saw many good reviews and decided to try dis stall's stingray, it did not disappoint me. sambal chili was on point and the flesh of the stingray was fresh and plump. shall try their crabs nxt time! prices and waiting time are reasonable.

During our second visit to Newton Food Centre, my husband generously gave me 50 dollars to spend however I pleased. I thought I would be able to try many different things, but I ended up splurging all of it on one incredible Singapore chili crab from Awesome Always—and I have no regrets at all. The crab was incredibly fresh, with tender, succulent meat that came off the shell easily. The chili sauce was the perfect blend of sweet, savory, and spicy, with a wonderful depth of flavor that lingered on the palate. The sauce was thick and sticky enough to soak up with the accompanying fried mantou buns, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. This stall really knows how to deliver classic Singapore chili crab with authentic taste and quality ingredients. If you’re at Newton and craving seafood, 31 Heng Heng BBQ should be at the top of your list.

The chilli crab was amazing - one of the best dishes I've had in Singapore. Was literally finger licking good. Try the crab with the mantou bread - the combo works very well!

Amazing bbq at this stall. Their stingray is fresh and moist, and the sambal they use is very tasty. I ordered many dishes from them. Every dish was on point. The guy taking orders was also very friendly, even told us to enjoy our dinner first and we can pay later after finish eating. They accept CDC vouchers too. Highly recommend!

The food was super delicious, the shrimps seemed fresh but the sting Rey with sambal was way better than other restaurants

Here again for our favorite food! Always fresh and tasty, though the portions seem smaller than on our last visit!
