My husband & I love picking highly rated, randam diners. Very friendly, cozy restaurant. Had a huge menu. The food was plentiful & of quality. I had the double club, honey had the french toast combo. He left nothing on his plate! We will be back.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Steak and eggs were scrumptious and the biscuits and sausage gravy were delicious. All the meat is smoked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Michelle was perfect and wonderful. Lastly, if you skip out on dessert you are making a monumental, life altering, mistake. Peanut butter and vanilla. I needed a nap after this meal. Worth every penny. On top of all of that, they love veterans and genuinely care about our wellbeing. Will be back again.

First time here and it was a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious and generously portioned. Pancakes were fluffy and huge! The brisket was tasty and our favorite was the meatloaf. Wow, just wow! Our waitress, Sarah, was amazing, very charming, and attentive.

What a great place to eat! We stopped today, didn't check reviews, it just looked appealing. Vickie met us at the door and provided a warm, personal touch for our dining experience. Food is great! Prices are more than reasonable. Portion sizes are more than enough - and almost everything is made onsite! All of that and this team has a real heart for their community, and our veterans. Please stop here for a meal soon!

Suffice it to say, the diner food is amazing! Exactly what I need every few months. The corned beef hash, eggs over easy and a side of 1 giant pancake and endless cup of coffee. I wanted the sausage and gravy but I had no room left in my tummy. I'm a Navy veteran and Michelle made me feel like a VIP (in a very respectful way). This diner is ALL about gathering with friends regardless of you politics and good food! They give back to their community and to Service members. Missing home? ... come here! #payitforward #goodfoodgoodfellowship #29DinerStopSuicide #diner #TipGenerously

The food wasn't bad, though it wasn't anything special. The waitresses are nice and friendly which is always a good point. The food was decent, I ordered a waffle, two eggs, and two sausage links. I asked for the eggs over easy and only one was even moderately runny. The sausage was flavorful and the waffle was okay, I would just prefer to go somewhere else if I'm going to spend $11+ on a single breakfast plate. Granted if I would've ordered pie the place may have redeemed itself but the chair at the counter was off balance and there were people waiting for seats so I didn't feel the need to prolong the visit any longer. My dining partner liked the sausage biscuits and gravy though admittedly there was room for improvement in the gravy's texture as it wasn't much of a gravy. The place does is charming however and I would recommend trying it at least once to form your own opinion, I did over hear a waitress saying they were two staff members short so maybe I just came on the wrong day. May try again if I'm ever in Fairfax past 12am to give it another shot. Its also a Virginia Historic Landmark if anyone is interested in that.

We ate at 29 Diner for the first time, and loved it! The staff is very friendly, and we really liked that the diner supports the local community. It's a great option for breakfast, brunch or a meal. They have 2 smokers outside the diner that are running 24 hours; be sure to try the BBQ. We plan to go back soon...

Small cozy little diner. Despite growing up in Fairfax I just visited here for the first time! Came with my dad and I'm glad we did. The service was incredibly good. We never found ourselves lacking coffee or water and I saw waiters chatting with regulars and non-regulars alike with great interest. The food was pretty good, standard diner fare. Nothing that really blew me away but, it was good nonetheless. Pretty significant portions so expect to leave full. Definitely one of the better places for breakfast food in Fairfax and it certainly doesn't hurt that they support a veterans' program to prevent suicide.
