The Best Restaurants In Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There’s stiff competition for Vietnamese food all over the Seattle area, but this place may be among the more versatile spots, working just as well for takeout as it does for dining in with a date or friends. While there’s nothing particularly mind-blowing on the menu, they’ve got lovely vermicelli bowls, flaky bánh mì, and marinades that have a great sweet-savory balance." - nate watters, gabe guarente

3 Bros is a versatile spot that serves a mean vermicelli bowl - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There’s stiff competition for Vietnamese food all over the Seattle area, but this place in Burien is among the more versatile spots, working just as well for dining in as it does for takeout. The casual spot has a pleasant floral-festooned dining room that’s good for an impromptu date or catch-up with friends. And while there’s nothing particularly mindblowing on the menu, they’ve got lovely vermicelli bowls good for sharing, flaky bánh mì, and marinades that have a nice sweet-savory balance. There’s no need to travel across town for this spot, but consider it the next time you want a reliable, satisfying meal while traveling through on the way to Sea-Tac. Food Rundown Chicken Pops Crispy, with dark meat inside that’s juicy. But the breading needs more seasoning. Pass on it and save room for other stuff. photo credit: Gabe Guarente Steak & Brisket Phở Are there better pho bowls around the Seattle area? Yes. Would we still eat this one whenever possible? Absolutely. We particularly like the steak and brisket version with all that tender meat soaked in a light broth. photo credit: Gabe Guarente Vermicelli Combo Easily the best dish here. Order as a combo to get nicely charred chicken, tender grilled shrimp, and crispy egg rolls, all brightened with fish sauce that the noodles absorb like a champ. photo credit: Gabe Guarente Bánh Mì The bread is flakier than George R.R. Martin on a deadline and complements whatever you get inside, particularly sticky-sweet pork. Our one quibble is that it could use a smear of pate. photo credit: Gabe Guarente" - Gabe Guarente

Google
This place has all the Vietnamese standards and they are delicious and pretty solid. We ordered a noodle salad bowl that came with fried onions which I think is the best upgrade that a lot of places don’t have. The toppings were plentiful fresh and well-made. We also ordered the chicken pho, the broth was delicious. The chicken was lacking in flavor, but all the toppings were fresh and good to go. They add a boiled egg to their version. I think it was supposed to be soft, but it was pretty hard cooked. We ordered both type of wings, garlic, butter, and fish sauce, and they were absolutely delicious. Very juicy and succulent, we liked the fish sauce ones the best. We ordered over the phone for pick up and it was incredibly efficient, packed Well, and the service was very very kind.

We went for a late breakfast on Saturday, and the place was almost full, the parking can be a bit difficult. We ordered the pork banh mi and 3 Bros dry rice noodles. The banh mi was delicious, the bread fluffy, crispy and still warm with the right amount of dressings 😋 Update: I went again and slowed down chewing. I enjoyed the crunchiness and when I realized the banh mi was just gone The noodles were quite flavorful and the portion was generous. Definitely we are coming back and try more dishes.

This is the second time stopping here for lunch after flying into SeaTac. The food has not disappointed! I am sure we will stop in the next time we are in the area. The bread is always fresh for the Banh Mi and the tofu is done perfect. We have also had the Pho it is very good.

Google
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was impeccable (they do a really good job at making you feel comfortable and at peace even with the location) and the service was amazing. We got the Steak & Brisket Pho, and a tofu bowl and they were both outstanding.

Google
Love this family-owned restaurant with its nice ambiance and tasteful decor that tells a story. All the dishes we tried were delicious and we were told everything is made from scratch including the chili paste. The salted lime drink was the best I have ever had anywhere! Thank you chi Lệ Hằng and everyone for your attentive service, and for choosing Seattle for your business. We will definitely come back with family and friends!

Google
I went to this cute Vietnamese restaurant for brunch and couldn't be happier. It feels like the coziest of family-run restaurants. The food was delicious and the portions generous. There's a lovely atmosphere, warm and inviting, perfect for taking my girlfriend on dates. It was so good and the menu had so many interesting items, I'll absolutely go back there again.

Google
Google maps didn't do a good job on getting us to the correct parking lot, which was in the gas station parking lot, but after we entered everything was perfect. The atmosphere was nice, the service was great and the food was not just the right portion but tasted great. We went here because of the 5 star reviews and I definitely be adding another 5 stars.

Google
Delicious high quality dishes and noodle soups! Very generous portions, great value in a comfortable and clean atmosphere. Will come back again to try; the rice plate and Hu Tieu soup, and spring rolls were filling and tasty

Yelp
Perfect meal, especially that we were at SeaTac Airport Marriott during an overnight layover and looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant nearby. My favorite world cuisine and 3 Bros did not disappoint! Amazing Vietnamese food. Friendly and competent Vietnamese service staff and no more than a 10 minute wait for our dishes, with perfect timing to enjoy our appetizer before the main courses arrived We started our meal with cold Viet prawn spring rolls with shrimp and a satay sauce, absolutely exquisite My wife's prawn pho was simply the best we've ever tasted. It was a huge serving; the broth flavor defined the word sublime, and loaded with noodles, could not come close to finishing. She also ordered a beautiful cold bubbly drink which our server told as she served it, not to mix or stir, as the flavors are to be drunk from the bottom up with a straw, just as the mixture had been layered. She gave me a sip and I wished I had had ordered one myself. Pricing was very fair. Will definitely return, about a 7 minute ride from SeaTac Marriott and worth every minute of travel.

Yelp
Casual, homey spot with its own little parking lot (so that's a plus). Service is friendly but also kinda ~idk~ lacking?? The wings were great though, as were the unique NON-ALCOHOLIC beverages. **Side note: They only serve beer... well one beer... Heineken, I believe** Would I go back? Mmm... just maybe. BUT if I do I'll definitely try another one of those cool drinks.

Yelp
BEST PHO IN WASHINGTON BY FAR. And some of the best pho I've had, ever!! We stopped by this little restaurant right before we dropped off family at the airport. Didn't expect much and was happily blown away! We ordered to go and were seated during our wait and also served hot tea! The place was clean and the staff were extremely kind and hospitable. It was a long drive til we finally got home but the food was AMAZING. We ordered brisket pho, chicken pho and prawn spring rolls - all delicious! Also the chicken pho came with an EGG. In this economy?! So generous!! I wish this location was closer to home for me, I'd definitely eat here at least once a week if it was!

Yelp
A good vietnamese restaurant in Burien. I ordered the chicken pho and tofu spring rolls. the pho was really good with rich, umami broth flavor and I especially like slurping the noodles with that feeling of rich, fatty broth -nuoc beo- on my lips and rich mouthfeel...a tell-tale sign of authentic pho!
google avatar

Nami N.

Yelp
I came back to 3Bros for lunch with my friends. No matter what you eat, it's delicious. The special pho eaten, especially on cold days, is exceptionally delicious. This is the only place that serves comprementary homemade warm roasted rice tea. You should definitely give it a try.

Yelp
First meal in Seattle! It filled our empty stomachs after a long day of travel but was it the best Vietnamese...? There seemed to be ample parking, about 5 stalls out front and more in the back, free as well. There was a sign that stated under new management. That was okay...? Anyways we got pho, green papaya salad, nuoc mam chicken wings and a bunch more. The chicken wings were crisp and hot. Papaya salad was missing some heat. The portions were very generous but missing small things here and there that made the meal just OK. Service was good, the hostess was very sweet and they also have clean restrooms.

Yelp
Wow! Show stopper. Chicken pops, crispy, but juicy and tender on the inside. Garlic Butter Chicken wings **WARNING: HOT!!!!" They come out fresh out the pan! Don't burn yourself! Super Crispy, but again chicken was so tender, nice Garlic and Butter flavor! My friend got the Grilled Chicken & Crispy Egg Roll Vermicelli, he said it was so good. A 9 out of 10. I got the Grilled Pork Vietnamese Sandwich. The bread was so fresh, crunchy on the outside with a soft inside. The pork was grilled to perfection. I loved the pickled carrot and daikon. A bright tart flavor, that blended so well with the Grilled pork and sauce that was lightly drizzled in the sandwich. It made a perfect pairing!

Yelp
Our favorite Vietnamese in the area. Patronized over a dozen times over the past year. Excellent food. Superb friendly service. Tried many dishes. Vermicelli bowl - pork. Incredible freshness, savory pork cutlet. Pho - flavorful broth, on point noodles. Excellently flavorful wings. Bahn Mi - crunchy, fresh, tasty.

Yelp
Went to order takeout on a Saturday night within the hour of closing time. There were a few customers dining in and another couple came as I was waiting for my order. The restaurant has a nice feel and welcoming. The man behind the counter was very nice. He asked if I wanted any water or hot tea while waiting. I said no, but he ended up giving me barley tea and explained there was no caffeine in it so I gladly drank it. I got the steak & beef pho and prawn spring roll. The pho broth was quite tasty, although seems a bit too oily compared to other pho i've had before. There's a decent amount of meat for the price and good amount of noodles. The prawn spring roll was a good size. There was a taste towards the end of the roll that I can't quite identify. It wasn't bad but not great either. The sauce was pretty good. I would love to dine in another time and also try their banh mi.

Yelp
Finally, a legit hủ tiếu spot! Ever since I moved to Washington, I've been on a mission to find a place that does hủ tiếu right and lets me swap in mì. Three years later--boom, here we are. 3 Bros, you have my heart (and my stomach). Food: Straight-up solid. The broth? Chef's kiss. Flavorful, not too heavy, and just the right balance of savory goodness. The noodles were on point, and they don't skimp on the toppings (I even asked for extra limes and chives with no extra charge). And can we talk about the pickled jalapeños? If you know, you know. Bonus points for that. I got full halfway through, but the food was so good I forced myself to finish everything--including the soup. No regrets. My wife got the phở tái bò viên and loved it. She even said the broth was better than our other go-to spot in Kent, and that's a huge compliment. We got our son the bún thịt nướng chả giò, and he cleared his bowl--which, if you have a toddler, you know is basically the ultimate stamp of approval. We ended up taking the rest home since we both got full from our bowls of soup. Service: Trâm took care of us, and she was amazing--super sweet and thoughtful. She even made sure our 2-year-old was comfortable, which is a big deal because dining with a toddler is basically a sport. Ambience: Clean. Like, actually clean. No sticky tables, no questionable condiment bottles (actually labeled properly)--just a well-kept, inviting spot. It's a decent size too, so you're not elbow-to-elbow with strangers while slurping your noodles. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid bowl of hủ tiếu (or mì, or both), 3 Bros is where it's at. I'm just mad I didn't find it sooner as we're moving back to California next month T_T

Yelp
Still super impressed with 3 bros! We got pork vermicelli, popcorn chicken, egg rolls, and the braised duck noodle soup. The duck soup stole the show this time! The broth brings me life!!! Reminds me of my childhood. And as we learned from Ratatouille, food that takes you back to childhood wins every time.

Yelp
My new favorite vietnamese restaurant in Burien! The new restaurant remodeled the interior which makes the atmosphere a lot more inviting. Very clean restaurant, even the bathrooms are really clean! (which isn't common for a lot of viet restaurants). Even the staff are super friendly and attentive. Checking out the menu the prices seems to be pretty fair. Tried the Bun Dac Biet (vermicelli special) comes w/ shrimp, chicken, pork and an eggroll for $17. Also got a side of the pho broth ($2). All fresh and scrumtious! The staff (or owner) also gave us some complimentary fish sauce wings which were perfectly cooked! Will definitely return and try the rice dishes next time!

Yelp
Cute joint with great food and even better service! We started with hot tea, served in the cutest little teapot--I seriously wanted to take it home. I had my eye on the pork bánh mì, and it did not disappoint. The bread was perfectly crunchy, the veggies were fresh, and the pork was seasoned really well. For $8, it was a solid choice. Now, onto the star of the show: the pho. The broth was rich and full of flavor, and the meat cuts were great. I would've liked a bit more meat to balance out the broth and noodles, but overall, it was delicious. Honestly, I'd recommend this place for the bánh mì alone! Big shoutout to the servers--the two hostesses were incredibly attentive and made the experience that much better. Thank you, ladies! :)

Yelp
Restaurant has limited parking off the Main Street. But food is quite good and restaurant really clean with nice decor!

Yelp
If I could afford it, I would eat at this restaurant every day. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area. Service is always amazing and the food is even better.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
I was expecting more from 3 Bros but found it to be just okay. First off, the parking situation is very limited and is a deterring factor. The service was friendly and the interior is clean and modern. Unfortunately, the food was very slow to come out. We waited over 30 minutes for our food after ordering. The pho broth was oily and I thought the flavor was not memorable. Given the difficult parking and slow service, I was not impressed enough to come back.

Kathleen H.

Yelp
The food and service was impeccable. We ordered the duck leg pho, grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli salad, shrimp fresh rolls and chicken wings with butter and garlic. Everything was so flavorful, well prepared and presented. The chicken wings were honestly the best I've ever had.
google avatar

Naomi S.

Yelp
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Burien. We ordered the Brisket Pho with extra noodles and grilled pork chops with broken rice. The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The 2 dishes ended up being the perfect amount for myself, my husband and our 5 year old son with nothing left over. The interior was exceptionally clean and service was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and make it a point to stop by if we are in the area.

Yelp
immaculate restaurant with very friendly welcome, and hot cup of tea while i waited for my order that i placed to go. it traveled home well and tasted great! generous portion and i'll be back for sure to try more.

Yelp
We have been going for dine-in and take-out since they opened up as 3Bros. Great chicken vermicelli and the fish sauce wings are so delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is the best pho in Burien!!! This place is under new ownership. It used to be Pho Lily for a long time and then it was something else for a while, can't remember the name. Whoever took it over after pho Lily was trash so I never went back. Saw that the name changed again and was under new ownership so thought I'd give it another go. To say I was surprised at how good it was is an understatement. After trying all the other pho places around here and being disappointed every time, I'd given up hope!! I've had the beef pho here and the chicken pho. The broth is phenomenal. Super rich and savory, and not too sweet! I hate when the broth is sweet. Highly recommend checking them out since the new owners have completely changed the menu and the food here is superb!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Best pho I've had! I'm no connoisseur, but I've been to maybe 25 different pho places over the last 20 years and this one takes the crown on flavor and freshness. So good I'm waiting on an order of chicken pops now despite being full already. Service was great. Ambience is really nice despite being on a pretty busy corner. This will be a go too stop any time in in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Warmly decorated little restaurant near Safeway. It has its own small parking lot. The food was made with really fresh ingredients. The bean sprouts were so crunchy. Dry pho noodle dish was my favorite. Also got the fresh spring rolls, eggrolls, papaya salad, and a vermicelli dish. You choose the protein you want with many of the dishes. All good and fresh, fresh, fresh. There was a bit of a language barrier with the waitperson but service was good and she made a good recommendation for us.
google avatar

Long N.

Yelp
We ordered 2 dishes and both were great. The Pho had great aroma and the sauce in the Hu Tieu (dry style) was good. What I liked is the noodle was cooked the way I like and they used high quality ingredients for sure. Their coffee and Thai tea were also good, not too sweet like other places
google avatar

Raymond U.

Yelp
Three Brothers Vietnamese in Burien is the kind of place that makes you stop mid-bite and say, *damn, this is good.* The broth in the pho is deep and soulful--slow-simmered magic. Their vermicelli bowls are fresh, clean, and packed with flavor. Ridiculous--in the best way. Service is quick, warm, and no-nonsense. Everything here is made with care and served with pride. You feel it in the food and the vibe. It's unpretentious, generous, and exactly what you want when you're craving something honest and deeply satisfying. This is Vietnamese comfort food done right. Burien's lucky to have them. So are we. Go hungry, leave full--and grateful.

S M.

Yelp
ordered brisket pho to go and quality of meat, veggies look good. broth has good spices but little too much msg and lack of bone broth flavor. And portion is just right for 1 person to finish whole thing including broth. but it doesn't get you full. if other restaurant has sm or lg option this place is considered small. staffs were all friendly with smiles on their face. heads up: parking is very limited and maybe difficult for some to exit since very tight space.

Dayna W.

Yelp
Food: we've had the pho (great broth), bun vermicelli pork salad (meat is grilled nicely and has a good flavor, and pork banh mi ( filling is delicious). Servers are very nice. We go there often and everything is consistently great.
google avatar

Siscily E.

Yelp
Regular here for the steak pho, egg rolls, pork chops & vermicelli. Health department rating on door is EXCELLENT! Service is always prompt, friendly and food delicious!
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
Generous portions, reasonable pricing, kind, personable staff, clean! We visited for take-out; veg papaya salad, tofu bun and grilled chicken bun. Fresh ingredients. Tofu bun sauce was tasty. Bahn mi available in about a month (early July?) Recommend!
google avatar

Harry E.

Yelp
A lovely restaurant. The interior is warm and inviting. The staff was hospitable, friendly, and gentle. My wife and I felt relaxed eating here. We were given complimentary hot tea (tasted like barley tea) after we were seated. My wife had the steak/meatball pho and I had the chicken pho. Both were exquisite and delicious. Makes us want to move to the area, but for now we will just savor the memory of this wonderful place!

Sam W.

Yelp
While the vegetarian options are somewhat limited, each dish we ordered was superb. The vegetarian noddles, the fresh tofu rolls, the egg Bahn Mi -- each was a 10 of 10. We will return, but one would hope that 3 Bros adds dishes for those of us who are vegetarians.

Anthony D.

Yelp
Went with my daughter today and both of us ordered the Pho and loved it. Previous reviews were spot on about good pho, clean restaurant and great polite servers. Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Addison T.

Yelp
Number one, the place is a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area. The nicely decorated interior made up for the not so nice exterior (parking lot, etc). The gals who waited on us were kind and gracious but that was all that left a great impression. I ordered their mi vit tiem (a Chinese inspired noodle soup dish with duck and egg noodle) and I chose the dry version with the soup served on the side. It comes with a quarter duck leg, egg noodle and some greens. The duck was overcooked (deep fried) to the point when it was extremely tough to eat. There were still feathers on the thing and it was overall off putting. Also I didn't think the value was good for the food, I paid $50 for two bowls of noodle soup. Sadly to say that it was first and last time.
google avatar

Jasmine H.

Yelp
Restaurant has rebranded since I was young! Service was incredible and kind, the iced tea kept flowing steadily. I had a hu tieu kho which is perfect for these warm summer months and the fish sauce chicken wings were excellent. I brought my baby and he enjoyed his time there and the wait staff was immensely kind. Little baby enjoyed the decor insider as well!
google avatar

Trav H.

Yelp
First I want to say every employee I saw or met was super nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean and looks well kept. I could see parking being difficult if it was busy but that's out of their control. The food came out at a good speed, and the sides with my pho was a perfect amount so I didn't end up wasting anything, but if you like tons of stuff in yours you may end up asking for more. I thought I ordered the chicken breast pho but it had pulled chicken which is probably me misreading the menu or not asking, but I would have preferred chicken breast. My only constructive criticism is that there's better broth close nearby. Oh I also really didn't care for the egg that was in it, but again, maybe that's just the authentic Vietnamese way. I've had egg in ramen before and so it isn't my first egg in a soup, but that's Japanese, so maybe this was how it was supposed to taste.
google avatar

Dana D.

Yelp
Terrifically fresh ingredients. Very clean. Wonderful and thoughtful service. Plenty of parking. Strong recommendation. One of the top tier pho spots in Seattle. And it knocks it out of the park on every count.

Christine N.

Yelp
This egg noodles soup is really yummy. The duck meat is tender and has good flavor. I've had this dish many different places and so far this one is the best. Highly recommended. I don't even like duck meat but this one is super good.
google avatar

Levi S.

Yelp
Categorical 5 star review-- the food, the service, the interior, even the price is reasonable for how much food you get. Staff gave us free tea because we're from out of town and they wanted us to try it!

Nateale K.

Yelp
The flavor of the pho broth was incredible! I only added lime juice and one jalapeño slice, so the broth stood out on its own, that's why 4 stars. But it was cool when it arrived to me. It took exactly 20 minutes for the DoorDash guy to get it to me from the time I placed my order, and with the piping hot temperature pho usually comes out at when I'm eating in house I feel like it should have at least been warm. I was in a space with no microwave and had cool broth with raw steak sitting in my box. So I had to trash the steak because that's how cool the broth was, it wouldn't have even changed the color of the steak.
google avatar

Grant W.

Yelp
I have tried many pho locations and this one had everything going for it. First of all very good food, quality ingredients. The atmosphere was clean and warm. The service was very great and friendly. This will be a new place that we continue to come to when the pho cravings hit
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
Great friendly service and wonderful food. I have been twice now. Amazing peanut sauce and fresh rolls and great sandwiches.

S H.

Yelp
Checked out new-ish pho place for dinner. Not packed. Not empty. Nice. Clean. Service was quick and food was delicious. Dining partner and I both ordered pho and we split a banh mi. Looking forward to going there again!
google avatar

Jj T.

Yelp
Authentic and delicious. Their Bahn mi is out of this world. Try their homemade sauces.

Tom N.

Yelp
First - broth is good. Noodles - chewy and held well with broth. Here are the issues - tiny bowl, little meats and high price. So, low price to quality ratio. Decent enough for other cities but certainly not for Seattle area. We had a pho crawl and four out of six would rate higher in quality of broth, noodles, quality and quantity of meats as well as price point. Won't come back. Also ordered a banh mi to go. Bread was awful, grilled pork was totally imbalanced - too sweet and not enough lemongrass flavor. High price again for the size!
google avatar

Peter L.

Yelp
The Bahn Mi is a good choice. I used to go to Pho Tai in South center, but they changed hands and the sandwiches went down hill. This is our new sandwich spot. Also the chicken pops are tasty. Looking forward to trying more from these nice people.
google avatar

Hawk F.

Yelp
Very good and fresh and delicious food. The Phò was perfect fresh veggies and meats , broth was a little darker than I was used to but still top notch . The staff was nice and friendly next is the pork chops with broken rice
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Fresh authentic Vietnamese food. The atmosphere and service were great. Will be going back for sure!!

John Y.

Yelp
Needing to kill some time before our flight at SEA-TAC we decided to eat at 3 Bros as it was conveniently close to the airport. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant (including the restrooms) was spotless. There was ample parking. The varied food we all ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. Best of all were the employees who were all charming, attentive, and gracious to deal with. It was a very pleasant dining experience and we are going to make an effort to go back there whenever we are in the area. We highly recommend 3 Bros Vietnamese Cuisine.

Alexander C.

Yelp
Take the time to stop by. If you're in Burien and thinking about it (pho,) just do it. We were greeted with the warmest smile and hospitality--the appreciation of us stopping by was so apparent from the jump. Food was great. Pho is my favorite food, so I've bounced around and tried many restaurants.
