When I discuss Dishoom with my Indian friends, they agree it is overhyped. If there weren't a crazy line, I'd love to go back for a few cocktails and appetizers but I wouldn't wait for over an hour for the opportunity. Too many excellent cocktail spots in London. Definitely a hype machine made famous by social media and folks who want Indian-light when it comes to spice and spicy.

Yelp
Delicious food. Friendly service. A little louder than I would have liked. But other than that, it was one of the best desi restaurants I have ever been to. I plan on going again next time I am in London.

Yelp
Dishoom is a must stop if you're visiting London. Their menu is loaded to the brim with various selections and it is recommended that your group share a few dishes. Unfortunately, dishoom does not have a full service menu at the bar, so make sure to put your name on the list. I was able to enjoy their chicken Ruby, which is one of their signature dishes. I also paired the entree with garlic naan. You have to order the naan separate here! The dish was perfect for one person, although I probably could've eaten a second one. Who's to judge (haha). What I enjoyed the most about this restaurant was the atmosphere- they were burning incense and you also got to take a look in to the kitchen (if you go downstairs)

Yelp
There isn't much I can add about Dishoom that hasn't already been said. As a huge fan of Indian food, I can honestly say I haven't had better. The food was exceptional--aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant.

Yelp
I've been to dishoom a few times but never the shoreditch location. The shoreditch prawns are a must have! so yummy. Service was a bit slow- but it was pretty busy on a Friday. I would give 5 stars because you can blindly pick anything on the menu and it'll be really good. But service was slow and it was unbelievable hot in there. I couldn't wait to leave and get fresh air.
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
Dishoom did not disappoint. From the atmosphere to the food and service, this place lived up to its hype. Don't forget to get the grilled paneer, chicken tikka and garlic naan! Will definitely come back when we return to London.
google avatar

Yelp
When I was in London, many local and foreign friends recommended Dishoom as a must-try for Indian cuisine. I went to the CBD location near Liverpool station around 8 pm and waited over 30 minutes because it was so busy. The receptionist didn't communicate clearly, but once we sat down, the service improved. The food was very tasty and authentic. However, my stomach didn't handle it well the next day...
google avatar

Johnny G.

Yelp
I know it is not authentic Indian food but this place is literally perfection. Top notch service, well curated drinks, great food and good for every type of occasion. The Ruby chicken will forever be my favorite, it is basically their take on tikka masala. So rich and creamy pairs beautifully with the rice and naan. It was my first time having their samosas, not traditional it's presented in smaller phyllo triangle shape. Still very good and flavorful. 3 was definitely a smaller app, I could eat 10 of those. My waitress was phenomenal she got me in and out. They don't do reservations so expect to wait a bit. Best to do an early or late dinner. This is ultimately my petition to get Dishoom to NYC!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome food and service. Went there based on recommendation from a colleague and my family and I loved it.
google avatar

Yelp
Dishoom has at least 5 locations in London, so I have no idea why all of them have crazy wait times. If you must eat here, booking a reservation is the way to go to save time. We went here for breakfast. The house chai and bacon and egg naan were decent but also forgettable. Indian food is usually very flavorful but this place leaned towards bland. Service is also just okay. Honestly, I expected more from Indian cuisine in London. This place must be a tourist trap from all the hype.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
Modern Indian cuisine in London, what a treat. You can get Indian food anywhere in the city, but I wanted to try "the best." Dishoom lives up to its hype by somehow being cozy and elevated. Foods that don't feel indulgent, everything was flavorful and the perfect mix of flavors. Service had nothing that was lacking. For my first time, I relied on the recommendations of the server to pick out my meal, very easy. I'm so glad we came and would recommend anyone to try it out.
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
Came by for breakfast and it was a world class experience. Made a reservation via Google/SevenRooms and my table was ready upon arrival. Dishoom is located in Shoreditch and the 26 bus stops across the street from the restaurant. Entrance is on the other side of the road. Dining js available indoors or in the heated and covered patio. Started off with the chai and it was flavorful, strong, with a hint of spice. Moved on to the sausage and egg Naan for breakfast and it was tasty. The naan was light and fluffy while the sausage was cooked to perfection and the egg was slightly runny. Service throughout the meal was cordial and helpful

Yelp
Read lots of great reviews on this chain of Indian restaurants. We were starving at 9pm and Dishoom was open til 11:00pm. A quick U we ride to the location in ShoreDitch and a short 10 minute wait at the bar.... Brought us to a nice table. Tip: if you get drinks at the bar they just add them to your dinner tab. Food: portions were perfect for 2 people. We ordered lots of things: vegetable samosas, chilli chicken, masala prawns, garlic and cheese naan, chicken ruby(butter chicken) and a hefty portion of rice. Service was great! Servers were running all Over the place. It was busy at 10:00pm. Although tipping is not expected in London, the restaurant does add a service charge on your bill so just be aware.
google avatar

Sunil R.

Yelp
I have been obsessed with Dishoom ever since I ate them for the first time years ago. It's super popular and everyone I talk to whether they are from here or visiting London seem to know it. Also evidenced by the fact that there was a 1 hour wait to get a table. They serve you chai and lemonade while you are in line which makes up for the wait...a little. The wait was 30 minutes in line and then got seated at the bar and another 30 minutes there before getting a table. Super good service, ambiance, and the food is delectable. I don't wait for an hour at any restaurant except for this one.
google avatar

Dave U.

Yelp
Food: excellent and well seasoned. We ordered a large variety. Started with their garlic and cheese naan. Also got Vegetable samosas. Also had their grilled shrimp and chicken dishes ( similar butter chicken) and chili chicken. All very tasty. Price was matching their portion size. Staff: everyone was quick to help and provide refills on drinks. Ambiance: this location was very popular. We only waited about 10 minutes at the bar. We arrived around 9:00pm.

Yelp
What an absolutely lovely experience this was. We were recommended Dishoom by several friends and we weren't disappointed in the slightest. The atmosphere and food were unmatched, and we couldn't have been happier with everything we tried. We shared all of the dishes we ordered, including the monkfish, chicken Ruby, chilli chicken, and okra fries, and of course we had to get a side of the garlic naan. The chocolate chai was something I hadn't seen offered on a menu before, but as a big fan of dark chocolate I had to try it. It was tremendous. We will be back as soon as possible to try more.

Yelp
Fantastic. I understood from the first bite why everyone who has spent any amount of time in London recommends this place. Breakfast here alone was worth the airfare from NYC. We basically opened the place up for breakfast. We came directly from LHR airport, luggage in tow, before even checking in to the hotel. Absolutely starving. The Wrestler's Naan was exquisite--saucy and creamy yet smoky and packed with meats. It has had my taste buds in a chokehold since. I *literally* needed to remind myself to breathe halfway through. And if I had asphyxiated between bites, I assure you that I would have died happy. The Big Bombay was also phenomenal. A fun and flavorful spin on the English breakfast. As an American, I did not understood the English breakfast until devouring this version. Each individual component was excellent but it all came together like, I don't know, One Direction? And I'd be hard-pressed to pick a Harry Styles. Bite to bite, I'd be convinced it was sausage one moment, eggs the next, and in another, the BEANS. I've always been perplexed by the inclusion of baked beans on a breakfast platter but here--perhaps because they were some of the best baked beans I have ever had--it finally made sense. Thank you, Dishoom, for opening my eyes (via my taste buds) and teaching me to appreciate British culture. And thank you to literally all of my friends who recommended Dishoom to me. I can only hope this review does the same and encourages you, the reader, to partake in this delightful, British patriotism inducing breakfast.

Yelp
I had to go to Dishoom after hearing so much about it. We decided to go for breakfast since they don't take reservations and I hate waiting . It was a fun way to start the day and the food and atmosphere were both really good. I had a couple of fried eggs with cilantro on cheesy toast (Kejtiwal )and a side of bacon. I didn't want to eat all day after that. The people next to us had big, puffy poori that looked delicious. Very attractive and fun place. Waiter was good. I'd say go!

Yelp
Everytime I come to London , I make it a point to try to come here . We came on Thursday night ( just like in nyc , Thursday is the new Friday with the new wfh on Friday culture ) and hence expected ( and we did ) to wait for 45 minutes . It was well worth it as it felt like it went by quickly . Every so often , a staff came by asking for drink orders and offered some chai for those who didn't order/ were waiting . Once you enter the restaurant the the line outside is the bar ( where the wait continues) but you can order from the appetizer and small plates menu selection , we got the lamb samosas and okra fries. My friend told me that these are with phyllo dough ( vs the thicker one I'm accustomed to in the USA - Hindi vs Punjabi style - both delicious in my opinion ). The small plates didn't stop us from ordering a lot more food once seated. We had the chicken tikka , grilled chops ( cooked and seasoned perfectly ), butter naan , potatoes, chicken curry and the biryani ( flavorful )rice for starters and main and finished the meal with the ice cream ( milk and mango ). Service my Constantine was the best ! He's friendly , attentive and had a good attitude overall . Other staff also stopped by to check up on us ( customer service is on point ). I'm not surprises why this place do very well- from service , ambiance , and the food ( it has everything for everyone ). If you want food that well seasoned and cooked properly that's reasonably priced , highly recommend

Yelp
I came with some coworkers for lunch, and they recommended a few different dishes for us to try. I liked the atmosphere, the food, and also the Indian soda (Thums Up)!

Yelp
This place deserves all the hype it gets. It was quite crowded on a Sunday afternoon which created some confusion with tables and orders but the staff was super accommodating and the food was delicious.

Yelp
It's good, not great indian food. The ruby chicken curry is their best dish (basically butter chicken, slightly spicier). This is a good place to take a tourist (especially with their bottomless house chai), but it feels silly to come here often for good indian food when brick lane is right there. People love the black daal & lamb chops, but I don't get it. Neither were special. The veranda is very beautiful to sit in though!

Yelp
I've been in London now for four days and this was by far my favorite meal. I didn't catch my server's name (the lady with the snake tattoo on her arm ) but she was great. She gave me great recommendations and patiently guided me through the menu. I don't go out for Indian food very often and many of the items on their menu were different than what I've seen at Indian restaurants in California. The chicken ruby was sooooo good! Thank Dishoom for the great food and experience!

Yelp
Everyone said that when we were in London we had to go to Dishoom, so obviously we went to Dishoom. But only one person told me about breakfast!! Game changer. Loved the naan roll, and the keema per eedi was also delicious.

Yelp
Went here while on a work trip. Solo mission. Wait time: long - but they serve drinks & free tea =] Service: Super friendly Drinks: Got the 1948 Sour - loved it Food: Hella good

Yelp
Indian food in London is on another level and Dishoom is a must try. I dined here for dinner and arrived without a reservation. There was a long line but it moved quickly and the staff was so sweet and passed out chai teas for everybody waiting. It's definitely a well oiled machine here and we loved that every touchpoint felt so thoughtful. We ordered the chilli cheese toast, house chaat, chicken biryani, and spicy lamb chops. And because I had tried the chai tea in line, I ended up ordering more chai tea for my meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and I especially loved the house chaat and chilli cheese toast. Definitely need to come back in the future and try more dishes! It was definitely a highlight meal during our London trip.

Yelp
I visit London a few times a year and this is ALWAYS a must every trip. The food: I have never had a dish I don't like. The depth of flavor in every dish is phenomenally crafted. We always order a bunch of plates for the table to share. Highly recommend: the lamb, the roasted chicken, broccoli salad, a curry of choice, dal. Drinks: they have such a large variety and they are all well crafted and balanced, we have had such a wide range and loved them all. Service: takes the cake for service in London. We had to queue last week as we did not have a reservation. Waited about 20 minutes and they brought umbrellas for everyone as there was a link sprinkle and even passed out multiple rounds of drinks including wine, lemonade, and chai. Without fail this is a must try if you're in town.

Yelp
This place is the real deal! When I saw their location in Covent Garden, I first thought this restaurant was a tourist trap, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The food is fantastic. The Shoreditch location is really special, with beautifully designed decor and a feel that reminds me so much of my time in India! Everything is delicious but some of my favorites were the daal (this is a must get!) , the chicken tikka roll, and the milk punch! And definitely try the sauces on the side :) I'd recommend getting a reservation or arriving around 4pm so there's no wait! The wait times can get very long here.

Alistair G.

Yelp
We arrived a bit late for our reseervation, I called and left a message that we would be late. When we arrived the lady at the front desk greeted us with 'if you're late again just so you know we won't hold your table.' No hello, welcome. I told her I called and left a message, She said 'I don't care, that doesn't matter.' She was incredibly rude and ruined our evening. The food nor drinks were anying special, there are much better Indian restaurants in London with nicer staff so skip Dishoom.

Yelp
This restaurant was one of my favorites while visiting London! The food was super flavorful and delicious and there were so many options to choose from! I did not get the chance to take photos of the Chais, but I got the house chai and the chocolate chai which were bottomless. I liked the house chai better but LOVED both! Our server was really nice and gave us incredible recommendations! On top of everything, the patio was very comfortable and we loved the atmosphere at this restaurant. Overall great experience and I highly recommend paying a visit!

I've been to Dishoom twice now, this time as a solo diner. The first time I absolutely loved everything I ordered, from the cocktails to each dish. This time I was definitely less wowed even though I tried some new things. The house chaat and vegetable samosas were alright, but the chicken ruby was quite nice. Last time I came I remember really enjoying the cocktails as well as the chili chicken and gunpowder potatoes.

Yelp
Best meal we had in London! Seven at our table -- we ordered just about everything to share!!! Stunningly good. Among the favorites were the samosas, Black Dal and Chicken Tikka.

Yelp
Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch as a walk-in and waited about 25-30mins for a table. Ordered the house black daal, chicken berry biriyani, chicken ruby & roomali roti which i think was perfect for 2 starving foodies. House black daal-5/5 Was a little confused why this was so revered but i definutely get it now. SUPER creamy & flavorful- although this is a poor comparison it gave cheesy chilli vibes. Absolutely delicious especially with some bread. I feel like on its own its so rich its hard to eat on its own as a side. Chicken biriyani 2.5/5 By no means bad but definitely the weakest of the dishes. It was a good base to have with the daal & chicken ruby sauce because on its own it felt bland & dry. Again nothing wrong but ive definitely had a lot beyger biriyani. Chicken ruby 4/5 People compare it to a chicken tikka masala and i guess it is similar in the most broadest sense- but flavor-wise the ruby i think is far more interesting. Not as creamy and tasted almost fruity? Not spicy heat-wise but definitely spiced. Chicken itself was also super tender Roomali Roti 2/5 Honestly I think this is my fault for not knowing what to expect more than anything. I was expecting something slightly cripsy like a dosa or flakey like a roti canai but it was closer to a thin flour tortilla so it just felt to out of place to me. I also only had with the daal but its so thin it just didn't hold up to densely flavored daal. Definitely not bad but it made me regret not getting the garlic naan :c Overall a great meal to start my trip. Would definitely recommend getting the house daal if you go. And considering there are so many locations throughout london definitely think its worth a stop by if you get a chance.
