High quality food with interesting coffees & healthy drinks. I had bun tam bi and my partner had the sausage banh mi. Both were made with TLC and tasted great. Then got Vietnamese coffee with light condensed milk(not too sweet) and rau ma(earthy nasturtium taste) to go. There was only one person working in there so I suggest going there when you're not in a hurry. This neighborhood needs more places like this. Wholesome delicious restaurants with friendly vibes. Only 2 tables in there so it's good for a couple small groups or takeout.

Amazing place to get food and coffee! The coffee is personally my favorite, I like coffee to have me up and going and this one does not disappoint! Beautifully made and very delicious!! I Come here as much as I can and never disappoints!

This place is so special and I can’t believe I haven’t been here yet. I tried the banh canh, chao and the sardine banh mi. Everything was so delicious in a way that felt like a hug.

I highly recommend the excellent Vietnamese Sandwiches. This is a clean and comfortable space, with a relaxing atmosphere. I wish the place had longer opening hours, and a more consistent and slightly bigger menu.

Hole in the wall perfection. Very small menu of the day makes me feel like I’m in a friend’s home. I wish i could buy the shrimp noodle soup broth by the gallon.

This hole in the wall is a gem. Feeling very lucky to have Paulette in the neighborhood. Small menu that changes every day makes it feel really special. The food is made with care and great ingredients. Can't wait to go again and continue to support this excellent local spot.

Homemade sausage bahn mi was delicious, fresh and the slightly warm baguette had just the right amount of extra crunch to set this apart for your standard bahn mi. Tofu and taro bún noodles was especially yummy because of just a touch of coconut cream that created a silkiness that elevated this to the next level. Really stands apart from the usual bún noodle dish! Check out the photo for the slightly glossy silky sheen!

A welcome addition to the Foothill Blvd dining scene, this Vietnamese breakfast-brunch-lunch cafe serves a streamlined menu of regularly updated meat, vegan and gluten free options. At the beach noodles (bun tam bi), with refreshingly light coconut broth and assortment of fresh herbs and bean sprouts. D-light rolls (bo bia chay), clean crunch and satisfyingly plant-based — jicama a wonderful touch. Betel-wrapped beef over vermicelli, a unique herbaceous treat. Street side stool seating like back in Vietnam. Stay tuned for BYO happy hour soon to come!

Yelp
How do you rate a place that is never open when you stop by? :-D You believe your friends who ate here before you and thought the food and service was amazing. Then you leave 5 stars, because you think supporting small neighborhood spots is important. And finally, you swing by whenever you are in the neighborhood and try to eat at this unicorn of a place...

Yelp
3 Bottled Fish has been a Viet pop up vendor for years. This is the 3rd time for me and it was a "charm". Opened where Orbit coffee was. Menu changes slightly every week. Disappointed i missed Bun Rieu, Bun Bo Hue. 2ish tables inside for dining. Flatscreen showing drama. Minimal decor. Ordered at counter, pay, food came out in 5ish minutes. Offerings: banh mi, Eastside noodles, sunset spritzer. Eats: Eastside noodle aka Bun Tit Nuong (14) -sliced house made sausage, slightly chewy, with carrots, greens, bean sprouts, sliced cucumbers, peanuts atop rice vermicelli noodles. -Poured the sweet tasting nuoc cham over the dish, mixed it up, tasted deliz & authentic.. Drink: ca phe sua da (Vietnamese coffee, 7) -tasted like the usual cold Viet coffee, nothing special. Did taste smoother than usual. 4.5 stars. Would repeat to try shaking beef, the buns. 1st time for bun tit nuong, impressed. *entrees are made in limited qualities. Can sell out...

Yelp
I normally get a coffee and a sandwich, and this week, the pork belly sandwich sounds delicious. However, I saw shaking beef on the menu and I dropped everything this morning to go get one. I don't usually write more than 2 reviews (1 initially and 1 update) per place I go to, but this is an exception because the shaking beef was so good. I also had to share a photo of it. The beef is perfectly seasoned and seared, not too salty and not bland at all. Eat it right away while it's hot and fresh off the grill, the beef melts in your mouth. The use of broken rice and a perfect crispy on the outside while runny on the inside over medium cooked egg gave it a real authentic Vietnamese feel. Please come and get some. The portion size is just right for lunch.

Yelp
We just ate here for the first time. Had pork bahn mi and pork vermicelli bowl. Both were super delicious and everything was really fresh. The iced coffee and lotus tea were also very good. Just get here early as she sold out of everything by the time we left at 1.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and Get This FOOD! I've had beef noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue) and Big Market Banh Mi and they were both so tasty and succulent. And the Viet Iced Coffee is BOMB. I drive out from Pleasant Hill just for that! The staff makes everything with care, and it's worth it!

Yelp
Cute owner operated neighborhood cafe serving up Vietnamese dishes and coffee. Can tell food is made with love - packed with flavor, yet clean and balanced. Don't miss out on the at the beach noodles - definitely will come back for this. Loved the addition of coconut milk in this dish - making an amazing partnership between savory and sweet. I asked them to throw in some jalapeños because i love a little kick! Vietnamese coffee is how I like it - strong espresso and not overly sweet. Great lunch spot if you're in the neighborhood! I will be back to try the rest of their menu.

Yelp
I love the food! Been following 3 Bottled Fish since their start at the farmer's market. They take their time with the food, well worth the wait. My favorite is the Big Market Banh Mi, and At the Beach noodles.

Yelp
I was very impressed by the super high quality here. I've been around and I can say this is one of the finest ever Vietnamese places. Very authentic but very fine too. Bun Bo hue was a masterpiece and the sua da cafe was sublime. Congrats on being a transcendent experience-to Paulette.

Yelp
I'M IN LOVE WITH VIETNAMESE FOODS HERE! It's my new favorite place for the savory dishes that I can't find in other viet restaurants. The dippings and sauces are 10/10 recommended. The service is good overall. Staff are friendly and dedicated as how every ingredient of the dish is displayed. Super cool interior decor as well! I don't normally write a Yelp review but GOTTA this time. The owner is passionate and you will be impressed by the foods at this little corner of Vietnam

Yelp
Great pho and atmosphere! Small quaint clean and friendly. Not very many tables to sit at but we were the only ones so grabbed the small round by the front window. What a great neighborhood addition!

Yelp
Delicious steak n egg banh mi and super fun vibes. Fun folks singing karaoke and cooking up a storm on a Saturday, and nice ambience and great books in the small seating area. I'll be back!

Yelp
Delicious and authentic Vietnamese cafe with a cool vibe and legit viet iced coffee to go. We came hungry and enjoyed the banh mi, noodles and rice plate. Check this local joint out, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Went here for lunch. Nice place on the inside with good seating. What blew me away was the food. Had the vermicelli bowl with homemade pork sausage. I lived in San Jose and worked in East San Jose and this was the best vermicelli bowl I've had in the bay. Whatever they did to make that homemade sausage as good as it was I dunno, but I plan on eating here on a regular basis. The Vietnamese coffee is also better than anything you'll find in the town. To top it off the chef is super nice and delivers great service. If you're nervous coming here in Fruitvale don't be. It's a nice little street with plenty of parking. Support this new place and the wonderful people inside it.

Yelp
I've been going to 3 Bottled Fish's stand at Stonestown for almost 7 years, so I had to check out their first-ever brick-and-mortar in Oakland. Paulette immediately recognized me as soon as I walked through the door and thanked me for crossing the bridge to visit her place. It's a tiny storefront in a mostly residential neighborhood with a tire place on the corner. It's a really cute and welcoming space with embroidered sampler artwork on the walls. I purchased three banh mis, three shaking beef rice plates, and three viet iced coffees for me, my daughter, and her roommate. All of it was [chef's kiss]. As a Viet who lives in SF, I'm always on the lookout for Viet cuisine that doesn't require a drive to San Jose (which is where most of the Viet diaspora lives). Local peeps, be sure to support Paulette and 3 Bottled Fish!

Yelp
Love the food!!! The coffee is the best!!! Can't wait to come back for more!!! Best Vietnamese cafe around!!!

Yelp
Love the vibe here. The only restaurant that has Thick Noodles and Creamy Coconut Milk- Banh Tam Bi in NorCal. If you are a true Vietnamese then you MUST try this restaurant. They would make your dishes like how your Vietnamese mama makes at home- feel like home. Service was fast and the CHEF was very thoughtful in every customers dishes (you could tell it in how they decor in your dishes). THIS IS A MUST TRY VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IN THE AREA.
