Yelp
Yes!! The chicken noodle soup was so good. I wish I bought a piece of smoked salmon to try. Can't wait to go back. My new favorite lunch spot!

Yelp
It's a cute little place with decent service. I found the pancakes to just be okay unfortunately. I had one blueberry and one bacon while my partner had the regular pancakes and honestly those were better. Worth a try to form your own opinion though!

Yelp
Decided to try this place out for breakfast. Parking is easy, but you got a pay a meter or the lot. The service was friendly and welcoming. You know it's gotta be good because the cops came in for breakfast. The place is laid back and easy at least from our experience. We enjoyed the food! Pancakes were filling, potatoes and eggs were good and bacon fully cooked. I also enjoyed the coffee

Yelp
such a cute deli+restaurant! they have a ton of options for breakfast. i opted for a more classic plate with eggs and potatoes and sausage and fruits! not to mention the mimosa~ i thought the star of the show was the sausage. its gonna sound crazy but that was the best smoked sausage i ever had!! the lady recommended it to me and she was right. delish. the shop is cute and theres outdoor seating. i think they're dog-friendly if u sit outside! a cute brunch spot near santa monica beach :)

Yelp
Their Ashley's Wrap is a must try! If you like smoked salmon and like it a bit spicy, I recommend it. You can always ask hot sauce on the side or less in the wrap. The Riviera Hot Sandwich wish grilled Chicken was also great, it was a big sandwich that my mom took the 2nd half home. You can order inside or take it to go! There is indoor limited seating or outside. I was asked to go pay inside after eating outside. Staff is friendly but I think understaffed when I went. Metered parking all around available.

Yelp
Good soup! I wanted to like this place as I liked the casual vibe and old school deli feel. I think I just ordered the wrong sandwich which was the Vege Clevelander. Way too salty, pretty much inedible.

Yelp
Came in for breakfast, family of six, and seating is outdoor. It was a very nice day, perfect for outdoor dining. The place has a small EU store attached. Very interesting. It also has a cheese and sausage section. EU products. I ordered the pesto basil pancake topped with two eggs and a side of spicy sausage. Yummilicious! The pancake was fluffy and light just the way I prefer it. The hubby had cinnamon raisin pancakes and that was exquisite as well. Daughter had the salmon pancake and that was delicious as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Has our usual photo session and they obliged us with their photography skills. Lol Overall it's a great breakfast place in Santa Monica. After the meal, we all went for a walk by the beach!

Yelp
The pancakes are very unremarkable, even with the bacon. They served it with fake pancake syrup which made it taste even worse. If they used real maple syrup, it would have been slightly better. The pancakes just tasted very card board-y and dry like they used paper dust for flour. The price is also a major rip off for 3. We also got the smoked salmon salad. That was amazing and super healthy. The smoked salmon is the best I've ever had. Stick to the salmon and order bacon on the side. My fried egg was cooked very well, too, perfect over medium with the edges crispy. Skip the pancakes!! Total blegh. We sat outside with dogs and a lady came out and offered all the dogs chicken from their kitchen. It was a sweet gesture! They are definitely dog friendly.

Yelp
Amazing selection of European delicacies and condiments. A lot of German, Scandinavian and Dutch products. Love it.

Yelp
I'm not even a pancake person and I LOVED Shoop's!! The blueberry pancakes were soft and fluffy, and they certainly did not skimp on the blueberries. The salmon pancakes were unique and the mustard dill sauce really tied it all together. Good portion of salmon too, which was cooked perfectly. The batter for both tasted light and fresh, and it was more than easy to clean off our plates. Casual vibes, store was seemed very well-kept, and service was kind. Would love to try other menu items next time!

Yelp
Shoop's is a European market and cafe that serve breakfast all day plus brunch and sandwiches, they're located a few blocks from the beach in Santa Monica, there is meter parking in the front but limited, but the rear has a ton of meter parking also you can enter from the rear...OK but to the review. The menu is HUGE not kidding with so many delicious to chooe from, there are about 6 table setting inside and about 15 to 20 outside with umbrella's. Our waitress was very friendly plus helpful taking our order's which was the over size pineapple pancakes, the were cooked inside the fluffy and sweet pancakes that needed no syrup, "mouthgasm" scrambled eggs and trukey sausages, plus the mash yams they had a yummy taste to them, scrambled eggs, potatoes was crispy and very good too, a side order of avacado. We even got the chance to sample some smoked salmon that was definitely two thumbs up.

Yelp
Great German deli AND place for brunch! This is the place to pick up European bouillon, German mustard, packages of leek soup, Fa soap products (the best), and of course, German beer. Service is warm and friendly. Ambiance is cozy deli. The menu is a cross between classic American diner and European menu items (think muesli pancakes, which were delicious.) The coffee is strong. And there are good options for the vegan in the group. Indoor and outdoor dining is available. Street parking (meter or free during the day one street east.)

Yelp
What's not to love when it comes to Shoops! This has been my go to breakfast spot when in Santa Monica. Located right off of main st, this European market and cafe whips up some of the best breakfast that'll have you running back! Highly recommend the pancakes. I've tried the blueberry and buttermilk. If you're a fan of fluffy cakes with crisp edges, this is the spot for you! Let's not forget the smoked salmon. My GOD! They gave me a bite sized sample of their freshly made salmon and I immediately ordered two. Check it out if you're in the area! Outdoor and indoor seating, fast service, reasonable prices, and many options on the menu to choose from!

Yelp
That savory salmon pancake was life changing. Never had anything like it! The outdoor seating was nice as well. I would definitely come back to try other salmon dishes.

Yelp
Does anyone know if they carry Stratos chocolate or Norwegian potato chips? I have been searching LA area and it seems they are the closest thing to a Scandinavian store

Yelp
Standing g at the counter waiting for my to-go order and I noticed several slabs of smoked bacon on top the counter. They were just waiting to be sliced. Ugh. Looked fantastic! I asked if I could take a picture and when I recognized it was Matt the owner, I acknowledged him and that's when he offered me several chucks of smoked salmon which were incredible! I took my salmon and egg wrap to go, with a few other places to see in a few short hours. My wrap was fantastic I will be back for a cup of coffee and a meal in the future. This needs to be on your stop!

Yelp
Service was great and staff was nice. They also have a great little market with assorted items. I had The Nellish, an open faced smoked salmon sandwich. The dressing that was drizzled on top was very good, like a sweet tangy flavor sprinkled with dill. Definitely coming back! Indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
I've been here several times after constantly seeing it on Google Maps and being intrigued. It's very no-frills - there's limited indoor seating, a bunch of outdoor seating, and you'll often have to wait in line to be seated, because it's a very popular brunch spot!! I highly recommend the bacon or banana pancakes -- they're both great. I also enjoyed the pancake and breakfast combos. Well worth the money! Inside, there's a very cool market with European goods. There's a pay-to-park lot behind the spot.

Yelp
TLDR; Great food, Worst experience with Jeanie. We came here with excited anticipation after our foodie friend had given us a glowing recommendation of this place. Our friend wasn't wrong about the food - it was generous, and the smoked salmon was special. But the unwelcome attitude from a negligent staff member, Jeannie (Jeanie? Not sure spelling). She's the staff member who wears a green baseball cap. As it was our 1st time here, we weren't too clear on the process of ordering. It looked like there were tables outside, and a line at the register. Since we came in through the back, we thought naturally we were supposed to get in line. I see a table outside being cleared by Jeanie, so I go up and ask her: "Hi! Will this table be open?" She looks up at me with a condescending smile, and asks me in a tone very similar to the look she gives me: "Did you put your name down?" I tell her no, and apologize since it was my first time there. I then ask her where I can put my name down, and if the line at the front was it. She proceeds to give me very ambiguous answers, cheekily telling me that there's a "girl walking around with a clip board", and that this is "table service" so I can't just grab a table. Also, she tells me that the "girl's name is Avery." How should I know who Avery is? Also, I was by no means aggressively trying to "grab a table"; I was merely trying to get the proper instructions on how to even order. She continues to not be helpful, as if delighting in my confusion, a smirk perpetually on her face. I go back to my boyfriend, who was waiting in the line at the counter. It turns out to be the line for takeout. Jeanie then walks up to our line with a clipboard and starts taking names down. When she gets to us, she once again, clarifies that it is table service (not sure where this unwarranted condescension is coming from. We literally were as polite as can be) and asks us if we want to sit outside. We say yes, we do. After putting our names down, my boyfriend asks her where we should wait for our names to be called. She gestures vaguely outside. He then asks her who will be calling our names. We're so confused at this point bc there seemed to be no structure to this process, so we just wanted to make sure we didn't miss our names being called. The conversation goes somewhat like this: My BF: Will you be here calling our names when our table is ready? Jeannie: Me? Will *I* be here? What do you mean??? (very sarcastic talk-back like attitude, emphasis on "I") My BF: Yes. Or someone else. We're not sure where we should be waiting or who to look for. Jeannie: We'll be here ALLLLLL day. (again, dripping with sarcasm, not answering our question at all, but at this point we are so put off by her attitude that we don't want to continue talking to her) Our table is called very quickly. Our food arrives pretty quickly too. We ordered the Salmon Scramble and the Salmon Egg Wrap. Portions were great, price was on the more expensive side. The other servers constantly forgot to give us water, which would normally be understandable as things get busy, but we were already so miffed by our interaction with Jeannie that it was just fuel to the fire. During the whole meal, we were just talking about how unwarranted Jeanie's condescension and sarcasm was. It honestly spoiled the meal for us. She was the first person we talked to when entering, and that first impression matters a lot. I'm honestly appalled at her unprofessionalism. I really wanted to like this place. It's not everyday you find a cool deli that specializes in smoked salmon. If it weren't for Jeanie, we probably would've had a great time here. Cashier lady was nice though. She was lovely. Paid parking lot in the back.

Yelp
I love this restaurant and store! It is the BEST Scandinavian and german hidden gem I've ever been to. The service here is also magnificent! The guy in the meat area in front is super friendly, sweet and approachable, he greeted us with a warm friendly happy smile. Service is definitely great. It is short walking distance to the beach and to the Santa Monica pier (might take 15 minute walk if I'm not mistaken going to Santa Monica pier, not bad at all) The food is also AMAZING! We tried the smoked salmon and that one was sooo good! We came back the next day for breakfast cause we couldn't wait to come back and try more. We tried their breakfast bacon and egg sandwich, that one was good especially with the side of potatoes. The best one is the salmon with spinach salad, SUPER GOOD! Their salmon menu is the highlight here, try that and don't pass! Their little shopping area to the right is so nice! They have authentic Scandinavian, German & a bunch of European snacks you can't find anywhere else. We loved it here so much! We had a great time!

Yelp
What a grape find on Santa Monica Main Street! They have a café, as well as a butcher to take foods to go. They grocery selection is fantastic, so many European goodies that are hard to find elsewhere. They have a nice beer and wine selection as well. The prices on the food and snacks are fair, considering how hard they are to source here.service was friendly and fast, excellent option if you are looking for something specific from out of country.

Yelp
We enjoyed a late breakfast with a good variety of choices on the menu. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. I had eggs, chicken sausage, with potatoes and fruit. My wife had eggs and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were large and have a large number of blueberries. The chicken sausage was a bit spicy, which gave it a good flavor. I wish there was a bit more fruit but the breakfast was quite tasty and satisfying. The prices were reasonable, and we will be back when we are in the area.

Yelp
Shoop's knows how to do breakfast and brunch. Eggs cooked to perfection. Fluffy, fresh and delicious. Pancakes that are crispy on the outside and soft, doughy on the inside. And of course, their renowned smoked salmon. They'll give you plentiful portions of fresh, flaky, and smokey fish if you get either the salmon scramble, wrap, or pancakes. So bomb. Shoops gets busy on weekends, as do most brunch spots on popular streets. But eating here is worth the wait. And the staff is warm, welcoming, and swift with their service. Limited seating inside so you'll likely have to sit outside on the weekend. Some might mind, but I don't. Bonus that the inside is a charming little German market!

Yelp
Hubby and I have been to this location several times to dine at Thai Vegan and Dolcenero Gelato (both of which I highly recommend) and were happy to finally pay a visit to Shoops. The place was popping but it was easy enough to get a table outside. Orange Juice - 1/5 Supposedly fresh squeezed but didn't taste like it. For $6, this was disappointing. Danny's Wrap - 3/5 Hubby ordered this one and enjoyed it. Of the few bites I took, it had an overwhelming taste of spinach and not much else. The tiny fruit cup it was served with was laughable. Pineapple Pancakes - 4/5 I'm not a huge pancake fan but the reviews and pictures sold me on ordering one. I'm glad I did. I was disappointed that they used canned pineapples (at least it tasted that way) but still enjoyed everything. Loved the crispy edges. I added eggs and sausage to complement the carbs and they were perfect. Service - 3/5 Really bizarre. Everyone was friendly enough but their entire set up is chaotic. After we finished eating, we waited for our server to give us our bill and finally realized that we'd have to go indoors to pay. We had to track down someone to tell us what table number we were seated at. And just how many cashier lines do they have? We got into the only line we saw but then noticed other diners cutting ahead of us to pay with another cashier that was hidden from sight. Frustrating. Anyhow, the water guy was very attentive and even fixed our wonky table (since we were seated outdoors on uneven asphalt). ALSO, they charge an extra $2.00 for kitchen fees/health/etc. so just keep that in mind when you're adding your tip. Bottom line, I would return for more pancakes but would choose a different fruit like berries or banana.

Yelp
Really liked this place! Was planning to eat somewhere across the street but they were closed so we gave it a try and am so glad we did. The menu has a lot of breakfast foods, it was hard to decide on a meal. There were a lot of people there but we didn't have to wait long - some seating inside but mostly outside. It's a small market/deli that has some of my favorite European treats. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
A very competent breakfast spot with a German market inside. NYC deli vibe. The pancakes are excellent, with a fluffy inside and crispy outside. Really nicely done. The Shoop's Famous Bacon Pancakes - featuring bacon bits within - were good (but overshadowed by the spectacular steps of bacon alongside my plate). Next time I'll have to try the lox baguette; after our visit I've been hearing great things. Perhaps you'll beat me back to Shoop's.

Yelp
You. Have. To. Get. The. Pancakes!!! Some of the best (if not *the* best.....ooo making a bold claim here) pancakes that I've had. Not only are they super raised and fluffy, but they even have a thin crispy layer on top. Ultimate sorcery. I did get the pineapple pancakes and the pineapple addition was alright. I don't think the pancakes really needed it. I also tried the salmon scramble (wanted to also try the popular smoked salmon here); the smoky-rich-tasting salmon didn't really complement well with the lightly-flavored scrambled eggs so I ended up eating them separate from each other. The side potatoes in this entree were perfectly seasoned. The sourdough toast lacked tang. Really friendly staff. Overall 5 stars mainly because of the amazing pancakes lol (made up for the salmon scramble which I thought was okay). Make your way here and order them (you can get them plain or try the other fruit-based ones)!!! That's an order!

Yelp
It's great to have a European market, but I was lied to by the staff regarding the ingredients in the potato salad. I am vegan (and do not eat pork for religious reasons!) and was told the potato salad was vegan. Having not eaten pork in over 15 years (the last time it was "slipped" to me), this caused me to have horrendous food poisoning.

Yelp
Stopped by for a bite and was so happy that we did. The mushroom omelette with rosemary and havarti cheese was delicious. Casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was quick and friendly. Spot seemed pretty popular with lots of folks dining in or picking up orders to go. Plenty of street parking and the european market concept was so unique - picked up some chocolate and marzipan.

Yelp
WE LOVE SHOOP'S! This is one of our go-to spots for breakfast and lunch. We were there this past weekend and as always, they didn't disappoint. We had the salmon egg wrap and pancakes! The food and service was great. I also recommend the Vege Clevander, Gravalax and any of the wraps! Thank you Shoop's. See you soon!

Yelp
Huge menu with options to please everyone, any time of day. Staff is very friendly :) Great assortment of European products in the market as well!

Yelp
Shoop's is a market and café restaurant located on Main Street in Santa Monica. This review is for Shoop's European Market only. Last week after watching FIFA games, one of the teams my friend was cheering on was The Netherlands, aka Dutch who won that game. Shoop's has a good selection of Dutch snacks and also from other European countries. The store is small but compact enough with a menagerie of savory and sweet foods to capture your amazement. The staff and the owner were cordial, helpful and nice to Me and my furbaby. Although I did not dine at the café restaurant, I would consider it next time because of the kindness and hospitality of the people who work here, including the genuinely cool owner, speaks volumes which is much needed these times. Recommend!

Yelp
Lots of vegan options! Fewer that were also gluten free. I got a salad that had chickpeas, avocado, and a vegan meat. It was yummy but nothing to write home about. It was about $20 after tip, and I was still kinda hungry after so that was a bummer. If I had gotten a bag of chips with it, that probably would've been perfect. If you want a salad, go across the street to Alfalfa's. Or if you want different vegan options, there is a vegan Thai place and vegan sushi place in the same lot. Server was nice, lots of outdoor seating, and got our food fairly quickly. So, all in all, a nice lunch but just not life changing. If they had gluten free bread, some of their sammies looked super yummy.

Yelp
I've become a very regular.... um... regular at Shoop's. I now rarely buy my cheeses anywhere else, as the selection here is absolutely perfect for my palate, especially their sharp smoked cheddar (there's also a non-sharp option that's just as good). If you're a brat & frank fan, there is no better place on the West side. I used to think all franks were the same, but oh-em-gee was I wrong after sampling their foot-long franks (actually, they may be longer than that, but you get it). And that brat? I can't live without it now. Their signature product is still their top-selling smoked salmon (not the lox kind, but their cooked, smoked morsels of ROYALTY). I never go more than a week without getting more. Recently, I tried their pancakes for the first time. To be honest, I'm not a huge pancake fan, but they were so convincing, I caved. I think it has something to do with the way they cook it on their flat-top grill, because that crispy yet moist goodness is the first time I've re-discovered my childhood liking for pancakes. They offer plain, bacon, and blueberry pancakes (they may have more, but my memory sucks). The true test for me was my son, who is the pickiest eater this side of the Mississippi..... and they passed with flying colors. Shoop has curated all the right selections of candy, snacks, and grocery store items, especially that salted Nordic licorice, which is another reason I always find a reason to stop by. Absolutely love the family service here. "You wanna go where everybody knows your name... " (Cheers)

Yelp
Great restaurant and shop with a large outdoor seating area. Had a good bacon and egg scramble. My mom used wife had a good omelette without the eggs - yes I wrote correctly. She liked all the toppings, but not the egg part. They did a nice job of making a delicious plate. Great service, too.

Yelp
Some may think I'm exaggerating, but this is hands down the best sandwich shop in Los Angeles County. I've been coming here since I was a girl, and I always stop by whenever I'm in Santa Monica. The Clevelander sandwich is delicious if you want a uber savory sandwich with hint of sour (sauerkraut!). If you're looking for something fresh, the Riviera is lovely with lots of veggies and a grilled chicken. Portions are large so I usually share with a loved one. Coleslaw and potato salad are A+. They've grown a bit since childhood, so they now have a lot of candy options! There's wine selection, too. The cafe is always packed, but folks serve your order rather quickly. I've waited maybe 10-15 minutes which is good considering the long lines. It's a very chatty space from my experience. Very lively and jovial. Servers are a lot kinder now than they were when I was a girl. It's been 15 years, so they've hired new staff I guess and it's for the better!

Yelp
TL:DR - Salmon scramble was ok, bad service. My girlfriend and I have been craving smoked salmon this whole week and so with our Sunday free, we had to visit Shoop's. Well known for their salmon dishes, Shoop's was a must-try place for us. We were stoked as we parked in the paid lot behind Shoop's and had a quick walk over to the restaurant. But, our excitement came to a screeching halt when we entered. If you've never been to Shoop's its arranged like any other deli store; there's a display case with fresh meats and a counter where you order from. In the back there is a small section of grocery products. Outside there are a handful of tables where you can eat. Keep in mind there is no hostess area, or podium, nothing. I lined up with the other people inside the deli, while my girlfriend went to secure a table. This is pretty standard for all deli type of places; order then find a seat. Outside, my girlfriend asks about a table to see if it was free, when Jeanie a waiter at Shoop's, begins to give her attitude. The amount of sass dripping off of her voice would make you think she was a Gen Z VSCO girl hating on the latest cheugy trend. She says that we need to find "a girl" to put our name on the list. (She literally would not expand upon "a girl" when asked for more details. Not what she looked like, or where she would be standing, just "a girl.") Mind you, we weren't the only ones confused by this ordering system, there was a couple both in front and in back of us who thought the deli line was where you order and then sit down. We all look around and see no one. I even walk around the entire deli and out onto the sidewalk thinking we missed a check-in area or hostess podium. When I come back into the deli, Jeanie is now holding the clipboard. Snarkily she asks for our name and we give it to her. She tells us to wait for our names to be called. I ask her, who's going to call us, since I never saw said "a girl." Jeanie hits us with some more snark, and says "MeEeE? Am I going to call YOuUuUuU? What do you mean?" I have no idea why Jeanie felt the need to be sarcastic with us from the get go, but she soured the mood for us. For someone that is past middle age, you would expect more maturity, but I guess some people never grow up. Onto the food now. I ordered the salmon scramble and my GF the salmon breakfast burrito. The scramble itself was pretty wet and mushy with little flavor, and the salmon on top was sweeter than it was smokey. Together they kind of make an odd pairing and didn't really hit the salmon flavor I was looking for. A little bit of salt and cholula helped save the day, but honestly I could've made something similar at home. The salmon breakfast burrito was much better, but even that salmon was a little on the dry side. Overall, the food was meh and I probably won't be back. Perhaps I'm bias after our terrible experience with Jeanie, but is it really worth it for me to try again? Probably not.

Yelp
We had the bacon pancakes and savory tomato basil pancakes. Enjoyed the texture of the pancakes - they were thick, a bit crispy on top and soft in the middle. Good amount of bacon included in the bacon pancakes and maple syrup and bacon is always a good combo. Glad I gave the tomato basil pancakes a try! Honestly I was a little iffy about it but really enjoyed it. The pesto and egg was great, the pancake soaks up the pesto, and the tomato adds some freshness. It went really well with the hot sauce they provided too! Service was a bit brusque and sometimes took some time to get their attention, but it was busy.

Yelp
Highly disappointed. Long lines, not the friendliest staff and all the sandwiches here are embarrassing No deli should ever serve something as disgusting and pathetic as the sandwich pictured.. Salami and cheese sandwich. The thing had four slices of Salami and 1/3 an entire onion... I sent it back.. Utterly disgusting Save your time and your money, don't come here. The absolute worst restaurant on the west side

Yelp
Was excited to try this place as it was within walking distance of our hotel in Santa Monica. When we arrived, I was disappointed to see that most of the seating (apart from a few crowded tables indoors) were set up outside right over the adjacent small parking lot. Why is this a bad thing? Because the lot was uneven and sloped, making the tables a bit unstable. Also, there was some kind of sewer smell present, which is definitely undesirable when you're trying to enjoy a meal. It was also a bit confusing how this establishment runs. We figured out that we had to stand in 1 general line, then when we got to the register we let them know we'd like to eat in. They put our name on a waiting list and we proceeded back outside to wait until a table was ready. It took maybe 15 minutes. For a Sunday morning, the staff was scarce. There was literally 1 gal waiting on all the tables and she looked overworked and annoyed. I don't blame her. Everyone else (working the register and the kitchen) appeared jolly and in good spirits. I chose to have the Salmon Scramble with potatoes and fruit. The portion was generous and hearty. Their in-house smoked salmon is delicious and is what made the meal awesome. My husband kept picking some off my plate. I really wanted to try a yummy pancake, but I don't like to order more food than we can finish, so we didn't. Another thing: We also realized after sitting at our table for a while, that our waitress wasn't coming back with a check. We headed back indoors to the register, let them know which table we were sitting at (noticed it was marked with spray paint on the ground next to our table... tacky...) and then proceeded to pay for our meal. Overall, our dishes were good, but our experience wasn't as great as it could've been based on the things I've already noted.

Yelp
I would eat here every day if I could. The blueberry pancakes are next level, and the cheapest option on Main Street. It's always the same two women working the cashier- it's a very local, friendly feel that I really appreciate. The tables outside are a great choice on nice days or there are a few tables inside if it's chilly.

Yelp
One of our favorite casual brunch spots. The smoked salmon/gravlax plate specifically is to die for and their coffee is excellent. I always get a dirty chai and it's perfection. My only critique is they will not make your breakfast potatoes well done even if you ask they are still virtually under done every time, if they can fix that I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Yelp
Incredible flavors and super filling! I was told it would be one of the best pancakes I'd ever taste and it is in fact one of the best pancakes I've ever tasted before. And I don't even like blueberries! So so yummy. Thank you!

Yelp
Wonderful food and super place for brunch. The staff was delightful and charming. Someone, who sounded like the owner, made some loud, unsettling comments about a customer that he should have kept to himself.

Yelp
Local deli & store tucked away on Main Street. Came here on a Saturday morning around 10:30am for brunch. We got seated right away but note that this is a pretty popular spot. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Credit cards accepted. There is a gender neutral restroom on the market side behind the counter. Street parking or you can park in a paid public lot. The food came out quickly and the waitresses were friendly. The gravlax came with a fresh dill sauce and a generous amount of lox. They have Zab's hot sauce, which wasn't spicy but added a nice layering element. The salmon pancake was very fluffy and very filling.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The location alone is not only perfect, but their range of niche candy and beers are impressive, their sandwiches are also incredible, and the staff/service are next level. It's rare to go anywhere today where the employees and culture are so genuinely friendly and inviting. I highly recommend Shoops, if you're in the area, it's the place to go for an exceptional lunch experience!

Yelp
"BEST PANCAKES EVAAARRR" My coworker highly recommended this place and it's a really nice, quaint shop near Venice beach. I'm not much of a sweets person and even though I will probably go for savory pancakes next time, the blueberry pancakes I did get were fluffy, crisp at the edges, and deliciously filling. Blueberries are like solid popping boba in your pancakes and getting a side of bacon adds a savory punch. Is it so wrong that I still liked the eggs a lot though? There wasn't anything particularly special about them, but I'm a pretty simple person. The hot sauce is good though! I also ordered one of their salmon breakfast wraps and that ended up being delicious even when I ate it for dinner. The salmon has a really strong flavor. Employees are really friendly and make you feel taken care of! There's a parking lot nearby which was $1.25 an hour (4-6 hours max depending on time of the week - the price is a steal compared to some "convenient" lots closer to the beach which can charge flat rates of $15-20).

Yelp
Excellent place to eat breakfast! The service was incredible - felt like it was run by a family who really cared about their customers! Food was great! Outside seating area was perfect in July. I had a mushroom omelette and a banana pancake and both were outstanding. My wife thought the bacon was cooked perfectly - crisp and flavorful. We have been to a lot of places that just can't do bacon right! We walked 15min to get here from the Santa Monica Pier area and will do it again next time we are in Santa Monica!
