Edit July 2023: It's been 4 years since my original review (below), and I am happy to say that this café is just as good as it used to be, if not better. Everything is still straight up excellent, but now they have slightly updated their menu with a few more items, there's a whole new seating area, a small ice cream cart outside, and an easier way to call for service on each table with little buttons. They have since won a Falstaff award or two and it is ENTIRELY deserved.
Some of the reviews talk about the coffee being "overrated" or "disappointing" - I see where they're coming from, but I would argue that it's going to be close to impossible to find comparable coffee anywhere in a 25-30 km radius (perhaps Hopfen & Söhne could come close depending on what you like), and the first signs of "real" competition has is in Vienna. Yes, the coffee at places like Kaffeefabrik, Coffee Pirates, or Gota is comparable if not much better (depending on your preferences), but if you want proper third wave coffee with VERY light roasts and VERY fruity extractions, then Vienna is where you want to be. 2Beans is excellent not just in comparison to the competition in a 25km radius, but they do objectively have good roasts for sure.
Original Review (Still valid!)
This is one of the best cafés we've been to, and we're pretty fussy about cafés. The food is excellent and the coffee is definitely third wave grade even though they don't tout themselves as a third wave café (which they really should, considering how good they are and how much attention to detail seems to go into their preps). If you're anywhere around the area, I'd HIGHLY recommend 2Beans!
In the pic: Scrambled eggs with toast (edit July 2023: it's now served with toasted baguette, not toasted sliced bread and IMHO the new variant is much nicer), Salmon with toast, freshly pressed orange juice and a Karlsbader Kanne with the Brasil Santos beans!
Pic 2: Rose Lemonade & Ginger Lemonade.
