2nd Jetty Seafood

This place is truly fantastic- we drove over an hour to have dinner here because we were craving fresh seafood and bright flavors. Of course, 2nd Jetty did not disappoint! Our server, Alessandra, was hospitable, kind, attentive, and walked us through the specials patiently. Our food was 10/10 and I appreciate that their wine and beer list is impressive! Even the valet employees were so kind. We look forward to coming back and enjoying this all throughout the summer!

Fresh Seafood and Gluten-Free Friendly! We had an amazing experience at 2nd Jetty Seafood, enjoying all the fresh catches of the day. The bluefin tuna crudo was incredibly fresh, the scallops were out of this world, and the stuffed striper was full of flavor. As someone who is gluten-sensitive, I appreciated how careful they were in accommodating my needs. The staff knew exactly how to handle gluten-free requests, which made dining worry-free. The atmosphere was laid back, but still If you love fresh seafood and need gluten-free options, 2nd Jetty Seafood is a great spot!

Saturday night - party of 10..we were seated promptly in a semi private little area. Drinks were great, food was delicious. Some of the best raw oysters I’ve had and the big bowl of clams and chorizo were incredible. We had to ask for water and beverages a few times before our server actually brought them..not bar drinks..just waters or club sodas she seemed to forget. Our Caribbean plates had no plantains - and that made me sad :-( so when we asked our server she said she would check and I guess she never did because she never answered our question. No plantains for us. The butter cake and key lime pie were yummy, but once again, asked for a coffee and she just never brought it. She may need a little note pad. All in all, love it here, service could be better.

The food was good! The pork belly polenta appetizer was my favorite. I ordered tuna bites and I thought that they were to fishy so I didn't eat them. But it is a good place to go during the summer. The cocktails were good from what I was told.

An absolutely delicious restaurant with an abundance of fresh seafood all cooked beautifully. Plenty of daily specials to choose from so there’s always new items to try. The staff was incredibly personable and helpful with recommendations. Parking can be a bit difficult especially in the summer but there is valet to make the process a bit easier. Highly recommend making reservations and giving it a try.

Nikki was an absolute rockstar and served with grace. The tuna was some of the best I’ve had on the east coast. Every offering from the raw bar was incredibly fresh. Their pork chop was cooked to perfection and the portion size was very generous. Everything was flavored to perfection which didn’t interfere with the flavor of the meat itself. We finished with the butter cake and cheese cake, both were aces! If you haven’t been, DO IT!

We had the Happy Lobster entree which made us “happy”. It was delicious. Friendly staff. The ambiance could be better but there’s usually live music and the food will always make you go back. 4 stars not 5 for lack of aesthetics.

2nd Jetty is a semi-casual eatery that sits between the ocean and the bay in Sea Bright, NJ. We sat on their patio to soak up the sun on one of the last summer nights of September. Service was good, the vibe was cool, and the food was great. Highly recommend the Black and Blue burger. It was nice and juicy, cooked to medium rare served on a sesame seed bun. Also of note are the fish tacos which varies depending on their catch of the day. Looking forward to paying them another visit.

We were recommended to this place a few years ago, but we finally managed to get in. I'm very happy we did. We started off at the bar for a cocktail and service was great. The bartenders were very friendly. We were then seated to some delicious courses. We started off with a few appetizers between the four of us. We shared their famous caviar, tuna spoons, which are delicious and worth getting every single time. We also shared the poke tuna app, SO fresh and good, we had the tuna wontons, they were wow, and we had the tuna crudo. We were amazed at how fresh & smooth the tuna was. For my meal I got the stuffed lobster which was cooked to perfection and I love how they pulled it out and broke it out for you but put it back in. We also tried the halibut dish which was good too if your a halibut fan. We can't wait to go back!

Great Monday night winter happy hour! Deals on Modelos, margaritas and prosecco as well as $2 oysters and $3 fancy oysters. The fancy oysters come topped with wasabi caviar and tomato jam. You can mix and match the fancy oysters and regular any way you like. We ordered the oysters - they were fresh and delicious. I also ordered the Poke of the Day which was a yellow fin tuna poke bowl. The Tuna melted in my mouth and the bowl had the perfect ratio of fish, veggies and sauce. All the servers at the restaurant were bubbly and outgoing. I really enjoyed my experience here and will be back on Mondays for more oysters and margaritas!

Cute place that gets crowded super fast around dinner time, but has a limited menu. My group and I enjoyed the coco loco mussels that came in a delicious sauce with bread. For my main dish I went simple with fish tacos and it did not disappoint. Parking is a bit tricky if you don't get there on time, but otherwise a good vibe.

Great drinks, the best bartenders, so friendly and attentive! I can't say enough about the food. You really have to like seafood to indulge in 2nd Jettys creativity and deliciousness. Everything we had was top-notch. Wedge Salad, crudo of the day, scallop special and linguini and clams. Don't change a things unless you want to add more specials :)

Holy cow !!! My husband and I snagged a last second (2 weeks ago) reservation for this spot and I am embarrassed to admit I've lived in the area for 14 years and never visited this place because I though it was a spot for some terribly fried fish n chips sorta food. Boy was I wrong !!!!! This is gourmet seafood !!! Everything on the menu was fresh, eloquent and delicious!! We had the tuna meatballs and the stuffed crab for apps both were amazing. I had the halibut and hubby had the tuna. Also amazing. For dessert we had the brownie cookie mix and the butter cake. Omg !!! Dying. I was soo soo wrong about the quality of this spot. I can't even remember the last time I gave a five star review. This totally deserves it.

I've been back here several times since my horrible experience. The food the service and valet all did a 360 turn around. The food on my most recent visit this past Sunday was amazing from the tuna spoon to the oysters and last but not least there Fra Diablo. Can't wait to go back. There drinks and service was also spot on.

This small venue in Sea Bright had great seafood. We started with the Careless Navigator, superb shrimp, clams and oysters. The entree was a seared tuna special and it was yummy. We foolishly also ordered dessert, though we were already full. These mostly got boxed for a midnight snack. Service was friendly. Valet parking

I'm not a huge seafood fan but there's plenty here for me to enjoy. They know how to cook lobster so it's not rubbery or stringy, and it's clear they purchase top quality seafood. Service can be a crapshoot, though.

From the minute we got our first round of drinks to our dessert this place delivered deliciousness with every bite! The drinks were well balanced and actually tasted like they had some liquor in them. The apps were amazing the stuffed baked clams (stuffed with scallop, lobster, crab) with delicious sauce were incredible. The crab dip is to die for but would be better if they served it with more bread. Four pieces wasn't enough to finish the dip let alone and if you have over a group of 4 you'll be splitting pieces of bread. The Caribbean plate was delicious (points off for forgetting the plantains!) but the dish overall was yummy. I do wish it would've come on a board like it is usually served as everything was running into each other and there wasn't enough room to navigate the whole dish. The crab stuffed salmon with mashed potatoes was delicious nothing out of this world but definitely good. The fish tacos were swordfish and really tasty both grilled and fried. The grilled fish was covered in blackened seasoning which I happen to love but if you don't like spicy I would warn you to confirm with them whether or not the grilled fish of the day is blackened. Though the tacos tasted good they were extremely unbalanced. Some had tons of toppings others had barely anything on them. The desserts (all $12 each) were all amazing our ranking was: #1 butter cake #2 key like pie #3 cherry crisp #4 brookie The top 3 were all separated by a thin margin we'd have all of those again for sure! The only one we could do without was the brookie it was honestly nothing special and left us wishing we had ordered a second butter cake! The espresso martini was a great compliment to an already delicious meal. The service was decent our waiter forgot to ring in our salad so we missed out on that. The food runner was super nice and very helpful. The outdoor seating area was well lit and well spaced out. The indoor seating is definitely more cramped and less enticing. Overall, we will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect. Particularly the food and service. For starters we had the clams with chorizo and garlic. Could not stop slurping this broth! Clam shells make good spoons by the way. Then had wedge salad which was light and delicious with the bacon and bacon jam. I ate light to leave room for dessert which did not disappoint, a butter cake with ice cream. Crispy outside and sweet and delightful. There are a lot of seafood options and will go back to try more.

Food's good, service is terrible -- zero care to keep customers it seems. Hate that we love the food, but honestly, not worth the deplorable customer service.

From start to finish it was an amazing meal. Our server was fabulous he recommended the Tuna tartar meatballs so good Kimchi rice with seared blue fin tuna and Bok choy ... Caribbean Swordfish with grilled pineapple Let's not forget desert a delicious blueberry tart. Once again 2nd jetty you amazed us! We will be back !

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! can't wait to come back! The chef cooks something different always and the menu remains small and changes but they cook with so much precision,detail, love and flavor that you just want to give this business all your money, love and support. Their drinks are really good too also made with precision. Can't say anything bad the server was great super friendly and casual. Place is pretty small so make a reservation! Also it's pretty busy. Many more people finding out about this awesome hidden gem!

I had an amazing dining experience at 2nd Jetty! The ambiance was perfect, and the service was outstanding. I tried the Sonnie Miles drink, which was refreshing and expertly crafted. It wasn't too sweet which was a plus for me! We started with the pirate platter which was delicious! The oysters were unforgettable. For my meal, I had the tuna crudo, and it was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dessert left me speechless, we got a warm blueberry pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I gasped at how sweet and tarty it was. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch seafood, dessert, and a great atmosphere!

What a difference from our last visit last summer. We had a reservation for 7 pm for 5 people on a Friday night. Short wait for the table (outside close to the entrance). Ordered drinks and 2 appetizers along with dinner. Food came out at 8:30. 5 stuffed clams for $25. Very very small clams on the half shell. Fish taco way too salty, sent it back. Two scallop dinners were very nice but I felt it needed more of an accompaniment because by 8:30 we were starving. The two tuna dinners were described as sesame encrusted tuna steak but came out as 4 small slices and NO sesame seeds. Asked the waitress - they ran out of sesame seeds. The kitchen I assume is the same size but the number of tables, diners, inside and out has increased 4 fold. Maybe a week night or when it's cold out we may try it again. 4 Adults and 1 child. $343 plus tip and I left hungry.

I used to really like this place but customer service is horrific. I cancelled my reservation 24 hours in advance and was charged $120 anyways. I have called multiple times, mostly they don't answer the phone but when I finally did speak with someone, I asked if the manager would please call me back so I could share the text and confirmation that I had cancelled 26 hours in advance - I was very polite, even though really annoyed. Nothing - no call back one week later, and cannot reach anyone live on the phone. I really don't have time to chase this down but will NEVER go here again and caution anyone who might need to cancel a reservation because they're just going to charge you anyway.

Dinner Friday night was amazing. Perfect weather, outside seating, food was delicious from the starters, main course and dessert. Alexis our server was spot on. Had command of the menu and was nice and professional throughout our dinner. Looking forward to returning soon.

Drinks we're out of this world. Can't say enough about the bartender and how jovial he was. We sat at the chefs tablet inside. What an amazin experience. I had the Lobster. They cooker it perfectly. My Sister had the big eye ahi tuna that was just caught the morning of. It had the most captivating tastes. Easily the best seafood in the Monmouth County area!

Unbelievable food. The place itself is rundown because they don't own it, but the food is top shelf and the preparation and presentation is beyond anything it's beyond most restaurants it's beyond beyond.!

Never been here before and will so be back. The food was great and please if you get a chance to have Maura as a server you will LOVE her. Was able to give you all the specials without looking at any notes, knowledgeable kind and very attentive....5 stars

Appetizers were great ! Presentation exquisite! Halibut special beautifully presented , fish could have been seasoned a bit more and a smidge over cooked. The salsa underneath was tasty and clean. Seafood Fra Diavlo was plentiful and not too Spicy!

How did I just find out about this place? What a gem in Seabright New Jersey! Loved this place and it's laid back decor. Great service and the food was spectacular! We started with the spicy calamari. It was so fresh and tender with just the right amount of heat from the peppers. Fried to perfection. Delicious! Now for the show stopper "The salmon" this was the best piece of Salmon that I've ever had. It was so fresh and it was bursting with so many different flavors. The presentation was stunning and it was a pure delightful for my taste buds. The chef put a lot of thought into this dish and it shows. Loved the puréed beet sauce and the broiled cashew crusted top was just amazing. I swear, If I had to choose one dish as my last meal this would be it. It was heavenly! I can't wait to return and order this dish again. I'm sorry I didn't discover this restaurant earlier. The chef is a culinary genius. Bravo!

Made reservation a week in advance ...had to provide credit card guarantee..but waited a half hour standing next to the bathroom in a crowded bar for the table. Finally given a wobbly table sandwiched between other tables that had chairs that kept banging into each other. Appetizer orders were brought staggered so we weren't eating at the same time. Lobster, which cost $80 (found out when bill came), was served with old corn on the cob and the wrong side. Rest of the meal was good which must be the only explanation for the crowded restaurant (is there nowhere else in Sea Bright for good food and service?) They have a sign at the front, "This is not the Hamptons' which should read, 'We only charge like the Hamptons'. Outrageously overpriced, uncomfortable ..felt ripped off when I left.

Oysters and shrimp were both very fresh! I got the surf and turf which the steak was cooked perfectly and a great proportion. I do wish they gave more scallops I believe there were only 3 on my plate. Other than that very happy with my meal!

absolutely everything we had was amazing. We had the tuna burger, swordfish with the Caribbean plate, crab and lobster bisque, and fries. Even the fries were fresh! The staff were all so friendly and you can tell that they really like the place, even the valet parking attendant. We will definitely be going back!

Probably the best seafood I have had! The service was amazing, my waitress always made sure everything was perfect. She even made sure I loved my wine or she would take it off the bill. The FOOD was the main star of the show. We started off with oysters which was phenomenal; we also had some of the special. I had salmon stuffed with crab and was the best fish I've had in a while! 100% will be going again.

From beginning to the end was fabulous! Can't wait to go back. Service was excellent food was incredible and creative. The music and atmosphere was fantastic and everyone was happy and smiling and friendly. Fun fun fun. Then cross the street and take a walk on the beautiful beach.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area. The food is fresh and always amazing. The same goes for the drinks. The staff exceeds all expectations and the vibe....let's just say ....every time I go( and I go every chance I get!) I feel like I left New Jersey for a couple hours and landed in a special little tropical island for dinner. It truly is my happy place . Don't change a thing! However if you could make the bar larger that would be a bonus.

I was there yesterday evening for dinner. I ordered a burger with American cheese instead of Gorgonzola cheese. I asked for it to be cooked medium well, and the meat itself was slightly burnt. However, the burger bun was highly burnt and those two put together made it a very unsettling meal. The service was excellent though. Our server was very polite, understanding, and he was quick with our orders. The cook(s) at the restaurant are a different story. If something happened or there was an emergency okay that's understandable, but if not there is no excuse why an experienced and trained cook can't make a simple cheeseburger. I'm sorry to say I don't plan on coming back any time soon if I can't even have a simple burger for dinner.

I enjoyed my experience with 2nd Jetty The fish is as fresh as it gets, the preparation is very imaginative. I enjoyed their Tuna steak which was seared and sliced over edamame and wasabi purée. The dish was accompanied by seaweed salad which finished the dish nicely. My wife had the linguine in Clam sauce, the dish was loaded with fresh clams in the shell, well executed. My guests both had the Mahi dinner specials which both looked beautiful, reviews were positive. Service was outstanding. I felt the prices were a bit out of line, what may have been an 8 oz portion of Tuna was Approx $38 One Mahi special was $41 No bread was offered to the table nor did the Pasta dish come with bread or a crostini. Prior to deciding how the bill would be paid there was a $5 service fee, when we inquired about it the waitress said it was for the use of a credit card. Here's the thing, the waitress didn't know how the bill would be paid nor did I see mention of this policy on the menu. One cocktail, 1 glass of wine, 2 soft drinks and 4 entrees came to $194..... If are you seeking fresh seafood with imaginative preparation I recommend 2nd Jetty...be prepared to pay.

Have wanted to try this place for a few weeks now but always busy when I've gotten there. Now I know why. The food and service here is excellent. Our server Alexis was very helpful and explained all the specials as well which fish was served w the regular menu items (some dishes get different fish depending on what's fresh). What we loved initially about this place is after a day at the beach this place had excellent outdoor seating w live music (outdoor seating fills up quickly during this time of the year), but what will have us coming back is their excellent food and service. A side note, I do believe they take reservations, but we are never exactly sure when we are going to leave the beach so I haven't tried to make one. Couldn't put a description of the fish special w pic so here it is. Pan roasted swordfish on a bed of black bean purée with crispy plantain and sautéed spinach and a pineapple jalapeño sauce. Executed very well.

My husband and I were visiting some close friends on the Jersey shore and they suggested 2nd Jetty for dinner. Upon initial outward impression, 2nd Jetty looks like your typical Jersey shore, seafood, casual dining restaurant. Located at the junction of a couple of bridges/highway overpasses with outdoor seating expanded into the parking lot it's fairly nondescript. But then the food arrives, and oh my goodness this is definitely the best seafood I've had on the Jersey shore to date! Highlights include...every single thing that we ordered. We started with the tuna meatballs which were plump and flavorful. The accompanying seaweed salad provided a nice salty - umami balance to the dish. We also ordered a couple dozen clams that were fresh and delicious. The calamari was crunchy, golden, fried deliciousness. The crudo was a piece of artwork with nearly every color of the rainbow artfully plated. It was a bright, acidic dish that was thoroughly refreshing. Now onto the main course, the Whole Lobster Fra Diavolo over linguine. First of all, the portions just don't make any sense, and I mean this in the absolutely best way possible. They give you so much actual seafood, including lobster, shrimp, mussels, and clams that you forget that it is actually a pasta dish! The tomato-based sauce is rich with a slightly spicy kick, but does not overpower the native flavor of the fresh seafood. Bravo well done! The seafood tacos also looked amazing. Unfortunately, I don't know for sure because my husband was so busy wolfing down the tacos that he forgot to share. I guess that's a testament to great food, lol. We ended with absolutely rich and decadent desserts, a blondie and a peanut butter and chocolate pretzel, both smothered with cool vanilla ice cream. Mmmm On another note the service was phenomenal. Our waiter was personable, friendly and attentive. I'm so glad my friends took us to this spot. Next time we're hanging out on the Jersey shore we will definitely have go back.

This is a must-go place if you ever go to sandy hook or nearby!! From the outside this place looks like a typical unassuming seafood restaurant that would serve the typical raw bars, lobster rolls, fish tacos etc... They do serve all the above BUT their menu also has a ton of daily specials which are very unique and tasty. We got the Ahi Tuna Tostones which taste heavenly! I would never have thought these two things would go together, props to the chef here. Their coco mussels dish is fantastic as well. All in all, highly recommended!

Felt like family! Had a wonderful meal outside with my friends on Saturday. I'm gluten free and I know I can ask a lot of a server. Donny was wonderful! He knew the ins and out of dishes and when he didn't know an answer he found out for us! We had such a great time chatting with him & his sisters as well. Not to mention/ the food! Everything was plated perfectly, looked like art & tasted even better. We look forward to going back many times.

Was super excited to try this place based on other's reviews. Service was extremely slow (waiter was young and nice). Food was mediocre. My food was underdone but server didn't come back to check for so long that it wasn't worth sending back. My husband's starter was excellent but other than that, I won't be back. Tap water also tasted off.

The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is gorgeous. Been going to 2nd jetty for years now and have also ordered take out many times. Always a great meal!! Service is great as well. I highly recommend the tuna poke and the corvina. The La Playa platter is our absolute favorite!!
