Delightful, high quality dining- Lagostine ravioli and lamb shank was amazing. a must when you visit Paris.

Celebrity chef Cyril Lignac focuses on meat dishes at Les Prés - and it is very good! Interior is a mixture of a modern bar and a traditionnal brasserie. Dishes were well prepared and - as usual in any Lignac restaurant - desserts were to die for. We chose cocktails over wine as we felt bottles were quite expensive. We didn't regret that move. Good spot.

This place is great. I've been numerous times and I've enjoyed each visit. It's small and intimate but has a good vibe and pretty decent service. So far, everything that I've tried is good. However, GET THE BURGER!

Excellent food! The sweet bread dish was pan seared/ fried lightly with an amazing cream sauce that goes so well with the perfect French fries. 5-star yumminess. The steak from Argentina was full of flavors. The vibe is super cozy as the restaurant is small, but super charming. Loved it, thank you Paris by Mouth.

This restaurant was recommend by the concierge in our hotel. It was amazing! We loved everything we ordered. The waiter was so nice. It was a pleasure to dine in this restaurant. I would highly recommended this place.

We came here on a Monday night, and since we made reservations quite late in the game, only bar seats were available. Aux Pres, owned by renowned chef Cyril Lignac, offers a 3-course meal at 49 EUR, which is an absolute steal, especially by Paris standards. However, compared to the other restaurants we visited in Paris (i.e. Fulgurances, Mensae and Ellsworth), Aux Pres did not impress, both from a food and value perspective. The appetizers we tried were pretty mediocre. My husband ordered the spicy crispy prawns romaine salad with a sesame dressing. The prawns weren't crispy enough and there was nothing special about the sesame dressing (reminded us of a salad we had at Guu Izakaya, but that one was even more flavourful). In addition, there was no thought over the presentation of the dish. It was just a few pieces of fried prawns over a bed of shredded lettuce. I had the crispy rice, marinated sea bream with chipotle mayo, and similarly, there was nothing worth mentioning about the dish. As for the mains, my husband ordered a scallop dish that came with julienned apples and a creamy foam. There was a nice sear on the scallops, but it lacked the unique fresh sweetness that you would expect from sea scallops, and the portions were rather small. I ordered the wild cod caramelized with miso and cauliflower wasabi and it was a winner. The fish was flavourful and tender, and the fresh sliced cauliflower and pickled vegetables added a nice textural crunch. Quite a contrast from the appetizers, the desserts were to die for. I ordered the hazelnut caramel pear french toast with vanilla ice cream and the combination was absolutely heavenly. In Toronto, caramel desserts are usually overly sweet, but the amount of sweetness in this french toast was perfect. My husband ordered the warm chocolate cake topped with vanilla ice cream and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavours were complex and the cake was decadent. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Aux Pres, although we felt there wasn't much thought put into the ingredient combinations compared to the other restaurants we visited in Paris.

Best meal we had in Paris during our honeymoon. Fun atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, killer soundtrack and the food was insane. We both had the starter/entree/dessert option for 45€ each; for what we got -- we would've paid 100€ each, it's that good! Lastly, the chef greeted us at the door and spent the entire evening checking in on his guests. And not in one of those annoying ways, but in a way that made you feel like you were having dinner at his personal house. Every guest was having a great time and it was clear that it was not only because the food was amazing, but also because everyone felt truly welcomed by the staff.

Fantastic meal, wait staff was affable, and the ambiance was perfect! The Hors d'oeuvres were my favorite part of the meal, very unique and full of intricate flavors. Our waiter provided suggestions, was attentive, and polite. There was a definite buzz in the small sized restaurant. Everyone was conversing but not to the point of it being too loud, and the lighting was just enough to see your delicious food and beautiful date and definitely added to the intimacy of the meal. One last tip, it's hard to avoid the French wines, but give the cocktails a go, I had the Dark and Stormy, it was the best I've ever had!

The moment we stepped in to this restaurant gave an indication of our experience to be - we went in, said BONJOUR to the maitre d who was a bespectacled middle-aged woman but she ignored us. When her staff asked her where to seat us, in nonchalant manner, she relegated us to the worst table in the house -- the one next to the kitchen where a set of French doors swung non-stop throughout the whole evening we were there. There were 3 of us; we placed our belongings - bags and coats - on the 4th empty chair. The Maitre d came over, pulled away our chair and claimed for her own without asking - she said: "J'ai besoin ce chaise" (I need this chair) and grabbed it and expected us to remove our belongings on the chair. Throughout, absolutely no eye contact with us nor a word of apology. Fifteen minutes later, the Maitre D returned this chair. Half an hour later, this dowager took our chair again (and gave it to another table for the second time) - it felt like we were at Macdonalds. Whilst I would love to talk more about the food at this restaurant - it was mediocre to slightly above average -- i cannot help myself but notice how restaurant service at Aux Pres has 2 standards -- the Maitre D would greet other non-Asian guests with panache while she completely ignored us right from the beginning the moment we stepped into the restaurant until the final end. I would suggest that if you are not caucasian, don't go to Aux Pres because it seems that they have different standards for different races.

Pricey, but worth it. Make sure you have reservations or sit at the bar, if they have room. My husband and I stayed in an apartment, literally across the street from the restaurant (it was a disappointment but thankfully the restaurant was not). We ate here twice and found ourselves stopping in for a glass or two of champagne at the end of other evenings elsewhere. The restaurant host (and often times server/bartender), a thin fellow with little or no hair and intense eyes, seemed surly/fiesty at first, but turned out to be very nice and funny and was patient with my attempts to speak French. There is a short dark-haired women who, unfortunately, is not not so kind. The first night my husband and I shared what we would call an heirloom tomato salad with the freshest, most exquiste fresh goat ricotta (I believe) cheese -- it literally melted in my mouth. Great seasoning with fleur de sel and fresh cracked pepper on exceptional quality olive oil and fresh basil leaves. We then shared the beef tartare as our entree -- it's huge. The meat is cut into thicker cubes than what I'm used to, but the flavors were wonderful and they came with just about the best frites I've had. The second time, I had the tomato salad again -- seasoning and quality of tomatoes wasn't nearly as good as the first time; however, the goat cheese was equally as good. Then, my husband and I shared the best burger we've had in Paris. Great bun, exceptional quality meat (Aubrac beef -- a very old French grass fed breed of cattle used for high quality beef), topped with a crispy (not too salty) piece of bacon and an over-easy quail egg. Yum! One night we tried the chocolate souffle for dessert -- very good, but not my favorite version (actually, I prefer the lighter Grand Marnier or lemon souffles). Each night we'd try red wine by the glass and found several we liked. Of course, I'd have to start my meal with a glass of rose Champagne ... some nights I'd finish my meal with another! Intimate restaurant with no outside seating. We sat at the end of the bar most nights (never tried to make a reservation). The restaurant opened about 4 months ago and is a complete renovation to achieve a 1940s (or so) atmosphere.

Had the sweet breads! Amazing! This is a meat focused restaurant, with the bar next door (sushi). Service was great and great wine list to pair with your meal.

Here we are just in the hearth of saint germain. Come to this small bistrot were you will taste some good french cousine. Aurelio can guide you trough the wine list. Taste dishes from french cousine and some highlights from the world , Ciril Lignac has created. Good food for a fair price. Very friendly staff . We came in a little early and could seat at the bar with som jambon and glass of wine aperitif. Its a come back fo sure :-)

The food was super good. They even improvised a vegetarian meal for my girlfriend. The combination of the bar tender and the owner made an amazing team that made us feel at home. Thank you again for the recommendation to sit at the bar. I always love to sit at the bar myself but even with my girlfriend it was perfect. Thank you for a memorable meal and evening.

This restaurant is across the street (alley really) from the hotel I stay at in Paris. Last year I noticed it was always packed and very lively, but I couldn't get a table without a reservation. This year I made a reservation and had an amazing meal of cod with vegetables and a sauce to die for, and cheesecake with mango for dessert. The best kir I have ever had with Vedrenne cassis, and a glass of a lovely white wine selected by the maître d'. It's on a tiny street in the 6th but definitely worth looking for!

Would give it a 4.5 if allowed. Packs up, especially Sunday brunch, if you can get a seat at the bar, grab it. Good food, good service and the best profiteroles I have ever had. Ever.

I loved this restaurant. Everything was perfect right down to the awesome friendly staff. Great trendy vibe, fun atmosphere but the food is the star of the show. There were 4 of us dining so I got to try a little bit of everything. Do not leave without trying the Crispy Rice with Tuna it is out of this world. Be sure to make a reservation cause the place is packed. Hands down the best dinner I have ever had in Paris. Chef Cyril Lignac is a rising star and his lovely Bistro stands out. If your reading this Cyril please come to America and open a restaurant in NYC or Los Angeles.

Stayed at hotel bel ami, concierge recommended it. Food was delish. What a cool spot in the 6th district. Ambience was reminiscent of Brooklyn New York. Cozy. I would definitely tell a friend.

Came here originally for Sunday brunch, popped in without a res and while there were tables available the host said it was full with reservations. I've heard this place is super busy on Sunday so I wasn't surprised. But the bar was totally empty so I asked about those seats and he said they were also reserved. Hm, ok. My mom and I left to eat at Cafe de Flore. I made a lunch res weeks later with a friend and we had an amazing experience - I enjoyed every bite I had especially the crispy rice appetizer and the servers were super friendly (I speak minimal French but my friend is fluent) service was a tad slow but that's typical. I asked about the bar seats on Sunday and the server said they are not usually for reservations. So I thought this was really weird and the host I saw at lunch was not the same guy I initially spoke to but it definitely made me feel a little uncomfortable. There's a previous review with an Asian guy mentioning how he felt there was a case of racial discrimination at Aux Prés, maybe so. But if you want a good meal with a cozy interior, then this is the place.

Good food, nice place, good wine. If only we could finish it. We were asked to leave as the next customers were arriving at 10.30 pm. Very unusual for a good restaurant or that pretends to be one Doubt we will go back.

Had a great evening here with my wife. We sat at the bar, and had a good time watching the bartender work his craft (which he took quite seriously). Enjoyed the drinks, food, and service. Cuisine is sort of modern, french-esque, but very good. Not a cheap place, and you absolutely need reservations, but a good place to spend a few hours in the evening.

Fantastic! Cozy and warm. We stopped in on Sunday afternoon without a reservation and were able to dine at the bar. The chicken and the croque monsieur were each outstanding. We actually tried to go back for dinner that very night! The woman who runs the restaurant is perfect and I tip my hat to the chef: really simple, straightforward and excellent.
