I've been a patron of 2Tarts since it's opened in 2010. I remember when the store front only had a few tables and then it became a regular hangout spot, and they had to get more tables. I think they've lowered how much seating is inside since COVID, and they focus more on to-go orders.
When it comes to the baked goods, they're amazing. Everything I've had from there has been delicious. Some of my favorite things over the years have been the fruit tart, red velvet cupcake, and the chocolate peanut butter pie. Some things are in the case daily, but they rotate out special items as well. They make a lot of their revenue in catering, so the storefront isn't as prominent.
Let's talk about pricing--this place is not cheap. I was floored by their prices when they first opened, but you are ordering premiere baked goods. This isn't a sheet cake from HEB, after all.
I do not recommend the coffee--every time I've gotten a coffee from there, the milk has been burned. Walk to Crosswalk or NB Coffee to get one instead.
This gem has been an NB dessert staple for years, and will only continue to be popular. Ashley, one of the owners, just won a competition on the Food Network, so this place is starting to get national attention. Definitely worth going to, but I'm not sure I would laud it as hard as some people.
