Yelp
I organized a surprise bachelor party for my fiancé that started with dinner here. Not only was AQUA extremely accommodating with our reservation, communicating with me consistently leading up to it and reserving an outdoor table, but Justice went above and beyond to make the night so special. She suggested and made special menus (she asked me to send some photos), which were INCREDIBLE. AND the food and drinks were amazing. The guys had a fantastic time and we are all blown away by the service and this restaurant, especially Justice! Thank you AQUA and Justice!

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner at Aqua. The views are spectacular and the service was great! Our server was very kind and personable. The food was overall pretty good. We do have some high expectations having moved from Las Vegas a couple years ago - we frequented some of the "best" restaurants in the world there. I'd give the service and ambience a 5/5 - we got exactly what was expected and more! The view was obviously a 5/5 - it's the Seattle waterfront, what's not to love? I'd give the food a 4/5 - the filet was a bit undercooked (I didn't send it back; I'm not that person / also it did have a wonderful char and the meat was flavorful), the crab mac & cheese needed to be a little more rich, imo (it was still very good). I've had some decadent crab mac before so maybe I'm partial. The Brussels sprouts were among the best I've had, the oysters were super fresh, and the spicy shrimp appetizer was delectable (that sauce!) - those were all 5/5. I can't forget the bread pudding, either - that was out of this world! The cocktails were great, too! I had the Blackberry Smash and Yellow Cadillac - both were great. Our guests enjoyed theirs as well. Our guests had the halibut and salmon and both said theirs were very good! Also, the free Aqua cookies in the car from the valet was a nice touch. Overall we had a wonderful experience. A couple of the more expensive menu items could have been a bit better, but everything else was so good! I should have taken better pictures, but I at least snapped a couple.

Yelp
My wife and I dined here for our anniversary. They welcomed us to our table (which I had previously made special arrangements for) with the set up I asked for. It was cute! The restaurant is water front, had amazing views. The staff was great and extremely accommodating of my requests. Both our servers Rochelle and Paul were amazing, they gave incredible service and were very attentive. Our dinks were never low and they check on us frequently. The drinks were yummy. I ordered a mango mocktail and the Floreal. My wife got the four roses manhattan. The presentation of her manhattan was really fun as they make it table side. We then started getting our food and this is where it all goes down hill. The butter that they serve with the dinner rolls was so salty that it had chunks of rock salt in the butter. The octopus was over done and chewy. The crab fondue was so basic it had no flavor profile. I ordered the Alaskan black cod and it was extremely soggy. The scallops that my wife ordered was ok. At least it wasn't chewy but the flavor..... meh. We are big foodies and I have dined in both mom and pops as well as many high end restaurants around the world so flavor profile and texture is important to me. There was nothing special about the food. At the end of it all our bill came out close to $600 including the half a dozen roses for my wife. I had incredibly high hopes for this restaurant but we were extremely disappointed that we couldn't wait to leave and get dessert elsewhere because we already know we're not gonna be happy. I don't normally write reviews but this occasion is special and I wanted everything to be perfect but were left disappointed with the whole experience and for what I paid for, it's absolutely not worth it! I'm sorry to say.

Yelp
It wasn't a negative dinner but has definitely gone downhill since we went a few years ago. The food is great and can't beat the ambiance but at the price point, good food and ambiance is the standard. Positives: - seated by the water which was stunning - blankets offered - kind server Improvements: - service timing was odd, possibly due to her training someone and serving a large party(? Unsure). - started with drinks and oysters, and we asked for a few minutes to order mains. We lost our server for a half hour. the special that was previously shared with us was 86'd by the time she came back. We shared the Bacchanali for two, but it seemed the manager(?) who served it couldn't cut the food off the shell and seemed flustered so we all quietly stared at one another or away. We finished our food and waited another 20 mins later with empty plates and drinks, until we were offered dessert. At this point the restaurant was closed, the fire lamps outside had been out for awhile, and we'd been sitting for over two hours/cold and were the last people on the patio so we felt bad and just wanted the check to pay. Since we were celebrating a graduation we did want to have a small dessert come out to congratulate our person, so we did order it and unfortunately didn't have any sort of celebratory note. This was probably due to the closing which I get but then why push dessert menus at us 30 mins after closing? - lots of servers/busses walking by and eye contact but no one really cared to take the empty plates - felt like our server was overworked :( While the food and ambiance was nice, for the price point + automatic gratuity on a group less than 4 people...it really missed the mark on fine dining. We were stressed about closing times, flagging down people for basics, and kinda bummed considering it was a large sum spent for an evening celebrating. Also the loyalty rewards program kind of cheapens the establishment imo when you're supposedly fine dining.

Yelp
The experience was exceptional! We were sat outside, served our favorite drinks, that we specified ahead of time. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, suggested couple of his preferred dished. We followed the recommendation of sommelier to pair our food with local Columbian Valley wine which was superb and finished our dinner with a "Happy Anniversary" hand crafted cocoa powder personalized plate! The staff went above and beyond to make this even truly feel like a celebration.

Yelp
We made reservations for a double Birthday celebration at AQUA for a Friday evening. We choose this restaurant based on the reviews and to see the sunset. Our server was Simon, and he was "okay". At times, he seemed to disappear on Us while we waited for our drinks, salads and entree. We were unclear if this was common practice as the table next to us had a different Server who was more attentive. We all choose the Caesar salad which is tossed and made directly at the table. It was "good", could have used less lemon and more anchovies and parmesan. My entree was the King Crab Legs which were 2 legs for $129. The legs were a little skimpy. We all shared the garlic mashed potatoes which were excellent. One Guest ordered the Black Cod which was "basic". My Hubby ordered the Manhattan NY strip. It was pretty small and looked very lonely all by itself on such a big plate! To our surprise, Aqua did provide us with 2 complimentary desserts for my son and his GF. They were the best part of the evening!!! NOTE: If you are unfamiliar with the area, you have to walk down the sidewalk for Aqua's entrance. There is a Valet and parking available. Overall, a great location overlooking the water, Elliot Bay Trails and the Space Needle in the distance. Disappointing, we did not see the sunset and overall is was a 4.7. Pricey for the portions.

Yelp
Celebrated a friend's birthday at AQUA by El Gaucho on a Friday night. Ambiance: The table was beautifully decorated with a Happy Birthday card and rose petals upon arrival. AQUA offers a fine and comfortable dining experience with stunning views of the water, complemented by live piano music throughout the evening. Food/Drinks: We ordered dishes like king salmon, wild Alaskan black cod, rib chop, and seared scallops. Tim, our server, recommended the black cod, which was a standout dish. The food, including the shareable sides, was delicious, and the extensive wine, liquor, and cocktail selections added to our experience. We definitely appreciate the dessert at the end to top off the celebration! Customer Service: Tim provided exceptional service, patiently assisting us in selecting a bottle of wine by offering tastings. His attentiveness contributed to an enjoyable dining experience. Looking forward to returning for their Happy Hour!

Yelp
We went to Aqua to celebrate my birthday, and upon arrival the table was beautifully decorated with a card, rose petals, and a special birthday menu. We had a delightful dinner and everything was cooked well with my compliments to the crab. We also received a gorgeous complimentary birthday dessert. To top it off, the valet left chocolate chip cookies in our car upon returning it! Our server, Dimiter, was very helpful with recommendations, was very on top of anything we may have needed, and was very friendly throughout the night. He even called over another bartender for more specific whiskey recommendations. The ambiance is exactly as it looks online, absolutely gorgeous setting, decorations, and vibes with stunning views of the sound. There was nice, live piano music playing as well. My only complaint was the calamari starter as it had significantly more broken bread bits than meat. Had to dig for the good pieces which was disappointing.

Yelp
Located next to the pier overlooking at the waterfront. A great place to see the sunset and have that water view. Reservation was made ahead of visiting. Valet parking available. We arrived just a little pass sundown and was seated in the greater dining area with booth seats. The atmosphere is inviting and classy. There was a pianist nearby playing some familiar melodies during the Saturday evening. Our server was Alex and he was attentive and helpful. We celebrated our anniversary and was treated with care by all the staff. We ordered the Seafood Bacchanalia to share. The seafood was delicious and fresh. Loved it. Would definitely come back again if I am in Seattle. Highly recommend. Great for Anniversary, Office Meetings, Celebration Dinners, Date Nights.

Yelp
I've been a customer of the El gaucho restaurants since 1995. Yesterday's meal at Aqua was probably the worst quality of food I've had in Seattle in more than 10 years. My fillet mignon had to be sent back two times because they couldn't cook it properly. The crab macaroni and cheese is nowhere near what it used to be and the mushrooms were terrible. It's disappointing because I'm a huge fan and by far this was the worst meal I've had in the last 10 years in Seattle. I felt bad for our server who was really good but the food quality was 1-Star.

Yelp
Victor, our waiter was awesome, and it's just hard to not have a great experience on a sunny Seattle summer day at your restaurant! Love Aqua! Thanks for making my wife's birthday dinner special!

Yelp
Excellent food! Fresh and tasty! Service is also attentive! Ambience of the restaurant is chic and calm. The ocean view is gorgeous. I enjoyed the dinner very much. We had to wait a bit with reservation. But it is definitely worth the wait. The seafood bacchanalia is for 2 ppl to share. The portion is pretty big - i was so stuffed that I didn't leave room for dessert. The seabass and new york steak are also nicely done. We finished everything!! There is valet parking. Since our reservation is after 8, we choose to park on the street and walk a block.

Yelp
Ambience A+ at our table outside tonight, 5/25/23 Paul is an EXCELLENT waiter and he deserves all 5 stars because he's professional and personable! He even moved the umbrella so the sun wasn't in my eyes then kept checking and moving it further out almost into the Sound lol. We brought my kids here who had just flown in from NY and what a glorious evening it was with perfect weather and a perfect waiter! We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which we all shared. We also had some appetizers. The octopus was tender. The strawberry salad was tasty Oysters were the best out of that group Bf and my daughter had the king salmon and my son had the cod which I tried and liked I was full so I had a bite of theirs and loved the salmon! They had bread pudding and said it was awesome! We had a very enjoyable evening here and would definitely return!! Thanks Aqua!!

Yelp
This is always one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I am in Seattle. The food, ambience, and service is all amazing!

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions, once for a birthday gathering, and another for a business dinner. In both cases, I found the food to be outstanding, the wait staff, to be excellent, the cocktails and wine list to be first rate, and overall a very good experience. It's not a cheap restaurant by any stretch, and nor should it be. This is a special occasion restaurant on the waterfront, and something to be enjoyed for what it is. I'll definitely be back for an occasion that demands a first class dinner venue.

Yelp
Really great night out and Alex was very attentive. The drinks were refilled regularly which is always a plus. We did end up having one person at our table whose starter was forgotten so came long after everyone else had started and finished their starters. Then his entree was forgotten after everyone else had been served. That certainly put a damper on the evening. His meal being forgotten also made the elaborate service delivery of the entrees fumble since all of the meals were offset. There were three attempts until I received the dish that I ordered. Dessert was a delight and the bread pudding and cookies and ice cream were very tasty. Note: Aqua was at the very end of the pier so my Uber driver dropped me off and just said "it's somewhere in there."

Yelp
Service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I appreciate that there's a vegan and gluten free entree option on the menu. We sat in the main dining room which is nice, but the bar area looks nice too. The bar is huge and has a nice view. Street parking was easy to find on a Saturday at 5pm. My reservation said that we could self park in valet area but that wasn't the case.

Yelp
Overall, it was an average experience, for a fairly high price. A couple of things influencing this experience: - we ordered tableside Caesar salad, and a lovely guy came to prepare it at our table. My partner and I were in conversation, so there were points while he was preparing it where we weren't in direct conversation with him. The manager came over and seemed to be condescending/passive aggressive toward him, saying "has he told you what's in the salad yet" "why don't you tell them the history of the salad". The tone/approach seemed a little over the top and honestly made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The guy was doing a stellar job, offering commentary sprinkled in between my wife and I's conversation. It was awkward that he was being coached right in front of us. She was being a little over the top, exaggerating the salad and the view, and it was all just a bit of a weird show... - Ordered a medium steak and it came out very well done, absolutely no pink. If I'm paying close to $100 I would hope that the steak would be properly prepared. I had to flag down another waiter, as ours was nowhere to be found, and my partner had finished her meal by the time the second steak came out. In all fairness the waiter was apologetic and offered a glass of wine (or so I thought), however it was on the bill at the end of the meal. We did get a dessert on the house. - Overall, the service was slow, food was pretty average, and I think price wise you're certainly paying for the view. I could tell that management were paying great attention to the experience and providing feedback and coaching, but the fact that it was done in front of guests made things a bit awkward and created a less than ideal environment...

Yelp
I love El Gaucho so I knew I would like Aqua too! Our server was really great, he was knowledgeable and professional. I wish I remembered his name.. but I will always remember the great service. He was very personable and funny too. Our table had a nice beautiful view of the puget sound. We had table side Caesar salad which he made for us, the oishi oysters, rib eye steak and the scallops. Everything was amazing and tasted really good. Overall great fine dining experience!

Yelp
We sat at the bar for happy hour (5-630pm). We had a view of the space needle and the sculpture park through the windows behind the bar. The bartender was friendly and made our drinks swiftly- gin martini with bleu cheese olives and beer. We definitely ordered too much - since the menu didn't indicate that the burger comes with fries, we got an overload of it since we got two orders of burgers and a plate of fries. Besides there being too much, the fries were hot and crispy, really great with the aioli. The burgers were massive (we totally could've shared one) and cooked to our request, and while it was good (tasty potato buns and tender meat) the thick bacon in it made it too heavy and salty. I ended up taking it out after a few bites. Also it was incredibly greasy; I laid my burger down on the napkins to soak up the excess. We ordered tenderloin tips. There were some great bites and some just okay - it wasn't consistent and I probably wouldn't order it again. Lastly we shared the calamari which also was nice and crispy but greasy. It might have tasted extra heavy since I was eating it alongside the fat burger and fries. It was enjoyable until it wasn't. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance with the view and live piano playing, but I'll definitely order differently next time.

Yelp
Right on the pier with a great view of the water, spacious outdoor space for dining and watching the boat regatta go by. A lovely buffet/appetizers setup outside. Very memorable. Seafood - oysters, shrimp. tempura, and many other delicious food, drinks, and dessert.

Yelp
Overall I've been more disappointed than delighted with this place. Over a few visits here I came to conclude that they have two stellar dishes: oysters on the half shell - among the freshest and best Washington state has to offer, and fried buttermilk chicken - juicy and flavorful. Now, everything else ever ordered didn't fare so well. Here goes in no particular order: I had the most terrible piece of seabass ever served to me at this place (this was sent back as uneatable), horrible grilled octopus (tough, dry, no flavor), and New York steaks that came notoriously under-cooked (blue with cold center) every time. Aqua by no means compares to its sister steakhouse restaurant El Gaucho. There was also a clam chowder-like seafood stew that I remember as 'fishy.' It's all about seafood inventory control and someone should take a strong look at what's going on at Aqua. The black cod was fine every time, middle of of the road. The Aqua Manhattan is excellent again but I don't like any of the beers on tap that taste flat as if diluted with water. Sure, Aqua is an elegant restaurant. Wonderful location and view with elevated service. This is also the reason I tried it a few more times. But I must conclude that its substance is not on par with this facade.

Yelp
1. Bob, our server, was phenomenal!2. Printing the menus for my birthday is the added touch of why El Gaucho/Aqua is my favorite brand of steakhouse in the Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue area

Yelp
This was my first visit to Aqua. I came with work colleagues; there were about 30 of us. They impressively seated us around one large rectangular table. The service was outstanding. There was one waiter who was absolutely amazing (he kept track of several drink orders without writing anything down) and was also very personable and offered great suggestions. The food was really good - with the exception of the house salad. The vinaigrette dressing was surprisingly tasteless. I chose the filet mignon for my entree, and it did not disappoint. The final 2-for-1 dessert was great - a macaron and cheesecake. I've added 2 photos of the view from the restaurant. One photo captures "Seattle": the two ball stadiums, the Port, Mount Rainier, and the ferry. You can't beat the views!

Yelp
First time for Restaurant Week and I can't wait to come back! The service was fantastic- hostesses were personable and laughing with us and other guests, our server was so nice and welcoming, and a few people came by to check on us throughout to make sure we everything was good. The food was overall good. Bread service was meh (didn't do much of anything for us) but the calamari was amazing! Great breading and slightly sweet- definitely recommend. I enjoyed the Caesar bc it had really good lettuce and while heavily dressed, the dressing wasn't overpowering in flavor. Entree was the steelhead and filet medallion duo and it was like a solid 8/10. The fish wasn't the star but the filet was cooked perfectly and so tender. I loved the mashed potatoes and sauce! Dessert was the perfect end: the chocolate cheesecake was appropriately portioned as it was very rich. My friend really loved the raspberry macaron and I think it was a very pleasant surprise/pairing. I could have done without the Chantilly and salted caramel sauce though (both too sweet for me). We sat in the dining room but the bar is super cool; it runs pretty much the entire length of the dining room! I've also heard they have a good happy hour so will definitely be back. Overall I would recommend for date night or group celebrations. Great setting right on the water as well. Thank you Aqua!

Yelp
Food was excellent - my son said it was best steak he ever had and my wife loved her pork chop. Staff was attentive and informative but not obtrusive or too strong on guiding choices Restaurant is beautiful, but can be loud on busy night

Yelp
This place has a beautiful ambience and impeccable service. Seafood is fresh and deliciously prepared by a chef who clearly knows what they're doing. Highly recommend for a fancy night out - expect to drop some big coin!!

Yelp
We went to Aqua last night after receiving a Revelers Club gift card for Christmas. We had a positive interaction with all the personnel at this restaurant, but sadly, the food was just not it. We started with a happy hour cocktail (weird selection available) and then moved to the dining room for dinner. The Calamari starter seemed like we got the bottom of the fry bin. Hardly any squid, just crispy bits of batter in a really sugary sauce. I thought maybe it was just the last of it, but we saw another table get the same thing and it looked the same. Seems like a bad way of cutting costs if that was the intention. For dinner we ordered the Fried Buttermilk Chicken, Brussels Sprouts, and Black Cod. All of these items continued to miss the mark. The Brussels were soggy and the cod was coated in an overly sweet sauce that fully detracted from the taste of the fish. The batter on the fried chicken left us feeling icky upon leaving. We enjoyed the ambiance and the people at this restaurant, but for the price point (we still spent $200 on top of our $100 gift card for 2 people), it hurts to come here unless you are getting a happy hour burger.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal and experience here. The service was great and we got our food surprisingly quickly. There was live piano music on the Friday night we went. I had the Scarpetta wine and the black cod. This wine was nice and tart and easy to drink. I like that they have a 9oz option for wine - perfect portion for me. The black cod was amazing. It was presented with a coconut broth, spaghetti squash, and delicata squash which all went great together. I was very impressed. The flavor was perfect. The fish was cooked so tenderly and the skin was very crispy. I have told many people about how I enjoyed this dish. I'll be back!

Yelp
The food and service were excellent. We especially like the corn chowder and corn side dish. We are happy to see Jorge training Abdul. We are sure that Abdul will be a valuable addition to the Aqua team.

Yelp
We discovered AQUA a few years ago and have been regular visitors ever since, maybe a couple of times a year. We like the view from their outdoor seating area that's why we usually only go in summer. Parking is mandatory valet and the service from the staff has been consistently good over the years. Their menu also has not changed much at least for the last 3-4 years, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. I personally hope to see something new on the menu every time we visit. We love the grilled octopus but the last couple of times we felt it did not taste as good as it used to. Mostly because it lacked the charcoal taste which we absolutely loved in grilled octopus the first time we had it in AQUA. Service has always been good and consistent over the years and they have a 20% service charge to ensure all their staff are making a sufficient wage. Overall we like this place and will be going back in the future but I do hope they change the menu a little with maybe a few more new dishes every year.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday (now 2 years in a row!) last week and had another great experience. They decorated the table for me and everyone was so kind. The food was amazing just as I remembered from last year. They also comped a dessert for my birthday :) My fav dish was a scallop dish that came with a pasta filled with ricotta and snap peas. Need to go back more frequently and not just for an occasion. Views are unbeatable!
google avatar

Tonya M.

Yelp
Went to celebrate my birthday, and the team did not disappoint! The booth we were seated in had a view of the whole restaurant and windows with a lovely view of the water. I did not catch the bartenders name, but he went above and beyond to get the recipe for an old drink that was no longer on the menu that I really wanted to try. The Envy is my new favorite! (Hopefully they will still be able to make it next time!) Thank you for a wonderful birthday celebration!

Yelp
We had a wonderful anniversary experience at AQUA. Our servers were kind, helpful, and professional. The ambiance is classy and warm. We were seated at a table covered in rose petals and there was a signed card from staff. The food is solid, too. We enjoyed the steak and salmon.

Yelp
Outstanding menu, service, and views!! My husband and I spent a wonderful date night here. I loved that during sunset the hostess let us know we could go outside to take pictures, it was such a fun way to capture the memory! We were also pleasantly surprised with a cute package of cookies waiting for us in our car after valet brought it up. Such a sweet experience!

Yelp
Fantastic dinner. Sat right by the water. Tori was our server and she was fantastic. Her husband came to help a little too. We went for a belated birthday dinner for my bf and everything was perfect.

Yelp
Other than its name, this is still the old Aqua, a high-end, touristy, expensive, and excellent restaurant with seafoods and cocktails as their main fares. Came on Friday night. Valet parked and prompted seated, walking past the pianist. All staff were impeccably professional. The table-side made smoky old-fashioned was $28 and perfectly made. But do you really want someone to burn sugar and infuse its smoke into your drink? Yes! Menu was not big, we ordered pretty much all the appetizers, some using those as main courses. The jumbo scallops were perfectly made, with raviolli. I wish the mussels and claims appetizer had larger portion. Was pricy. But you don't come here to have a cheap date.
google avatar

Bacong F.

Yelp
The service here was superb. The restaurant included a 20% service charge but the wait staff certainly earned and deserved more. Restaurant offered the HH menu in the dining area and not just the bar, which was nice! Ended up ordering only a drink on the HH menu. Ordered 3 apps for myself. The salmon roe dish was a hit for me. The oysters were fresh and delicious! The grilled octopus was good too. Wished a had more room for the main courses. The miss was the bread pudding. It was good but not great. I prefer it super warm and softer in texture. Sign up for their loyalty program before you dine here. It will get you a discount to use on your first visit. I came early to walk around the sculpture park and the pier area. Well worth it even in the cold!

Yelp
Settling in and reviewing the menu, we were shocked by the cost!! The setting was very nice, albeit very cold from the large party continuously going in and out from the dinning are to the outdoor patio. I ordered a starter of Poke made table side. Our server added wayyy too much salt that over powered the tuna and other ingredients. I have had many Poke dishes while in Hawaii and a traditional flavor is a hint of sesame oil. This Poke had none. It was pretty bad. I ordered a "Yellow Cadillac" cocktail that was, in reality, nothing more than a $20 very sour and very small margarita. My wife ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. It was tasty, but not worth the $40 we paid. I ordered the Black Cod. The the piece of fish was about 3 oz. However, when the thick inedible skin was removed, it was closer to 2 oz. Lastly, we ordered the Creme Brûlée to share and it was actually more like vanilla pudding. It lacked the delicate features of a good Creme Brûlée. What really shocked us both was this restaurant added a 20% gratuity to the bill along with a note saying if we wanted to tip less, we needed to speak with the manager!!! All in all, our meal cost about $230. But in reality, it wasn't even worth $100. Definitely a ripoff.

Yelp
The experience was awesome. We had window seats and it was a beautiful day in Seattle. Abdul was our waiter and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and funny. Food was exceptional.

Yelp
Oh my god, where do we even begin? I booked this dinner reservation for my anniversary. My partner and I were super excited to go here on a Saturday night. Not very luxurious lobby but once inside, it warmed up a bit. There was a live pianist, it definitely gave mid-grade hotel lounge vibes. It wasn't as high end as I was expecting, Our server for the evening was very friendly, she was attentive and prompt. But let's get into it... Appetizers: fresh oysters & calamari Had I known, that the appetizers were going to be the best part of this dining experience we would have literally just stopped here. Unfortunately, you will have to read on because the entrees were nothing short of awful. Appetizers: a half dozen oysters were listed at $47! but we said why not? we love oysters! And ordered a dozen. When they arrived some were in broken shells with bits that got into our mouth. the " mignonette" (if you'd even call it that) was just red wine vinegar with an obscene amount of SUGAR! I've been to MANY seafood restaurants, and fresh Oyster Bars and I can safely say I've never had a mignonette that disgusting. Suggestion: If you are a lover of oysters in Seattle, do yourself a favor, go to Taylor Shellfish! Fresh, delicious, a proper oyster experience with no shells in your mouth. the calamari were delicious, had I known this was going to be the most enjoyable item from our entire meal, I would've ordered more. :( Crab Mac and cheese : GROSS! Undercooked noodles, watery flavorless sauce , with a sprinkling of rubbery overcooked crab shreds sprinkled on top. It was disgusting. There's just not other explanation for this. DO NOT order! Caesar Salad : The Caesar salad was their featured tables side "experience". our very sweet server brought over a large side cart and made the salad. It was fun and entertaining to watch her make the dressing , but again it's nothing spectacular just a big salad that can easily be shared for 2-3 people.. Entrees:this is where the review goes down hill... I ordered the $67 scallops and risotto this is one of their featured items, and being a seafood restaurant I was very happy to give it a try. My partner being curious decided to take a chance on their fried chicken (interesting option at a seafood restaurant) but we were very intrigued to see if they had some spectacular recipe that was worthy of being on the menu. The scallops and risotto were AWFUL! When I say awful, I mean BAD. I've honestly had better risotto on the airplane and this is not an exaggeration. The risotto on my plate had the consistency of SLOP on a plate! As many reviewers have stated, the presentation was not so good. There were Burnt sage leaves, and the worst item was the scallops! They were rubbery and overcooked but also doused in salt! I mean, take one bite and you instantly knew that if you ate anymore you'd probably get sick. I was very disappointed, but instead of making a stink I decided "ok, I can just share the chicken".... It gets worse The fried chicken LOOKED like it was going to taste great but also with one bite in, the chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old oil with hints of lingering seafood flavors. The texture was DRY so dry! The vegetables were over cooked, soggy, lifeless, and had the stench of chlorine!!!!!! There were bits of overcooked pork belly? But the smell was completely rancid. We honestly couldn't even eat it. Our server came to check on us to see that I hadn't touched the scallops to which I expressed to her my concerns and she politely offered me an alternative, at this point I politely declined and we asked for a desert menu. The astronomical prices for these dishes is beyond me, especially living in such an amazing food centered city like Seattle where we do not have a shortage on phenomenal restaurants with chefs that KNOW how to cook. Our server ended up bringing us a free crème Brûlée which was also very bad, but smiled and endured it. The chocolate martinis were ok but overall this places food quality was not good, and the only reason it's just a step above Red Lobster in any suburban strip mall is because of ambience and ocean views during the day. $400 later.... We were offered to sign up for their "dining rewards points" I would never expect this from what is supposed to be a "luxury" seafood experience. Just seemed very tacky and off brand for the experience and image they're trying to present. I gave a generous 2 star instead of 1 because our server honestly deserved a 5 star review, we tipped her well because she made the night so special but I can safely say, WE WILL NEVER COME BACK, and definitely do not recommend.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! Allow me to elaborate. The meal was fine. Not great. ( I had the seared ahi and it was fine. I've had as good for half the price.) The ambiance was pleasant and the views were as advertised. What wasn't as advertised were the prices. They were about 10% more than their website indicates. But, even that wasn't what was troubling. When the check came, we were informed that they had automatically added a "20% service charge that was retained by the restaurant and not distributed to the servers." We were a party of 2. What's more, an additional tip was then solicited. There was no mention of this prior to the delivery of the check. To be clear, we don't mind paying premium prices for a premium dining experience. What we resent is the disingenuous nature of their pricing. We were not given a choice in the matter. All that was left to us, in the way of recourse, was to make a scene ( not our style) or inform the rest of the dinning public about the scam. What they did was tantamount to fraud. To add $52.00 to a tab in order to pay staff a living wage would be acceptable to me, if I was told before hand and given a choice in the matter. I would even support charging more for the meal to give the service staff a better base pay. But their behavior is beyond the pale. To sum up, we don't mind paying a fair price for goods and services to support those who provide them. What I find abhorrent is being charged more than expected, more than portrayed after after the fact, more than they represented. That's criminal. Update: The individual who identified himself as the owner, (Chad) obviously didn't fully read my review. I clearly stated my support for paying professionals a professional, living wage. What I resent is not being given a choice in the matter, and being surprised with a mandatory, additional charge. I stand by my recommendation - charge more for each dish, and pass the increased revenue along to the wait staff and back of the house. This way, there would be no need for the misleading statement at the bottom of the check. The management doesn't need to make a production out of doing the right thing by mugging patrons on their way out the door.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best seafood restaurants in Seattle. Not only is the dining area spacious and beautiful but the bar is my favorite spot in the restaurant! I'm obsessed with the Sea-bass and foraged mushrooms, my friendly typically go with steaks and no complains there. Their cocktails are also fantastic, as well as their starters. Everything on the menu, never been disappointed. Bonus if you can come at sunset, there's usually someone playing the Piano so the ambiance is off the charts. It's on the pricier side for some which makes it percent for special occasions. Service is always incredible, highly recommend!

Yelp
Beautiful spot with a nice ambiance, views, good food and service! I recommend street parking IF you are going during off peak time. Valet parking is recommended if you're coming during peak hours esp on weekends. Just be aware that when they offer validation of parking at the end of your meal, it means whether you want to include the $12 valet charge as part of your bill or separate! :) We went for happy hour on a Tuesday. We arrived as soon as they opened the bar for hh, the area got filled pretty quickly since many folks were coming after work to grab a drink/bite. We got to see the beautiful sunset as we ordered and ate our food! It was amazing. We ordered a couple of the hh cocktails (blueberry lemon drop, french cannon), some beer, and for food we ordered the calamari, burger, mussels, and diablo. Everything was really delicious except for the calamari... it tasted beyond salty. We alerted the staff and they quickly offered to remake the dish for us which was really nice of them. But at this point we didnt want to fill our stomach with more fried stuff (burger + fries were on their way) so we didnt get the 'better' versiok. But im hopeful the second time wouldve been better. We also ordered some non hh item: desserts ! We got one scoop of sorbet, and a regular sized sorbet (2 scoops) and chocolate mousse creme. Pro tip: the 'sorbet' dessert item has two scoops which is $7 on the menu. They also have a half portion which just a scoop of the exact same thing and not on the menu (YET according to our server). The single scoop costs $3. Its kind of funny that they charge additional dollar for the two scoop, because its served on the exact same dish, no special garnish and the scoops are the same size. I guess its the extra labor cost of scooping the icecream. our server actually found this to be pretty funny as well. We had a good laugh off of it. Despite the restaurant being pretty empty overall (unfortunately probably due to covid but also weekday) we were accompanied by live piano music. It was kind of funny because he started playing a super mario underground theme song LOL. We enjoyed it.

Yelp
I give the chef an A-, and the interior designer an F. This place looked pretty tacky and is in desperate need of a renovation. They clearly have changed NOTHING since it opened 25 years ago. The awful stark reds, blues, and lime greens, ouch. Everything is old and gross. Just looking at a structural column you see a million dents. The lime green couches and gaudy light fixtures hurt your eyes. The venue itself is not upscale so please be aware of that. The outside tables are even worse with cheap furniture that maybe a hole in the wall coffee shop would use. The staff was great. Service charge is automatically added for even small parties. The food was quite good! The fresh oysters 10/10, the Caesar salad is performed table side and is a 10/0 (the second best we've ever had!). The drinks were okay. I got the Emperor and it was too sweet and didn't even give me a buzz. My boyfriend got the old fashioned which is smoked table side, which is cool, but he said it just tasted like an average old fashioned. For the entrees, he got the scallops and those were 10/10. Unfortunately my dish was a 4/10, the halibut, which tasted like a mediocre curry dish from a Thai restaurant. I ended up eating most of his entree instead because it was way better.

Yelp
went here for new year's eve and it was so fun and tasty! really great service and fun table side smoked drink, turns out I don't like whiskey lol but it was fun to try! Food was really fast but we never felt rushed. It's super pretty inside! This is a great place for special occasions (or just a fancy weeknight!!). Asparagus starter will be the best asparagus you have eaten!
