I came to this restaurant today and was shocked by how I was treated. I arrived with my trained service dog, who is required for my disability, and was immediately told I could not enter. This is despite the fact that they have a sign on their door clearly stating that service dogs are welcome, and despite federal law (ADA) that requires businesses to allow service animals.
When I politely explained that my dog is a service animal, they still refused entry. This was not only disappointing but also discriminatory. Service dogs are highly trained and protected by law, and no one should have to fight for their legal right to access a public business.
I had been looking forward to dining here, but after this experience, I will not be returning. I hope management takes the time to train staff on the ADA and treat future guests with the respect and inclusion they deserve.
