"Come hungry to this kosher-friendly sushi and Nikkei-style restaurant with an array of inventive dishes. Among the standout offerings are the OMG (tuna, avocado, jalapeño, and crispy onion roll topped with yellowtail hamachi, tuna tataki, and spicy ponzu sauce) and the Lima Roll (salmon, jalapeño, cucumber, and cilantro roll topped with white fish, and drizzled with ají amarillo leche de tigre, chalaca, crispy sweet potato, and a sweet and spicy pepper gel). Stop by for lunch Monday to Thursday for the namesake (and unbeatable) price of $26." - Alona Martinez

We had such an amazing experience at 26 Sushi & Tapas. Our waiter Amir was amazing and very informative of all of the delectable dishes they have to offer. Highly reccomend for everyone. They have something for every type of palate.

Was here on a chilled Sunday afternoon they have different menus for brunch & dinner, they have live music sometimes & on this beautiful Sunday afternoon they had a a guitarist who played amazing sungs, we took a any style egg dish that came beautifully plated with delicious food, we ordered a tiger crunch roll that was out of the world, crunchy & tasty, for drinks we had a Mocha & dark chocolate alfagado, really different & amazing experience in the heart of the busy Collins strip.... Highly recommend.

Not recommended! 🍣Food: Weirdest taste ramen I ever had in my life. It's very sweet and sour at the same time. Also it costs $29 and the bowl is even smaller than my hand. OMG roll tasted weird too. Crispy lady is fine, but the rice was pretty loose. If you call it fusion, It's not a successful one. The portion is incredibly small. You're playing basically over $50 per person and still be hungry. 🤵🏽Service: First, I don't like the mandatory 18% gratitude. It makes the waiter really sloppy, because they're getting that much regardless what they serve you. Second, we waited 40 mins before we get any food. Several tables came later than us but got their food faster than us, it just doesn't make sense.

We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the service and quite the friendliness of this place! Alia was out server and she was simply amazing!! They do a lot of sharing style portions so we did the edamame spicy, the lettuce wraps, the tuna belly sashimi, sea bass dumplings and the branzino. Every bite was better than the last. A lot of my reviews have been very positive lately but take my word, this restaurant delivers! We didn't know what to expect when we realized this area catered heavily to a kosher clientele, but don't let that concern you at all. '26 Sushi & Tapas' is a 10+ Establishment.

I visited 26 Sushi & Tapas for their Happy Hour and couldn't be more impressed. The restaurant is decorated elegantly and the bar area was very modern and tasteful. The bartender and mixologist had friendly conversation and mixed delicious drinks with flair. The small plates were also delicious and I highly recommend the salmon dumpling. Next time I'm in Surfside I will definitely return.

I took my husband and business partners from CA for a special dinner. Our dining experience was superb. Food and service was amazing! I have known chef Gian for so many years and know his quality works. We had so many dishes. Many were special menus created and suggested by chef Gian. Thank you for your great hospitality. My partners had a great time.

This place are what kosher dreams are made of. Nice ambience with dimmed lighting. At the door you are immediately greeted by a hostess and shower to your table. The waiters are knowledgeable and pleasant. The food comes out in a timely fashion and the dishes are cleared often. The Baja Tacos were filled with great textures and spicy delight. I wouldn’t bother with the sushi. I would go for the tapas. Each one was unique and flavourful. Let’s talk about the sea bass that was an amazing treat. Seared to perfection and melt in your mouth goodness, coupled with shiitake mushroom sauce and rice that just rounds out the main dish. Honestly, if you get nothing else, get that. The cocktails were fun and well presented. I really liked the texture of my smoothie. Now for the desserts, you must try the churros, they are out of this world. If you have some space left, the cheesecake was enjoyable. This is how a kosher establishment should be. Class act! Well done!

Alberto was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Came on a busy night for the restaurant, but we were attended and served like we were the only people here.the food was amazing. Highly recommend the sushi pizza. The freshest fish I’ve ever had. Delicious!

Yelp
One of THE best vegetarian sushi rolls I've ever had! While not marked as vegetarian - we double checked and the Bīgan Specialty Maki Roll is vegetarian and is perfection! It is a Kimchi, cucumber, avocado, and white asparagus roll, that is topped with roasted bell peppers glazed with sweet and spicy tamarind bibimbap sauce, scallions, and orange zest. 10/10 recommend this restaurant for it - and a place to bring your vegetarian friends if you want some sushi?

Yelp
The food was so good! I loved every single bite we had. We ordered the salmon teriyaki roll, sea bass dumplings, miso sea bass, salmon garden, Baja tacos, and the crispy lady. They were incredible bites but I think the dumplings were my fave. My husband loved the miso sea bass the most. And my mom's favorite bite was the tacos. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate nest and the pineapple w/cardamom. I loved the chocolate ice cream with the hard chocolate shell of the choco eggs. A perfect last bite! The ambiance is great. Beautifully decorated and no loud music. Our server was very kind even helped us update the check when we didn't receive one of the nigiris we originally ordered. Service was a bit slow. Overall, I would definitely recommend and cant wait to go back to try more things!

Yelp
All I can say is the place looks nice. Mediocre sushi rolls with Gourmet Price and $9.00 bottled waters. That's about what I got out of the location.... 2 rolls, edamame, bottle of water and an iced tea $75.00 with tip

Braylie P.

Yelp
Food was served quickly and tasted good. Salmon was crispy and fresh. Mule was also delicious. The tap water wasn't good though; wouldn't recommend. Overall everything else was exquisite.

Yelp
Found this by chance while visiting a friend. I was in the mood for sushi and he was in the mood for tapas so it all worked out. For a Monday night is was packed, we arrived at 9:30p and was seated right away. A table had just opened. On one side of the menu is sushi and the other side are the tapas and entrees. Everything to note is that everything is kosher. We ordered the lettuce wraps, Tequenos, crunchy tiger roll and Godzilla roll. The crunchy tiger roll came out first. It was very good! The Godzilla arrived. It was good but the Planko browsing made the crust hard with it being deep fried. We enjoyed the lettuce wraps and the cheese roll. The passion Rita without the spice was very good! If I am ever back in the area, I would visit again. There are a few other rolls I would I like to try and the people sitting next to us raved about the bourbon salmon noodles.

Yelp
1/25/22 Ordered Uber Eats. Had the mixed greens salad and the "side" salmon as a topper. The salad was packaged perfectly, it looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The ginger dressing went well. Loved the Peruvian corn and fresh avocado. Also appreciated that the onions were sliced very thinly so they did not overwhelm the salad. Enjoyed how the individual vegetables were separate so that I could mix them on my own. Each component was very fresh. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the meal very much. Looking forward to going to the restaurant to try more of their menu items

Yelp
Everything was super delicious. My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine's Day. It was super busy but the service was good. The salmon dumplings were my favorite dish.

Yelp
10/10 Lovely Service - Great and Fresh Good Food!!! I had a glass of moscato as well - so sweet and rich ! Absolutely loved it . Amazing service .

Yelp
Came here for lunch in a Sunday and left kind of confused by the high rating this restaurant has on Yelp. First of all, it's not well cleaned. I'm usually not very picky but it bothered me that almost every dish I had was somehow dirty. The glasses had watermarks, the bento boxes had some kind of marks on the sides, the chair seats were smudged. The carafe the sake came in had red (wine?) spots on it. It was enough to be noticeable for me. I had a rioja from Spain. I would recommend it. Good wine. The sake was also good, but they were out of their cheaper option and only had the more expensive ($20) one available. We both got the bento boxes with spicy tuna and they were pretty underwhelming. It's hard to describe, but the texture of the tuna was mushy and pretty flavorless. Also the bento boxes just come with salad/edamame/ or miso soup. I'm used to most sushi places adding more to their boxes. We also had another roll and it was pretty good but it was $25 which is just way too much for a place like this. Our server was fine, gratuity is included in the check. I would skip this in the future.

Yelp
Great Sushi. Also a Kosher place. Great cocktails. Close to the beach. Upscale atmosphere!

Yelp
Nice hidden sushi spot in surfside. Service was pretty quick didn't wait long for the food to arrive.

Yelp
Great place. we always stop by here when in the Miami area as their food is delicious and exotic and always fresh. They have a great little specials and an excellent wine list. Large outdoor seating area. The service is excellent. The meal portions are very varied between the different dishes, so I would recommend ordering on the conservative side and adding dishes as you're eating. They specialize in small plates LOL so most of them come out very quickly.

Cyrus P.

Yelp
Miami is currently the sushi & fish capital for restaurants since NYC and Cali have been mostly shutdown. This would make sense as to why most of the sushi places we have picked in Miami seem to have unbelievably fresh and delicious fish. 26 Sushi is the same as eating at an expensive Japanese restaurant in Manhattan or West Hollywood, except with much better quality of fish. Nearly everything was exceptionally tasting. The Saltarito Burrito is an exciting dish to try that explodes with flavor. I had half of it here and the other half the next day and it was just as good. Lubina Dumplings. Not my favorite, but a good dish to try. The dumpling itself was a bit too chewy. Los Marlins Tacos are very good. They don't fall apart, so they're a pleasure to eat and very good. The cevichito was one of the best I've had anywhere. EXTREMELY fresh fish. Delicious. Service and decor were solid for an enjoyable casual meal.

Yelp
Hands down, amazing! If I could give them 6 stars I would, from the food, service and the atmosphere, its something you dont want to miss. Both my date and I, heard amazing reviews about this place and it was everything and more! We started with the ceviche and the maduros roll.. and ohh myy soo yummy! The ceviche tasted so fresh, it was great, felt like it came stright from the ocean. The maduros roll was suburb, add a little spicy mayo and it melted in your mouth. Our entrees came out and the burbon salmon was devine, it was a perfect dish, it wasnt heavy wasnt too light and tasted awesome. However the best part of the meal was rice pudding! it was addicting, how good it was, you keep going and going until there is no more. If youre ever in the area, you should stop by or youll regret it.

Yelp
I recently had the honor of attending a yelp elite dinner here at 26 sushi & tapas. The food was incredible! By far the best sea bass I have ever had in my life! I have seafood in many places especially because I travel often to the keys where seafood is abundant. However the way the fish is cooked and served here is very special! Delicious is an understatement! Served on a skillet with sautéed garlic-y mushrooms. The appetizers were just as amazing. I am so glad I was able to attend this yelp event and have now discovered the best sea bass in Miami!

Barbara K.

Yelp
The food was great but the Churros were Amazing. Also Alvaro the Bartender is an Artist !

Yelp
Worst place ever!! If you value your money dont ever come here!! Worst customer service i ever had in my LIFE!! We didnt get everything we ordered, and when we ordered food they gave us "2 minutes " to order dessert as they were about to close, we got the dessert (that had ice cream in it!!!) together WITH the food before we even started eating !! They dont let you make your own roll only as it is in the menu. The rolls didnt taste good they were super dry and tasted like nothing and they charge a lot for a very mediocre and weak food! Eventually when we asked for the check of course they didnt give us the dessert back but didnt take it out from the bill and also charged us for things we ordered extra and didnt receive, so we had to check the bill carefully and asked them to take out the things we didnt get TWICE!! We wanted to order more drinks but they refused because "the kitchen was closed" (we didnt ask for food but more Saki ) but they refused i guess it was more important for them to close the restaurant than to have more happy and satisfied customers. We felt so bad and were so disappointed as we got recommendations for this lame place so we asked to speak to a manager. Apparently this place is working so lamely because of the manager ! instead of apologizing as she should, or even god forbid, offer us some kind of compensation, the manager argued with us that the "kitchen is closed" (what a joke honestly it never happened to me in all the 40 years that im living and visiting a lot of restaurants) and she even tried to put us down by saying "you dont know what its like to own a restaurant " well... We OWNED a restaurant so we know EXACTLY what its like and we never ever treated customers so poorly!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE treatment, im surprised they still have customers with the way they are treating the people that pay this restaurant!! I know we came right before closing time but every restaurant that respects itself knows it takes time from the moment you take your last customers until you actually get to close the restaurant, you CAN NOT have customers coming to dine at 10 pm and expect to close at 10:30 sharp thats ridiculous and absurd !!!!

Patricia G.

Yelp
The food is regular and you received a sample of each one. Really expensive, it is not worthy

Marc B.

Yelp
Bourbon Salmon NoodlesVery slow service but it seems that Bourbon Salmon Noodlesis quite the norm here. But friendly staff, plenty of social distancing, and options to eat outside. Music on the loud side (and not really to my liking). I also hate that they automatically at 18% gratuity but then also ask for a tip. How many people dont notice that gratuity was already added and add on their own tip after the CC is swiped? But that too is common here so customer beware and look over your check Food was delicious. I had the Trio fritas (10/10) and bourbon noodles salmon (10/10). Pepper fries, cheese fries, and sweet potato fries. The best I've had in a long time. And then great dips to go with them. Salmon was also amazing. Nuggets on a bed of pasta and veggies. Couldn't get enough of them.

Yelp
Came to 26 Sushi & Tapas for the first time thanks to Yelp . We got to the restaurant and we were greeting immediately by the host. She sat us down and introduced us to out waiter which name is Alberto. Very professional and attentive guy. We ordered from the special menu they had for the yelp event. We had the cevichito which it was amazing, im a big fan of ceviche and i know A good ceviche and this one was above average, we also ordered the maduros con codo sushi roll and it was very tasty for the main course we ordered bourbon salmon noodle and the miso sea bass, we were Delighted of how good these Two dishes were . The best part was the dessert however they ran out of the one from menu but it we Alberto made us an offer to order two of the best of the house which one was churros and the other one was a merengue. Something i complete forgot the name But it was delicious . To drink we had the sandra , honey you are driving , passionfruit mojito and strawberry basil smash all of these exceeded my expectations . We loved the place , the food , the service everything was amazing they even sang happy bday to my husband and i did not even asked, i just said we were celebrating his bday and they came out with the two desserts and some candles and sang to him. It was amazing.

Yelp
I've never tried Latin/Japanese fusion before. We were in town looking for sushi and the reviews on this place was enticing. I would say, if you're looking for authentic Japanese, this isn't the place... but if you're open to explore something new, I highly recommend this place. Our waiter gave us great suggestions, we pretty much Ed ordered all his fav and glad we did. Flavors were robust but not overbearing and my pallet was very happy with me! Coming again the next time I'm in town!

Yelp
We decided to come to 26 Sushi and Tapas for my husbands birthday this past week. We were really impressed with the service and food at this beautiful restaurant. We are from Las Vegas where the food scene is really amazing on the strip and off from service and ambiance to food. This spot reminded us of home for all those reasons. We really enjoyed our time with friends and we all agreed the food and service was incredible. I definitely recommend this gem and will definitely come back. Drinks: the drinks were amazing. I felt like we were at a bar. The Old Fashion on the menu was our favorite it came in such a beautiful presentation. It had the perfect amount of smokiness. I would recommend this drink if you are looking for something classic with a twist. Appetizers: we ordered the edamame which was delicious they were dressed with garlic and spices in soy sauce, the ceviche which i highly recommended it was Peruvian style and it had the right amount of fish and "leche de tigre" lime. And we also had tiradito which was also delicious. Main course: the main course was sushi and it was super delicious. Our favorites were the one with banana and the spicy tuna roll which was so good with the right amount of spice. Dessert: You must get the banana pudding with blueberry. It was seriously delicious and super moist.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant based on the raving yelp reviews. The menu is all over the place...there's sushi, ceviche, pizza, Burgers, fries...? It was our first time dining inside in quite a few months so we were just happy to be there but after ordering drinks we noticed one of our appetizer plates was dirty. We told the waiter & he quickly replaced it. Our dumpling appetizer was overly salty, & everything else was just ok. During our dinner my hunter of a man killed a pesky fly that kept trying to land on our food. Overall a lot can be improved including the food.

Ivan H.

Yelp
We needed a central place to meet with family and this place was chosen. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from a Kosher Sushi place but I was excited to see how it was. The food actually tasted fresh, and the presentation was decent; you can tell the knife skills of the sushi person were below par, but there's no complaining here since it all tasted pretty good. 2/5 Sashimi Salad $18.00 was pricy for a few pieces of fish. It was ok...tasty by wow...expensive for regular type of fish. 3/5 Danny's Sushi Pizza $13 was ok. Just a fusion of salmon, guac and cherry tomatoes. 3/5 Chilean Sea bass Dumplings $10.00 tasted ok but the skin was too thick and chewy. 4/5 Stir fried vegetables $5.00 were nice and very fresh. 3/5 Kanisu $13.00 tasted ok but so poorly executed. It wasn't rolled tight enough so when you went to eat it, it all fell apart. This was solely on the sushi person who's skills are below par. The slices were also all cut in different widths, some wider and some so thin. 3/5 El Nino 16 $18.00 was ok...it was again over priced for the amount of fish you received. I guess it's due to the place being Kosher that jumps the price up at least 25% from other places. 1/5 Crispy Lady $30.00 was basically $5 a piece of rice with spicy tuna over it. Absurdly overpriced for any place for this amount. I didn't foot the bill but had it...I'd have a cow for a dish that costs so little to be so expensive for what you were served. Outrageous. 2/5 Protein Punch $20.00 was another poorly executed roll with everything just falling out when you went to eat it...Look at the cut rolls...some so large and some so thin...was the sushi person preparing these dishes visually impaired? Nothing special about this roll really and it was quite boring imo. 4/5 Raspberry Cheesecake (I believe) was good according to the guest. 5/5 Service was excellent by our young lady...she was always around and made sure we had everything we needed... But I don't think I'll return here anytime soon. The rolls were mostly all poorly executed, and the prices are outrageous possibly since it's Kosher certified in which, there are so many other places that I can eat at without issue. Still, $30 for 6 pieces of fried rice balls with spicy tuna on it is ludicrous in anyone's standard.

Mariana M.

Yelp
Great food, but the worst service. Not sure if this was because we are not Jewish, and this restaurant is kosher. I really wanted to try it, but we were treated so disrespectful only the chef came to talk to us and apologize. the worst part they charge you with 18% service. we needed to wait forever to order sushi, no one opened the wine, and not once anyone asked if we needed anything

David L.

Yelp
Outstanding food all-the-way around. Very interesting menu choices with different twists on some favorites. It's expensive and often crowded but well worth it.

Nora A.

Yelp
The food food? Delicious! I loved that the food was Kosher. Overall the food tasted amazing (and that means a lot because I'm a picky eater) except for the tacos (they were too fishy for my liking). The staff was great, they were attentive and handled the large crowd very well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I got to have dinner at 26 Sushi & Tapas thanks to Yelp. My friend and I were treated to a bevy of delicious courses. We started out our meal with cocktails. I ordered the New Fashion. It's their take on the Old Fashioned. It was delicious but a tad sweet. I was super into the presentation as well because it came smoked. My friend ordered the Passionrita. She said hers was fantastic as well. As an appetizer we ordered the Maduro con Coco roll and the Cevichito. Both came out very quickly. I could not get enough of the maduro roll. It was so good and a great balance of sweet and savory. The Cevichito was delicious as well although my dining partner wasn't crazy about it. We ordered the Miso Bass and the Bourbon Salmon Noodles. The clear winner between the two was the Miso Bass. It was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted! If you take anything from this review, let it be to order the sea bass! This does not discount the Bourbon Salmon Noodles. I loved the flavor of this dish as well, the salmon was fried perfectly! Finally dessert, we ordered the Coconut Rice Pudding and the Passion Fruit Pots de Creme. The presentation of both dishes were so lovely and well thought out. My favorite was the rice pudding because I am not crazy about passion fruit. The Pots de Creme was tasty as well, it was tart (if you like that in a dessert), creamy, and the meringues that were served with it was the icing on the cake. I wish they ordered a chocolate option since fruit leaning desserts aren't my first choice but both were delicious! Overall 26 Sushi & Tapas provided us with welcoming, friendly, attentive service. The food was delicious overall and I think it's a great place to check out when you're in the Surfside area!

Josette S.

Yelp
I can't even begin to express how wonderful the service was at this place and I feel I need to start out with service first this time. Jason and Johnny were amazing! They gave the best food recommendations and were very attentive, always checking up on us. Let's get to the food. We each ordered a different appetizer, main dish and dessert from the Yelp special menu. For appetizers we went with the Maduro con coco roll and the Cevichito. Both were really good, but the winner is the classic Cevichito. It was so good and had a really nice spice. For the main course we selected the Miso Bass and the Bourbon Salmon Noodles. Both were really good. The salmon lacked a little more seasoning, but the noodles were amazing. The winner of the two though was the sea bass. It melted as you put it in your mouth. Served with white rice, savory mushrooms and two potato wedges, this one stole my heart for sure. For dessert we had the Coconut Rice Pudding and the Passion Fruit Pots de Crème. With the rice pudding you have to watch out as it has powdered cinnamon on top and if you don't mix it you will feel like you're taking the cinnamon challenge. Out of the two the passion fruit was the winner. For cocktails, I highly recommend the New Fashion. It comes smoked and they served it with a nice presentation. Please note that even though I picked my winner out of the categories everything was delicious and you can't go wrong with whichever one.

Yelp
Wow. Wow. Wow. I would come back here again and again and again and in the after life and in a thousand lifetimes. The food was absolutely incredible!!! The service was outstanding. & The place was so cute and dainty and definitely clean. Our waiters, Jason and John were true gems. Our main waiter Jason checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed and John would come by taking everything we didn't off the table. The food, my goodness. So much flavor! We got: Starters - cevichito & salmon roll. Entrees - miso bass & noodles. Dessert - rice pudding & passionfruit custard. The starters were both equally good. As far as the entree, I ordered the miso bass and my bf the noodles. I preferred the noodles he ordered and he my bass. We both liked the passionfruit custard more as well, the rice pudding had a lot of cinnamon that he choked on and a lot of the purple substance. I would highly recommend you come here, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants, and I was really not impressed with this one. Perhaps it was a combination of poor ordering and poor timing, but our experience was simply average. It took a very long time to get our order once it was placed, and so our food was mostly cold by the time we ate it. We had to order takeout since it was so busy, but next time I would get a reservation and dine in. I don't want to fault them due to the busy-ness, but I'm not convinced the food wasn't sitting for a bit before we got it. The food itself was highly fair - the sushi roll we ordered had an odd combination of flavors and textures, including being much more crunchy than anticipated, and the carrot dish tasted good but was not helped by being very cold. Also, since we had takeout, we did not get to try their drink selection, so I can't comment on that. Overall, the food was alright, but I'd likely go elsewhere.

Yelp
We are on our babymoon and my wife, knowing how much I love sushi, recommended this restaurant after reading reviews. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly host that allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. Immediately after being seated, our server (I believe his name was Alburto) offered us drinks. He explained the Peruvian drink special that I ordered and offered a delicious smoothie to my wife. As we looked over the menu we were a little overwhelmed, but Alburto offered wonderful suggestions first to my wife because she could only eat the cooked items on the menu. The way he described the dishes was incredible and gave us an incredible idea of what we'd get. He offered more selections to me as well. When our food arrived, it was exactly as described, except even more delicious than we could imagine. My wife, who is not one who usually enjoys sushi, got the empanadas (all cheese) and a roll that's been deep-fried and filled with cheese and cooked fish. She (and I) absolutely loved it! It was so light and she couldn't stop praising the delicious sauce it came in. My roll and other dish was absolutely delicious! The way the flavors and textures went together was incredible. Even one of the other staff who came to clear our table congratulated us on the new baby and was super friendly! Although stuffed, the desserts had to be tried. We had the blueberry bread pudding and another new dessert that was incredible. Alburto took time to give us insight into the area with recommendations of things to do, see, and eat. He was incredible and even purchased one of our desserts. I would absolutely recommend this incredible restaurant and it's amazing staff!

Yelp
We came for dinner on Yelp week. I have to say food was extremely good and big portions. The restaurant is really big, it has plenty of space and is a two area section. The decor was simple but nice. We were sit close to the sushi area which for me wasn't the nicest area or clean but the food made it all better. I had the Malbec wine which was really good. For appetizer I tried the maduros con coco roll was amazing! Or entree the miso bass was phenomenal! I will just go back for it. Plus is a huge portion. Then for desert rice pudding was the only one available, it was good, not my favourite but I was so full already that didn't matter. Overall service was nice and food was super tasty. Will definitely visit while on the area.

Yelp
WOW! I was very surprised by this place. Walked in without any expectations and I walked out loving the place. Thank you yelp for dinner at this place! Since we got in the service was amazing. They took our order right away, and answered all our menu questions. The appetizers - the Maduro Roll and the ceviche. It was a tie between the two. It was 9 PM and the ceviche was very fresh! This was a god sign. The flavor was right and the right amount of spice (if you are concerned about it having too much ají). The roll - my wife was skeptical about the coco and maduros together. She doesn't even like coconut. I had to fight her for a piece of that roll. Whatever they did to combine the flavors - I want another one right now Then... the meals... Miso Sea Bass vs the Salmon Stir fry. Here the Miso won! The sea bass was cooked perfectly , and it was on a bed of mushroom . Perfect combination. Also has a little rice on the side. The salmon was also very good, and the story fry had the right amount of sauce. The miso did have a more wow factor Which bring me to one important tip - the meals are well served, we couldn't finish our meals. So either get 2 apps and 1 meal or vice versa. Last don't leave without trying the passion fruit margarita!

Yelp
Unique food creations with a wide menu catering to many palettes. We started our meal with the crispy lady and ceviche which were both phenomenal and extremely fresh. We then tried the lubina dumplings which I though was a little fishy but my friend found it utterly delightful. The sushi rolls came next and we extremely delicious and you could taste the freshness of the fish. We finished our meal off with the bourbon salmon noodles which was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The salmon was moist and perfectly cooked and the noodles had amazing flavor with tons of veggies in giving it great texture. Overall I would very much recommend this place!

Yelp
It's good place just to get rid of hunger. We took the most popular sushi roll there and it was usual roll, nothing special. We've tried sea bass as well, and it was good, but it can be better. The interior a little bit boring, but still it's good place if you don't like surprises

Yelp
Yelp is On A Roll! One of my first Yelp Elite Events and it did not disappoint, had a blast with all the Yelpies and host restaurant 26 Sushi & Tapas. ! I love the area that is located in... maybe a block or two from the beach in Surfside, Florida and all the streets are very twilight-like with the Christmas lighting on the palm trees and mellow community of people roaming around the shoppes. Immediately greeted by the host and checked me in with a warm welcome. My server Guadeloupe was very attentive in taking my cocktail selection as well as the group I was dining with. As soon as everyone arrived the tapas started flowing to the tables. The presentation of the food was amazing, popping colors, smelled fresh, very detailed with the garnishes, and all kosher too! ;) I wish I could name all the selections that was served but it was so many and they all were unique and delicious. The pictures I took will have to suffice until you come in yourself. Do yourself and a friend or two a favor and come dine here for any occasion. Do it because it Wednesday and you want a good experience with great food! Very crisp appearance of the restaurant as well . All the staff members were on top of it too, promptly refilling our waters, detailing the entrees, fulfilling any need our table required. Great time with awesome people.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this restaurant! We made reservations beforehand and as soon as we entered we got seated right away. There was a cute personalized sign at our table welcoming us from Yelp which was definitely a nice touch! Our waiter Jason was great, very attentive, he explained the menu, went over what some dishes included if we had any questions, as well as made his own personal recommendations for favorites to us. This is when I learned the restaurant was kosher which was really cool and great for my shrimp allergy too lol! All of our food and drinks came in a timely manner, and my boyfriend and I were not disappointed at any point throughout the night. - Drinks: New Fashion was very good and displayed with a smoke infusion which gave your ole factory senses a burst, if you like an old fashion this is a more subtle version and still delicious. Also tried the Passion Rita which isn't too spicy, just perfect enough, so flavorful, another must get! - Appetizer: Maduros con Coco was extremely delicious and this is coming from my boyfriend and I who haven't been too crazy about plantains on sushi, and he also isn't crazy about coconut, but let me tell you that this appetizer was fantastic for the both of us! I'd definitely order it again! Also ordered the Ceviche which was really really full of flavor, perfectly made, and filling as it was a generous portion size! - Entree: I ordered the Bourbon Salmon Noodles which was so mouth watering with an added crisp from the fried salmon that made it delish. My boyfriend ordered the Miso Bass on top of a bed of mushrooms, so good, and let's just say he cleaned the entire plate! - Dessert: passion fruit pot cremeflan was very good with a bit of a tart tangy taste to it with fresh fruit, and the coconut rice pudding which had more of a sweet coconut and cinnamon taste topped with fresh fruit and a cinnamon stick, also really good. It's safe to say we would both come back here in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Cute kosher restaurant. Loved the imitation scalloped and the cooked fish in mushrooms. Didn't care for lettuce raps look better than they taste. Would come back to try more menu items, I like how creative they are with the food options. The service is slow though.

Yelp
I had two avocado rolls, French fries, churros and a Shirley temple. The food was good but it took way too long to arrive at our table. The servers barley gave us attention and I asked for soy paper but they still brought the avocado rolls out with sea weed which had to be sent back and was brought back out to me after an additional 15 minutes which wasn't ideal, but to be fair the food once it was properly made and finally arrived at my table was of good quality.

Yelp
Got to have lunch here with my boyfriend thanks to Yelp, and I'm so grateful because this place was SO good. Our server, Jason, played a huge part in why I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars because he was so great, attentive, and friendly, and I imagine the rest of the staff is no different. For cocktails my boyfriend had the Guava Pop and I had the Mango mojito, which was a very good size for the price, I wish I could have had 2 or 3 more! For appetizers the cevichito and the maduros con coco sushi roll, amazing. The main course I had the quinoa chaufa since I'm not a huge salmon lover. I'm not sure what kind of sauce they used for it but it made the dish taste so unique and amazing. Finally, for dessert we had the coconut flan and passion fruit dessert which provided a delicious ending to this wonderful meal. Thank you Yelp and all the staff at 26 Sushi & Tapas for this great experience!

Yelp
Went there for lunch with a friend . We shared 2 appetizers, a tuna roll and noodles. The food was ok and service was good but defiantly wasn't worth the over $100 price.

Yelp
Visited here last night for the Yelp event. We had a great experience food and service, reason for the 4 out of 5 stars was ambiance vibe. They could definitely be a 5 star! The hostess and our server were super attentive the whole time. We were given the Yelp Event Menu so we were limited to tasting items from their 10 page menu. Well we started with the cevichito and the salmon nigiri. My husband and I shared, I loved both but favored the negiri and he the ceviche. The nigiri was light and perfect the ceviche tasted like an authentic peruvian ceviche delicious and both generous portions. Entrees, I had the sea bass with rice and potato which was the most light well prepared fish I have tasted in a long time. Hard to find well cooked fish in Miami but this was amazing it was served on sautéed mushrooms and bowl of jasmine rice. My husband had the battered salmon on noodleS, again we traded and were back in forth. It was so tasty the salmon was perfect. The dinner included cocktails we had the pomegranate drink called the Sandra we ordered additional since they were so good. All in all we had an amazing high end dinner I feel this could be a high end restaurant if it were more intimate. Restaurant was very white (walls, table, furniture)and not much character, the a/c was also cold, and the music was blasting a bit loud. Maybe some warm tones and soft music would help it feel more inviting.

Yelp
We came here for a company event and the team did an amazing job. They went the extra mile, the food presentation (family style buffet for the starters) was beautiful and they even considered our company branding and logo. The food was great quality with many different options. Our waiter Alberto was excellent and took best care of our large group. He made sure at all times that everyone was aware what they could order and what the different food options are. He never missed a beat!!

Yelp
Sushi was ok but very small selection. The dumplings were nasty. Very astringent vinegary sauce that was inedible. Dumplings were doughy and undercooked. The waitress was Ana. She brought our food before drinks, did not bring any soy sauce or ginger or wasabi - and I had to ask other wait staff for the condiments. When she asked how everything was, I told her. Then she argued with me. Dont ask if you don't want to know! Then when she went to get the soy sauce - came back and had another go at me. I can't remember eating at such a bad place on a loooong time. So, if you want the novelty of inept service with argumentative waitress and an automatic 18% tip -( no wonder) then by all means eat at this place!

Yelp
This was my first time at this wonderful restaurant, I don't have words to explain how incredible was my experience at 26 Sushi & Tapas. The concept is totally different, they fusion Japanese, Venezuelan and Peruvian gastronomy. This is a Kosher Pareve restaurant, which means that their plates are based on fish, fruits, vegetables, natural juices (non processed), and others.. We had several cocktails, such as: -Lychee Sweetheart -Strawberry Mojito -Strawberry Basil Smash -and my favorite, lso, we had: - The "Trio Fritas" - The chef sampler (arepitas de pescado mechado, cachapas al catire, tequeños, prosciutto de toro, lubina piachina dumplings) *this sampler is subject to changes based on the daily specials* - Chili cheese fries **Awesome** - Truffle Tiradito **My favorite** - Maduro con Coco (sushi) - El Miamito (specialty maki) **My favorite also** - Obi Wan (specialty maki) **Spice, definitely wonderful** And last but not least, the desserts: -Blueberry cheesecake *Tasty* -Molten lava cake *FAVE* -Churros *100/100*
