The 20 Best Restaurants in Nairobi, Kenya | Eater

"Food, beer, and music are the draws at this industrial restaurant from a local brewery, decorated with exposed beams and murals. The menu is all pub grub like chicken-topped fries and fish and chips; wash your meal down with naturally clarified, small-batch craft beers, like the hoppy Sandtrap, a fan favorite with notes of mango, berries, and orange. Live bands play some nights of the week, and it’s a great spot to discover local talent, both established and up-and-coming. You can also visit the main brewery in Kikuyu for a tour and order beers on tap at the adjacent neighborhood gastrobar." - Wendy Watta

Went here on a Friday evening with GF and the atmosphere was amazing. Good music. The beer is awesome, tried a flight of 5 different beers. GF had a cocktail it was also nicely done. Food was delicious. Service from Mike (with dreads) was top notch.

254 Beer District, a place that celebrates the 254 Culture. They have amazing service. The place does get packed so, reserve a table if you can. They have Nakili Sessions, which has various artists perform. They have very attentive service providers. The restrooms are limited though. They are quite small & low water pressure is quite the problem at times. Overall, this is an amazing spot to enjoy Beer & Kenyan Music.

This restaurant is genuinely one of the highlights of our trip to Nairobi! The beer is excellent! It reminded me of the beers in Slovakia. The food is also excellent, and the portions are large and good value for money. The staff were really nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is chill. We visited a couple of times and one night was live music.

Atmosphere: Decent mix of people, some there for the sport, some for the beer, a fair number of groups just hanging out or celebrating. Overall, a good night out. Would do it again. Possibly more fun for groups. Would put a little more attention on the kitchen Service: excellent. Both servers pleasant, informative, quick and show right amount of concern served by Gladys and Hazel. Appreciated the thorough handover at the end of the shift. Both were great, so hopefully the good service is consistent too. I was there on the weekend, in the early evening. I had the beer flight (sampler of 5 beers), the wings and the smoked goat as the main. Sampler: Decent range . Some real good. Others meh. Wings: too salty. No real flavour or effort. Don't know about other items on the bar food menu, but if this is indication. I wouldn't bother Mains: the smoked goat is a house special (so I was a little disappointed)meat was nothing special. Very dry, the sides shined and made up (a little) for the main.

Craft beer lovers, this is your spot! 254 Beer District in Nairobi is an absolute gem. Their in-house brewed craft beers are consistently fresh and delicious, with a great variety to explore. Pair your brew with their fantastic southern-style BBQ and pub fare – the brisket and Smokehouse Burger are highlights! The vibe is always buzzing, with good music and a lively crowd. Perfect for a casual drink or a fun night out. Highly recommend!

The Beer District is a great restaurant/bar pick if you’re into craft beers, ales, lagers. But it’s not just for drinkers. The food menu has range and would appeal to the usual foodies. That said, they need to bin the current printed menu and go digital. What they’re handing out looks like it survived a protest in CBD. I tried the Smash Burger. Nothing revolutionary a pressed patty with cheese and sauce but it hit the spot. Juicy, filling, did the job. The letdown? The tomato sauce portion. One thimble of ketchup for a burger and chips? Come people.... For that price give us the bottles. Overall, though, the spot works. Daytime: good place to get some work done in the heat. Evenings: relaxed vibe, screens with football, volume low enough to have a real conversation. Worth a visit, just bring your own ketchup bana. 😂

The vibe brought me here but the food definitely surprised me, in a good way. The fish fingers are to die for, since they specialise in beer, you can definitely appreciate the beer batter they used on the fish. Very crispy, fluffy and tasty. This really complimented the red snapper. I will be back for that. The vibes are also good, amazing crowd and good music. The only downside I had was service. They seemed overwhelmed yet the place wasn't so crowded. They took time before they noticed us.

Convenient location ✅ The vibe was 10/10 , attended the drunken lectures which take place on Mondays . Their beer is also a 10/10 , not your usual beer . I highly recommend
