Google
2tarts Bakery in New Braunfels is seriously the cutest little spot and it gives total happy vibes the second you walk in. It’s for sure one my absolute favorite places to get a treat!! Everything is so colorful and fun and the staff are always super sweet :) this time, I got a cinnamon roll and it was gooey and buttery in the best way, and their cupcakes are basically little bites of heaven. The fact that they serve coffee too makes it even better because you can grab a latte and a treat and just hangout with friends. If you’re ever visiting new braunfels or live here and haven’t tried it here yet I highly recommend!!!! ☺️

Google
First time to new braunfels and we took a stroll around the circle looking for breakfast spot with outdoor seating. Settled on 2Tarts and it was yummy! I tried the banana bread, tasted moist and delicious like it was just baked. They even warmed it up! We got hot lattes, white mocha and regular mocha, they were equally delicious not too sweet. Absolutely would eat here again. Mahalo!

Google

Google
2tarts has been nothing but amazing regarding every cake that I ever ordered from them. They were no doubt the bakery I was going to use for our wedding cake and they were amazing as always! I had a very unique idea for my wedding cake and they were so excited to work on it. They communicated with me very well throughout the entire process and were more than willing to add any changes I decided to make to my order. I feel like they nailed my dream wedding cake absolutely perfectly. The design was absolutely gorgeous, with every single detail that we asked for; and our cake flavors were spot on as well! They helped us with getting a breakfast order ready for pick-up the morning of the wedding too, and I was also able to get my MIL a gluten-free cupcake so she could enjoy some sweets as well. They are very helpful with any dietary restriction!! We live out of state (Iowa) but they made the entire process absolutely seamless and communicated with us every step of the way. We look forward to using them again when we are back in Texas!

Google
2 Tarts Bakery in New Braunfels offers a fun and inviting atmosphere, but our recent visit left us with mixed impressions. We sampled the Coconut Macaroon and Almond Thumbprint Cookie, both of which fell short of expectations, especially given the bakery’s reputation and recognition on Food Network. The flavors didn’t quite come together, and the bakes were dry and tough on the bite. However, the clear standout was the Éclair, which delivered on taste and texture, balancing sweetness with a light, creamy filling. While not every treat impressed, the bakery’s charm and the quality suggest it’s still worth visiting for select desserts.

Google
2tarts amazing.....with just recently relocating to the area, my sweet tooth got a hold of me on Saturday July 27th at 9:30pm. Made the trek from San Macros to NB, not far at all. Evelyn greeted us, awesome individual, top shelf. She explained to us a couple of the pastries and of course we bought them. Then another employee didn't get her name mentioned a chocolate sheet cake that was dairy free....OMG amazing. Actually everything was amazing. We got them to go. I have attached pictures for your reference. Definitely my new go to place for my sweet tooth cure.

Google
The pastries here taste really good! We had a gluten free member in our party and ordered the gluten free macaroons and cupcake, which were super delicious! There were plenty of pastries available even though we arrived near to closing time. The decor is adorable. Overall, it's a lovely place to get a treat and coffee.

Google
My family and I visited 2tarts after eating at Scores. It was the perfect dessert for the night. We came around 9pm and it was pretty quiet. The servers also helped us with any questions we had about the flavors of the treats.

Yelp
What a daring little bakery. I was feeling like a little dessert, but at 9pm, what's going to be open, certainly not a bakery. Bakery close early or when inventory runs out. Not usually open late at night. Was so happy that 2Tarts was open, not only open at 9pm, but actually open til 10am. It was very obvious that this was the place to be. Even at 9pm there were about 7 people there. And a few people came in after us as well. There is street parking, which was easy to find a spot. I think there may have been a small parking lot on the side, but I'm not sure if it's for another business. The store is packed with all kinds of decorative candles, party supplies, stationary items, and even socks! Really fun to look around and take it all in. It was late, so the inventory was a little low. They had some cupcakes, cookies, and cheesecake! I'm here for the cheesecake. I got the New York Cheesecake. Velvety Chocolatey, really rich and satisfying. Hit the spot for dessert.

Yelp
This place is da bomb for desserts and baked items. I stopped in to see what it was all about and I think my hemoglobin A1C went up before I even ordered l. Really large selection of pies, cupcakes, etc and very professionally prepared and presented. Nice decor too. I had a slice of the banana biscoff cream pie. First bite.. amazing. Texture, flavor, eye appeal, all 10. As I worked on it I wished I had a friend to eat 1/2 because it's definitely filling. Somehow I managed to scarf it down. Amazingly good stuff. I'll come back after I work off the calories.

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled on 2tarts Bakery and decided to pop in. The shop has a cozy, quirky vibe with a gorgeous display case full of colorful, tempting treats. It was tough to choose, but I went with a lemon tarte and my friend grabbed a cookie and a latte. Everything was fresh, rich, and made with care. The cookies had that perfect chewy-crisp texture. Their coffee drinks were on point too! The staff was super friendly and you could tell this is a spot loved by locals. It made for such a nice little stop to break up the drive. Definitely recommend if you're in the area or passing through, it's worth the detour!

Yelp
I rarely post poor reviews but it just wasn't good. First off no treats were labeled. And many items were not obvious on what they were. We did ask the girl that served us whom was nice about it. I got the key lime pie slice and a decorated sugar cookie. The cookie was hard as a rock , possibly the worse I ever had. My husband got a regular cookie which was equally horrible. The key lime was the best part , but I ate it like a handheld item because there was no way the plastic fork was gonna penetrate the hard crust. We paid $20 for 2 cookies , a slice of pie and a cup cake. Trash was overflowing and all tables were dirty. We visited on a Sunday afternoon so I wouldn't expect these conditions on a weekend.

Yelp
If you find yourself in New Braunfels you have to make it to 2 Tarts Bakery. The area is open and welcoming, as you walk in you can see the pastries showcased for display or to entice you to try them all. The bakers answer all the questions and give their recommendations. I tried the apple pie slice and it was as expected very decadent. They have options if a cake is needed for a special occasion with a tasting room so you'll know what you will be ordering. The inside is open and plenty of space to sit and a few seats outside to enjoy the view. But if a pastry is needed I approve this place.

Yelp
Cute little shop in New Braunfels! I tried the Cookies and Cream Cupcake and the Ferrero Rocher Macaron. Cookies and Cream Cupcake - Pretty standard--chocolate base with cookies and cream frosting. While it wasn't bad, it also wasn't anything unique. Honestly, I don't think I would have been able to tell if it came from HEB or a bakery, which was a little disappointing. Ferrero Rocher macaron - Great flavor profile and really captured the flavors of a Ferrero Rocher. The texture could have been a bit crispier, but the flavor made up for it. Overall, it's a cute spot with decent treats, but nothing that really stood out to me.

Yelp
I took a ride to San Marcos to pick up a few items from the farmers market. As I was leaving I saw "2tarts Bakery" and my weakness for pastries put me in auto-pilot. I turned around and was lucky enough to find a parking spot in front of the door. The line was pretty long but moved pretty fast as well. There was also quite a few people seated at tables as well as outside enjoying the food. They had tons of pastry options to choose from! I decided on a few and a vanilla latte to match. I perused the bakery to discover the scrumptious cakes that they also offer in wedding style and beautiful celebratory style as well. My order was ready pretty fast and I absolutely enjoyed them all on my drive back to San Antonio. I am so glad that I stumbled across this place and it will be a mandatory stop for the next times that I go to or through San Marcos.

Yelp
2tarts has amazing assortment of baked goods. I tried the lemon lavender blueberry cheesecake. WOW!!! Blew me out of the water. It's creamy, rich, with a great balance of flavor. Their lemonades are also delicious. They are tart and NOT heavily sweetened. I definitely recommend this bakery to all newcomers to this quaint little city.

Yelp
We love stopping in to 2Tarts! Every dessert we've tried has been amazing! I think their pie slices are my favorite, my favorite being the Blueberry-Lavender, followed by the PB&choc! The lattes are delicious too ! Cute shop with lots of sweet gift/party items . It's ALWAYS hoppin' but dont let that deter you. The line moves quick!
google avatar

Bethany F.

Yelp
Equally beautiful and delicious. We travel to NB twice a year, once to float in the summer and again for Wurst Fest in the fall. 2Tarts is consistently a favorite stop while in town. The coffee is delicious and the baked goods are such a treat. This time, I tried the savory blueberry sausage biscuit. It was not shaped like a traditional biscuit. It was more like a sausage ball (those holiday appetizers) with blueberry glaze. It was pretty unique but I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Yelp
Love this little cute spot in new Braunfels, they are always friendly, helpful and give amazing recommendations. Service is quick, fast and the treats are amazing!!

Yelp
The sales agent from Coventry Home brought me here when she finished lunch in April 2025 timeframe. I was so impressed that I started coming regularly and invited my daughter, who was also impressed. On my last visit with my pup, I bought 7 dessert items and asked if my pup could get a pup cup. Normally, it's just a small container of whipped cream, nothing fancy or elaborate. It was a hot day and we had walked that area, exploring. The sales girl said she had to ask the manager, who said it would cost $2.50. C'mon! I just bought 7 desserts and had been coming there at least once every other week since moving to New Braunfels May 2025. Their desserts are expensive but I thought they were good. It would've kept me coming but after that, no more. That one unkind response killed my mood and appetite for their desserts. They don't want or deserve my business.

Yelp
I used to love 2 tarts. The workers are always so sweet and kind to my 88yo mother. One evening we bought slices of cake. They were dry, and not really up to par. The next Saturday we tried them again and bought a slice of cake each. I did not finish it, one of their holiday specialty flavor and didn't enjoy it much . That's ok about the adventurous flavor but the cake was dry again! Not sure if cake slices are day old ( no sign saying this ) . each time it was BOGO. The latte was good. I'm going to take a break from 2 tarts and try again in the future. Which is sad because can't think of any other bakery that sells cake by the slice

Yelp
Quick take on 2tarts: great selection and quality baked goods in a jumping little venue. I really love their cupcakes, not only for the variety of flavors but for the fact they are the "baby bear" of cupcakes, not too big or small but just the right size. Their buttercream frosting is very light and not overly sweet. The store also has an eclectic selection of knickknacks so it's definitely worth a visit. Recommended.

Yelp
Always busy because it's always delicious! Parking: We have always been able to get a street parking spot right in front. Even on mother's day morning we had no issue. That being said, I don't know if there are any alternatives to street parking Seating: They have a few 2-3 top tables outside on the sidewalk and several 4 tops inside. So you can definitely stay and eat, though I don't find the ambiance to be the best for that just because of how busy it gets. Selection: They have a huge selection from cookies, cakes, and cupcakes to breakfast options (kolaches and quiches). They also have pretty good coffee ! All their food is delicious but very sweet too. They also have a lot of party decor items like candles, plates, cards, etc. They're all unique and very cute. Wait time: You can move through pretty quickly if you're just getting food. If you get coffee and it's busy, you may need to wait a bit Price: I find the prices can be a bit high, but all their items are large and great quality so it does feel fair.

Yelp
My girlfriend really wanted to try this place, since she saw that the owner was on a television show she liked. We decided to try it out since we were in the area. The place is in downtown area and is easy to find with decent parking. Once inside you get a nice little cafe vibe with the sweet smell of various sweets in the air. The employees are cheerful and the rush of excitement hits you with all the options to choose from. There is so much to choose from and the employees are very helpful with the description of each sweet. There is also coffee and other drinks to choose from and the selections are vast. The only small downfall is that it is pricey, and the to go boxes are huge! So be prepared. Other than that we do come here often to try all the variety of sweets.

Deb P.

Yelp
Went in to this quaint lil place and instantly received glaring looks. I ordered a slice of pecan pie and a cinnamon roll the young woman helping me was not friendly didn't greet just simply took my request proceeded to take the items to check out and the cashier was stand offish and absolutely not friendly just charged me and that's it. I am a Latino person and I have never felt this type of unwelcoming behavior here in New Braunfels I come here every other weekend for shops, farmers markets and parks. This establishment will not discourage me from visiting however I will not be returning which I'm sure they would be grateful for as well.

Yelp
Great pastries and cookies. Excellent customer service. Good selection including cakes and pies.

Yelp
First time swinging by from out of town. The bakery was so beautiful & had the cutest vibe to it. It was very chill with great customer service. I asked multiple questions & didn't feel like I was being a bother. The choices were endless but I picked 1 strawberry cupcake & 1 biscoff cupcake - both were DIVINE. Highly highly recommend.

Emma M.

Yelp
First visit to this bakery! I remember watching the owner win the baking show and finally got to try a couple of things that we took home. Key lime pie was great! Cinnamon roll was hard and dry as the desert! Had to toss it out. I think it must have been sitting out for a week or so. So disappointed. Unfortunately the girl behind the counter also lacked some friendliness and personality.

Yelp
Find somewhere better. The banana cookie butter pie was out of this world, and the banana bread was solid. Everything else was sadly not good. I went with my fiancé, our niece and her friend, and we definitely had gotten our hopes up given the owner won the food network competition. This was a very clear reminder that those shows are for entertainment and have nothing to do with quality cooking. The girls got a cinnamon roll (dry), banana bread, and a couple cupcakes (very dry and likely a few days old). My fiancé and I shared a bean empanada and pig in a poncho. The bean empanada was really bland. Why is it so hard for people to flavor their beans?!? And the pig in a poncho was super dry. The sausage was great but the dough it was wrapped in was so thick and dry and crumbly, you couldn't get it down without drinking something. The coffee was.. fine. Nothing special there, but unfortunately they were out of straws. They served us all iced coffees with lids and no straws. The coffees were so full that when we tried to get one of the lids off it spilled everywhere. We ended up having to stop at a gas station to get straws. The service was fine. The ladies were friendly but didn't smile much.

Cp P.

Yelp
This place has lost its charm!! I purchased a 6" yellow cake with chocolate buttercream and it was not good! Presentation was nice I guess but no one like it. Definitely not worth the money spent. The cake was extremely dry and butter cream literally would break off the cake. That's how dry and old it seemed. It didn't seem like it was fresh at all. It must have been days old. Again, I am disappointed in the quality and the money I wasted on this cake that ended up in the trash. It was way overpriced. It's a rip off honestly!
google avatar

Theresa M.

Yelp
I ordered coffee and their peanut butter pie covered in chocolate. Good for those with sweet tooth and loves peanut butter. But recommend to share with someone. Too sweet to finish all by yourself. Support local businesses. This is one of them. Charming little place that also sell some cute knick knacks.
google avatar

Dwan J.

Yelp
Everything I try at 2tarts Bakery is 5. Treat Yourself and head over there. You won't be disappointed!!

Brok V.

Yelp
Had a very bad experience with quality of product and customer service. My family went to get pastries to go, when they got in the car and started eating they found insects in the pastries, not on top or in the bag but inside the actual dough. They took them back with the insects found in the food. The workers were not helpful and only offered to pick another pastry which my kids didnt want due to the begs from the last ones. Nothing was checked for the contamination and nothing was pulled from the case. They ended up refunding our order via a gift card a couple days later. We usually go here and get pastries for family events. Working in retail/ customer service this experience was not handled well. Check your food before eating it.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Latte was great but they sold me 2 VERY old cookies. I know the economy isn't great and they are saving money where they can but come on...hard snickerdoodle cookies??
google avatar

Ian S.

Yelp
Gift shop part has some cool things - the jewelry, for instance, is clever. The treats vary in terms of quality. As one of our friends said, you're paying for the ambiance. As mentioned in other reviews, the key lime pie is solid, but the flourless chocolate was a let down. Had no idea that a cup of water was going to cost $1.50, but it does, apparently. Counter service was pleasant and it's nice that it doesn't close at 8 on a Thursday. TL;DR: it'll do in a pinch, but not all of the goods are created equally.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
Well I had watched the Spring Baking championship season where the owner had won. So of course I wanted to try her place and support local. The ambiance was very cute and quaint. There was a big line and the only options left were what was in the case. We did not get there early enough to snag what we were really craving. Now we know. I think my favorite thing we tried was the mixed berry crumble bars. The fillings of the lemon bar and key lime pie were good, however the crust on the lemon bars was so hard I could not cut it for my son. The chocolate torte slice my daughter picked was good, but it is definitely for someone who likes dark chocolate. Over all I am glad I could check the box and say I have been. But if we come back it will be nice and early to nab some savory breakfast.
google avatar

Aida P.

Yelp
My daughter picked this bakery as she was in the mood for something sweet. I am so glad she found this place. It's a cute bakery in New Braunfels that we had not tried yet and we always go cafe hunting. We must have arrived just before rush hour because it got packed super quick! The employees are so nice and patient. They have vegan and gluten free options and that was a plus! The cookies tasted great (that's what my girls said) and the cupcakes were "tasty". It was so tasty we actually got some more to go! Price wise it is what you would expect for a bakery, though some may not be wanting to pay $4 for a cupcake; to those I say "support your local small business". This is definitely a place we look forward to returning to.
google avatar

Icel C.

Yelp
Oh I wanted to love this place and was so excited to visit it since we followed the winner on Holiday championship. It was an okay bakery. Cupcakes were on the small size. I ordered a dirty chai and it was really bad. Out of the 5 things we ordered only one of them was good. The store itself is super cute lots of pretty candles and party supplies if i was in the area I would pop in again and try something else.
google avatar

Lo L.

Yelp
Adorable bakery! Fantastic breakfast options! Our group had the Chorizo Fritatta, Coffee Cake, Pig in a Pancho (big sausage however), Cookies & Cream Scone, Vanilla Latte! Everything looked divine. New favorite!
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
Wonderful! So many pastry choices as well as a nice selection gluten-free pastries! The gluten free chocolate coffee cake is absolutely out of this world. One of the best pastries I've ever eaten! Moist and fudgey but not overly sweet. With a delicious cinnamon crunch crumble. My son had a cinnamon roll and said it was delicious! As was the Americano. Such a cute little place! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Lauren G.

Yelp
This is a local favorite. I had been once years ago. Once I saw the owner win the holiday backing championship I knew I needed to come back. There is a boutique quality to the store as they have merch and super cute birthday supplies. The tiramisu cup was to die for. The cream was the best I have ever had.It was packed with flavor and the chocolate cake crumples made it that much better. The coffee compliments the chocolate well and it was not overwhelmingly sweet.WE WILL BE BACK!!
google avatar

Deb B.

Yelp
The gluten-free treats are amazing, but the prices are way too much. I have never paid such high prices for gluten-free
google avatar

Penny G.

Yelp
The best pie I've ever had! Try their strawberry pie. Tastes fluffy and light like mousse but full of flavor. Absolute perfection. Cupcakes are also delicious. Cutest place and decor too.

Yelp
I've been a patron of 2Tarts since it's opened in 2010. I remember when the store front only had a few tables and then it became a regular hangout spot, and they had to get more tables. I think they've lowered how much seating is inside since COVID, and they focus more on to-go orders. When it comes to the baked goods, they're amazing. Everything I've had from there has been delicious. Some of my favorite things over the years have been the fruit tart, red velvet cupcake, and the chocolate peanut butter pie. Some things are in the case daily, but they rotate out special items as well. They make a lot of their revenue in catering, so the storefront isn't as prominent. Let's talk about pricing--this place is not cheap. I was floored by their prices when they first opened, but you are ordering premiere baked goods. This isn't a sheet cake from HEB, after all. I do not recommend the coffee--every time I've gotten a coffee from there, the milk has been burned. Walk to Crosswalk or NB Coffee to get one instead. This gem has been an NB dessert staple for years, and will only continue to be popular. Ashley, one of the owners, just won a competition on the Food Network, so this place is starting to get national attention. Definitely worth going to, but I'm not sure I would laud it as hard as some people.
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
Based on the two items I ordered and service received, this is a 5/5 place based on my one-time experience. I was getting things done in New Braunfels and instantly remembered my friend recommending this bakery with amazing cheesecake filling years ago (double checked, it was 2019). Checked Yelp and delighted to know they are open! It was out of question that I had to visit right away. I did expect amazing pie and coffee but what I didn't expect was how cute this place is! Also, super friendly helpful patient baristas dealing with my indecisiveness, explaining theres no cheesecake on Mondays unless it was custom ordered (reason to revisit). But it's okay, I found that pretty strawberry cream pie laying in the showcase displaying it's beauty and tempting me to try it. I did not resist and welcomed it wholeheartedly to enter my belly. If you like fresh cream and strawberries, this pie is for you. This pie was made for me and you. So delicious with a slight tartness to balance out the sweetness. Would definitely stop by whenever in town.

Yelp
This is a nice little bakery that bakes a mean cupcake. Always fresh and never dry. Great flavors to choose from. Affordable. So good.

E A.

Yelp
We went on a late Thursday night around 9pm. The selection of sweets was great! We decided to get a red velvet cupcake and a lemon cupcake, they were ok. I felt they weren't moist at all. But we also got 2 cheesecakes and those were great! It was a chocolate covered NY cheesecake and a strawberry cheesecake. We also got some cool pens that we thought were fun. The service was also great and the bakery was very cute.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful sweets & good coffee/latte! Good spot to people watch too. I'll just keep typing until I hit 85 word's or mare, jeez. It's good, great experience, not much more to say. Thanks

Yelp
Went today and got their vanilla cupcake w berries on top. It was really yummy. All the workers were super nice and service was quick! Also a super cute shop if you're looking for something to do downtown in new Braunfels:)

Gigi M.

Yelp
I have visited a couple of times and stopped going due to the following. First of all you walk in and there's no prices, names or descriptions on any of there desserts. When you ask the employee a question about the ingredients/ taste of the desserts they always seemed annoyed. Some desserts are not sweet enough, too small or extremely overpriced. I'm tired of their high prices/mediocre desserts/poor customer service. I won't be going back!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Such a cute bakery, friendly folks... with delicious treats! I tried the Strawberry Rice Krispie treat and loved that it had actual strawberries in it, not that artificial flavoring taste. There were quite a few people in our group and everyone enjoyed it.
google avatar

Veronica Pagán B.

Yelp
I love 2Tarts bakery! They have such a great selection of treats and coffees, there is something for everyone. I always get the thumb prints because they are gluten-free made with almond flour. I get one of each, raspberry and apricot. I got the dirty chia which is a chai latte with a shot of espresso, and though the flavor was very good, it wasn't very hot. I also got a bit too much foam and not enough of the drink which was a bit of a bummer. They are such a cute interior dining area with great gift items and party decor. They have cakes ready to go and you can order custom cakes also. I don't live in New Braunfels but am there a few times a year for business and they are the best!
google avatar

Lee T.

Yelp
Constantly disappointed in the quality/price of the food. This time I ordered cupcakes. They were around $5 ea but were extremely tiny. Smaller than what I would have prepared at home. I ordered online so I didn't see the size in advance but if I had, I would never had purchased them.
google avatar

Ivette V.

Yelp
Perfect! Amazing for every day, but if u need a stunning cake for your wedding or event, this is the place to go! The customer service is like no other!!! They are extremely helpful and work with you on every detail. Our cakes were amazing, gorgeous and delicious.

Yelp
The food five stars the service definitely five stars And the ambience five stars! They also have a gluten-free option which my kiddos were very happy about!

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast food and coffee in downtown New Braunfels. Stop by and you'll be happy.

Yelp
Honest confession, I love bakeries and 2tarts did not disappoint. I met the owner going in one day and I loved that this was a female owned local business. The ambiance is so cute and gives you a warm welcoming feeling. The menu had lots of options but I landed on a breakfast empanada that was filled with buffalo chicken filling. Alongside that I ordered a chai tea latte and wasn't disappointed. Everything here was delicious and had me craving to come back soon. This bakery is top tier and I highly suggest coming here if you're in the mood for a delectable pastry.
